Usually download the gpx tracks and use offline with twonavs. Had to factory reset my phone recently and hadn't put twonavs back (have to dig out purchase key from an old email) . Was in a hurry, so tried this for a hike. Burns an inordinate about of battery, even when not active and lights up your firewall (rooted phone) with data streaming outbound to multiple ip addresses. Not impressed.

If you like hiking and need suggestions for great routes at all levels of difficulty, this app and the community behind it have you covered. The app provides great real-time navigation, with excellent online and offline maps. Lt also doesn't appear to be too battery-hungry, so with a fully charged phone, you're generally good for a day's hike/cycle/whatever.

Very useful app that allows you to follow hiking tracks and save your progress. The free version doesn't include the option to see where exactly you are in the path but it offers enough features for being useful, by comparing your saved progress with the recommended path you can easily tell if you got lost somewhere along the way. The best hiking app I've used so far.

Great app!! Numerous uploaded trails available. Very useful features allows a lot of customization, prompts alerts user when approaching waypoints and if user is off track when navigating a downloaded trail. So far this is the best of the tracking apps that I have tried.

Offline capabilities are very scarce and unstable. Sometimes when offline you can loose your loaded tracks and once you are offline you can not load tracks with your actual location. Also, sometimes the offline map will be blank. This may leave you stranded in the middle of the mountain without a way to know where to go.

Loss of GPS signal caused track to freeze and could not resume. Could not choose direction of travel on circular routes.

Very usefull for navigating online and offline, ideal to keep track of your training/routes, find new ones also, go places only locals know, the ones you dont find in the tourist office lol.

a really good app to find routes. I use it to find walking trails all over the world and found trails I otherwise never would have walked.
