Knowing land border wait times at the various ports of entry into the United States from both Canada and Mexico can aid the traveler in making an informed decision on when and where to cross the border. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Border Wait Times (BWT) app provides estimated wait times and open lane status 24/7 at ports of entry that process commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles, and pedestrians. The BWT app breaks down wait times at each crossing by lane type (Standard, Sentri, FAST, Ready Lane, Nexus, etc.) The BWT app is a free service provided by the Department of Homeland Security/U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

You should at least update this thing through out the day and update the closing time to what they actually are after the pandemic made them close earlier than before. This thing updates like once or twice and that what makes the time all wrong it might of been right at 12 but it's 3 now and it still say the amount from 12 ok plus some of them are already closed when it still says open come on man get your stuff together or just close this app down

Wish I could give this app a NEGATIVE 5 stars! Ridiculous inaccurate wait times, 80 minutes really meant over, lined up at 1222 am, crossed at 615 am. Never again!

This app is so inaccurate, i relied on this and it has failed me almost everytime, like tonight, it said at 8pm 30 min wait, so far from the truth its pathetic, more like an hour and a half. sometimes it says 30 min and there is no line at all, i wish it was more accurate. i wish there was one that was at least closer to within 15 minutes. i gave it the benefit of the doubt for about 3 months now but it is just way off.

Was really hoping this would be accurate. At 5pm it listed the wait time as 100 minutes. I knew that wasn't the case as soon as we tried to turn from the main street and it was coned off. Started our wait at 6pm and eventually crossed at 12:15am, 375 minutes, not 100 minutes. Think I'll invest in a Sentri card.

The wait times are not remotely close to being accurate. This application has been a total waste of time lately. Always has error messages aside from not being close to accurate time wise. Would say don't waste your time or phone storage on this app.

I am glad this app exists but thec accuracy is dissapointing. On several occasions the app would say the is a 60 minute qzdxwait yet it turns into a e.g. j5hour wait. Today, March 10th Sunday I arrived at the Otay crossing ...app says 60 minutes.... turns in to 3.5 h ours. Maybe selected crossers with their app could enter their own wait times in an efforthbn(hgggbbh to improve accuracy.

It's Great When They're Honest ... ... not so great when Border Patrol doesn't tell the truth about how long the wait is. The times for General Lanes at San Ysidro are accurate or overestimated (meaning you get over faster than the app estimates) about 75-80% of the time I've used it; it's the 20-25% of the time that the times are dramatically under-reported, causing wait times of one hour ++ longer than estimated, that really SUCKS. Still, it's a very useful tool and I'm glad it exists.

whoever updates this border crossing times, is perhaps just a random inmigration officer or border agent guessing numbers; not even close to the times. it said 90 min at 2pm and still 90 min at 3pm. I started at 2:15pm, it is now 4:15pm (120min) and I still have probably 45min to go. Thx.

No update since 2018.. multiply Calexico wait times by 3.. They're not slow, it's just too many people crossing over.. Andrade could use more lanes to keep up with the yearly increasing amount of people and vehicles crossing over.. Overall the CBP officers are doing their job and are always professional. the one star is for the app. not the agents..

Always gives incorrect wait time. Just waited 4 hours 10 minutes to cross and the app said the wait was only 60 minute wait time. Also the app said there were 9 ready lanes open when there were only 4 open. Someone needs to do a better job entering correct times
