I was planning on using the app to move files and folders between my laptop and phone, but it's horrible. It works well within its own biosphere, but trying to get a folder from your laptop downloaded and then moved to a different folder on your device is absolutely impossible. Even if it would just do what the browser version does: download a zipped file. Uninstalling the app and using the browser from here on. Absolute useless.

  2. Iuri Rodrigues Farenzena-avatar

The app is fantastic. I've been using it to backup my photos for many years and now I'm loving the On This Day feature. It needs a pause sync function like you have in the desktop. Often when scrolling through the gallery I accidentally tap on the invisible scroll bar on the right edge and it jumps to a complete different date. I wish I could change on which side that scroll bar is.

  3. Jk world-avatar

This app is just great, so easy to manage every thing, way better than google drive, google photos and others out there. I have been using onedrive for more than a year now. It is just awesome. Highly recommend it to everyone one. Great gob Microsoft! ☺ Edited: original I gave 5 stars, but now I'm changing it to 4 stars, because now I dont have free 100GB even though I'm using a Samsung device. I only have 5GB and I think it's not enough, I think we should get atleast 10GB. :(

This is an update from my review one year ago. Mystery Solved: the files that I updated on PC that I could not find in OneDrive App are still there but they only show date created, not date updated. So sort by date pushes them to the bottom and makes them hard to find. Next update: while I have found Microsoft Tech Support for Windows 10 to be increasingly better, Microsoft App Support for OneDrive App is away from the keyboard, absent without leave, as in zero response in 12 months.

  5. Charles B-avatar

It's great to have all you files, documents, etc., saved all in one place and electronically. No matter where I am or what I am doing, my information is available at my fingertips. Not only do I have storage but also all Microsoft Apps because of my subscription. This is certainly better than buying the Microsoft Suite separately and having to buy devices for storage. It is secure and you don't have to worry about losing a device

  6. Mani Malm-avatar

OneDrive should filll in the void of GrooveMusic on Android by adding better stand-alone music playing capabilities. Currently it doesn't continue to play/stream audio files in the background when the screen is off and doesn't support/show folder.jpg cover arts while music is playing etc. Keep up the good work and best regards.

  7. 777 pva-avatar

I love this app and it's pretty user friendly. The only thing I don't like is that it won't automatically backup my drives. I've tried to set it up, but it doesn't work. I want it to back up new files and changed files instantly, but it doesn't even back up at all. Every time I add or change a file on my computer, I have to manually save it to OneDrive too.

  8. John Tejada-avatar

I am trying to make Microsoft's OneDrive a replacement for Google's and for most cases it does a nice and comparable job. Unfortunately the free version doesn't support multi page document scans. I also like to track and share URL's to a folder on my OneDrive. When I share a URL from my PC it retains the URL file type, however the Android app converts it to text. Additionally the last folder isn't remembered so you will need to navigate to save multiple items. What's nice with URL file types are that they still work in either environment. Let's also mention that they want us to save photos there but don't appear to have an image/photo editing app integrated or separately.

  9. Karl Cleveley-avatar

OneDrive is good, however, it does have its fair share of problems. Microsoft is guilty of taking control over my files when interconnecting. Leave my photo library files alone, regardless if I want to view them online or not. Also, if I delete a folder, it doesn't mean that I want it deleted on my OneDrive account as well. Let customers pick and choose what pictures, music, videos and documents they want to send up to the OneDrive cloud. Is that too much to ask for?

  10. Ian Lockey-avatar

OneDrive used to be great but lately it's been poor as it does not sync with my PC or laptop correctly. I was going to give a 1star but that would have been petty. and one drive does not update on Google play. i use a Lenovo P10, and an Android phone and both do not update on Google play. I have to uninstall and then install and this time it has not corrected this time.

  11. Jeffrey-avatar

I hit the open app button, and it automatically dissappears. Why is it that microsoft is consistantly plagued with bug issues. You would think that a company that has been " the game" for years, has fallen thius far behind. I just downloaded teams and im having second a messanging app 1/2 what other aps do and now this.....

  12. Wilhelm Vineyards-avatar

I love the app. I just wish Corporation jousting would end and all systems and apps would integrate more seamlessly across all phone apps. Example: Using a popular social media app and posting a photo from OneDrive can be challenging. Multiple steps to download to phone / other app accessible folder is required. As for OneDrive itself and running a day-to-day business, it's very useful and provides us great source documents / collaboration functionality.

  13. ananth babladi-avatar

One of the main reasons i stuck to one drive is to upload and maintain my photos online. I agree that the stupid whatsapp strips off the EXIF data of a photo and hence OneDrive gets the photo with latest date (the uploaded date) rather than the original date of the photo. But Google photos at least has this nice feature to change an entire album of photos to a specific date of my choice. By doing so, Google photos are ensuring that my photos are chronological atleast to the week if not the day.

  14. Jesse Anderson-avatar

Great app with one awesome feature. The app works well for accessing all of my files. Never had a problem with connecting to my account or anything. My favorite feature is the daily message I get that shows all of my photos taken on that day in past years. It's been an awesome reminder of the growth of our family over time. I'd love to be able to limit where reminder pulls pics from though, as it includes all image files including graphics for other projects and album art for backed up music.

  15. Janice Charles-avatar

I have been using One Drive for many years now. I have always found Microsoft Office to be the best software in the market. One Drive has always been the main storage hub for my business and personal documents. Extremely useful and easy to use.

  16. Kevin Au Duong-avatar

Works really well, better than I expected and quite really the best drive app for integration with Windows 10. The sync is instantaneous, the UI is great, and for those who are students like me, if you already have Office 365 then an extra $2 AUD a month for 100 Gb is quite generous. Nitpicks would be that the there are occasional problems with ghost folders and the fact that on Windows 10 it automatically syncs the Desktop folder is really, really annoying.

  17. Doug Watkins-avatar

It's almost a really good application. The app itself is pretty good. The program on the PC isn't good. It backs up what it wants to, which leaves the files I'd like to use on the tablet inaccessible. I'll find a better way to sync my files. Dropbox might be a better tool.

  18. Nathan T.-avatar

Terrible at uploading photos with the correct date.. if I were to turn Off and On the "Camera Upload" feature, the photos get all their dates messed up and no long appear in chronological order in the Photos tab.. it makes it so difficult to find photos and videos when they are out of order

  19. Lindsay-avatar

Since the last update I can't open my files tidy - they start to open but stay blurry with the circle whizzing around, I can still open into word from there but can't just read it and I can't uninstall/reinstall as it came preinstalled on my phone, annoying as it's always worked perfectly for me.

  20. Serif Alyanak-avatar

All your documents in one place, instantly and seamlessly accessible, also allowing integration with many other platforms that you often use in your daily life. I have been using OneDrive for more than two years and didn't have any issue so far.

  21. Wayne Atkinson-avatar

The app has improved a ton over time. Being able to automatically back up my image is something I couldn't do without. Reminding me of images in this day from years ago is also really cool.

  22. Zhang Rongxin-avatar

The synchronization speed in mainland China is too slow to update or download files. Hoping the synchronization issue could be fixed or improved in the future. Anyway, onedrive is one of the best backup software I have ever seen.

  23. Asher Merrill-avatar

Best Windows integration of any cloud storage app with sensible sync policies and enough flexibility to be molded for almost any task (for example, capable of syncing symlinks). Android client provides access to my files in a pinch. I couldn't work without OneDrive. Thank you Microsoft.

  24. Lukas Maximus-avatar

Extremely slow.. If you want to download your entire drive in my case 60gb, expect it to take days over a 125mb fibre connection. In comparison on another occasion I downloaded red dead redemption over 100gb and it took well under 3 hours.. There solution is to download in batches by the time you have done that and there server just randomly cuts connection and rufuses more than 4 connections at a time it take as long and a significant amount input. Dropbox was much better.... But not perfect

  25. Angel Beurrier-avatar

I use to be a paid subscriber prior to being FORCED to use it as my back up for my ph- now I can't delete pics w/o deleting them fr my onedrive acct & it's not allowing me to choose which acct I prefer to use! Has me locked into an old acct I had stopped using years ago,,, they're just like apple- identical to the reasons I chose to switch to android 👎

  26. Muhammad Fajri Sachruddin-avatar

the app tell me that "we couldn't sign you in. There may be issues with the account manager in your devices". and it's tell me to restart, but even after restart it still happen. i've tried clear data, cache, and force stop, i already tried to reinstall the app too. but nothing help. please help me.

  27. John Hightower-avatar

If i could have control over which photos are uploaded, I'd use the camera upload. But not when it automatically uploads every single photo (2,500+) on my phone! Otherwise, it's a good place to store files and documents.

  28. Gerald Craig-avatar

Keeps uploading duicate files over and over to use up your data and tell you to upgrade and pay. Wont let me select to stop this unless i shut off all uploads. Just need file transfer not backup of loads of duplicates. Theyll probably make itfill up on premium to sell a higher plan. Just let me upload what i want transfer then delete. Ticking me off

  29. Hamrakul Nazarov-avatar

    Hamrakul Nazarov

The best app for PC users, it is much convenient if you use both phone and PC for the same tasks, compared to google drive and dropbox. I have been using all of them, but now I am using only onedrive, since I work on PC and android at the same time, the only minus is free storage space is very low.

  30. Yvonne Handley-avatar

Absolutely Dreadful. I upgraded to get more storage and regretted that immediately. The screen goes crazy repeatedly swiping itself from left to right and FAST so you cant stop it. Once I find out how to get my money back this version has gone !!.. dont do it

  31. Rolandas Kinskis-avatar

    Rolandas Kinskis

App has good design, usefull features and I love the experience with it. Only the camera scanning is a disaster, when after doing so you cant find your files easily. Recents somehow does not work well

  32. Eric Sylvain-avatar

Photos tab picks up ALL pictures, meaning a ton of random JPG/PNG files outside of my actual photos folder are mixed in... I get "rediscover this day!" notifications, and half the time it's not pictures I took, but rather random files sitting outside my pictures folder. Fix this. Beyond that, it's a good app.

  33. Nance Wake-avatar

This app enhances photos with significant amounts of white in the image and automatically crops the image as it sees fit. My son's writing...completely ruined. Not possible to turn it off. Spent an hour trying to upload the photo thinking I did something wrong. Major bug. Randomly ruins photos you thought were stored.

  34. Teresa Blanco-avatar

It is great that I can use my files anywere with this application. I am a accountant and no matter were I am, I can send copies of tax returns or documents to my clients. No mater if I am at work or at the beach, my cell and this application is my office anywere. Love it! March 2020 TBD

  35. Phil & Liz Marlow-avatar

    Phil & Liz Marlow

Intuitive and very easy to use across devices. It seems to backup with the minimum of disturbance to ongoing work and is so fast I now work directly on files in OneDrive. A good product and the 1TB storage is more than I will ever use.

  36. Lance Sabbag-avatar

I am on my chromeboo, i am trying to log into the main system and website, and instead it redirects me to the app. This is not useful, it should ASK not be forced to use the app, like everything else microsoft does with onedrive, just shoving the way they THINK it should work down my throat.

  37. will street-avatar

Even after paying for two months subscription, most photos were locked and I was not able to veiw them, nor send them ot upload them to any other location. Cancelling my subscription was also impossible. Terrible support tech app

Love this!! Easy 2 get my Live Email Acct open; & all of my mail read; &, go2 my Cloud to find things and best of all, it's ALL IN THE SAME AREA AND APP TO FIND ALL OF THIS TOGETHER, AM I RIGHT?! I SURE AM, Y'KNOW IT!?!

  39. Maciej Faron-avatar

I must say that I am really surprised with the quality. The app is good and gets the work done, sync works without hiccups and overall it is very convenient thanks to smooth Windows desktop integration.

  40. Luis Ortez-avatar

the app has nailed the file explorer capability, but still feels like a phone on chrome OS. simple things are missing like hyperlinked roots, so it becomes easier to jump between locations without having to hit the back button. great job, but still needs great improvement.

  41. Ahmet Akdemir-avatar

It's really good and I like it. My only problem is, when I scann a page on my printer to my OneDrive account as a word document it's completely buged. Pdf is normal but I don't get why it's so in word. Anyways, great.

  42. DIM-avatar

Performance is a big issue with Onedrive. A far cry compared to Google drive. The photo section is a complete mess. Pictures are not sorted by date taken but by date added!? Deleting a picture take seconds! 😲 I do not think I will keep my subscription.

  43. Joel Mounsher-avatar

Really good for back up and accessing files from other devices. I haven't given 5 stars as there is not an option just to subscribe to just the one drive and less storage for a lower fee.

  44. Wan Zheng Er-avatar

Can you add a scroll button for OneDrive mobile version? This is pretty bad for a paid cloud service. I have to scroll through 12k of photos every time. It also doesn't help that the app resets every day so I cannot scroll and leave the photos there.

  45. Michel Sherman-avatar

Very reliable, works smoothly with photos and documents. Love the OneDrive cloud for mobile work and play, and as a secure backup. Keep it up Microsoft, don’t mess up a good thing!

  46. Ben Nguyen-avatar

Great app. I have been using this app for about 4 years and the app is fast, reliable and work well with Office 365 tho

  47. Scott K Marshall-avatar

Initially this app was like the rest somewhere online to store stuff. However now it has developed to be a slick classy interface and application of choice for photographic cloud storage. @skm1963 professional property photographer #Scotland

This app have helped me in more ways than one. For one, it can seamlessly sync your files across different devices (much more with ms office files).

  49. Aneek Krishna-avatar

Its nice to work with this app. However, its storage is limited. From my opinion storage should be increased atleast 10 GB. I am looking forward to it..

  50. Jimmie Coleman-avatar

I love how simple and easy it is to sync with all of my devices. I can access any of my files as long as I have internet access or mobile data. I even paid for the extra storage

  51. David Stephen-avatar

Surprisingly Good, expected it to be complicated, even with my marginal computing skills had it up and running in no time. Great storage space.

  52. Jon Evans-avatar

Shared Hotmail/windows account? what do you think happens when your main email account gets compromised by a hacker? That's right, thanks to one drive they can now steal files straight from your pc! :D On the plus side Microsoft support was awesome. :)

  53. Rodney Sass-avatar

I really can't ask for anything more. Navigation has become a breeze and syncing with other devices, sharing documents is a blast!! I'll say it again--I love everything Microsoft

  54. Jesse Tibbetts-avatar

I've used this app for years, and across many devices. The auto upload feature is great for storing pictures without the worry of losing them.

  55. Ste Smith-avatar

In this day and age I expect Auto backup!!! Just want to select 'backup entire device' hit Go and thats it!!! Why do you make it so complicated and manual instead of auto backup!!

  56. Yousef Abdulrahman-avatar

    Yousef Abdulrahman

Great and easy to use, but the experience should be better. It looks like an old cloud storage app. Needs to look more like Google Drive

  57. gooshimin L.A.-avatar

Great Ap. While others I have and used have little gliches Onedrive does not lose files like Google Drive does and Dropbox is awkward like Win 95 or later. One drive seems to move stuff around but not lose them.

  58. Victor Maoya-avatar

Well done Microsoft. Your apps have come a long way including this one and I absolutely love. I would like you to just change the premium icon to something more appealing.

  59. Shahmeer Durrani-avatar

    Shahmeer Durrani

It's a good app, however, I can't keep it open for more than 20 seconds because it crashes. No matter what I do, the app crashes every single time without fail.

Excellent app! As a college student, it helps me keeping my documents organized and access them from any device that has the Microsoft OneDrive Cloud. Totally recommended! #lifesaver #productivity #effective

  61. Jamie S-avatar

Convenient It's nice to be able to access files on my computer and phone when i cant have both with me. I can keep all my important files in one place witb easy access.

  62. Doobydude-avatar

Keeps saying there is an update and then installs and doesn't actually install anything. Degoo is much better to manage cloud storage. And can earn A LOT OF free storage.

  63. Omar Mir-avatar

One word to describe it would be inconsistent. For example: renamed a shared folder? I hope you remember both names as they will both show up depending on where you are in the app!

  64. Shelby Wright-avatar

I have recently lost a ton of documents through this. Followed directions on recovery and it does not help. I love technology and applications like this are usually great, but it has put me in quite a difficult spot. Do not trust!!!

  65. George Ungureanu-avatar

If you have an Office account you get 1TB of storage. It sinks with Windows and you can save everything from your phone, so accessing any content from another device is super easy.

  66. Darren Neill-avatar

I have never used cloud sync software and services that work so perfectly. it just works always. lots of storage with a 360 subscription.

  67. José Alvarez-avatar

Super great! And also great room to store files. I don't really need to care about my files. I'm sure everywhere I go I can access to them in any device.

  68. Sandra Cobb-avatar

Love the "on this day" feature! Good memories plus I get to delete unwanted pics. Great app. I use it daily.

  69. Brian DeVito-avatar

Onedrive has been the easiest cloud drive for me to use across multiple platforms, devices, and/or operating systems.

  70. Daniel Caranti-avatar

I absolutely love OneDrive. It's flawless, friendly, easy to use, aesthetically pleasing. Easy to synchronize with my phone, tablet and pc.

  71. Fengfu Xu-avatar

Chromecast constantly disappear. No photo editing tool. If it is from a small company, I may rate it 4 stars, but for a company like MS, 1 star only.

  72. Adrian Nickson-avatar

Very useful. Nice reminders of days gone by. However, some things are not intuitive (e.g adding photos to messages or emails).

  73. Peter Nilsson-avatar

One Drive is easier to use than other similar apps which is great for people, like me, who are still high tech challenged. One Drive is great!

  74. Valerie Bailey-avatar

I love being able to access and edit my files from different devices. I have had no problems with getting into the files. They are always readily available.

  75. Caroline D.-avatar

This is useful to backup documents or photos and the free version still has a capacity that is large enough to save lots of things!

  76. A Google user-avatar

It's okay until you run out of free space, which has a low limit. Then Microsoft try to screw you with an excessive monthly payment.

  77. Joe T-avatar

This is a great ☁️ software! Love the on this day feature showing your pictures you took from years ago. Since I subscribe to Office 365 I have 1Tb of storage there. Love it!!!

  78. Sarah Todd-avatar

This app is fantastic. They donated 1 million dollars to me for no one but me for the hardship of controlling my phone and mocking me. So i guess for the money its okay but they seem to be doing better now they switched over to a jesus background.

  79. Narek Mkhoyan-avatar

Just a great app to use if you are a student or anybody who uses documents a lot, and need to have them synched around your devices. I am glad my phone had the whole office package preinstalled.

  80. Nick Adams-avatar

Dark mode is back and so is the 5 stars. Old review. Was 5 star, had to remove a star because they took away dark mode?? Dark mode is set in Android 9 and there's no setting to enable in OneDrive.

  81. Rashmi Joshi-avatar

I am missing ear button in your pdf reader because I love hearing the text in it. I frequently use this feature in my everyday life. So, please bring the ear button back in your pdf reader. Thank you

  82. Casper N-avatar

They have made it IMPOSSIBLE to cancel your subscription, I have been trying for 1 hour without any clue (link or option) and I'm still trying at the moment! very shady business, Don't enroll with them! You have been warned.

  83. Tom Poling-avatar

What an outstanding app! I mean come on how can you beat being reminded of what took place a year ago on this day, not something you would have normally thought of. The only reason I did not give it five stars it's just a matter of opinion and that is, I'm not a big fan of having all of my photos sitting on a service somewhere. Otherwise fantastic app! Thank you Microsoft OneDrive.

  84. Ashwin Dhekne-avatar

Excellent backup on cloud as well as on mobile handset. If you change your password then you need to again download offline data.

  85. AJ C-avatar

Provides a seamless connection between my home computer and my phone. I like how easy to backup photos can the album's it creates are spot on.

  86. Glenn Williams-avatar

Not sure what features I'd love to see, but it works well for storage and is easy to access and manipulate.

  87. Daniel Dobeson-avatar

How do I set auto-upload off? Also there should be a third setting to turn (data upload only) on. Apart from these issues I think it is an excellent app.

  88. Sean Gordon-avatar

Super reliable and easy way to store files in the cloud and on my hard drive.

It's very easy to store from phone or computer then share a link for large files or email them. This has been a life saver.

Nice common & secured place to keep my files. I can access all my files wherever I go and update.

I just love how I'm able to access the stuff I save from my laptop that's constantly syncing with one drive here on the app. At times that I don't take my laptop to school i find myself needing something from it and all I do is just log into the app and there it is. Also love how I can access the screenshots I take on my laptop using print screen on my phone as well thru this app. All this time I've been missing out lol why didn't I think of using it sooner 😅

Great app. I have been using One Drive for about 6 years. In the last 18 months I have had to monitor One Drive very closely as every 3 days or so it decides to dump a ton of my files into the recycle bin. So I have to restore all the files and be very careful whenever I empty the recycle been. I lost some pretty important files when this first started occurring. I used to trust the program 100%, but ever since this started occurring I have been keeping my eyes out for a convienent time to move.

Files dont automatically sync between devices (laptop and mobile), have to do it manually. This is a huge limitation and massive hassle.

The app crashes whenever I try to upload anything. I click upload and it just stops. Kindly fix it. Thanks.

Mediocre because it takes a while to load some photo and videos and it syncs everything which is really annoying

I love this app. I can work on something on my laptop, save and upload it to OneDrive, open the file in OneDrive from my phone and continue work to work on it. And vice versa. This is a great way to be able to work while you're on the go. I haven't tried this feature yet, but you can share files too.

Whenever I try to update this app it never happens. Rest all the other apps gets updated but only this one stuck. Dont know why ??

Super easy to share, access from any device! Love it much more than Dropbox and especially Google drive (where permissions get qwirky).

Moved my personal files to the vault. The vault locked itself mid-transfer. Now I can't see my files because the app crashes as soon as I open it. I'm a paying customer, please advise.
