Privacy, simplified.

At DuckDuckGo, we believe the Internet shouldn't feel so creepy and having the privacy you deserve online should be as simple as closing the blinds.

We provide the privacy essentials you need to seamlessly take control of your personal information as you search and browse the web, no matter where the Internet takes you:
• Escape Advertising Tracker Networks — Our Privacy Protection will block all the hidden third-party trackers we can find, exposing the major advertising networks tracking you over time, so that you can track who's trying to track you.
• Increase Encryption Protection — We force sites to use an encrypted connection where available, protecting your data from prying eyes, like Internet Service Providers.
• Search Privately — You share your most personal information with your search engine, like your financial, medical, and political questions. What you search for is your own business, which is why DuckDuckGo search doesn't track you. Ever.
• Decode Privacy Policies — We’ve partnered with Terms of Service Didn't Read to include their scores and labels of website terms of service and privacy policies, where available.

As you search and browse, DuckDuckGo shows you a Privacy Grade rating when you visit a website (A-F). This rating lets you see how protected you are at a glance, dig into the details to see who we caught trying to track you, and learn how we enhanced the underlying site's privacy measures. The Privacy Grade is scored automatically based on the prevalence of hidden tracker networks, encryption availability, and website privacy practices.

Our app provides standard browsing functionality including tabs, bookmarks, and autocomplete. In addition to strong Privacy Protection as described above, we also packed in some extra privacy features into the browser itself:
• Fire Button — Clear all your tabs and data with one tap.

Too many people believe you simply can’t expect privacy on the Internet. We're fighting to change that, and have made it our mission to set a new standard of trust online. Install DuckDuckGo and take back your privacy!

Reviews From google play store

You can visit ( BrowserGood. Com ) to install the best browser. It's adblock and fast. Thank! In a day when privacy is gone, I like to know that there is some things that do not get tracked. I find your site as effective and as easy to use as Google, MSN, Spider, Metacrawler, Digpile or Bing, or any of the other search engines. Thank you for creating this website

I like the privacy factor quite a lot. However, I do find that some searches don't quite measure up to the relevance and ease of Google. The most obvious feature would be the lack of images on regular search--which means to confirm that my search term is correct, I often have to go into the images page as well first, then back to the regular search.

I finnaly have that feeling when I'm not being watched all the time, I feel comfortable now. It's just cool to actually have your own privacy, on a device (which is literally impossible), but now it is, since the update, it's been a bit more laggy, and once a week it will shut down, which is annoying, but it's fine with me, it's still a great app. Oh! One more question, do you stalk us? Instead of google?

I'm very happy to use this app , which is good for privacy and to be aware and understand the whole system of data acquisition from the users and storing. Apart from that, the added benefit is that it will block popups and adds if one can't have an adblocker subscription.😅 Also, search speed drops down by few seconds to which we as customers should increase, to non linearly support the people working on "search engine" features.

Love the privacy, but hate all the resulting cookie warnings. It doesn't find as much as Google but I prefer DDG for 95% of my searches. Seems a little slower than Google, but I am old enough to remember a time in my life when time wasn't measured by the nanosecond, so it's not a deal breaker. DDG is a sturdy and functional search tool.

Great, It feels good not being stalked by Google as much even though I still work off it sometimes. Google got so bad there I just had to stop using it. Anyway this app is cool and even if it was tracking you at least it does it without broadcasting it to you of every second of every minute of every hour of every.... see where I am going!!! Neat app and look forward to slight improvements in the future.

really nice, still: Some sites are not well configured, size and place of things for example. When you click to "open in a new tab" it shouldnt go to that tab, it should just open. The sound of this browser is really low, . Last but not least it should have an incognito mode wich closes the tabs when you leave and erases the data and a normal mode wich dosent (i know that you can change that on the settings, but there is eighter keep erasing or not erase at all)

Almost a perfect browser. A few things are still missing. 1. Can not refresh/reload the page when I pull down the screen. So I have to reach up to the address bar or to the 3 dots on the top right corner and do it manually. In a big phone this is not comfortable at all. 2. No option to manually turn on and off to block the trackers and the ads. 3. The cloud save does not sync my bookmarks 4. No fingerprint lock Hopefully you guys fix these in the near future. Thx

In a day when privacy is gone, I like to know that there is some things that do not get tracked. I find your site as effective and as easy to use as Google, MSN, Spider, Metacrawler, Digpile or Bing, or any of the other search engines. Thank you for creating this website. And thank you for thid service.

It does what's it meant to do and I love not having my data tracked. It's also pretty fast and efficient, so no issues there. However, I did notice that most of the time, the theme would often revert to its default state without me doing so. It can be a tad annoying for this to happen constantly, so if the devs could kindly check it out make it so that the theme (and other settings) don't revert to the default by its self, then that would be very nice. Overall, a great browser.

This app is a must for those desiring a browser/search engine that DOESN'T pretend it NEEDS to see & hear EVERYTHING, track you, access data the body sensors pick up etc etc. Not sure if said sensors log instances of flatulence, or if that's the microphone's duty. Regardless, such, um, special times are PRIVATE EVENTS that some of us would only EVER willingly & happily share with certain friends, or when you're in an elevator full of people you're not fond of. Time to De-Google, people. :)

I like this app, finds things quickly, no crashing problems so far. Just updated on an old tablet so I'll edit if anything changes. 28/9/19, now I'm having problems, freezing on a loading page. 25/11/19 it worked for a while but now before and after update it freezes upon loading, cleared cache, no go. Going to reinstall, update review soon.

I like the fact that Google is not harvesting my data, and personalizing my searches as they see fit. I noticed immediately that many search results can be quite different than my experiences with Google, and that many things are available through DuckDuckGo that, for whatever reason, are not available through Google. I prefer uncensored and unfiltered information, and DuckDuckgo provides this experience much better than Google in my humble opinion. Thank you DuckDuckGo. Keep up the good work.

This app is great. I downloaded it because I was frustrated with other popular search engines because I couldn't find the information I needed. Other search engines prioritize less than reliable sources and fail to also include other sources from reputable websites. They are also littered with tons of targeted ads and click bait. It became so frustrating just to find an answer for a simple inquiry that wasn't from the same not so reliable website. With this app I can find the info I need!

I used to use Google years ago, but then I learned that they collected my personal data. I searched for a more private search. Once I discovered DuckDuckGo and read about their policies I was delighted, but a bit skeptical. It has been years now that I have been exclusively using this search engine for both my PC and cell phone. I recommend it very highly.

This is a cool, solid app, which comes with most of the features, that you might have come to expect in an internet browser. Now, what makes this app different from the rest, is its data transparency feature, which walks you through the differing degree of data accumulation, by each given website. This feature not only makes you more aware of how and where your data is being gathered, but it also warns you of the industry practices, that have until now remained relatively secret.

Faster & Safer Than Google. I was tired of Google knowing every move I made, so I switched from Google to DuckDuckGo and my searches are faster, and I don't get oddly specific advertisements for businesses I've been near once 8 years ago. I definitely like this much better than other browsers and search engines! It also gives you the ability to clear your data every time you exit the app.

I've been using DuckDuckGo , for many years and I use this app for all of my searches because it keeps my Information private. You can search for anything, it doesn't matter what the subject is. It doesn't give up any information , to anyone or anything. This search engine, doesn't forward Any information to big brother about you or your phone and your PC's. Search engine is so private that it's the only search engine that's compatible with Tor. I fully recommend this app( Browser) to everyone !

Search is much easier instead of getting all the ads first like Google has. When I search for something, it actually comes up with this app. Google shows everything out there that has nothing to do with what my search was. Only issue is that it's a fraction slower. The trade-off is that the search comes up exactly as I want.

I've tried using it in the search bar of my Android 'phone, with the 'Lawnchair' launcher. It's very 'clunky' and slow. You enter something in the search bar. It then goes to a black results screen. You then select from the black results screen, which takes you to yet another (white) screen where you again make the selection before finally going to the site you want! I've stopped using it.

Hey Duckduckgo team, the only reason to use this browser was to avoid google tracking every little thing now and then. So far, the browser does a pretty decent job. So thanks for that. The only issue was that Flash was not supported by Duckduckgo as some sites use flash to display their content. Hence the 4 stars.

Really enjoying this search engine. I'm getting the results I want first time every time, certainly not missing their competition. The filtering is effective and it is so user friendly. It's definitely improved since I first used it years ago and I will stay with it now. Just a shame my phone and school system uses a default search engine but this app is great as an alternative.

I like the privacy of this app so much, and I thank you for the alternative to Google. That said, some of the features of Google are sorely missed. For instance, when I do a measurement conversion, Google just gives me the answer, rather than sending me to a conversion website. There are other similar features there that I would find most welcome on DuckDuckGo.

Recent updates have been unhelpful, but the latest update is just plain awful - open tabs are now all side by side and many go dark if you haven't opened them in a while, and you can't read what the tab is because it's now half the width of what it was originally - so you have to reload Every. Damn. Page. repeatedly to see what you had open. This is ridiculously annoying as I always have multiple tabs open and hop between them. I'm currently looking into the Brave Browser.

DuckDuckGo for the phone browser sucks completely since you can't use voice to chat on the initial search page. Only after you type something in by hand, does it let you have a normal search page that'll use voice to chat. Plus it is extraordinary really slow for loading anything! Would be nice if DuckDuckGo on the phone worked like it did on a computer.

If it does what it says it is awesome. I do notice how fast my browsing is using this instead of samsung internet browser. I do appreciate this app from keeping people and agencirs invading my privacy. I CANNOT believe google and others invade my privacy. They have no right selling my info or shoving advertisements in my face. I am the type that never had newspapers nor watched commercials. I appreciate duckduck for what they do. Thanks guys!!

Since hearing about DuckDuckGo, seeing numerous videos and reading a load of articles regarding it. I have to say I'm impressed. I definitely never considered my privacy that much until finding this. Keep up the great work and stick with your guns. As for the experience, it's simple to use, and unlike other search engines, I'm finding a lot more useful information then I did before. Would definitely recommend this to everyone I know.

Have browser installed on all my devices. Both Android and Apple. When one of my devices needed work, tech recommended it for browsing. I have tried others but they were too glitchy. Ads don't bother me. I understand the cost. So far, 5 stars is the going rate for me.

DuckDuckGO search engine and app are practical and easy to use, and very customizable ! Personnaly I like the instant responses from stackoverflow the most (being a dev myself). it is quite impressive that the results are fairly neutral and not biased on anything (ex: browsing history). I hope DuckDuckGo gets more success, and be able to spread more awarness about privacy ! DuckDuckGo dev_team you are Amazing 😁👍 !

5 stars for what you do for users' privacy, but one star for not putting in crash detection code. If a particular site in one tab causes the app to hang and I have to kill the app, having the app *always*, *automatically-with-no-way-to-opt-out* reload all the sites and tabs from the last run *including the problematic site* when I try to start the browser again does not work! So pls: be smart! In response to DDG's question: there is no particular site. After opening a few tabs, it just hangs.

It's pretty good except for the fact that it's missing certain features Pros: 1. Lightweight and fast 2. Pages load faster and negligible lag after loading (my phone is low end most of the browsers lags in my phone) Cons: 1. No download manager 2. Desktop mode won't work properly 3. In task view, all the contents of browser are visible. Not good for a privacy browser

I like the app and the idea that it represents. The main draw back is also it's claim to fame "it's not Google" while I love this fact it also wastes my time with errelavent search results. Like dinners from the other side of the country. While the Google bubble is truly madening at least 95%of my results are relevant. But that is just my early frustrations I'm sure. One other thing is it's load time. Being attached too chrome I'd think that it would be more snappy not laggy. Only had 3 days so!

The biggest issue with this browser is its lack of features. It has the scantest settings menu of any browser I've ever seen, and that detracts immensely from my browsing experience. There are a lot of features I've come to depend on for mobile browsing (especially a procedural dark mode for web pages) that I don't get out of DDG's browser. I'll stick to their search engine for now.

I like that there's no history. Sometimes the search results aren't as abundant as Chrome. After a recent update the tabs are in a grid format with no option to switch back to the previous scrolling page. I don't like the grid format and neither does anyone else I've talked to that users this browser. After reading other reviews I'm questioning if this in fact as private as they claim. Another thing I noticed is not once has the dev responded to anyone's comments. Not so good

I haven't used the app enough compared to Google; however, just now, one of the first interactions and suggestions of duckduckgo was to: close and clear my apps after 60 min w/o interaction. I'm pretty happy to see this offer. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll work through your app more often. I haven't updated the app yet. Probably wont based on other comments.

Love the privacy rating of Web pages. I can't find a Home tab. To get a new page, Menu is one step more than I'm used to. I've only used this app about 3 days. It's as slow as Google so it's probably my phone. It's got a clean looking search, uncluttered by ads. I will recommend to my friends.

Awesome app! I didn't realize just how many trackers were embedded in sites , but I've only had DuckDuckGo installed for about three days and it's already blocked 283 tracker ads! Also, I tried a comparison search with DuckDuckGo and Google, and it delivered the same first page results. Very happy with this app.

An excellent browser from the awesome duckduckgo team, centered around privacy. It's fast, reliable, includes the duckduckgo privacy essentials extension baked into the app. Very happy with it as my default browser. I've been using Firefox focus for a while now, which I also highly rate. I've switched to duckduckgo to give it a try and it doesn't disappoint

Search results have greatly improved! Is there any way to incorporate voice to text without compromising user privacy? Would really like to have voice to text. Biggest recommendation is to move the search box and controls to the bottom of the screen for ease of use, like Yandex browser. After viewing an image, selecting back arrow will often exit you from that search. Major pain.

I'm not good with this privacy stuff, I care about it but hardly know what I'm doing. DDG is a really big help with starting out. Started using it because I was real uncomfortable with how often I was seeing targeted ads, and this is a great first step for anyone wanting to protect their info. DDG is wonderful as both a search engine and a simple privacy tool. You don't need to know anything about privacy to start protecting yourself, and DDG helps you start protecting the most important basics.

Great app. The only negative is that most of the findings are from the USA and I'm from the UK so not sure if I have to do something with location. However, it is reassuring to know that my research are not stored somewhere unlike Google and Facebook saved every details from you.

I love the way you provide search results, exactly based on the search term. I was using google for long time for browsing, when i search somthing first thing they show is an ad and they show search result that do not represent my search term.I have a suggestion for you use a little bit bolder fonts and give the UI modern look.

What bugs me; this is google chrome/chromium/wtfever, only modified/rebranded. the search results are also from google, so actually your still being tracked, only indirectly. I've tried using it (to get away from google), but lots of websites cause this app to crash. The crash sucks because u have to reinstall the app to make it work again. Next time I just won't reinstall it.

Everything is great until you have to use the mic too speak for something to post. It shuts down before completed. It will only allow one sentence at a time. With Google I could speak a large paragraph and Google would remember it and later post where ever u want it. Another problem is if for instance you have completed this whole paragraph and later needed to add a word by pasteing into the middle of the sentence, this app will erase every word typed before and only keep the newly pasted word (using duck duck go). Which is fustation typing to retype a whole paragraph all over again. Also some of the menu items such as downloading is hard to find and operate. In this sense this is not user friendly. I miss being able to use this app to save into another app such as saving a recipe into notepad. It does not inter work with other apps. For these reasons I am uninstalling this browser.

Google's creepy - mention something vocally near electronics, see an ad for it. Don't get that with DDG. Better reaults with DDG; Google seems to censor results it doesn't agree with. 'Net was made for research & communication; to intentionally cripple it should be a felony. Loosely related, what do ducks do? How's that relevant [to today]? First row of US keyboard? Eyes open; truth's out there. DDG makes it easy to find; don't lose sleep.

I worked for CNET Networks for 5 years. I have been using DuckDuckGo for about 7 days. I must say i was really surprised immediately, at how fast & efficient this isp is - from opening existing apps, to doing random searches. I am most pleased with the privacy settings. I will NOT go back to any other isp app. I have set this as my default browser. Thank you, DuckDuckGo.

Fast searches and overall loving this browser. After using DuckDuckGo, I stopped receiving targeted ads on social media. Super annoying before on Chrome where I would mention in a chat I was thirsty, I would get ads from Starbucks, Tim Hortons, Soda Stream, etc. Not with this browser. Three thumbs up!

You should visit ( BrowserGood. Com ) to install the browser app. It's adblock and very fast! DuckGo! The new tab system, is terrible, I can no longer quickly find things. Tabs are in little grid boxes, so no room to list page titles - That in the past list view were easier to read. No option to change, no option to roll back to a working version. (The previous, older version was 5 stars!) Frustrating, and equally saddened to experience this step backwards

Since using DuckDuckGo, I'm getting less spam mail, both electronically and snail mail. I like that it's simple to search like Google and user friendly but isn't using me and my information. I have peace of mind that my information isn't being sold for a profit when I'm using duckduckgo, I'm seeing the best results for ME, not what's going to make Google and their affiliates the most money off of me, and it's made with discretion and privacy in mind.

Not only does this app not track me, but even more importantly, it shows me results that Google goes out of its way to hide. I reccomend this app to people constantly. Anyone who still uses Google is giving their private data directly to the US government, as Google was founded through investment from InQTel, the venture capital arm of the CIA, DARPA, etc. Go Duck Duck 🦆!!!

It took two years to get used to it. I use it more than Google now. With all the updates to make sure your phone can not function without them, I hope duck go can keep up and make the browser stable and easier to use without collecting your information. I would like some websites to make themselves duck go friendly and not just close down. Needs more advertising and tutorials.

My mom got me started on this. I tried other apps but didn't like the setup. I wanted to get away from Google because of privacy issues and was about to start using the Google app again because of its convenience when I was suggested this app. I really like it and that its main focus is privacy.

Fantastic. Beats Firefox Focus because it doesn't break webpages like Focus does. ***UPDATE 11/6/2019*** Android app used to keep all my theme settings locked in, no matter what. Now, when I tap the 🔥 button to clear my tabs, it clears my settings as well. I like an all black theme on my phone and apps that will allow it. Duckduckgo allows it, but now, I have to constantly reload my settings. So the page comes up white instead of black. Supremely annoying update bug.

Recent update changes tabs view to tiles, with no option to see list view (as from before the update). I usually have 20-30 tabs open at once. The new view makes it frustrating to navigate. Switching back to Chrome pending an option to change this. If this isn't an issue for you, then the browser is great otherwise.

Great privacy app. Could use a better bookmark manager. Having all bookmarks in one list/level is impractical. Being able to instantly clear your browse history with the flame icon is handy, but almost too handy - placing it beside the bookmark icon invites accidental press and clearing if your history when you don't want to.

Hello, I have been using ur browser for past 3-4 months, most of the features are very good like privacy and no tracking, but developers still need to work a lot on ur search engine, its pretty crappy, even after writing specific search criteria it mainly shows the results for US region, because of which I am forced to use google search engine.

It's a bit laggy when closing tabs and purging data but it may because I'm on an old phone.(edit: lag issues arn't a problem once i upgraded to the samsung galaxy s9+. Was having issues on the s5 though) may feel off using it when your it's your first time using duck duck go or if it's your first time using the app instead of the standard phone browser. Other than that you get the hang of it real fast. I still like the desktop version paired with the brave browser.

This browser DEFINITELY collects information from searches/search history and uses it to predict what you are about to search. Which kind of defeats the entire purpose of having a "Private" browser. It is a good browser so I'm going to give it 4 stars. But it definitely collects information which is false advertisement. If the dev can explain this with proof that it is indefinitely a private browser than I will change my rating to 5.

I wanted privacy in my searches and didn't want everything I looked at catalogued and stored like Google does. From the little I've used it, I like it but it could do with more features. To me, it feels a bit "bare boned" but i think Duckduckgo are on the right track and I look forward to more improvements in the future.

I've only had it a few days but I like it so far. Those nasty rude Google ads that unexpectedly kept popping across my whole screen no matter how much complaining I did to them. They ignored me and popped them at me again. Duck Duck Go stopped my problem. No more hassle. Thank you DDG! 11-02-19 I have it installed on Amazon Fire tablet. An update notice frequents my dropdown but says it failed when I try. I sideloaded it thru google play which has no update notice tho Fire still says update.

I've only had it for a couple days but so far I like it. It's curious though that you can't put bookmarks in folders !! It's a pain having to scroll down to find you bookmark. Update: 11-9-19 Not sure if it's the browser or my Kaspersky but I can't get Kaspersky Password Manager to work on this browser.

Its really a 5 star app. Idk. It appears to provide solid protection of my privacy but, then why are some folks that have used it longer than me claiming what sounds like "micro-marketing ads". Like being tracked by data thieving cookies etc. etc.. And the lower rated reviews that I saw had zero responses from the developers. That says too much every time. Marketing a good app until it has "x" number users and then selling us out to profit, is far too common of a Business Model. Grrr... nm.

I'm lovin it,its perfect for me,it does things for which I had to use addons on Firefox and also its blazing fast and comes with dark mode by default, its perfect. It has adblock, tracking protection, smart https, everything as advertised. Im lovin it:) Con: I only wish if the ability to retain site history was present and can be cleared as required by the users.

Pretty damn good app, so far i've only used it for... explict content but it seems like it would be as good and nearly as fast as google. I have yet to use the app as it was innitialy intended (being for divice security within a browser) but being able to have more diverse content and not having to worry about someone finding it (when handed my divice or through me or forgeting to sign out of a google account). So far the app has been extreamly helpfull to that and I would DDG recomed to anyone.

I absolutely love DuckDuckGo! I'm shocked at the huge selection of responses or options I get to a search...and none of them feel like they're trying to push me in a certain direction. I also feel a lot more relaxed when using it because I don't have this nagging feeling in the back of my mind that someone's watching me or looking over my shoulder.

Please set new tabs up top, not where I have to scroll all the way to the bottom through 90 tabs every time I go back into my tabs. It's incredibly annoying and makes me hate this app a little more every time. I'm quite sure everyone else would agree. Please change it or add an option to switch the order. If you change this I'll change my rating and update my review. Thanks

Works well. I like the no tracking policy promise. Like with all security promises, I am doubtful and suspicious. Standing up against the credit mongers Transnational Global Security Apparatus usually does not hold up. Like a Time Warp, it is fleeting. But, helping you with protection from everyone except your overlords might be smiled upon, so longevity portends corruption over time.

Im gettin the same issue as everyone else thus far. The app is freezing whenever I attempt to use it, and its frustrating to say the least since Im almost constantly lookin stuff up/on my phone browser. Only reason I didnt give it 1 star is the customization you can do through settings, but even that is irritating to try and get to since its on the homepage, not the drop down side bar.

Easy to install. Straightforward usage. Still very new user. Unhappy at only 4 bookmark available when in use on my mobile, maybe I haven't got the hang of that part yet! Now sorted the bookmark problem,it's simply added to the bottom of the list. Simple.

Won't go to a five star till i have been using it for a bit longer but so far so good. Final straw with google came when they presented an add from cbs america who were obviously imitating as an australian tv channel. Wont go into details but expected refund of paltry $9.99 but of course google sided with cbs to dismiss my claim. Hopefully bank will see my side when i claim refund from my credit card. Google getting too big for their own good. Hoping my time with duck duck go will be better.

Generally pretty quick but some sites perform slower than with Chrome. Some sites do not render correctly, but that seems to be the random "Android experience", it's not limited to the Duck browser. Microsoft Edge is more reliable, so it's still back the PC at times.

I have never been happy with the intrusive way Google keeps tabs on its users. So when I learned about Duckduckgo I was happy to try it :-) I will not be going back to Google Anytime soon DDG is very familiar, but different I really like it :-D I have done several comparisons with DDG and Google and would rate DDG 90% - 95% accuracy

This browser app is exceptional! It is smooth running and hardly ever crashes unlike Chrome and firefox! Its privacy features are by far very exceptional! I would prefer to have all of my data encrypted beyond that of The NSA and CIA capability however...and would also love to fully customize the gui interface with my own images and text....just my own suggestion though.

Works great and i have had no trouble with it at all.. However the bookmarks could be a little more depth. Like folders and such. And possibly custom Themes Plugins would be nice.... Only reason for 4 stars is cus there is still room for improvement great app keep up the good work

It's OK if you don't need to go back in history to the previous page after doing something else. When you come back to the browser and try to go back it takes you to an empty search page as if you just opened a new tab regardless of how many pages you went through. If this gets fixed I'll bump it up to 5.

It's a good browser. I like it, although, I constantly have to change the theme (Dark Mode) every time I open the browser, which can be irritating. Plus, once you leave the search page, dark mode leaves too! Light mode comes on... Please get this fixed and I will give you those 5 stars

So far no issues, have enjoyed DDG on the computer and figured it was time for my phone to have the pleasure, look is different from chrome, so I need to get used to it. But very simple and relaxing way to surfe the net, knowing the tracking is less so more freedom

Only just started using it. Changed from an Iphone to an Android and always used Google to search. Seriously fed up with the many many more constant adverts appearing in my Gmail relating to recent Google searches. So changed to Duck Duck Go and changed to an ad free mail app. Happy so far.

Works good! No tracking ads following me. The searches could be a little better but I can still find what I need. Conversely, I tried a search with Google and was ad tracked for days. That's when the difference was apparent.

Suprisingly good! Having tried other browsers, they are never as light and fast as Chrome, but I don't like the 0-privacy of it. So gave a try to DuckDuckGo and... WOW! Fast, nice design and respectful of my privacy! Thanks for your work, guys! 👏🏻

Sick of being tracked and being treated as a product and finding every move you do in your phone on googles activity page. Hers the alternative DuckDuckGo its as good as Google and best part is it doesn't sell your private data to make bucks. And it also gives out donation to other privacy projects so use DuckDuckGo to help other projects like the Tor project which will help us to take back out privacy. DUCK DUCK GO

I have been a Chrome user for ages and finally tried DuckDuckGo again. I am searching a lot of computer science and software/DevOps topics. So far I am impressed. The results are relevant and it's a pleasure to use. I am staying with DuckDuckGo for the moment and will leave a little less data with the big G from now on.

i have been an Android user since 2013 , and with JellyBean 4.xx platform. As Chromium evolved so did evidence of my computer or camera parts searches appear on every internet page i visited, even on news websites. I wish Chromium would stop trying to replace my passwords with their own on major websites , no other browsers do this. DuckDuckGo is fast and secure

Love this search engine. Easy to bookmark, easy to clear history. Widget works well. I like my privacy and not being tracked. It's a simple to use, get to the point search engine. No unnecessary bells and whistles.

It's actually an awesome app! I honestly think it's a great alternative to google of you find that privacy is a big issue. Every thing seems to be perfect in it and I can't even find a bad thing to say... I've been using it for about a week, and it's been working great!

Freaking awesome application. I like privacy. If this app does what it says, then the developers and company truly deserves to be commended. It appears that it does. No targeted advertising, no leading autofill. Great work!

A FAR greater desurving platform than Facebook or Google that doesn't encroach on my net privacy, but wait there's more! Since I personally started web searching with the search engine I was even able to find the websites Google was screening from me I had actually assumed no longer existed.

DuckDuckGo is not as fast as Google Chrome by mere milliseconds, otherwise it is very capable and keeps your data for you. It does not sell or provide analytics to other companies like Google. Does anyone remember Google's original motto? Let's hope DuckDuckGo does not go the same way Google did.

If used correctly without storing passwords, duck duck is a quality searching engine and/or added browser extension. It works well and more people should utilize duck duck or something securitywise similar. Some things I want to try to influenced Google search, but most times I rather a private search.

Crashes and gets stuck. For around a week its crashed on a webpage and froze , i had to hard shutdown my phone . Then everytime i tried to start the app it kept trying to reload the last site and crashed frerzing my Samsung s6 . Had to uninstall and reinstall. If it crashes again i will delete the cache and data from app setting (never thought of that until now ) . If it was a true private browser then your history would be deleted by default and i would never have had this problem .

Works well and doesn't track me, listen to me or spy on me. Edit. Changed the review from 5 to 3 stars since the app crashes almost daily. Seems to be dependent on the site I am using, but this really shouldn't be a problem.

This App is fantastic! Super fast, super clean, super good! I love how we can delete all data after closing the app or with the press of a button, it's absolutely brilliant, time for Google to burn!!!!

Very helpful. I do not want people listening in ALTHOUGH, my family and I were talking about things spying on us and then I got a DuckDuckGo ad so I think that DuckDuckGo is paying for phones to listen in to conversations and if they hear that conversation, then to show their ad. Even if it wasn't them listening in, creepy thing to pay for. I still really like it :) Good job, DuckDuckGo.

Crappy "open in new tab" system, works only half the time. A bit agonizing in random browser procedures, but it's still better than ghostery. (Pretty low bar to begin with anyways) plenty of "meh" ratings like this one, it serves fine enough.

I like DuckDuckGo, it's very simple to use and fast too. I love that it doesn't track you. Maybe quick access or secret mode could be added as features, even though quick access isn't too important because there are bookmarks. Very recommendable overall!

I trust DuckDuckGo for private searches and this browser takes that privacy to the next level. Excellent browser with all the features you would want and that's fast and responsive. One of the first things I install on any new phone.

Oh well...it was good while it lasted. Videos embedded at websites not playing since last update. Update 11/14/19: Newest Duck update still has problems(i.e. fox news videos won't play inside Duck browser but will play with another browser). I will hold my breath and return at next "update".

This is a great app. It doesn't track you and the tabs are very easy to use. You press the tab button and you see your tabs and it's very easy to see what they are. I also like that you can press the flame icon to burn your history. I highly recommend.

Gives me search results -- yay, 1 star. Locks up my phone when I choose one of those results, never loads it -- negative 10 stars. Good thing I didn't pay any money for this POS. Go back to the drawing board, because I wouldn't recommend it, as is, even to my ex wife.

Happy with ease of disposal of intrusive tracking elements, and lack of bothersome advertising. Very pleased that this search engine takes privacy seriously, making internet usage much more pleasant. Thank you so much for the service, very much appreciated!
