Welcome to Discord, the best cross-platform chat app for text, video, and voice comms designed specifically for gamers. We’re used by over 250 million gamers around the world.

Create secure chat channels to play games with friends, organize squads, find teammates, LFG, and participate in gaming communities. Whether you play Battle Royale or MOBA, FPS or RPG, or if you follow streamers or esports, you can easily start a group chat for everything you and your gaming clan want to talk about.

Here’s why Discord is the best gaming chat app ever:

* Live text, voice, and video chat

Message, call, and chat with your friends in real-time for all your gaming needs: everything from coordinating play sessions for Apex Legends to discussing League of Legends game meta, and organizing CS:GO team events to meming about Hearthstone. You can even upload your own images and GIFs.

* Private and public messaging

Whether you’re making a chat server for your personal Fortnite squad or a big online Dota 2 coaching community, Discord’s got you covered. DM friends 1-on-1, group chat in a secret invite-only clan, or even start a public channel that anyone can join. You can participate in as many servers as you like!

* Instant invite links for chat servers

Inviting friends to talk is as simple as copy/pasting a link. Once your teammates open your unique server link, they’ll instantly be added to your voice or text chat group so you can immediately start playing games, organizing World of Warcraft raids, and trash talking your Rocket League buddies.

* Server tools and member roles

Discord is full of tools to help you organize your guilds however you like. Tidy up conversations by adding topic-based channels within each server, and assign roles to members if you want to give them special permissions or mod powers. You can also sort specific clan members into groups that you can message all at once with a single tag.

* Community management

Groups of all sizes thrive on Discord. In fact, we’re the preferred communication app of game developers, Reddit communities, Twitch streamers, YouTube content creators, and countless other gaming-related interest groups to post news, polls, giveaways, and discussion topics for their thousands of followers.

* Push notification controls

Want to be notified when someone DMs or tags you to play Overwatch, but not when there’s a big debate about theorycrafting in your MTG Arena group? That’s easy with our detailed server notification settings, which give you complete control over what types of messages you get alerted for.

* Cross-platform app for AFK chatting

Discord is available for both mobile and desktop so you can voice chat with your team while playing games like PUBG, Rainbow Six Siege, or Destiny 2 on your PC, and continue to meme with the whole squad on your phone when you’re out playing Pokemon Go. Have all the flexibility you need in an app that’s fun, sleek, and easy to use.

Millions of Discord servers have been created so far, with rich communities and tight-knit guilds formed around numerous games and interests. So what are you waiting for? Install Discord for free, start a chat server or join a friend’s, and make yourself at home.

Perfect for chatting with friends, organizing parties in games, and joining communities for things you love. The layout is coherent and user-friendly, the settings give plenty of options to customize the app, and there's rarely, if ever, a problem with the app. With that last part being said, I do wish that you could use Bluetooth devices on voice chats. As it works now, Bluetooth devices are ignored when connected and it simply plays the voice chat through your phone's speakers.

discord chat for gamers pc download So I'm a big fan of Discord for the computer, but the mobile app leaves a lot to be desired. If I stay in a voice channel for long enough, the audio cuts out and my own microphone stops transmitting. "Long enough" varies and can happen as soon as 12 minutes, and seeing as this is the application's main function and it tends to happen while I'm gaming and voice chat is critical, this is a rather glaring flaw. There's also no indication that voice and sound have failed when it happens.

  3. Nick Klein-avatar

discord chat for gamers app Quite a bit of frustration with this app. Using other apps often causes Discord calls to disconnect without warning or notice. Audio quality seems the degrade when calls last too long. Also had to reinstall to fix a bug. All that said, I still get a lot of use out of this app.

discord chat for gamers apk Love the app, but lately there's been some really annoying bugs. At least five times a day discord will tell me that I've gone off the internet, despite me having a stable connection on my phone. I'm unable to text people or write in group chats and all I can do to fix it is to just wait and see if it's better 10 mins later. It's honestly really frustrating because new messages don't load so I'll just suddenly be left out of an ongoing conversation.

  5. Jim Flood-avatar

discord chat for gamers download I like the features of this mobile app, it gives you lots of the same desktop features and capabilities. I haven't had much luck with the calling feature and have resorted to simply using the phone. If the voice feature improves id give it 5 starts for sure. Still, this is a very good app for being able to see streams or group activity while away from your desktop.

  6. John Erwin-avatar

discord chat for gamers pc Overall, a pretty phenomenal method for keeping up with a multitude of social groups/activities. it's a mobile Message forum. You can start a message board for several groups at a time, so you don't have to constantly switch between apps to check on different groups. Each message board can then be split into different topics or discussions, so you don't have to search through a zillion messages to find out who's bringing the salad to Thanksgiving this year. 8/10

  7. AksukiGC-avatar

discord chat for gamers mod apk The mobile app for Discord is just a disappointment. The computer app goes perfectly for me but this version is just a big ball of bugs. The top comments explain it really well, sometimes the audio from calls cuts out entirely and you can't hear anyone nor anyone can hear you. This problems has been there for quite some time already and it hasn't been fixed yet. At least I hope that you're working on it. There's also some other problems but I feel like that's the main thing that bothers me.

  8. kitty girl-avatar

discord chat for gamers apk download Its a good app! I can make friends, talk to friends, make servers, join servers, and call people. It doesnt lagg for me either. And not once have i seen a add! Im very happy with this app. I gave it 4 stars because of for some reason when i get a link to a tik tok video i can never see it, im on a mobile by the way if that matters. but overall it's a amazing app i really like it

  9. Miles 64-avatar

discord chat for gamers apkpure When 5/23/20 came arond, I've been having moments where no messages show up on my phone. I tried to log out and back in, but it keeps giving me an error message. I don't know if this is just due to my phone, a Moto Z³, but it's annoying, and makes it to where I can't even get back onto my account, or any account. If this is just due to my phone, I'm sorry for wasting Discord's developer's time. Nevermind, it was due to a VPN I'm constantly forced to use.

discord chat for gamers app download Has a habit of kicking people from the voice chat, muting everything so you have to leave and rejoin, and doesnt mute you when you press the button to mute. When i press the mute button, i expect for no one to hear my mic, but alas, sometimes the mute feature doesnt work. In addition, discord loves to just... stop working on vc. Disconnecting you while you talk to no one hearing you. Gotta love giving a 20 minute speech, and discord deciding to cut you off. Not being to hear or talk.

  11. Bard of Void-avatar

The best messaging platform out there, and you don't even need to spend a penny to access all it's amazing functions, comparable to YouTube, and the paid options are analogous to cosmetic compared to how much is available for free, but the things that are given for the paid nitro is definitely still enough to be most likely worth it (definitely more than YouTube premium is for YouTube). It's honestly to the quality where I would spend money on the nitro just to support it, if I could.

  12. lonely Ghost-avatar

As with everything there is a good and a bad. In my opinion, the good outweighs the bad. The good things are the calling, the servers, how much control you have over your server, there is also a good blocking system and a fairly decent reporting system. Connection issues are a always a thing however, and calls can be cut short. Overall, good. I enjoy it!

  13. Jesse Eloranta-avatar

The excellence of Discord brought to mobile in an easy to use yet just as stylish package. Allows you to do everything you can with the desktop version on the go and chat or talk with your friends easily and with good quality. Also includes video calls and other services. Discord is without a doubt my favorite chat and call program, with good reason. You'll be hard pressed to find a better alternative, especially for free.

Discord is a great way to connect with people who have the same interests. I'm in several art related groups and have made some good friends because I was able to access people from all over the world. This is the perfect app for those introverts out there who want to connect with friends. I've never experienced any down time and the app runs smoothly. However, the app icon looks like Mickey Mouse's pants and I can't unsee that.

This is a great way to chat with friends and coordinate video game communication and communicate online with people in general. A great feature is voice channels and chat rooms, but it is a little difficult to coordinate with a specific smaller amount of people in a smaller chat for that group of people only. Overall, Discord is a great app for online communication/gaming!

  16. Aquabunny101-avatar

I love discord, I use it every day to keep in touch with friends and even sometimes make new ones,be a part of all different sorts of communities with similar interests, hobbies, opinions and ages to me. I highly reccomend it if you're looking for any of these things, there's servers for everything on there! You don't have to play games to use it, there's communities for a lot more than just video games on there, though that's a big part of it if you're a gamer. Amazing app, would reccomend.

  17. Kiko Blu-avatar

It's amazing! It allows me to message my friends way easier, and I met alot of new people through public servers. Im online so much, and discord has basically become my home. The only problem is that I mostly use mobile, and when I'm creating custom roles, I'm only limited to certain colors. I want to have a variety of colors for the roles, so I just don't want to be stuck with those. It would be really great if you added custom role colors to mobile.

  18. Andrew Higgins-avatar

Great performance and quality. App is the single best for any kind of communication and community. Only problem is some settings that are changed (such as the new layout) that I can't revert. Another issue is that I keep constantly having to update it for the exact same thing (this may be a play store issue). Other than that, there's very few bugs and everything works smoothly.

  19. LLK-avatar

This app is so good, what with the bots and all the fun stuff. The experience of creating a new server yourself first-hand is just so interesting. This is by far the best communicating app I have ever seen. Even the new way of calling in voice channels is sensational. As a gamer, this app is very useful for when me and my friends play online games together. The quality of the call is just so good, though there are some bugs sometimes where I hear echos of my own voice. Overall, this app is great

  20. Llama :3-avatar

95% of the time, discord is an amazing app. I love being able to communicate with multiple people so easily, and the things you are able to do in servers, ranging from roles and streaming, is really fun! But sometimes there are bugs and glitches, causing it to be very slow! The audio in calls cuts in and out, streams might be delayed, messages get sent twice for some reason, etc. I still love discord, but please fix these problems!

  21. Nath G.-avatar

The app is a great alternative to the desktop version... But it's absurd that the video calls and streaming don't keep the phone's display turned on, and that the first complaint about this (and promised fix) dates back to 2017..... My phone is set to turn screen off after a few minutes and there is no way to keep it always on, sadly, due to Motorola's configs... I'd love to be able to watch stuff in bed, but sadly I'll have to leave that task to Youtube.

  22. Bailey Moyers-avatar

I dont do very many app reviews, and when I do its more often then not negative. This however is not. As far as chat clients go discord has every thing you could ever want for txtmsg and voip, along with a strong network of people building tools for almost any thing you can imagine. From moderation, video games, work, family, table top rpg coordination and even being able to play dnd over discord. There are also a lot of groups you can find to meet new, and get help with anything you think of

  23. That guy-avatar

I like it but i have some issues mostly with the search function. Firstly it's not as detailed as the desktop app, you cant filter by date (and some other options). And secondly, when you do search you have to manually scroll down the list. The side bar can't be used to help you zoom by quickly. After you do click on a search result and jump to in its channel, if go back to search results it is starts back at the top of the list, meaning you have to start manually scrolling all over again.

I use this app alot to communicate with friends, but recently I've been getting tons of bugs. One of them being every time I close the app by pressing the home button, it brings me back into the app. And another thing is that i keep getting notifications after I already see them as read, and sometimes they appear multiple times. Honestly, this app is really good, but all of these bugs are starting to get extremely annoying.

  25. Nicole Craig-avatar

Great app, but leaks information. If you talk about things only on discord, you will start getting ads on Facebook for things related to what you discussed in discord. We tested this out by texting about things we never have said anywhere else... And started getting crazy ads on our social media. If you want totally secure, this isn't for you. But for gamers, classes, groups, and even businesses this is a great way to stay in touch with clients, students, coworkers, and friends.

  26. Idris Wardak-avatar

This is the best thing that I've ever used! There's lots of reasons why I love Discord. Firstly it doesn't limit you if ALOT you don't have Nitro or Server Boost. Secondly the quality is outstanding, the interface is user friendly too! Wondering why I gave it a four star? Well that's because it still needs some fixing, there are a few small glitches but other than that this is AMAZING!

  27. smoky. qvartz-avatar

This is an amazing app to chat with people, but I gave it four stars because whenever I want to put bots on my server the ' are you a robot ' test get me kind of mad because I do believe I'm getting all of the pictures right, but I'm clearly getting something wrong and I don't know what to do cuz it's kind of getting me a little mad, it's your choice you don't have to but can you change the test a little? Thanks! And yet again, amazing app☺️

  28. Noah-avatar

The only thing I have a problem with is, whenever you delete a chat, and then make a new one with the same person it will still show everything that had happened. And you can't delete the other person's messegas, this is one of the main reasons I would prefer Insta, or just messenger. Other than that I like discord, it's fun and a nice place to meet new people, just be careful since these are still strangers. Bye!!

The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of a bug that only happens on Androids. When a Android user is in a call (voice chat in a server, 1 on 1 calls, group calls, etc.) The Android user will suddenly be muted and deafened without warning, and the ONLY way to fix it is to disconnect and reconnect. Which is only a temporary fix because this bug happens at random. And the only way to know is if someone texts you to ask where you went, or if you do the same. PLEASE fix this issue.

  30. Adam Pereyra-avatar

The app is a little confusing to use. On many occasions I've closed the app instead of going back to a previous chat. Once you get the hang of it though, it's pretty good. I do wish you could quote people's comments though. It's hard to keep a conversation going if someone moves on or if you get a reply and don't respond fast enough.

  31. Harvey H-avatar

Can't use speaker on my Pixel 4 XL due to Discord thinking I have my phone in front of a fan but I'm in a quiet room with no movement at all, but when it's taken off speaker, it's perfectly fine. Even in the settings when I go to mess with my mic sensitivity, the bar is just 100% green before I even say anything. Needs to be fixed ASAP.

  32. William Klaiss-avatar

It went from working fairly well when I first got it, to a few months ago simply vibrating for DMs and plastering the server messages across the top of my screen constantly to at this point, no notifications period. The rest of the system is fine but notifications outside of discord when used on mobile is a major part of how it's used.

  33. Dr.clorox-avatar

Edit june 16th 2020: No longer get disconnected every 40 seconds but still randomly get deafened/muted but not the normal way. Like I can't hear anyone and they can't hear me but I have no deaf/mute icon next to me. Only fix is to leave and rejoin the vc. Happens pretty offten but have gotten a bit better since my initial review. Hopefully you guys keep improving stuff.

  34. Ran1nn1nn-avatar

There are no lags, the latency is pretty low and it has an extensive Set of Features that you can make use of. Sometimes when I call people on the other side of the globe audio and video may stop randomly but since that happens only on few occasions and performance, latency and audio and video quality are really good, I guess you can confidently overlook that.

  35. Ian Gaines-avatar

Discord is awesome for communicating with friends while playing games, that's what it's known for. One of the best features is being able to create groups to organize and keep track of distinct friend groups. Recently I've also discovered that it's even more reliable than group texting, and use it for more and more general communications. Thank you Discord developer team for making such a useful and awesome app!

  36. Medro Jestro-avatar

This is a good and I use it almost every day but the recent update causes problems. It was very useful being able to see who was talking while scrolling through chat. I am not a big fan of the green voice connected bar on the top of the screen. Every so often the people in a call won't be able to hear me and I won't be able hear them which is pretty annoying. Sometimes if I try to go on a different app while in a call it will randomly turn my screen black and won't allow me to do anything.

  37. Mis1nterpr3t-avatar

This app is great, but recently when I got my new phone (Galaxy S10), when I call my friends, after a while we have to redo the call because eventually my voice starts sounding robotic to them. This seems like a device specific issue, but I'm not too sure. I have very good wifi. Also, my mobile data is very good aswell. So idk why this happens. Anyways, I hope you guys fix this. Its a bit snnoying having to hang up and redo a call because they can't hear me properly.

  38. Heavy_Logic-avatar

For gamers by gamers. Well the use of discord has since expanded to that of more than just games. I have seen this program develope over the years and with out a doubt this is the BEST communication program out there. It's free to use, but I strongly recommend supporting the developers by subscribing.

  39. Samu The Frog-avatar

It's Discord. Everything you would expect of Discord just in mobile form. Excellent audio quality, little to no latency, all the settings you'll ever need, great optimization, easy to use. As far as mobile ports go, this was done great. Plus, it's Discord, I mean come on, you know it's at least decent without even having to read this review.

  40. PinkAngel725-avatar

Recently the app stopped working with my bluetooth headset. I can hear friends talking in calls, but it will not allow me to talk. It is not a problem with the headset itself, as I've done testing with other apps and it works just fine everywhere but here. Using the phone's mic instead is impossible as it causes a severe echo for everyone else in vc. I have tried so much to fix this, from restarting, changing settings in several different ways, even unistalling and reinstalling. Please fix this.

  41. Koto-avatar

Discord has majorly changed my life. Being able to roleplay within large servers of people like me and being able to make chat groups, servers, and open direct messages with people is awesome. I spend most of my time roleplaying or speaking to friends I've made on the app now. I got it a few years back I think, maybe a year or two ago. Frequent updates which enhance your experience within the app. Even small updates you may not notice much make a big difference for everyone! Keep it up, 5 stars.

  42. Zenix Pop12-avatar

Discord is like Messenger but the Gaming and Subculture version. It's easy and fun but the only problem I have (if you count it as one) is that I don't really interact outside of my friend circle. Like I'm in a lot of Servers and I just can't find a way to enjoy myself talking or playing with them. :V

  43. Keegan Obney-avatar

It has a wonderful and intuitive interface experience that makes navigating between different servers and private messages a breeze! The ability to tune your audio settings to help optimize your set up from a pair of headphones with a mic to a full blown microphone makes voice chatting much easier as everyone can tweak to get crisp audio no matter what they use!

  44. Negede Tadesse-avatar

I love discord. I've been using it for years, I'm even a nitro member. Lately however, mobile has been a pretty bad experience. My messages take forever to send sometimes and pictures take forever to upload (no matter how small/large they are). It's pretty annoying considering this is largely a messaging platform. Please fix these issues and you'll get 5 stars from me 😁👍🏽

  45. mazin sheik-avatar

This app is one of the best apps anyone can find out there, but the reason I am giving it three stars is cuz it doesn't has a lite version for slow phones and it doesn't has a way for a user to get discord nitro without having to pay, hope developers make a system like coins etc so that people who can't afford nitro can enjoy it after using this app!

  46. Birky Boi-avatar

A frequent bug causes those in Voice Calls to suddenly lose audio and speech while still remaining in the call. It's unknown if this eventually resolves itself, but at the moment users are only able to fix it by leaving and re-entering, which is especially an issue for calls with a member limit. Fix this immediately.

  47. Kelsy Mishaud-avatar

It's give or take with the mobile version, however, I wholeheartedly enjoy the desktop version. I have noticed that there are call feature issues on both the mobile and desktop versions (calls randomly dropping, or my mic not being picked up at all). If this issue gets resolved I'll give a five star rating

Very good app! I highly recommend this app. This app has got to be one of the best apps I have. I love how I encounter little to no bugs at all! I've been using this app for about 2 years, but please fix the new discord look when chatting in channels. I do not like it at all, please do something about it. I'm pretty sure there is some people who like the new look, but at least make an option to change it back to original. I'm still keeping this at 5 stars because it's very good.

  49. Delicate_Rxses-avatar

amazing app! great way to talk to people while gaming! you can ask froends for their username and # (4-digit number). also, in certain groups, you can have custom emojis! if you make a group you can make your own emoji! have a great time using the app, but never share personal information. have a good day!

I have alternate accounts and then my original account. I log out of them a lot , so I tried logging into my original account today and it said "new login location detected. Try again" I've had this problem for several accounts and I have no idea how to fix it. Help! Other than that, a great app. EDIT: Apparently the old account I tried to login to got deleted, but the new account I had to uninstall and reinstall discord for.

After a year or so of use, I can say that Discord can be good, but way too often, everyone loses voice feed and we all have to drop and rejoin, sometimes multiple times, sometimes multiple occasions in one hour-long call. I don't have any of those problems with the Mac app (OS X, not iOS), only the Android version.

  52. Steveo Ricardo-avatar

Its alright! Its just that the newer layout is very had to go through! (at least to me) Especially when youre in a server vc (voice chat) and someone is streaming.. you'll have to tap mutiple things in order to see the stream otherwise it wont show. Other than that its a good app and id recommend it to anyone!

I use this app to talk with my friends almost every day. The same functions on the app are just about the same as the PC; however, I have been running into issues with having to redownload the app whenever notifications don't come through. Doesn't matter if I fix the notifications on my phone it still doesn't work. Overall it's still a great app and I enjoy using it :)

Excellent update! there is a serious bug that existed for the last few months where your RTC disconnects but you are still in the call on both sides yet you cannot hear them discconecting from the call and reconencting is the only way to fix it also the timer glitches all the time. Wish you could see blocked accounts and that coding block colour codes were see able on mobile. Great gaming app! 4/5

  55. Juston Dement-avatar

It's average and offers anything new. It's an alright app and I do use it, but while I use it, it poses its problems. A 2,000 word limit is kinda hard for me, considering I use this app to write with friends because Facebook likes to nuke accounts, and there's the occasional not notifying me when I get a message. The not notifying me is the one that really bugs me. Or saying there's a message but I have to close the app completely before I can see it. It needs an update

  56. missloli Toli-avatar

The app is okay, I haven't used it in a while so, when I went to download the app again and tried to get into my account I had to verify when I did It said "New location detected" so I went to reset my password and tried again but it said the same thing, so, I tried to rest my password again and it wouldn't work. So, now I'm lost and need help, thank you for reading.

It's great when it works but the past week(s) i don't get notified at all when someone messages me or calls me. Friend has the same issue. No sound on the phone call when it rings and no nothing notification wise. So we never know if the other is trying to reach us, very frustrating! We now have to "call-call" each other on our phones to tell the other we're trying to reach them on the discord. This is both the Discord app and the pc client. Please fix this FAST? It's really bad!

Great app that I use for just about anything having to do with gaming. Not only that, I also use it for "Friendcords". Discord just dies randomly, albeit rarely. Mostly a voice chat and screenshare problem. Still way too much CPU usage though, I don't know if that'll ever go away. Not perfect but pretty damn close.

Been using discord for literally years. Before discord, I was hoping between Dolby Axon, TS3, skype, vent and mumble, but that all changed when the discord nation attacked. Lol. It's my go-to VOIP now. Its changed a bunch over the years, but definitely always had this polished feel to it. With all the positive changes they've made/added, this little program beats out the competition, in my opinion at least. Might not be for everyone, but it's perfect for me. :)

Discord is by far the best app of it's kind that I've ever used. File sharing, voice and video, text chat, your own private server of you want it, and all for free? It's well worth throwing the devs a few bucks for the Nitro upgrade, but even if you don't it's still the current king of communication. I'd give it more stars if I could.

  61. Jonathan Gray-avatar

Excellent mobile version of a much loved app. Most features are available to use. My only personal issue is sometimes the audio can go a little strange after swapping to Bluetooth and back. But I can't really complain about it, it doesn't always happen. All in all it does pretty much everything you need from the desktop version on the mobile platform.

  62. John-avatar

I love discord, I've used the app for more than 2 years, and im a proud nitro user. However, this new update isn't that good in terms of visuals. This new UI update is cluttered, not nice to look at, and overall a downgrade. The previous UI was better, it's a shame I have to give my favorite app 3 stars because of this... is there any way to make it look like the old UI, by the way?

  63. Kaylee-avatar

I love using discord. It's a great way to keep in touch with friends. The only thing I have had a problem with recently is that embed messages do not appear on screen. On my phone, it doesn't show. On my computer, it doesn't show. I'm not quite sure what the problem actually is, but it may just have something to do with the bots that are in the server.

  64. A Google user-avatar

I hate the new layout on the lastest upgrade, it's cluttered, inconvenient, hard to look at and annoying. How can I downgrade to a previous version? I loved the app but its painful to look at it now. I'm screaming "LOOK AT HOW THEY MASACRED MY BOY". I used it everyday but I guess I'm avoiding the mobile app until this gets looked upon. I just can't handle the mess it is now.

  65. Ashekins-avatar

Pretty dang good, I'm loving discord more and more with every update. Only 2 issue I have is when I am in a call, it won't DC / or show I dced but no one can hear me and everything is dead silent. I usually just have to reconnect. Other issue is streams are incredibly quite. Otherwise great! Y'all keep up the amazing work!

I love using Discord, it's by far the best app for talking to your friends. But because of small annoyances (which there are a lot of) I have to give it 3 stars because they're way too damn annoying. I.e the app is telling me I'm changing my name too fast even though I waited over 20 minutes to change it, I hope the mods can fix this sooner or later. Other than that, I highly recommend it!

  67. User DJ-avatar

It's Discord. This is intended to supplement the desktop version. If you think there's a better alternative to Discord for direct messaging, group messaging, group voice, video, and screen-share calling, server messaging, and server voice chatting on desktop then you're wrong. The mobile app could be a little bit better, though. Tries to mimic the desktop version a bit much.

For 1 years ago, I've used my old phone and installed this app, when i open this app and logged in... Then it startes very slowest loading and very lag to typing, like doubled word when lagging typing, it's been long time to use Discord in old phone... Then i got new phone from 19th June, i logged in and then... It goes faster loading, i was so happy on new phone for using Discord.

  69. Bryce Corbett-avatar

Accidentally updated my app, not sure when they came out with these UI changes.. but they make the app worse. "If it ain't broke.." The UI WAS fine. Now, if a friend is streaming, it cuts the sides of the video off unless you're in portrait mode. They removed "Use speaker," WHY? It also added in a gigantic ugly bar at the top of chat that you have to click to get into the call specifics. I get "unexpected error" messages that I can't delete in chat. I just want to revert to the old version...

This app is awesome for quarentine and just chatting, although you might want to rethink the mobile If you want a good sound. So unless you can afford a three hundred dollar headset to plug into the phone (most of us can't), don't expect good sound. But overall a great app!

This might just be one of my favorite apps. The only problem I have with this app is that when I am streaming my screen and exit the screen, it won't actually show my screen. It will be just a black screen for the person watching the stream. This is easily fixed my restarting my PC, but it is still slightly annoying because it takes a little while for my PC to restart haha. Other than that one small thing, I think this app is close to perfect!

  72. Jozef Bača-avatar

Great app for multiplier communication. You can have multiple rooms for chat, multiple rooms for voice and so on. You can have a roles and adjust rights to each channel/room. You can chat directly with one person. You can easily invite new member. It's free and powerful app. I use it as a main communication channel for our dedicated server.

  73. Moras Edmor-avatar

Great app and all been using it for 3 years and the constant improvement is really nice to see, with that said the channel and members list drawers open way too easily at the slightest swipe and it gets annoying and sometimes the custom status doesn't show on my profile when I re-open the app after a bit, even though my status is online and I'm connected. Anyway, didn't mean to make it seem like just a list of complaints, I really do enjoy this app, and want to see it grow, keep up the good work

  74. Amber England-avatar

Being a beta tester for Discord when it first came into being, the app has come a long, long way from where it started years ago. I never thought it would be used on the phone, let alone be a big part in this pandemic going on but this app is the greatest. I won't use anything else when it comes to an instant message system.

Normally, I have no problems with this on my phone, but this is the 2nd time I had to uninstall and re-install in a matter of months after a reboot of my cell. No clue on what's the cause, but Discord will have an issue where its eternally connecting to discord groups or a mass amount of friend icons and names are blanked out. No amount of logging out, clearing it out of the background or what have you fixes it. It only sorts itself out AFTER I reinstall. Is it possible to look into the matter?

  76. Mestica Papna-avatar

It provides an easy way to connect and discuss with my fellow team mates on a project, all the topics that we care to speak about. It has voice calls and chat access features that are simple and friendly to use. Overall a great app and keep up the nice work Discord Development Team!

Google Chrome and app. When I try to use at Opera GX it asks me claim the account!!! If there's any solutions I would like to hear from you! Overall, the app experience is really great!!! Thank you so much for a such a great app!

  78. Chris Regan-avatar

The app has everything the PC program does. Discord is a great service, but I'm having an issue. My calls go through and my friends say it sounds like I'm in a hurricane. When I open a call I have to switch from "speaker" to "phone" to stop this. Then they say it's like listening to me on mute. I have a Google Pixel 4xl and don't have any issues with my microphone on cellular calls. I've tried messing with the options and haven't found a solid fix.

it's really really well done but the app itself is causing my phone to slowly get warm and a couple updates ago it never did such a thing.I was wondering if the development team could work on making sure that it's not going to cause certain devices to start overheating while using discord. If anyone else is having this issue and actually knows what it's caused by please tell me...

  80. Park Nayeon-avatar

I really love it... It's a cool app and can be used for a lot! I'm not sure why it won't let me change my profile after I JUST changed it if I maybe didn't like it or it wasn't appropriate. And sometimes my friends don't pop up when I search the name and tag so I don't know what else I would have to put. Other than those problems its a really good app and I suggest using it:)

Video calls are problematic. We have to keep using Skype instead. Problems: No access to webcam settings (brightness...) Poor picture quality, in particular with moving subject Video randomly stops on one side without informing participants No gallery: Discord desperately needs a media gallery like we can find on WhatsApp (don't copy Skype and their lousy time limited gallery)

I will still use Discord because it's the only way I can talk to my friends, but if i try to switch to a certain chat, or go to my DMs, it crashes and i have to uninstall/reinstall to get back to a usable chat. Please fix this if possible because I know another friend on Discord who has the same problem.

i really like discord as a service but your app is .. not really great.. on short, there are a lot of problems that I encounter on a usual basis, really slow connection time / not connecting at all, even though my internet speed is alright, but this is forgettable, the real issue that I have is with my earbuds, the sound is very distorted and impossible to understand, often times audible only in the left earbud and mic not functional at all, and I encounter these problems only in your app

  85. Clay Marentis-avatar

Never once had a bad experience with this app/program. Perfect for connecting while gaming or other activities. My wife is deep in the nerd life, role playing Harry Potter characters with her friends all over the world. Simple, easy to use, and the little jokes the developers toss in make my day.

  86. Aisyah Nabilah-avatar

I enjoy using this apps.It helps me to communicate with people around the world without letting them having my number. But sometimes, there is a problem where i can't really hear the voice and when there are lots of people joining the voice call,It is hard kinda hard to hear all of their voice.

One of the very best social gaming experiences out there. Join a group or start a group and start adding people that play the same games as you. Then you are all set to game with friends every day and have the best laughs along the way. Platform is ridiculously flexible with options: text, voice and video chat, privately, in small groups, or in large groups. Functions as a blog site, how to guides, group post site, Meme post site, special topic discussions, guild platform.... anything you need.

  88. Rithik Kumar-avatar

This app is one of the, if not, the best app for communication. The voice quality is crystal clear, and server group calls are awesome. Unlike whatsapp, group calls don't sound like a gazillion people standing in front of jet engines. I think this is reason enough to use this app over whatsapp/Instagram. Oh, and you can use this on either pc or phone for calls, unlike whatsapp or insta.

  89. Katy Themm-avatar

Great app for communication. You can make your own server in 2 seconds to chat with your friends. You can join an existing community related to your favorite game or topic. I love adding custom emojis to your servers and customize them. Audio calls are very clear. Live streaming your screen is also a great feature. All around I highly recommend it

Its okay but alot of times in the middle of chat everyones voices get muted or one person becomes mute and have to back out of the chat and go back in and its not very friendly with bluetooth either ive had to reconnect my bluetooth headset and fiddle around with the discord settings mutiple times just to get it to work and have someone hear me or the other way around little more than half the time it works the other half it doesnt.

  91. Shine-avatar

Have used it since 2016, its always been amazing and even if there's been any issues its always fixed in the next update. Discord really listens to their customers and I think they actually hire their users too; to make sure its just right for what everyone could possibly need and want. But, yeah its really good, I love it.

Amazing app! I like this app it's so much fun. However I have had some trouble with my latest experience. I spent 2 hours drawing pictures for custom emojis. Then it keeps on saying that the file was above 256kb. I was sad because I spent 2 hours drawing those custom emojis for NOTHING! And another thing is that other servers get to have custom emojis. They look like they would take up 1mb! Why do I not get to upload custom emojis while other servers can? Can you fix this?

It is great to find people who wants to play a game it is just imposible to play a game and not going to discord server, competitive information if you're looking for competition info and team up with some players. Discord is an amazing communication app for mostly gamers. In discord there are loads of things you can do. Mainly you can add friends with their name and tag. With friends you can send images, talk, call, open your camera or show what you are doing on your device. Screenshare is only available for computers or laptops. Another thing you can do is join your favourite game server or just chat servers. You can make your own server or join a server. In servers there are more than just 2 people. Some servers such as MINECRAFT have over 500k people. If the server is an official game server or a discord partner it will have announcement channels which you can follow to get updates! Servers have loads of channels to see even voice channels. In voice channels you do not only talk but even stream. Discord has a great community and I suggest you get it if you need a new communication app.

Ive been using discord mobile for about 5 years now. I always used to lobe the app but it feels like with every update it became more unsusable. No i can get over the new UI even thos its really distracting and sometimes just weird but there has been on glitch that always grinded my gears when i was chatting in servers. Since i am in about 20 servers so i have a lot of emotes and it happens litterally 6 times a day that when i want to open the emote tab discord just freezes and crashes.

As an IRC replacement discord is great. When it comes to voice chat I have had a lot of issues with the Android version. It will randomly drop the mic or stop playing others messages. This is all on a pretty high end Google pixel 3 phone. Overall it's good but still has room for improvement.

I love this app and have so many friends on their I never once thought about deleting it. But recently I have updated the app and I don't really like the way it looks.. The text are so close up to my face and all the new details are weird. For example in a two person DM you weren't able to swipe to the side to see who was there but with the new update it does and I don't really like it. Again, I love this app and don't wanna delete it but I would like the old style back.

  100. JP Taxa-avatar

I use it to play CoD Mobile. It works fine, until it doesn't. Often it's a nuisance to accept a call while in play, the audio reverts back to smartphone speaker instead of headphones, and almost every time I have to restart the game to "match up" the call with the game. But what annoyed me the most is loosing coms for no reason (but still shows green on call) mid game, which is absolutely bad. This obviously is a bug since I'm not doing anything to the app at that moment. 3* Needs work.
