I really enjoyed the app when I downloaded it, but in the last few weeks I have become more frustrated about the app not functioning properly. It began when the app started crashing everytime I tried to open it, and after that was resolved my Fitbit hasn't been able to sync its steps to MFP. I tried deleting and reinstalling, but this doesn't work. I tried to disconnect the Fitbit, which it won't allow me to do. So now, I manually put in the exercise and I log my foods, but this sucks.

apk Easy to navigate and understand- best feature: scan the pckg of food all info comes up for a serving size and you edit from there. Not at all glitchy, ads do not bother me or get in my way. I find this very helpful, I'm just using the free version and am glad that I decided to use this to track what I was eating. Whether you're using it for weight gain, loss, or just to see where you can tweak your diet it's a great tool.

calorie counter myfitnesspal premium apk I love this app. I have been using it for years with great success every time I go back to using it. Recently it became and stayed, unsynced from my Fitbit. I am pretty bummed that it happened. After a few weeks of trying to disconnect, in order to reconnect, and no luck of it disconnecting, I ended up closing my account and opening a new one. Now my Fitbit is back synced with it. However, I lost everything from the past years and basically started over. I had tried other things with no luck too

calorie counter myfitnesspal app reviews Virtually everything I eat is already available by quick bar code scan. If not, it'll be there by search. Once the app learns your preferences it's super fast and easy. Keeps track of macros, vitamins, and exercise too (will link to your other apps so you don't have to even enter it). Perfect for helping you keep accurate track what you eat so you have a real chance of eating right.

calorie counter myfitnesspal download I have always been a fan of MFP and have used it to log and track food on and off over the years. So I was really excited to upgrade to the premium version and gain access to all the additional information. What a disappointment. What I now know is how inaccurate and inconsistent the data actually is. On top of this, since upgrading I have lost sync with garmin, and cannot get reconnected. If you want to track calories MFP will do that but wouldn't recommend if you looking for more than that.

calorie counter vs myfitnesspal Overall great free calorie and fitness tracker. Has huge food database, fitness database not so much. If you are able to integrate it with your smart watch or other activity tracker that may help, but I can't speak for those features. I only use it to track calories and it does a good job at that. It's a little cumbersome to add recipes if the search bar doesn't have it, but the ability to import recipes by url has definitely helped with that.

food calorie counter myfitnesspal Incredible app. Calorie counting through this app has totally changed how I see my meals, is not invasive into my life, and is extremely easy to use. If you are consistent and follow the app, it will change your diet and help guide your eating habits in the right direction. The free version of the app is fantastic, and there are few ads. The paid version is even better, and well worth the money.

better calorie counter than myfitnesspal I wasn't expecting much because all things I've tried to lose weight failed. This app is special to me. It keeps me on track! Easy to use & hard to believe, free!! Any foods I have typed in so far, is found with nutrition facts ready to go. I have lost 15 pounds in 3 weeks! You put in your goals & Bam! It sets your balance of nutrition for the day. Stay within you goals & you eat meals AND lose weight. I even have calories left over at the end of the day but I'm not hungry to eat. 10 lbs to go!

myfitnesspal calorie counter accuracy Used this app a few years and must say I am impressed by the changes to platform for recording food, creating recipes and logging water! Biggest issue is that you need to watch that the carbs, protein and fat in the food list are realistic. Where possible, use foods with green stars or better still, use the barcode scanner - which is an awesome feature!

fitbit calorie counter vs myfitnesspal **Update 3/29/21.. Although the app itself is very user friendly, I'm having lots of issues with my steps updating on the app from my Fitbit. When I first started using the app, it updated just fine. Then it started to take a few seconds to a minute to update and now it really doesn't want to. The last few times I had to disconnect and reconnect my Fitbit from the main My Fitness Pal website and then eventually it would update on the app. Any fix for this?

  11. Julian Martinez-avatar

Makes watching my food so much easier. Whenever I have a food I haven't eaten before, if I scan the barcode it will stay in my list and if I have it again I can choose it from the list instead of rescanning it every time. Has all the nutritional values on display. You can set personal goals for macros consumed. This will show you where you're at each day (provided you track your foods with the app) this is all in the free version too! Great addition to your health equipment. Recommend for sure!!

I don't know when this started to happen (guess is about a week, week 1/2 ago), the app stopped counting steps from Fitbit and, at certain times, won't count workouts either. I have communicated with customer support a few times and they helped with some tips to fix the app from my end. It worked once a few days ago, then it stopped again. I responded to the support email after the first issue then got no response to this day. It's getting a two star for now.

Me and my friends been using MFP many years now, but here's the thing though...the app hasn't been working properly for a very long time; it will NOT sync my workouts (FitBit/UA apps) which is extremely frustrating to me. I can't dis- or reconnect either, the app freezes and dies each and every time. I checked if there was an update many, many times and today I saw there finally was one. I started updating immediately...only to find out that it made no difference! Fix it please! -☆☆☆!

Very mixed feelings about this app. It's very good for tracking calories and has a comprehensive database, but the UI could be improved. Barcode scanning works reasonably well, however, I often have to tap the barcode scan icon multiple times before it opens (Pixel 2 XL, Android 11). I'm tempted to pay for premium, but I really want a dark theme. I'm evaluating Chronometer as it has a dark material theme.

    Tameca M.

I love this app and use it daily to track macros. It has a lot of great features such as customized meals and a huge selection of healthy recipes. It is great for accountability. This app has changed what I put into my body because you can set limits for carb, protein, and fat intake. My problem area was unhealthy snacks. If you sign up for a free trial, make sure it is the one you want. It was a hassle for me to get reimbursed for a yearly subscription.

  16. Mikael Moheim-avatar

It's a really good app where you can track your food intake almost perfectly. I have had no complications on the app yet maybe some foods that were hard to find, but it's easy to add. I decided to buy premium and never looked back, because it helps me stay more dedicated to track calories knowing that I used money on the app.

  17. Nancy Ruiz-avatar

    Nancy Ruiz

The app is okay when it comes to logging in your food intake, generating calories and the scanner is great, BUT it doesn't sync with my fitbit!!! At first it did sync and out of nowhere it stopped! I tried uninstalling the app and installing it again, NOTHING! I tried logging on it using my laptop, NOTHING! It completely stopped syncing. The reason why I loved syncing my steps is because it recalculates your calorie intake according to how much you're burning while walking. Disappointed!

  18. Tatiana-avatar

What's happening? I used this app in the past, even premium at one point and I was very successful. I decided to use it again and after downloading and creating a new account. To my disappointment, the barcode doesn't work....ok I try to update manually but calorie count for most foods is sooooooo off! I have to google it to pick the right one, I don't have TIME to google, I can't rely on this seems to set on sabotaging my diet 😆! Which I can by myself successfully. What a shame

***Now resolved and working again*** **posted below this morning but since then it is not scanning anything ** Great - barcode scanner works for almost everything. Love that I can set my own goals, see my macro and nutrient breakdown. This is the best app I have tried for being able to just scan the barcode. I have used it on barcodes from all over the world and so far it hasn't failed apart from on one faded barcode.

  20. Mo Nete-avatar

    Mo Nete

I really love this app. It helps me get on track with not just my calories intake, but also how much carbs, day and protein I eat throughout the day. I like the fact it tells me that "if I eat this way, in X weeks I wil weight Y kg" which gives me a good idea of how to eat, what to avoid etc. I highly recommend this app.

  21. Ana Arredondo-avatar

    Ana Arredondo

I love the scanning option, very accurate, i have been tracking my calorie intake on each meal, with one exception, in the past month the app has found every food item I wanted to add. Very easy to use, definitetely thinking on upgrading it! I recommend this app to track your meals...excercise...water intake...and I am using the notes section to track the eating window for intermittent fasting.

  22. Margaret Yu-avatar

Extensive nutrition value database, a great tool in planning meals. Would be even better if it syncs with my Garmin. Update: the app syncs with my Garmin! Even for the free version, it beats many other paid apps out there, and its paid version is particularly valuable to those who want to work on their macronutrient. Absolutely THE best weight management app, not one of it.

  23. Amy Sinfield-avatar

    Amy Sinfield

Use this app all the time but now it won't let me log any new foods by scanning the barcode as it keeps saying 'unknown error occurred'. Uninstalled to try and reinstall (which actually makes you lose all the foods you've previously scanned too btw!) and now it's not letting me sign in as it is saying it can't verify user, so now I can't use the app at all!

  24. Jill Santaita-avatar

    Jill Santaita

The app is pretty cool. But I just received a notification that $79 was taken out of my account 10 mins ago. I immediately cancelled, and requested a refund. I thought I would be getting notified before anything was taken out of my account. And my refund request was denied. So now, I paid $79 bucks for something I don't even have access to now. I would like a refund.

  25. Sade Rose-avatar

Getting 'unknown error has occured' every time I try a barcode scan. After a Google it seems this issue was flagged at least 3 years ago, and it seems it's still not been fixed and subsequent complaints have been ignored. Alongside a cluttered UI, intrusive ads, and whatever slapdash method they use to decide what measurements they'll allow you to log with, this app needs many improvements.

    Jeannine Jewell

Really good app. Was using noom and was about to sign up after the trial period (which I paid for) then was recommended My fitness Pal. Does every thing I need . Love the fact you can scan the bar codes on packages , to log calories etc. The free basic package is really good, perhaps the upgrade package could be slightly cheaper( for those into more in depth macro tracking) as £7.99 is quite a lot for the extras you get and in this climate I can't justify it.

  27. Devin Padgett-avatar

    Devin Padgett

Your mileage may vary. Pretty absurdly mediocre for one of the "top recommended" calorie counting apps. I used to love this app, but in recent times it feels like its constantly glitching, servers are up and down constantly, and now I can't even log back in after uninstalling the app trying to rectify some issues. Would switch to any other calorie counting app if I could, unfortunately MyFitnessPal does have really good features... when it actually works. Incredibly frustrating.

This app has really helped in being more mindful about what I am eating and in what amounts. Easy to use and navigate and even the free version has lots of useful information. Takes the hard work out of counting calories. Only downside is I cannot link up a huawei fitness band and so have to input this manually. I haven't used it to its full potential so cannot comment on meal planners and importing recipes.

Love it! This app is great. I've lost 35 lbs so far. I have 17 lbs more to reach my weight goal. The diary for tracking your food is really helpful. Once you've used all the foods you normally eat, they pop up and it's easy to regularly put in what you eat. The suggested calorie intake based on your goals is very realistic and I see myself steadily lose a little weight each week.

I usually LOVE this app but off late, it is just not syncing with my Fitbit app and it is driving me insane... When u are trying to lose weight and track your calories, getting to know how much you burned is also highly motivating but when the two don't connect it is extremely frustrating. I have done e eruthing - resyncying , switching off and deleting both the apps and then installing them again, logging out and logging in --- everything. This review is out of frustration.

Fantastic app, and very quick response from customer service. Had a slight issue with the barcode reader, which was fixed almost as soon as I reported it. Have had so much success in creating and maintaining a diet, seeing exactly how many calories and macro-nutrients are in almost any kind of food.

I thought this would be useful in tracking macros, as well as steps. I've tried MULTIPLE times to enable the steps counter, but I just get the "spinning wheel" and it eventually times out. I have the premium, on a 30-day free trial ........ which I will cancel if the tracking issue is not resolved.

  34. Rachael Findlay-avatar

I started using Google Fit as a step counter at work as I work in the medical field and am unable to wear a fitness watch. MFP tried to tell me that the 20000 or so steps equated to 1054 calories burnt. I thought it might have been an error so ignored at first. I used my fitness tracker the other day and that calculated 409 burnt calories for around 20000 steps which seems much more accurate. Turns out this has been an issue for years and never fixed! This could cause serious health issues!

I've used this app for many years and haven't had a issue till now. I have installed the app on my phone and tablet, but cannot log in! So frustrating! It keeps saying CAN'T LOG IN ON SERVER. I've tried using my log in info on both devices and even tried to reset my password thinking that was the problem. The only way I can use this is if I'm on the computer. I wish y'all can fix this in an update! Update....3/25/2021 The problem has been fixed and I'm very happy I am able to use this app again!

Edit April 3, 2021 - well that was short lived. Not working again. Edit March 30, 2021 - it's working again! My love for it has been restored, thank you! Old review: I've loved this app for over a year now but for the last four days I've had issues with it connecting to Fitbit, counting my steps and glitching. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, logged in and out etc. Nothing works. Hopefully this is fixed soon or else I will have to switch to another tracking app.

I'm highly upset. I downloaded this app to log my calories, to then find out that I was charged $85 for a 12 month subscription. That's ridiculous! I never agreed to that. I'm disputing a refund and going to delete the app. Why am I paying so much to log my calories in the app? Like there's a personal trainer included or something.

It's what I needed! Nothing too hard-core when you don't feel like it. It adjusts to you, it understands that the normal person needs certain things and handles my daily life very well! I have been losing weight very well and realistically. Your only going to get what you put into it. I mean effort, determination, and time.

I was using this daily. Things were going well for about 5 or 6 days and all of a sudden it stopped syncing to my Galaxy watch. I've tried logging out and logging back in again, uninstalling and reinstalling the app so I've given up. I'll not be extending my premium membership past the free trial and I'll move on to another app.

After 2 weeks of using it, the bar code scanning options stopped working and keeps saying "an unknown error occurred". But after leaving a review here about having difficulty, they actually sorted it out so quickly that they definitely have a permanent app user. It's so easy to use and gives you detailed nutritional information on each meal you add.

  41. Jk Zinda-avatar

    Jk Zinda

The app works well. It logs food quickly, the scanner works great, and it breaks down nutritional information well. I just don't need all the extra and I would prefer a cleaner screen that started in my daily food log. I do separate workouts, and it is constantly pushing a variety of eating plans and workouts. For me the premium isn't necessary, although I can see why some would like it all.

  42. Kim Price-avatar

    Kim Price

I love that it's as easy as scan bar codes and go! It also has many of my local restaurants and the nutrition information is pretty accurate. HOWEVER, I don't understand why my steps and water intake from Samsung Health (that is connected to my Samsung watch) will not sync with this app! My food and weight do. It's infuriating! I can't even add my steps manually. I'd like to be able to see all my information in one place. This is my favorite health app. I'd hate to have to find another.

  43. Brad Moore-avatar

I've been using this app for going on 7 years! Until recently I hadn't had any problems. When using my Fitbit this app fails time and time again to add my steps to my daily diary. I've tried everything and it only shows my daily steps when it feels like it lol. Wish they would get this fixed!

  44. Kaz Burgess NELSON99-avatar

After fixing issues the app worked, briefly. I would no longer recommend this app until they sort out the issue. One day it will connect to server then it won't. Don't waste your money on premium, sadly I did. Now changing my review, lots of bugs, my steps appear less than on my fitbit or they dissappear altogether. So cross as wasted £39.99 for a years premium. Had issues last year had hoped they were sorted out but obviously not. Poor show myfitnesspal very dissatisfied customer.

I have used this appn for a number of years. It's mostly been good, with the odd crash here and there (and that time they had that security breach), but I'm assuming it's just been updated, as the blue background is a different shade. But I can't get it to actually load so I can use it, so it's useless to me. The support page suggested doesn't actually help (and I have tried restarting and uninstalling/reinstalling), and I feel really disappointed that I can no longer seem to use it.

  46. Katheryn Meadows-avatar

Annoying Ads and Slow Loading. This app used to be great before it was bought by UnderArmor and tried to make money off it. The ads cause it to load slow and consume the screen. It was better when the app was simple. I used the app for years and stopped for a fee years. Coming back to it being so slow and ad filed is disappointing.

Cool app to keep track of my eating and how much. However, I've paid for the year's service and... Edit.. Still paying for a bullcrap service that doesn't include all things you would get, it's almost like getting punished for having an android phone. Now I can't login. This is pathetic. Please don't send me an automated response... Please. don't.

This app has really helped me turn my health around. Scanning barcodes on food to get calories, carbs, protein and fat is really convenient. If you have good digital scales to weigh your food it becomes easy to track. Get a big water bottle to make sure you're drinking enough and follow the food diary.

ORIGINAL: As of today (3/23/2021) the app won't log in. It was instantly crashing so I reinstalled it, and it won't let me log back in. It says it can't reach the servers. I can log into the website perfectly with the same email and password.

I love this app so far. Great way to track my dietary goals. However, I'm wondering about a specific feature. When I look at the macro graph, it tells me how many grams of carbs/fat/protein I've already eaten, but NOT how many I have left. It's a bit inconvenient to have to go and open my goals in some far away menu. Is there a way to see them at the same time? Like "Protein: 50g/140g" currently.

Although I like this app because it helps me keep track of my calories, I am only giving it 1 star because it will not connect to any of my step counting apps. I've even tried the ones that are listed as compatible and still nothing. I've repeatedly emailed for help with no feedback or solutions at all. 😡😡

I find it works well for my needs when counting and scanning calories but I get so frustrated when it doesn't record my steps and activity from my fitbit so I can work out extra calories I've earnt if I need them... I like the lay out of this app and I just want it to work! If the connect to fitbit worked I would give 5 stars but the activity/step tracking is a big deal for me.

Since update it won't open on my tablet. I have been using it on this tablet for almost 6 months. My tab!st is android. Only 6 months old. I tried to update my software but it says my device is up to date. I tried uninstall and reinstall. Nothing. I have been using this app for 3 years. I really liked it until now.

I began using My Fitness Pal years ago when it was first created. You used to get meal plans that you could easily edit. Now all of the best parts of the app require an upgrade and fees. Additionally, I can never get this app to sync with my Fitbit. I still like the calorie counter, although they should remove many of the repeating or incorrect nutrition values. And it is still fairly easy to use. I just liked it better before I had to pay for what used to be free

It was all going so well! Sadly it seems MFP & Fitbit are no longer on the same wavelength! Uninstalled and reinstalled both. Logged onto both websites and done everything recommended and still no sync. The the bottom line is that unless something changes soon I'll either have to buy a new expensive wearable or find another free nutition/fitness app.....

On attempting to disconnect and reconnect fitbit from this app to try and get it syncing and working again, it refuses to even connect. I get a webpage that says the team has been notified but it's been like this for about two weeks now. I rely on these apps and it's so highly frustrating to not even get updates from anyone about what's happening. I hope this gets resolved soon

Edit: fixed issue really quickly after reporting, top service. Can't create an account, sign in with an old account, sign in via Facebook... When creating an account it can't verify usernames. Sporadically it will suggest a username and then when selecting a suggested username, it can't validate it!!!! VERY frustrating to the point that I have no option but to use a different provider's app instead 🤷🏼‍♀️

The weekly digest is gone and has been for well over a year now. App also has issues syncing properly with samsung health and counting/registering the steps I've taken. Very buggy app overall. I'm having luck logging in now, but sometimes the calories I burned from walking that is synced with Samsung Health vanishes and it will say I have no negative calorie adjustment.

  60. Gnothac-avatar

I'm still using it since June of 2020. It is keeping me focused on my exercises, my physical therapy and what I eat. I am shocked how fast sodium, sugar and the calories add up. I lost 2 pounds in my first week. And I have healthily lost 14 pounds while gaining muscle without starving since I began using this app.

Good overall. You can't always enter your exercisecise as you did it. For instance, if I walked at a pace of 3.7 miles per hour I have to use the pre-programmed 3.5 miles per hour. A small thing, but I have used other apps where this feature is standard. That inconvenience is mostly made up for by the excellence of the food log. I have not yet found a food that could not be scanned nor one for which the scanned results have not matched the nutrition facts label. PLEASE keep this up!

I have been a user of mfp for almost 10yrs now. I love the site and the app, and especially the community. But lately it seems that there is something new that is failing every time I turn around... Community down, can't post pics, app crashes. It changes on the regular. It's incredibly frustrating, because I do love the friends and family I've built here. If they could stabilize the app and get the core functions to stay functioning... That would be a game changer.

Why can't I continually rate this app for the POS it is. It's the only app I pay for the premium version of. ONLY, and yet it is by far the glitchiest and inconsistent app on my phone. I'd write what's is wrong but where do I start?! Between the constant crashes, the bar code reading feature going down 2 to 3 times a week. CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND A BETTER APP FOR MACROS WITH A BIG FOOD DATABASE?

EDIT: It's fixed and I'm very excited so I'm rating 4 star. Absolutely love this app!!.........................I had to uninstall the app due to the fact that it would close on me. So I reinstalled it and now I can not get back into it. It says, "Login failed. We were unable to connect you to the server to log you in. Close or try again." After installing it i found out i already had an account, which means i once tried it and decided it's not worth it. Big mistake! This app is a life changer for me. Being able to watch my calories, also my nutrients info, helped me loose weight for the first time in years. Easy to log exercises, food and water. The qr code scanner is very useful. Easy to decide what to eat in a day. I only use it to watch my calorie and nutrients intake, so i can't talk about anything else.

It used to work flawlessly with my fitbit but for the past several days it refuses to connect to my fitbit at all so I can't track how my exercise is impacting my calories. When I started using this app I weighed a massive 100kg, I used my underactibe thyroid as an excuse for being so overweight. I had tried dieting, etc for years and nothing worked. Then I found MFP and lost 30kg and its been keeping me on track ever since (except when I've been a bit naughty). I think this is my 8th year of using it and I'm almost 52 so it's never too late to get in shape. Download this app... you won't regret it!

So many errors in this app's food diary items. It is like the wikipedia of food apps! It seems anyone can add anything. Why would I want to pay for the 'Premium' when the info in the free version is wrong? It needs a giant purge! There are other free apps that do this better. And the 'S Health' app leaves this in its dust. It offers a lot more, is free, and has more accurate data.

Been using this app for a long time. It was good for a long time. My husband got using it because he's a diabetic and had to watch his carbs because he uses a insulin pump. I would of given it 5 stars but lately weird stuff with what we record disappearing or an item could be in multiple times. We will still use it. Still a good app and although we don't pay for it, it's the best there is.

I bumped this app back to 4 stars as it now seems to be working with my Fitbit again. But, will not give full five stars as the amounts of steps done still are slightly off or are slow to catch-up. Thank you for getting the feature to work again but it needs to sync faster and say the same amount of steps and calories burned.

Great idea, poor execution. Sometimes the app is very slow loading in, half the time when I go to add a food I click the check mark and it goes back to the diary without adding it, adding new meals rarely ever works. This app is more work than it's worth.

I love the scanning barcode to get calorie information. So easy to use and accurate! Really helps me to stay on top of what I'm eating and how nutritious (or in my case, very un-nutritious) the food I eat is. I like that it can connect to my samsung fit to get exercise info.

The app is okay. Well it's the main one on the market that most people use but they left out some really useful features. The most important one is to share recipes you have made does not exist. If me my wife and some friends that all use this app are going to have dinner I have to save all the barcodes for them to scan and write down how much of each I used. I can make a recipe for it in my profile but there is no option to share the recipe with people I may be eating with.

Please, let us use your app. I would turn to other solutions, however, Garmin currently only relies on you so I have no choice. The app is just plain awful. It's unreliable and buggy. Unfortunately there isn't an alternative that has access to a database as comprehensive, so for now it's the best of the bunch. Fingers crossed Google's acquisition of Fitbit results in a concentrated effort to topple myfitnesspal.

Edited April 2021: while I still really like the app, you need to be careful because there are so many user added items with misinformation. You need a basic understanding of what your macros should be. If you something that seems to good to be true, do your own research. I love it. So far I haven't found a food it doesn't have in its database, which really helps when tracking.

  79. Smyles-avatar

This app is great as far as a calorie counter goes. The food library seems to be endless. You can easily scan barcodes to get accurate info too, if there isn't a nutrition label. There are also great recipe ideas. As for exercises and calories burned, there is a good cardio index. But, you're on your own when it comes to strength training. Not complaining though, as this is a "calorie counter". Overall, a great starting point for information and motivation!

Has the most extensive food database out of any of the calorie counting apps. Really great that you can save meals and recipes. So far this is a great app. It handles all foods very well. It records meals and combinations very efficiently for later recall of groups of foods it makes the process of recording whether you're recording calories or whatever, simple and straightforward. It had some synchronization issues with the bicycling app, but they seem to be working pretty well now.

This app could be better but it gets three stars because the free version is acceptable. I have a lot of issues with sharing meals with others in my household. The app constantly removes uploaded images causing me to have to re-upload meals, and progress pictures. Sometimes the app has a mind of its own and uses pictures of meals for my progress photos at random.

Absolutely Incredible App - been using it for years to watch what I consume and its just been brilliant. I'm on the Keto diet now and I would be absolutely lost watching my carbohydrates without it. Syncing to Samsung Health still doesn't work after, what is it, one year? Update: Have canceled my subscription. Further update: Thank you to the developer for trying to keep a once-satisfied customer. However, having followed the instructions provided (actually I've done this multiple times and tried all variations on uninstalling and reinstalling both apps, etc) nothing has changed. I love the app. Its definitely the best free calorie/macro counter Ive seen. Only issue is that it doesnt calculate your calories burned from exercise correctly. If I exercise more than once in a day, it only counts the calories burned from the last activity instead of adding them together.

Overall this app tracks calories really well and they have an unmatched selection of items, but I have a Wear OS device and mfp refuses to cooperate with it. So far i haven't had any proboems. I like the fact that you can scan your food with the barcode. You guys have breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, water, & exercise that you can log. I think you should add drinks. Sometimes it takes me all day to drink something other then water. Just an idea.

I can't give it 1 star because the catalogue of foods for calorie input is the largest out there. However, when trying to sync with fibit, I have to reinstall the app at least once a week but usually more due to sync failures. I don't pay the premium so I'm not too annoyed. I'm waiting on fitbit to improve their food diary feature now amazon has bought the company. If I could I'd delete the app now but there is nothing to rival the food library yet.

The app was helpful until it's recent update. It no longer syncs with Google Fit, so I have to enter my steps/exercise manually. Google Fit logs steps in minutes/mile, and MFP does so in minutes/km, so I have to convert the rate before entering the data. I tried all the fixes they suggest, to no avail, and my message to their tech team as gone unanswered From other reviews, it seems that the Premium version is just as buggy. Guess I will have to (Z)oom to another paid app.

  94. Przemysław-avatar

They charge for service they can't deliver. I cannot retrieve my premium in the app. The support told me to log out, force close, clear cache and log in again. It doesn't work and they do nothing to fix it except repeating the same. I even sent them screen recording showing the problem.

What was once a quality free to use app has become an obnoxious advertisement space in an attempt to force an over priced 'premium subscription' on users. You'd have to be silly to pay for this when there's an abundance of free alternatives offering the same service.

  96. Ariane Russell-avatar

Missing what would be great and seem like simple features. There's no search option in MFP blog recipes. It gives different calorie counts if you add a MFP blog recipe to your own recipes. I feel like when you add a recipe to your daily diary, it should have the link to where you got it from. Instead you look at what you're having then back in to your recipes to search for it, get the link and find out how to make it. Good for keeping a rough eye on calories but could be so much better.

  97. Dana Way-avatar

The reliability of the app has totally fallen off recently. Don't even think about trying to use the barcode scanner... glitches out and shuts down the app every single time! Amazing calorie tracking app. It's easy to add food and if you can't find what you're looking for, you can easily add your own meals/recipes. I love that it also syncs with Google fit although on most days, it only syncs my steps but does not sync other workouts especially if the data was uploaded from another workout app. Also, a challenges page would be great instead of having to go through your notifications to find them. And maybe more personalised plan varieties for premium users.

Bloated, uses delayed fuse ads to trick clicks. Reply: the ads are placed to pop up during usage and if you click anywhere on the screen besides a tiny x on the top right corner the ad opens. It's a common tactic, and it's intentional. Reinstalling isn't going to change it.

Something is messed up in this new update 3/23/21. It is not syncing up regularly with Samsung Health and showing exercises multiple times. It also added my dinner entry 3 times. And continues to re-add it even after deleted. Freezing and spinning busy signal. Too bad my dietitian uses this app. I would never pick it in my own. Worked decent before update!

Worked fine the first few months but since the start of March 2021, I have had to disconnect and reconnect my Fitbit app every single day for exercise to register. That is just not worth the effort. I will find a better app that doesn't require me to do this every single day.

Trying to sign up and it rejects my perfectly valid email address. A fail Also, it is clearly geared toward North Americans as the meals you enter to track calorie intake are mostly American making it difficult to be exact on your tracking. For an app this expensive, I expected better. Still a fail.

Brilliant for keeping track of your daily intake with quick and easy access to a huge database of foods. Great selection of exercises to log and scope to account for calories burned breastfeeding. BUT... the app keeps having issue syncing with Fitbit app despite frequent force stops, uninstalling and reinstalling

Love the food tracking; recipe tracking; premium has great extras. The app has recently stopped syncing with fitbit for steps. I have gone through all of their troubleshooting steps and it just won't work. This is a huge deal for me and makes the CICO estimates basically worthless. It needs to be fixed ASAP.

I'm giving this a 🌟5 STAR🌟 rating because I've used this MFP app for over 5 years now and I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT‼️ It's part of my all day every day. But today has been beyond frustrating for me. I can't log in. It just won't let me. Please fix this issue. I'm using it on my computer, but I really miss the convenience of the app on my phone.

Was a great app, last weeks update means opening from garmin connect goes to the website and gives an error message. Raised a ticket and was told they're aware of the issue and working with garmin to resolve but I should raise a ticket with garmin too? 🤔🤔🤔 If you're talking to them how does me raising another ticket with them help. Please just fix it ornatkeast post some updates on whats happening. Bearing in mind I decided to pay for this app I hoped for better support. UPDATE 24/03/21 Things go from bad to worse, so after 3 weeks you fixed the issue with it not linking properly from garmin. Now today it doesn't recognise I am a premium subscriber so cannot access the features I use. Clearly there is little or no proper testing before software releases are sent out. From a professional company I'd expect some kind of extension to my subscription as way of an apology for all the issues I've experienced, however, from reading other reviews it seems unlikely. So I think I will cancel my subscription and look at other applications that work correctly

Usually I would rate this 5 stars without hesitation however my app no longer syncs with my fitbit. I've followed all of the steps they suggest for this however still no luck, very disappointing. Recently paid for the premium option and am therefore even more frustrated by this.

For some dumb unknown reason, the app doubled/tripled the food entries I tracked on all past days, screwing up tracked data. Never touched the past days, these duplicates just show up when I opened the app. An utter product & development joke. Can't revert to previous state, no syncs or backups—I'd have to manually delete the duplicates caused by app—more effort than it's worth for a product that hasn't improved to deliver better user value after so long. Edit: it now does it on every reopen.

Excellent! It has a big food database which means I can track foods that I've bought even if they don't have a label with nutritional information on. The UI is clean and the app is very easy to use yet there is so much detail! Would recommend! ^_^

It would be better if Galaxy Wear was one of the step trackers it was compatible with. Also, alexa doesn't work with it like it advertised. Otherwise, it's a pretty decent app. We shall see how much it helps.

This app is a great addition to my health monitoring. The database of foods make it really easy to keep track of my eating. This helps me maintain a good diet. And the integration with the Health app makes entering data easier.

I have been logging on to My Fitness for a few days now but the login problem is as soon as I go to login, a server issue comes up. Since the update, it is very difficult to login the account with the help of Problem. Please update

Does not sync with my Fitbit app! Have gone through the rigamore of what I'm supposed to do to get it to sink and then the next day it does it all over again. This bug needs to be fixed. I'm now uninstalling this app and I will not use it

I got accustomed to this app fairly quickly. I started out as 210 pounds and am currently around 180 pounds. This app really changed my perspective of what I eat and how much I eat. Its very helpful and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to lose weight and figure out their daily meal plan.

So far the best app for keeping track of your calorie intake. It has helped me to know how to eat healthy and with the meal that is high in calories. My Fitness Pal have served me well. Now I know how to track my growth and stay consistent with my daily meals.

Updated 3/29/21: Quick reply from the app developer and the issue is fixed. Excellent app! I would only ask there be a way to add custom foods to your by scanning a bar code without having to add it to your daily food log. Thanks!

I really like the barcode scanner, and most of the nutritional entries seem to be pretty accurate. I wish the add recipe function was a bit easier to use. I always have a hard time adding ingredients.

The app keeps me upto date on my daily food intake and exercise. It is easy to follow and gives good advice. I like how easy it is to scan food and it tells you exactly all the information you need to know. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Fix the issue myfitnesspal, it's embarrassing. Myfitnesspal has recently started getting a ton of fake accounts sending out friend requests that promote "adult content" and have borderline pornographic profile pictures. Other apps that this happens to become forgotten relics if they don't fix it. App is great for tracking, some info is added incorrectly so you need some basic knowledge to make sure you're not adding calories/macros incorrectly.

Google fit not syncing with app. Known bug apparently. Also have repeatedly tried to log my diary for the day and getting an error message saying server issue. This is my first few days of the free trial, can't see me 7.99 or £40 for the year with this service :(

**update** Fixed!! Relieved 😊 As much as I have loved using this app for almost 4 years, it started degrading on my Samsung S10 phone. I tried to reinstall it and now it won't let me log into my account. So far the help I got from tech support has not helped at all. Very frustrated!!

*TECHNICAL/ CUSTOMER SUPPORT* I'm currently doing a 12 week challenge. Tracking my calories is great ,but I'd like to track my workout sesh as well. The hardware km using is WAHOO TICKR. I've connected MFP on WAHOO app, but can't seem to find WAHOO on my android Calorie Counter -MFP. Ease advise. My Trainer can't monitor my results properly if he has to navigate between apps.
