First time doing anything even close to tracking my "intake" so..... It's a pain in the butt. However, this makes it easier especially once you get used to tracking everything and getting your foods input for what may not already be in the app. I was surprised at how much was! I've never tracked or thought about "macros" so this was a wakeup call for what I thought was a pretty decent diet. It wasn't bad, but my fat intake for example, was higher than I ever imagined.

I've used this app successfully since 2015. A few months ago, with the app open, an invisible audio started loudly for several seconds. No way to stop it. These ads still appear when I've got the app open. I hate this. I would change if I could but your app is best. You have enough ads that I can see, and accept this. Why frighten us withese these loud clips? Are you just trying to force us to pay for the upgrade?

I wouldn't even give a star. My wife used your app for the free trial. At the end we missed the cut off by a day, she forgot about it and never received any email about the renewal, and were charged $87. We canceled the membership immediately once we saw the charge and have been trying to get a refund. Over the course of a wk, fitness pal told her contact Google play who said no it has to be done through fitness pal as it was after 48 hrs. We just want our money back which should be no big deal!

When my friend said once she started tracking her food, she lost 15 lbs. Shehad changed nothing else. That inspired me to get MyFitnessPal. In the past week I've been using it, I am amazed at what I have learned about my macro breakdown. Reason why I have been unsuccessful in the past is now obvious. I look forward to making MyFitnessPal a daily part of my life. Easy to use.

If you burn a lot of calories, and don't get to under 1k "available" the app says you can't save the day, and it will not track. Regardless of how many calories you ate. Example. Yesterday, I burned about 2800 on top of the 1500 allowed. I ate about 2400. I can't save as I "am starving myself". I worked hard, I ate what I wanted. Edit: working now?

The app has made a big difference for me. I'm learning that I can eat the same foods ,just in moderation. Chose this app for its database of foods and easy work-flow. I find it very easy to find and track foods. I appreciate the estimated calorie and macro-nutrient values. The ability to add food by scanning the bar code is amazing! Con is that adding hime-cooked food is difficult. I end up adding individual ingredients. Also, I do not use the fitness tracker integration. Can't speak to that.

This is a good app for those who want to get fit. The 'diary' part is quite tedious because you have to put in every meal, but it is worth it to track your intake of food. You can put in your goals and it calculates your necessary calories. You can also put in your exercise. Another feature is the guided workouts suggested for you. Over all a very helpful app.

  8. Z S-avatar

    Z S

Easy to use, has loads of foods and their calories in the data base. Really easy to save set foods as a meal. Love the fact that one day I hit complete diary before I'd put in my lunch data so my calories were too low. A warning popped up to say I hadn't eaten enough, that it was dangerous and that it wouldn't use that days results in any of my stats so encouraging healthy eating. All of this available on the free version.

This is absolutely awful (my situation, not necessarily the app( I have been using this for about 2 weeks and it has completely crashed. It started off with not scanning bar codes, then I powered off my phone and went back onto the app, same thing. Then I deleted the app and downloaded it again now it says i was never registered in the first place!! This is absolutely RIDICULOUS!!!!

This app is working very well for me. It's easy to log food intake as there is a pretty comprehensive database of foods and their nutrients. You can also just scan the barcode if any processed food to get all the calorie and nutrient info. The app links to Fitbit and other fitness apps to include steps and other fitness related activities. Daily caloric intake is adjusted based on fitness activity. The app is not just about calories and weight loss, it has a focus on balanced nutrition.
