  1. Kendall Grasty-avatar

Since strava has changed to not allow a direct device connection this app has become useless. Twice now the app has said I have ridden a bicycle over 100mph. The first wrong speed was 229.3 mph. The GPS has taken a turn for the worse also. I went on an 8 mile bike ride with the family and strava said we went 30 miles. I like for my data to be right since I'm paying for it. Customer service had better get in contact with me to sort this out or I'm stopping payment.

  2. Gene Bur-avatar

The app is great for the most part. There is still the occasional inconvenience whereby if I read the details of someone's workout then go back to viewing the workouts of the peeps I follow, the app will scroll to the most recent addition. So imagine having scrolled through 10-20 people, examined a workout then having to start again from the top. It's quite the pain.

Works pretty good. I enjoy a out of features, like automatically linking you with people you're running with. The GPS seems to work fine and there's a decent amount of analysis of you're into that. That said, there still seem to me a lot of bugs. When I you to share runs it'll often say I did but nothing will happen. Sometimes I'll upload a picture to a run and it won't be there, I'll do it again and then there's two. I'd still say it's one of the best running apps are there.

  4. chris paul-avatar

Android iu doesn't seem to get much love. 1 example: As an unregistered user it shows your average speed for a trip. As a registered user it shows your current speed. If you decided you like the average speed, to bad. You have to end your membership to go back. They couldn't just give us the option?

  5. Mateusz Duchnowski-avatar

Recently started to crash every time after few minutes of recording. The option "Allow Location access all the time" has disappeared, now it's only "Allow location access when using this app" which makes it sux if I want to take photo or anything. Previously everything was perfect, good track, worked great in the background.

  6. James Dilger-avatar

One of the most frustrating apps I have ever had the misfortune of trying to use. Tried to connect to Garmin, after 2 days and 3 activities, and a lot of logging out and back in, I have no idea if I'm still getting summit or not and have no way to renew subscription. Supposedly I'm still on free trial, but if that's all I get this app is worthless and I'll stick with stock apps

  7. Courtney Ross-avatar

They still charged me after I cancelled my subscription. I never used this thing so I cancelled my subscription more than a week ago. I hit "cancel my subscription" , was logged out and received an email that said I had cancelled. Then just last night I receive a $60 charge from Strava and an overdraft fee from my bank. The customer support is awful. You can't talk to a human and the process is a labyrinth of vague questioning.

  8. Marcel Rieker-avatar

Strava is one of my most used apps. I track everything - mountainbiking, hiking, kayaking, snowboarding etc. You can easily see what you have achieved. There are statistics that sums up your efforta for riding a bicycle, running and swimming. The only thing I miss is a summary for hiking since I do this a lot. However, the most tempting thing about the app are thr segment. E.g. a trail is marked where a ranking takes place for everyone riding down that trail.

  9. J. B.-avatar

My last 5 workouts have all had data problems. This seems to be a regular thing. What's the deal? Also, if the basic stuff, i.e. accurately tracking and recording my location and pace doesn't work, why in God's sweet name would i pay for Summit? Do I have to pay to have the app function correctly? Why even offer a free version if so?

  10. Felix Perez-avatar

Great but Limited. And the ZOOM IN function to the mapbox is absolutely TERRIBLE and ANNOYING!!! Get did of that. Too much and takes too long to zoom into your segment. You cannot report wrong time(s) using the app. Too many false claims on segments and the app does not allow users to report erroneous times.

Loved this app, a week ago it stopped recording my runs properly (missing chunks out) so i updated, since the new update its so far out on tracking its laughable. Just got back from a 5k local run and it thinks I've done 30k so have had to discard it. Hope tjry update again soon to fix the mess they've made of this update oherwise i will be hunting out a new, more reliable app

  12. Chris Nixon-avatar

Strava is a pretty good app though seems to have a few bugs at the moment. Worst of all though is the support, there just isn't any. I like using Strava to check my runs and would love to give five stars but the problems my wife and I are having with the app they're lucky to get two stars. This review has now gone to one star and I wouldn't give that to be honest. Downloaded an update and still the same problems. I'm not paying for the premium app if they can't get the basic app right

  13. Richard Davis-avatar

Overall, this is the best activity tracker that I have seen, especially for cycling. The only downside is the occasional crash when recording via cellphone. The interface is clear and intuitive and the social aspects bring a community of interested and interesting people together around activities that we all enjoy. Now go out, and do something awesome.

The app has worked well in the past, however lately it seems buggy. For example it does not record a complete walk, only part of it. I have also noticed it is having trouble mapping my walks. For example it has me walking on freeways, cutting through people's yards half way in a block to get from one street to the other.

  15. Dennis Moore-avatar

This app has all the features that I wanted. The interface is excellent. Unfortunately, the GPS feature is atrocious. I went for a walk yesterday that I know to be exactly 4 miles and it reported it to be 5.12 miles. Worse, it showed that I was walked across a lake and zig zagged over wooded areas which I had not done. Without accurate GPS and tracking, this app is useless. Should an update correct this issue, I would gladly recommend it. I am using this on a Droid Moto z.

  16. Mrs MDLC-avatar

The last couple of months I can't track any activities. It has me zig zagging like I have used a ruler to plot my runs and bike rides. Doesn't track where I actually run and misses complete sections out. Have researched why but can't work it out. Even uninstalling and reactivating didn't work. Come in Strava please fix this!

  17. Ronen Peled-avatar

Poor app. Despite multiple requests to arrange workout days start from Sunday to Saturday, nothing from strava. There is no option to determine the shoes I ran with, per running (from the application). There is no option to change the running distance (km). It is necessary when you run ist the gym on a treadmill. The treadmill and the running watch (Suunto) aren't synchronized at the end.

  18. Andrew McQuillen-avatar

    Andrew McQuillen

The app is good, but the new "Routes" feature is awful if you're a trail runner. The suggested routes almost always use roads and doesn't have an option to stick to trail. Additionally, the map it uses has incomplete data and omits entire trails or sections of trails, so it's often impossible to build your own route. Trail Forks is very tedious to use for route planning, but still better than this.

  19. Blake Clayton-avatar

I like strava for mountain bike ride tracking and segment exploring but it's use as a detailed finess app is extremely lacking. Removing the ability to directly connect Heart Rate monitors was horrible. I have now been trying Summit and cannot see any use in its features. You cannot even view heart rate data on the app, instead you're left with some crazy fitness score and relative effort that Strava has logarithmed to death. Where is the real data??? Will likely be canceling Summit soon.

  20. Garth Cox-avatar

The latest update appears to have made the app flaky. I lost access to summit for several days despite having a valid subscription. It came back eventually after reinstalling the app but not right away. It also at times gives ridiculously high or low scores for runs which makes judging training effort more difficult. Training Peaks scores based on the same data were more consistent so it is definitely down to Strava. I would have given the previous version 5 stars so this is disappointing.

  21. Steve Gravel-avatar

In one move, this app went from an elegant, indispensable solution to a hot mess I'm looking to replace. Never had any of the supposed sensor instability problems, but now that support for sensors has been dropped, I can say with certainty the importing rides from other apps into Strava is terrible. My wahoo app doesn't track location well, and I'd have to record with it AND Strava to use the beacon feature I pay Strava for every month. To top it off, Strava has taken to truncating my rides.

  22. Al Hyland-avatar

Was great but, on my phone at least, now useless except to log that you did a run. I'm leaving this review in the vain hope that someone at Strava might be reading. Every run lately has huge anomalous readings that, it seems would be fixable with v simple Boolean gates, like IF (data point difference) > x (say average of data point differences + some for rest of run) THEN kill data point. At least to have an option to do this would make it usable again. Til then I'm looking for a new app.

  23. Eirik Rosvold Larsen-avatar

    Eirik Rosvold Larsen

I did two runs with Strava before uninstalling. The first run had slightly worse position accuracy than Google Fit, so much that the distance on the same run came up 2-3% off. Annoying, but not enough to uninstall. On the second run the positioning had a severe glitch which made the measurements for the whole run worthless, the glitch made the run 6.1 km instead of 5 km. From a position-based training diary perspective, i consider Strava useless. Correct positioning is alpha and omega for such an app - still failing on this on a modern phone after so many years in the market is simply not acceptable.

  24. Greg King-avatar

The Strava app offers good tracking of activity and a nice way to connect with community around your training. However as a nordic skier, I can track my individual skis, but that is all. Because nordic is not one of the three core sports (bike, run, swim), the platform does not include any of these activities in my profile. It also does not track totals or allow me to set goals because nordic is not a core sport. Unfortunate given the other functionality.

  25. Paul Major-avatar

I've lost the option to select the kind of workout I want to record. My option is stuck on Alpine ski and if an option exists to change back to doing a ride you've done a great job of hiding it. Finally figured it out. The icon for skiing is two crossed skis. - sure looks like an X without my glasses.

  26. Sean Kos-avatar

Really poor outcome trying to upload previous MTB activities and use them as routes .... appears Strava only works for high-use activities or is more complex. I tried saving GPX, and other file formats and direct activity loads.... Strava if you plan to charge user than the features MUST work. Cancelled my subscrption on day 2!

  27. Inkid Loke-avatar

Great running apps but the running audio cue is way too soft, no way I can listen while running with my android although I already max the vol from my device. When I start record my run with my android, there are no option where I can change the display to view current pace where the default only show AVG pace and lastly I can't disable the auto lock screen. Meaning I can't hear and view how many km it mileage I had run when using STRAVA.

  28. Ryan Simmons-avatar

Been using map my ride. Was suggested Strava and crashes everytime I start recording. OnePlus 6. Update: I've found a workaround by "locking" the app open. It works great now with just a few glitches in gps readings which could be my phone and are likely with any tracking app.

  29. Samantha Moore-avatar

The first 3 activities I was able to sync perfectly fine but now it will not allow me to sync the data after I finish. I keep going to unsynced activities and pressing sync but it will not load. Why is this, is there anything I can do to fix it?

  30. Bruce Chamberlin-avatar

    Bruce Chamberlin

Works well. Easy to use and is accurate*. The data fields aren't as flexible as my Garmin Edge though. (My Garmin broke) * One time and only one time Strava showed my location jump a mile or so out and back. My Garmin used to do that occasionally.

  31. Anunay Gupta-avatar

Loved this app, updated it yesterday and it has gone mad. Cut short my run from 6km to 5km.. thus decreasing my speed too. Same route same number of rounds but the distance is off by a great margin. Can attach a photo to show how badly it tracked the same distance

  32. Jonathan Green-avatar

It's good but still a work in progress. I used Strava a long time ago but switched to better ones with more user friendly interfaces , but sorry still not caught up. Maybe the paid version is better don't know.

  33. Cris Uy-avatar

Been using this app for more than a year now with my Samsung Galaxy Watch and I love it! It is so simple to use. The Strava app in my watch sync perfectly with my phone. And therefore, I can run without my bulky mobile phone.

  34. Kalaish Stanley-avatar

    Kalaish Stanley

Great overall app for tracking and sharing exercise BUT... We need a feature to customise the dashboard. 99% of users would rather have pace on the dashboard instead of elevation. People have been asking for this feature for ages. Please listen.

  35. lenakristina-avatar

A good app, but since my third use of the recording future there are a lot of bugs. My route of 4 miles is now a route of 7 miles. It tells me, that I'm running 3 times threw a field but that isn't right. Please fix that !!

  36. Katherine Sorani-avatar

    Katherine Sorani

I love using Strava on my phone to track runs, rides and kayak adventures. It works so well I'd be keen to get a watch and head phones connected to have control and info provided through out my activities as reaching for the phone each time is a bother.

  37. Paul Devlin-avatar

Strava helps with tracking my fitness for the Ironman events ,and to look back over the years on comparing my progress from year to year . And the famous saying is if it not on Strava you did not do it . Thanks Strava I love the platform .

  38. Steve A-avatar

I love using the app. However, I paid for all three membership packs only to find out that some of the features such as Beacon are only supported on Garmin. Renewed my membership and now I can't log into the app as it's unable to verify my account. 🤬

  39. Rommel Bascon-avatar

A very user-friendly sports activity monitoring application. My triathlete-daughter constantly uses the app during her practice & during competition. It also affords us to view the sports activities done by Strava-connected friends. Kudos to the Strava team!

  40. Ian Henson-avatar

I have created an online account and downloaded the app but cannot login on app as all it says is there's an error veryfying your account data. At last, I can log in. Until I have used it for a while, will not give a proper review.

  41. frederic eeckman-avatar

    frederic eeckman

Don't even try summit. I wanted to try and it didn't fulfill my expectations. I cancelled it before the end of the trial. And now EVERY DAY they try to rqke 59 euros from my credit card, I actually canceled the subscriptions 5 times already and it still not fixed !!! FIX IT ! And the app is not interesting anymore for me, the main thing was for me to keep a check on my heart rate...

  42. Lee Morgan-avatar

Good app and great fun for the social interaction and segments. I love meeting people during events and then keeping in contact with them via this app. I only use the free version as I use Garmin connect for my actual data analysis.

  43. A Google user-avatar

Okay app, but it has suddenly started recording my rides as an "e-bike" no idea why, and response from Strava was useless! Why, why has it started and just tell me how to stop it, simply just tell me how to stop it!

  44. Jonny Chaos-avatar

Randomly stopped working on my longest run. Didn't track anything. I'm off back to runkeeper. At least that gives you estimated calories and tells you how long you've been running at intervals.

  45. Jelle Who-avatar

Can we please get a option for 'auto stop after x minutes' or 'stop at these places' or 'stop when not moving for y minutes' or something? (the last one is kinda there, but doesn't really work well and it not changeable)

  46. Bill Sullivan-avatar

I've kept a workout journal since 1987. This is that on steroids. It's pretty cool to see how you stand up against other people in segments of your ride. I highly recommend it. My original journals have gotten wet and destroyed. This is perpetuity.

  47. Zoe Lark-avatar

It works well, if i dont put my phone in my pocket. If i put my phone in my pocket, for even a minute, the tracking and milage messes up and dosen't function correctly

  48. Andrew Hintermeier-avatar

    Andrew Hintermeier

Errors out on 50% of my rides and doesn't record anything. Only find out halfway through my ride when I stop to check my phone. I've tried toying with my phone settings and Strava settings but it doesn't seem to help

  49. Boneless Bob-avatar

The app doesn't work. Whenever i begin a session it registers everything, but when i finish it disappears. It even says "0 workouts this month". It only worked the first time. I'll switch to endomondo or runkeeper

  50. Kelly Parsons-avatar

Using this app to track walking for online PE class. Started fine in Jan, but for the past few weeks the app hasn't been tracking me correctly. This week I might not get my hours in at all thanks to this issue.

  51. Tova Y.-avatar

Started out as a runner, lost 80% right knee cartilage so now I walk. This app has no challenges for me. Completed a 4hr walk and only granted it as 3:56 for moving, even though I walked very slow. Wasted effort.

  52. Frank Lombardo-avatar

I can't get the app to track my walking activity. It either shuts down or tracks a phantom distance on a point somewhere completely off my track. For all practical purposes this app is useless to me.

  53. John Kevan-avatar

Overall it's a pretty good app. There are some well known issues, done of which are around segments, hopefully the new update fixes some of these issues.

  54. Anna Joy Thompson-avatar

    Anna Joy Thompson

Sometimes tracking gets really messed up, and I wish there was a way to fix it... like I know I didn't run a mile in 23 seconds. But giving 5 stars because it's a great app :)

  55. Jordan Chapman-avatar

Good as long as you manually finish recording which can be easy to forget! Samsung Health offers a lot more if you already have a Samsung phone. If not give this app a spin.

  56. Morgan Vaughn-avatar

Was good, but is very suddenly buggy and does not correctly track routes. I had a 113.1 top speed listed on one bike ride . . . So there's that. Will be using another app until this gets fixed.

  57. Christopher Drabik-avatar

    Christopher Drabik

I spent about 30-45 minutes creating a personalized biking/training route but can't sort out how to get my computer version of Strava to sync with my mobile version of the device. This should be easier.

  58. John Monaghan-avatar

Excellent app to keep you motivated esp when you can see what all your buddies are at. Pushes you on. Instantaneous sync to other sporting accessories once you stop your session. Thankfully never any issues.

  59. Ivan Vujica-avatar

Great app even without the premium. But I can see myself upgrading to premium as I get more involved with my sport. Lots of detail to use to assist with improving my PB. Thanks

  60. tyler christiansen-avatar

    tyler christiansen

I believe the GPS tracking works better in this app than it does in other apps. My imagination tells me it's due to the fact that this app has more support and is up to date or frequently

  61. Carl Hawkins-avatar

Good for recording in great detail. But recording your rides doesn't make you fitter. Also it compells you to race the clock every time you ride. Not a good way to train.

  62. Julie Payne-avatar

Using Strava to log distances for a personal challenge. I just use the free version which does enough for me. I can't set routes or time challenges but could if I paid to upgrade.

  63. Dave Scott-avatar

Great idea, and fun to track activites and segments, but clunky, buggy, and consistently poor user experience. Service desk is useless to the point of rudeness and why is the elevation so inaccurate?

  64. Travis Floyd-avatar

The app is really lack luster. It doesn't provide anything extra or unique that my other fitness app provides. I used it now for over a month and find myself opening less and less.

  65. Charlie Cutcliffe-avatar

    Charlie Cutcliffe

Compete with your pals or compare yourself to similarly weighted riders for free, use it for all my rides now to track where I've been whilst on a jaunt. Nice to know how fast what feels like zooming really is

I wish Strava didn't take away the ability to link to heart rate monitors and power meters. How is it possible they could not figure out that technology?

  67. Gerard Garcia-avatar

Garmin tells me everything I need to know when I'm riding my bike. I can't wait to get a power meter and pair to my Garmin 830. I can't imagine riding without it.

Unfortunately this app does not sync time with distance for running. Most disappointing is there doesn't seem to be any support I can contact - I have tried - no response.

Great service let down by poor app. It frequently loses my login session and more recently it's left me unable to log in with my credentials at all. Exact same login works fine on the website though 🤔

Such a cool motivational, social workout tracker! Great interface and sick stats, love it. I also like that I can add a picture to my event so I can remember them better.

Recent version (as of 2020 March 17) has a really annoying bug: if Strava is put in the background while recording it just crashes and consequently you loose your data.

Waiting on the 5 star, jus joined summit and will see how that does. The only bad thing I've gotten is when strava doesn't track all my segments, but it could be my GPS?

I haven't even approved to be a member and Google deducted the membership fees. Now I want to cancel the membership but every time I try it. The app refuses and just open play store without any effect action.

Absolutely amazing software, keep myself and my friends motivated and on our toes. Either running , cycling or swimming , absolutely spot on software by sharing all critical details needed for improvement.

The GPS tracking is so off. It doesn't track my path accurately at all! And every time I try to log in it says there was an error verifying my account data

  76. Rob Holguin-avatar

Every time I use this app it cuts off part of my recording significantly. I use an android phone and an android watch. Would not recommend it for accurate data collection

Love the app! But the running cue audio is too soft. You need absolute silence around you to hear, any traffic close by you can't hear anything.

What has happened? Strava just gave me no option to save my run. It logged it fine, just would not save, no button to save after adding description. This used to be fine.

Best app I've ever used for tracking my cycling and running. love the accuracy of it and all of the wonderful data too that it gives you.

Almost everybody use it. Sometimes it glitches and draws a straight line, but it's very rare to happen at least in my phone.

The app was perfect until the most recent update, the gps is disconnecting and reconnecting randomly. I ran a 5 km circuit it now shows it 1.8km. Please fix it!

This app is very good. But i found it not really accurate in some smartphone with bad gps. I try it again on my other phone with better gps, it worked really well.

Cancelled my subscription prior to the ending date, but they still took out the money for another year. I'm 68 with COPD. THEY HAVE NO REFUNDS. WHAT A RIP-OFF!

  84. Colin Mills-avatar

A great ap. It even let's me upload rides from my cyclo which is unable to be registered to auto upload. I can also make routes and copy them back to the cyclo. Thanks Strava!

Awesome app but the maps are wierd. Analysis are all over the place. The ios app is way better. Please fix these bugs or whatever they are.

Definitely a great app for running. I want to be able to lock the app in map mode and maybe allow some customization to place some stats over the map.

  87. KEITH LLAMA-avatar

If you want to be able to track your running cycling swimming stuff. Simple, amazing, ane easy to use.

  88. Joshua Royte-avatar

Works great 60% of the time for me and then the other 40% of the time it drops my ride because of some glitch probably on my phone..

Great app. If possible one feature. To show cyclist that is drive in the same route, so we will know if have someone to drive with. Good feature Strava ?

Strava is simple app to understand. It has everything which is necessary for tracking and analyzing your training.

  93. Mark Lavin-avatar

Overall, gets the job done but it is still missing many features runners have been requesting for for years.

  94. Ludo Zz-avatar

App as such is ok, the used maps are however terrible. No trails, or hiking tracks highlighted. It's unusable to see which trails were used by the user.

Start recording - Strava does the rest. I like the auto-pause, the photos and the connections to other bikers to find new routes.

Latest update keeps saying Strava restored from a problem, but isn't recording and saving my rides!! Partner hasn't updated for a while and no issues!

Wasn't able to sync my ride with Wahoo app since 20th March 2020. Had this app un-installed and re-installed with no luck. Wahoo app syncs fine with my head unit.
