Application got really good. I've installed it because of a TK challenge but then I decided to buy world maps and use it for tour planning and navigation. I really like offline maps option and tour details. What I still missing is the option to have the screen on all the time. I don't understand why it's so much trouble to add this as an option for people who wants it on all the time? For this reason one star less.

A slight left can be 90°,and it doesn't always use a street name that you're turning onto, which can sometimes lead to confusion. I also had an issue with it sending me to a (toll) ferry station, when I had no money on me. A couple of other minor gripes (it is obsessed with saving every detail of every cycle, I often just want to get somewhere. I'd like an option to not save straight after you stop). But on the whole it provides good routes for cycling, and you can save them for offline use.

I downloaded the app and paid for it while I was in the middle of nowhere in the Black Forrest in Germany (I still had a cell signal!). The app is a super resource and I decided to purchase the worldwide maps to save having to purchase anything in the future. The overall performance was very good and I was taken down trails I don't think I'd have found with a map. The voice directions telling me to turn were very helpful. My GPS seems to be slightly off the Komoot data so a lot of times I was walking on the path but the program didn't recognize this--but I was still informed of turns I had to take. I don't know if the GPS problem is with my cell phone or the app, but since the turns were still given to me I don't have a problem with the function. I was unable to figure out how to get the map to turn in the direction I'm walking. The arrow that is by my position dot was helpful when I was trying to determine the way to walk, but I'd like to have the map turn the direction that I'm standing instead of always facing north (I assume). This may be user error/learning on my part, but the map rotating should be standard and shutting off the rotation should be the option. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase and the maps that are provided to use.

Last update is terrible. For openers, now when you click on the map, instead of making it full screen so you can assess the route, it takes you to the record a route menu. Hopefully they will fix this and return the previous functionality. Otherwise it's ok, a little clunky to force the route you want, but it works for the most part.

I love 90% of the Komoot app. There are just two things that need to be added for me to rate it over Strava. When you start a activity via a Garmin watch etc using the Komoot plugin, it doesn't initiate live tracking. Strava does do this, so it can be done. It's would also be brilliant to see some sort of heart rate stats 🙂

Installed Kamoot. Paid for Kamoot. Still cannot use Kamoot. Asked to choose payment option eack time I try and use Kamoot. Emailed Kamoot but no response. Unable to contact Kamoot to fix their app so it works. The link given below indicates this is a common problem, where payment is made via Google/Playstore but Kamoot still does not work, and suggests additional payment options. Very frustrating as my holiday is nearly over and I have not been able to use what looks like an excellent hiking App

Unfortunately the programmers and product managers seem to be uncapable of understanding what a MAP is. You have no way to freely rotate, indeed as soon as you slightly move the map, it FORCES itself to the North and then again you cannot turn it (like any other map app I know can do). It is an absolute most fundamental feature of any map, even paper based ones, to be able to ROTATE it. There are myriads of reasons of why you would want to do that, be it DURING a trip to look ahead or change your route on the fly or simply to orientate yourself on the bigger scale. For over two years I have contacted the support and even the CEO/founder, yet it is unfathomable that this simple to implement feature is being actively suppressed to worsen the customer experience. Indeed no problem understanding from anybody at Komoot is visible. The right example how to fail at product design, UI interface development, customer orientation and support. I cannot recommend it!

Really great app, works "straight from the box" and it allows me to go on solo hikes without the hassle of checking a map every few minutes. It also reports my location to a friend when it set it to do that. Love it!

Great development from its early times. Integration with recent Garmin devices works fine. Routes planned in komoot can be directly started on my Fenix. Sport specific maps and insurance (although never used yet) also make the monthly subscription viable.

It took me a while to work out the best way to plan a round trip. Leave it set to one way and plot your way points until you are very close to completing your plan. At this point, adjust the route to round trip and it will close the loop. Now I've sorted that out. I think it's an excellent app.
