Reviews From google play store

UI is not bad. Had a hard time communicating with customer service when I had missing/wrong items. Had to either do a web chat or make a phone call and after the initial contact, the person chatting just stopped communicating. Checked my email and the agent had processed a refund for an amount that didn't make sense. I'll probably stick to Door Dash from now on.

This app and service offer quite a range of restaurants, with intuitive UI, so anyone can order without a problem. However this app has several problems, which prevent giving it more than 2 stars. First, no map track of your order, which makes it impossible to see, where your order is. Secondly, no way of contacting the delivery. It makes you just wait for the call from them, and never being able to call them. E.g. I lost around 30 dollars having this issue. I recommend you to use other apps.

The app fluctuates between good and bad leaving me Luke warm. I will say the customer service is a joke and if you have special instructions, be prepared for them to be readily ignored. I assume it has something to do with how they display information to the restaurant. Although, I do put that equally on untrained restaurant employees.

This app leads to some expensive purchases. However there are frequent perks that include free items and $5 discounts. The app gives you access to restaurants that are actually open so you're never disappointed by a cancellation. If I got a dollar for how many times my food was cancelled by door dash I could get a 3 course meal on Grubhub.

Hidden service fees, a "sort by delivery fee" option that hasn't worked in over a year, constant bombardment with ads for irrelevant restaurants, and a generally poor search function that comes up with insane results that make no sense. Thanks but no thanks. Switching to some other app. This nonsense is driving me crazy.

Easy to use. Lots of different types of restaurants to choose from. Drivers are friendly, courteous, and they keep you up to date on the delivery. The delivery time has always been prompt and the order is correct. I also love the donation feature where it rounds up my bill and donates the change and gives me an even numbered bill which makes it easier to figure out the tip.

A bit pricey, but reliable. There was only one instance where I never got my food, and GH didn't give me any trouble about refunding my money. My only gripe is that some of these menus aren't up to date..but that's not on GH's end, that's on the restaurant. Overall, pleasant experiences. Thanks GH!

Error messages dont describe what the issues are in the app. There is a glitch where grubhub will accept your order & show a confirmation code, but cancel the order. This happened to me four times. Customer support was unable to help. Spent 45 minutes trying to put an order through on two separate cards, both of which have plenty of funds on them. Absolutely terrible experience. I will never use this app again and will be sharing my terrible experience with all who will listen as a warning

Bought out my university's tapingo app and its gone downhill ever since. In my opinion it's just ugly and difficult to navigate. Many of my friends and I cannot order from university restaurants. We attach our university to the app and then when we go to university dining the app says it cant find any restaurants. This has been a problem for weeks so it's not a one off thing. Can't order on campus food from web browser either Fix your app ffs. I know you have the money for it.

Extremely glitchy app. Used to use tappingo with no problems. This app loggs me out every time and shows me random restaurants that aren't even in my area. It's frustrating to always have to sign in before I can order food. Plus they have two different types of taxes. Extremely frustrating.

I like the fact that I can now get food delivered to my home, where before this app I couldn't. Unfortunately the service fee is rather steep. So therefore I can't justify using the app. It costs Way less just to go get the food myself. I don't mind paying a fee, but what is being charged is too much.

Might as well stand in line. I use it for school and sometimes I have to rush and ordering online it's better but the app doesn't even have the entire menu! Still needs lots of work. Sometimes the form of payment doesn't even work.

Great app! The only thing I would change is the food lists arent broken up into different catagories. I feel like I'm scrolling forever sometimes tryi g to get to the food I want to order. Add catagories for the food lists provided by restaurants. Otherwise great app!

At first i liked the app but then it came to ordering it gives you $12 cash for the app but ypu cannot use it, you cannot use the promo codes they send you. If you have done your first order they continue to send you promo codes and yet you cannot use them, whats up with that. So i recommend not to use grubhub.

I'm not impressed with an App being used by a lot of people. Poorly designed and not easy to navigate. I was trying to place an order and there was no place to type in special instructions to the restaurant. This is all about food and people have different preferences about some ingredients. Also how I delete my account?

Delivery fees are hidden until you add food to cart, tip amount is based off total instead of food, and the app makes no improvements, ever. "Go to" system is very inaccurate, can't read full reviews if long, and can't easily find your own in the review section or in past orders. Order page kicks you out of app if you hit the back button and you still can't rate individual menu items. Scrolling through restaurants you can't see where you've eaten or what you rated either. No change for years.

Your app is cool and easy to use, but your prices are absolutely unreasonable, you charge the restaurants and the customer way too much money, your essentially the drug addict that keeps coming around and begging for a 5 or 10 dollar bill until people get tired and find something better.

It's very convenient. The orders somehow always ends up way more expensive than you expect. I'm not sure if the prices are higher because I'm paying for a convenience or there's are just more fees than I noticed. I do continue to use it, however. The convenience is worth the cost.

This may be the best customer experience app out there. Dev wise, app is solid. Not sure if possible but wish Google images photos of restaurant were included. Those are key for researching spots in addition to GrubHub reviews. I actually recommend opting in for notifications they do good job. Also I like that I can round my dollar up to charity, makes me feel like Mother Theresa.

I am so glad I installed this I am using it for my first time and so far it works well I just don't know If I actually have to give the person a tip or not because of it is already paid. Hehe I love Sonics drive in so yeah. It will be of major help for my college classes.

It's a good app if you want to wait an hour and a half for food, have confirmation it's been picked up and then cancelled with no explanation! Then have to wait 5-10 business days to get your money back!

Cons: The app takes a while to load, sometimes doesn't load, and doesn't have a lot of the search filters as other apps. There are also delivery fees and service charges on all purchases, at least in my town. Positive: large selection of restaurants.

Every time I have used this app, my food has taken well over an hour, even more than 4 hours once. Just a huge hassle!

Been using it for a while, it works. Not as stable as tapingo, but getting better. I guess the restaurants are slowly working out the glitches with their menus that were likely just imported into this app from tapingo.

Easy to use never have problems with the app, but all the fees are getting a bit high, and sometimes it's a pain to get help if you have an issue with an order. Uber eats is better but doesn't have certain restaurants I like.

At first I was really skeptical. However, I have had mostly great experiences with the restaurants. I have used them for surprise birthday parties and other fun events. I also used them as a better alternative to ordering the boring typical. High Five!

Very Convenient, fast delivery and friendly drivers. I haven't used the app too many times, however it has helped tremendously in a pinch !!! 👍🏽

One of the easiest ways to get food quickly. From my experience, grub hub tends to have many more restaurants I personally enjoy than any of the other apps. And the perks section is great if you want to get some good deals and try out new places.

Do not use this app. I sat on my doorstep with the app open as the driver approached on the map. The driver parked a block away and I waited. After a couple mins I sent a text to the driver asking "is there and issue finding the place?". No response. Another couple mins, I call the driver, doesn't pick up. A min later the app updates "delivered". I text with customer service, long story short, they say the driver tried to contact me but couldn't and I'm still getting charged for the food. FFS.

It is useful for me, I can plan out food to arrive for when I get off work. If you are looking to get food extra fast then this won't be for you. The delivery time usually are about an hour so plan in advance and you will like the app but not for on the spot. I am very satisfied with.

I use it a lot and I've had a lot of issues with certain items not being available and the restaurant or app not communicating that. Also the app is really inconsiderate of time and money.

Your app is easy to read and follow and items are easy to place into the bag or edit. I also know you treat your drivers better than any other delivery service which is why I've switched to support you.

I used it once, delivery kept getting pushed back in 10 minute increments until it was well over an hour late. After 45 minutes I was ready to cancel it, but the app wouldn't allow it. Doubt I'll use it again. Not sure what you mean by "update order details here"

I like the app. Easy to use and understand. However, all of the fees and add on charges are pretty out of control. You can easily double the amount spent on food just adding in the fees and charges at the end (no exaggeration, double). Definitely if you add a fair tip to the driver as well. Also, because the fees and charges arent shown prior, it 'feels' a bit deceptive when they pop up just before placing the order.

Most of the time I've used this. Or my friend has they delay our order for hours, and it is difficult getting it resolved with customer service and they just eventually cancel. Now I have "credits" I can use for an app that doesnt work instead of my money back...

This delivery service is always on time! As for the app, however, they claim to add tips that are way higher than the percentage they indicate. Example: 22% of $14 is hardly $4.37, but they stated it anyway, lol. Glad they have customization. Also, not sure what the difference is between the Delivery fee and the Service fee since it also gives the option to tip...

App is pretty easy to use. Wish there were options for more personalization on orders. Also, wish tips could be adjusted after delivery should there be an issue. Otherwise, it's fine. Use it all the time.

I love the app,all my favorite restaurants delivered to me,awesome I have a bug to report tho, while setting up my account I couldn't do my address, phone # etc without cling my grubhub and going to settings it was a bit confusing but I figured it out.

Great app! Good service! Great Customer Service! Delivery times have been improving but the fact of the matter is Gps is still glitchy and at times the app itself does not work properly.

Horribly touch sensitive. While scrolling through the ingredients section items get unintentionally selected. Try as I might it happens every time. My kids' large cheese pizza arrived with mushrooms and sausage on it. Cost me more and not what we wanted.

Sometimes give false messages, like when they say restaurant is closed when it isn't, and not taking delivery orders when the actually are. Please fix!!!!

I enjoy it. Gives me many places to order from and some of the places have deals. Grubhub gives free delivery at times also. The app is very easy to navigate through also.

Very disappointed in the app, there's no option to figure out what restaurant support physical cash. here I am trying to order something because I can't drive and I can't seem to find anything that will work.

The app doesn't include restaurants' operating hours, so ometimes I order food from a place only to be told it's closed, but that's probably not the app's fault - just something to be aware of. Otherwise it's a great app!!!

They do you have a lot of restaurants to choose from. My gripe, is that they tell you food will be here in a specific time and then it just changes and changes and changes. I used doordash and the time it says on the initial order is the time it shows up. It might be 50 minutes but that's the true time it'll be delivered unlike GrubHub that tells you it'll be here in 20 minutes and takes an hour and 10 minutes.

The biggest annoyence is having to write the same delivery instructions for my driver every time I order. Why can't that be saved with my address. Other than that, the app works fine. I'd rate it 4 stars, but I feel guilty for using the app. GrubHub apparently falesly charged restaurants for calls users made from the app when they didn't even order anything, and the company wasn't the slightest bit apologetic.

App does not work well. Get error message when checking out or at times won't let me select items that are available, can only select previously ordered items without being able to alter options.

Grub Hub was cool the first 2 times I used it. The 3rd time( a few nights ago) I had ordered a delivery at 850pm and the app had kept me updated but delayed the time twice which was fine up until they delayed it to 1020pm and that was it. I patiently waited up until about 1040 with no app or time update then proceeded to message Grub Hub, the guy that helped me couldn't get a response from my driver and so the order got cancelled. I waited 2 hours for food I never even got. Hire legit drivers!

Wish there was an icon to show which methods of payment restaurants accept before you get to the checkout screen. As a purely cash user I don't like having to jump through all of the hoops to then find out that restaurant doesn't accept cash orders.

Horrible the app shows a bunch of closed places at points cant sort any of them had to actually look for previous restaurants this app it garbage I'm done using an app does not need to be more difficult than calling a restaurant and this how this app feels is harder to look for something it beats the purpose of using the app

Doesnt have the full menus from the restaurants so you cant order like you would. Doesnt have any of my favorite restaurants. Partner with better restaurants or at least upload the entire menu from the ones you have.

Have only used this app. a couple of times-- but we really like it!! No problems with our orders and it arrives hot/cold like it should.

Service is great but app could use some work. I usually just see a list of MERCHANT_DATA_TESTplaceat when I try to use it.

Many times I'm glad to use it but for the most part I struggle with cancelled orders after 1 or 2 hours and it's very irritating.

Awful. Took more than 20 minutes beyond the hour they said it would take. I'm uninstalling the app now. Don't use this service unless you have limitless time to wait.

COST MORE THAN DOUBLE! Even with the $7 coupon. I expect a delivery fee. I wasn't super surprised about a service fee, but add that together with the fact that you upcharged every item on the menu between $1 and $4 is preposterous! Then you add tax to food! There is no food tax in ohio, other than soft drinks. Total rip off. If I ordered it in the restaurant it was going to be $32, thru grubhub it was over $64, AFTER the $7 discount Thank gawd the app is glitchy, so my order didn't go through

As someone who lived out of delivery range for twenty years, this app is very user-friendly. The restaurants are listed comprehensively, the payment methods are easy to pick out, and I like that they also email me or text me about my order in case I close the app. I also like that I can see where my driver is in real time. I look forward to using Grubhub more!

Maybe I need to take the time to learn more about this app,but I would have liked to add Xtra such as heavy onions, but other than that, pretty easy to use.

Awesome App! So easy to use and convenient. I wouldn't go without it.

The app sends me push notifications even though I have explicitly disabled them in the settings. I tried to report this via the "app feedback" menu option, but that crashed the app.

I think the selection on the app is pretty good, but I have now had several different instances my order being inexplicably cancelled very late into the delivery process or the order being marked as delivered way to early so I cant track the order anymore. And I have had on two occasions now an order marked as delivered and it never showed up. It really sucks to wait an hour for food and then be left having to order food again when it doesnt come.

There are times when popular menu items are not available even when they are available at the restaurant, but overall, it's a good and easy-to-use app.

Ive already uninstalled once, i was giveing the app a second chance and its not going well. Ive order 3 timea in the last 2 days. And 2 of those orders where cancelled with no explination! If it happens again i will be permanently uninstalling.

This app used to be able to give you an option for " pay with cash" .. they took away this feature.... for reasons i dont know .. stupid reasons im sure.. .. now I cant use the services... thanks

So far I have nothing but good things to say about this app. Both restaurant employees and drivers have been on point. Nothing bad so far. Great app very convenient.

The app is very well put together. Super easy to navigate, lots of great choices for restaurants, and a very helpful customer service. That being said, the free come out of nowhere and make this the most delivery service I've used. The wait times are always much longer than estimated and they have forgot it order a few times. The driver quality (or quantity) is just not there, especially for the price you pay.

Works as intended but extremely too expensive. I only use it because I get a credit with my Anex card, but even then it's too expensive. The fees are around $8 or $9 if your order is under $10 and about $6 or $7 added on to your order if you're over $10. So if you spend $6 the total order may cost you $15-$20. They charge a service fee, a $2 small order fee and then tip the driver. TOO EXPENSIVE!

I tried using this app several times within the last month around 10 or 11 at night, but even though the restaurant is open, the app would say that I needed to preorder for the next day because the restaurant is closed. I would not always trust what the app says.

So nice to brows any restaurant's menu (especially places that don't deliver on their own). See coupons. Not have to drive anywhere. Just awesome!

Great app unless you accidentally enter the wrong delivery address. I did this and immediately called the customer service line to change the delivery address but even though they said it was ok and they would change the address they did not change the address. Tried to message the driver through the app but the driver did not get the message. In the end I never got my food.

I love this app! With purchases you earn perk which can be used for discounts on restaurants. Deliveries are always fast and orders are accurate.

The app isn't that bad, but the service provided is. Orders are always late. Was giving 1 more chance but they failed this time too. Very difficult to get refunds also.

I would like the app more if all the deals possible were accessible and weren't offset by the increased prices on the menu. Many of the specials, such as those advertised on TV, are not available through the app. The prices on all the menus of the food ordering apps vary significantly from the prices on the menus at the actual locations. This, plus the taxes and fees, make ordering even a small meal an expensive one. It would be nice to get a real break and save some money.

Eh. I've had numerous unhelpful/unprofessional conversations with customer service regarding this app and their promos that only work if you've never used the app before yet I am constantly getting promos and coupons that I am "not allowed" to use. The "reward program" is not great. I only use this app because most of the restaurants in my area use it. Otherwise it would have stayed uninstalled from the last issue I had with them. 🤷‍♀️

Convenient, fast, diverse payment options. There is a bit of an overhead/premium though.

It's a good app when you actually get your food. 50/50 chance. Some times its cancels moments after order sometimes you have to cancel it after waiting 2+ hours.

Despite how lazy such an app can make you, its nice to have an app that can help deliver food when you just dont feel like leaving home. 10/10.

I love it but at night the fees be too much if your on a budget.

The only "problem" I've ever encountered, is that sometimes my food gets to my door quicker then what the app tells me and, that's really not even a bad problem.

I Believe they will be 5 stars real soon. I like the perks there new so they need to be tweaked.. other then that drivers are always polite and on time. Foods always hot and not banged up. Keep up the good work please.

Always late. Always. Typically they are about 30 minutes later than originally promised. They make it really tricky and complicated to cancel your order too. Through their confirmation email and app, there is no phone number or anything to call. Only a messaging app robot that leads you in circles. Basically a fancy sql query. I had to dig through Google searches to find a customer service number, carefully navigate the phone menu, just to cancel my order. That's shady business. Never again.

Okay, I admit it - I am impressed! One of my past favorites joined the party just (AFAIK) last week, and I was looking forward to having some of my past favorites from them. BUT when I opened up the listing, half of the dishes that I KNEW were standard fare were absent. I proceeded to inform the App developers and In One DAY they pushed through an update that fixed the problem. Good work, everyone!

The app is fine. Not as clean a layout as Doordash but it was still easy to use. I do request that the "tracking order" feature be updated. I'd like to see exactly where the driver is. I'm currently waiting on an order that said it'd be here at 6:45pm. Here it is 7:15pm and when I texted the driver he said he was still at the restaurant...so either the app is lying or our driver is...

So much better than all the others, and we have tried them all. More affordable as far as fees go, and more reliable as far as estimated delivery times go.

Worst app and company I've ever dealt with. Every app I've ever used ALWAYS asks you for your current address before sending out goods, delivery etc...but not this app. I placed an order, using this piece of CRAPP and it got sent to my old address even though I had the new one on file! Of course, there's no way to choose a default address so it chose the old one - nice. Of course I got charged $4 by the restaurant and was told, by support, to get a refund from them - that's great thx...

At first I put in the wrong address, they were very helpful and redirected my delivery to the right address and still came on time. Very happy with the service.

Very easy to use. I love the tracking for orders being delivered

Ordered through GH and when confirming the order the app said there was an error and couldnt complete it. I used a different app to order after that. Shortly after the delivery i expected showed up, so did the one from GH. When i called customer service, they put me on hold without saying anything and they eventually ended the xall without taking me off.

Generally non problematic, it is my default food delivery app. I have had some problems with them as far as the people at the "office" taking care of things I'm unhappy about. I wish they were friendlier and that they would actually give me some consideration when I call to complain about a problem. I'm spending money, I want things right.

It was my first time using this app. I liked the wide selection of restaurants in my immediate location, maybe due the fact that this app has been around longer than others. As a first time user, I received a $5.00 discount. The order process itself was smooth. Instead of 'delivery', I selected 'pick up' and was given 30-40 minutes wait time. Once I completed the online order (at 2pm), I received an email confirmation. I got to the restaurant at 2:30pm and my order was already waiting for me.

Over all I like the app. A couple of critiques are that the menu items are organized but not collapsible, so they can be over whelming, if you have a pick up order than has the "see in line" feature it doesn't always work, and when you go from the review order screen to check out the price can go up by even $5.00 at some points. But they are reliable and pretty fast!

This app is convenient ... when it works as intended. I work at a university that switched to this app from Tapingo, and I really wished that they hadn't done it. This app forces me to use the location feature on the app, which doesn't even work for campus restaurants even when I am less than 100 meters away from one unless I refresh the screen (and sometimes that doesn't even work). For the first time, I had an issue with my order using this app. The scripted answers and quickness to end chats are off-putting. And apparently, the e-mail address that I registered with has not received a single electronic receipt since the campus started using this app. Unlike Tapingo, Grubhub does not have an order history with receipts, so I've discovered the hard way that the only evidence I have are paper receipts (who keeps those nowadays?) and credit card charges. I requested that a chat transcript be sent to my e-mail AFTER I took screenshots. Guess who is still waiting for a chat transcript to reach their e-mail inbox? This app is going to be uninstalled for the second and last time. Two stars because I've survived using it with workarounds.

In one order out of 5 or so an item on the order is missing. Usually in such a case I would go to the support section of the app and describe my problem in support chat. Usually I don't get a response in several minutes, so I lock my phone and go about my business. The problem is, when i get back to it there is no way to open the same chat, only to initiate a new one, where you again need to wait for available representative. There needs to be a persistent single chat form with history.

I love it they have good deals and the prices are better the postmates!!!!! I love it Costumer service is the bestttt

Uses notifications for ads. Twice a week I get w notification begging me to use the app. I can't turn them off because they only have one notification category, so if I turn them off I wouldn't be able to get real notifications. What you're doing isn't cool, GrubHub. Looks like I'm gonna use doordash and Uber eats; they don't use notifications for ads. Shameful.

Easy to use. Love the way you can see driver location in real time for delivery

I love this app, i havent had any problems and its easy ordering food online. 😊 thank you

UI is a bit flat and sometimes hard to read but the service is really intuitive and not overpriced imo

Awesome app! Lots of great choices and free delivery. !!!

Was once my go to delivery app, but has taken a nosedive recently. The last three orders I've placed have either been extremely late (30+ minutes) or been missing items. The most recent order was running late (or so I thought), so I checked the tracking. Turns out it was delivered 10 minutes prior, but the driver felt it best to leave it on my door step without knocking or ringing the bell. Food was cold and I was missing my drink. Uninstalling and looking for a new service.
