Tired of being tracked online? We can help. At DuckDuckGo, we believe online privacy should be simple.
DuckDuckGo Privacy Browser has the speed you need, the browsing features you expect (like tabs & bookmarks), and comes packed with best-in-class privacy essentials:
 — clear all your tabs and browsing data with one tap.
 — automatically block hidden third-party trackers we can find lurking on websites you visit, which stops the companies behind those trackers from collecting and selling your data.
 — our private search engine comes built-in so you can search the Internet without being tracked.
 — force sites to use an encrypted (HTTPS) connection where available, protecting your data from prying eyes, like from unwanted snoopers and Internet service providers.
 — each site you visit gets a Privacy Grade (A-F) so you can see how protected you are at a glance, and you can even dig into the details to see who we caught trying to track you.
 — built into the browser, Global Privacy Control (GPC) intends to help you express your legal opt-out rights automatically. This will tell websites not to sell or share your personal information under future legal frameworks (e.g., CCPA, GDPR) in various states or countries.

I really like the "privacy" reports that tell me what's been blocked. In an age where who you are is up for sale for as little as $14 (yes, the profile Google and Facebook have on you, your likes, your favorite places to visit, everything that makes you who you are is worth ~$14), privacy is a must and this is a great browser for that. Combine with Blockads (vpn) and it's great.

It got hacked! Messages and most of the time gibberish would be left on the search bar(I think that's the right name for it). Developers please take notice. I've genuinely liked the app. Have used duckduckgo since I got my first computer, with it being installed for privacy sake. Because of a hacker's intrusion, I've had too remove it until the issue is resolved.

It performs as described in the app info. Loading of web pages is fast and the security features are outstanding. The devs did a phenomenal job and it's all in the background, which is my reason for the 5 stars. I get to focus on browsing while the browser prompt me when my security is at stake. 100 for the team that put this app into the apposphere.

So far it does its job well as a browser. But don't be mistaken. This is a very basic stripped down version of a browser. Almost no customization at all. Can be hard and clunky to navigate at first. Very little in the way of settings. Can't even set a home page. What kind of browser doesn't even have a home page? I'm better off paying a small fee for a VPN and using a regular browser. For the length of time it's been on the market it's disappointing.

I only have had this a short time, but i like the features, and it is very fast. So far, i am very happy with it. Update: I still love this app, but have experienced a glitch which may be my cheap phone or internet. The app just becomes totally unresponsive at times, and I have to uninstall and re-download it. But I'm still using it and glad to have it. Another update. The glitch is gone, and I have this app now on all my devices. It shows me results that other search engines screen out.

June '21, LG:G8ThinQ; Browser Comparison: DDG seems to be everything it advertises. I usually use Firefox, but have had issues over the past year. When a friend said that he used this app, it was an easy change over for me (unlike many newer tech changes). The hardest browser I ever had issues with - unironically - Chrome. It used to be just as simple (UI/base settings) as DDG. No bloat. No insane settings. No spying. Just searching - not everyone is a 'terrorist', Google.

I like that it lets me know when it's blocking trackers, or at least notifies me when I'm on a site that it can't fully block. Privacy is important and duck duck go has come a long way. In the past I liked the concept but always defaulted to Google as I thought it would provide more reliable search results, but now the duck duck go app is a perfectly good replacement 😎

Whenever I use a different browser and have to 'manage' cookies just to read a page without turning over excessive information - that no one would ever dream of sharing in a non-virtual setting - to rapacious commercial entities, I am reminded of the scale of the invasion of privacy. Even for small organisations, using standard web tools for lack of their own resources, hundreds of cookies are listed. We'll done DuckDuckGo for taking both a principled and a practical stand against this.

I like the burn feature. Also, search results seem to be slightly more relevant. I hear though that it is still connected to Google. Plus, searching on a Android I am sure Google will find a way to collect some information off the device even if I use strict settings on the phone or Google account. Thank you.
