Too focused on running and cycling. There are virtually no statistics for all other activities you can track with the app. There's no way to view the total distance walked, only when you track the activity as 'running'. As an avid walker, that makes this app next to worthless to me. Still 3 stars because the statistics for individual activities are nice. Just wish you could have an overview of every single activity, not just running and walking.

Everything about this app is great but, I wish I can see the "Best Efforts" as a separate option where I can see all my records such as Fastest 2miles, fastest 5K, 10K etc under 1 section. Edit: Fix the issue where my Samsung Fit for Galaxy watch says the run is 45mins but after Strava sync it shows 35 mins! This isn't what I expected from an official Strava supported smart watch. Just copy & paste the watch data because strava app for watch is totally bad. Most people don't use that.

New version doesn't allow you to compare times with others from that day or any other day, unless you subscribe. Waste of time now, I might as well use a timing app. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST DECISION STRAVA, dreadful decision. And it's getting worse FFS! Top speed of 86.9km when the graph clearly shows the more realistic 36km. People actually pay for this shite?

For the umpteenth time in the past month, this app has afforded me superpowers. Without even realizing, I am able to run across large bodies of water in mere seconds! Incredible! I get that this is an issue with pinging off google maps, but at least give me the option to edit my run and cut out parts that are, quite literally, impossible.

Price change from $23.99 to $59.99 a year. The only paid for feature I had was the beacon tracking so when I was out on a trail I could send my location to someone incase of an emergency. I am not a heavy user and will be looking for another app. No thanks Strava, you can keep your app to yourself with a price hike like that. Especially when $59.99 a year doesnt even cover everything.

There's something wrong with this app, today I tried to compare it with another app but unfortunately it stopped working in between my workout and when I was about to finish my workout the display just lit up and a message popped up showing that the app is facing some problems and will resume the workout recording shortly. This happened more than twice and everytime it records only half of my total workout.

Was really enjoying this app until recently. Losing my ride three times in a week is b.s! Wanting to be consistent with how I use the app and knowing there are gaping holes in my information makes it frustrating to engage with. If I were paying for the full version and still experiencing these set backs I'd be far more pissed off.

Once free features, which made this app great and were frequently used, are now behind paywall. (Segment comparisons with friends, daily leaderboard ranks, etc.) This just happened. Not even 25% of my buddies will start paying $5/mo - it's a lot for very little. So now it makes it useless for all of us as a community tool. If my functional friend group goes from 15 to 3, how is that worth paying even if I was willing? This is poorly thought out.

The app is really good and functions well for the most part The problem is if you don't click finish on your run or something happens to where your watch dies or something similar they don't constantly track so you lose all your information. I've had multiple runs including my first marathon that I was trying to track and an outside problem caused the app to die and so I lost everything.

It's pretty good, but leaves a lot to be desired. The mobile app measures distance on runs to the tenth and not the hundredth. Segments seem to be an afterthought now as there's no automatic flagging of efforts that are clearly impossible. Just seems like they don't really listen to user feedback. The best thing it has going for it is a high install base.

A pair of years ago this app was phenomenal. Lately as I have started riding again, it has been frustrating to use the app. Every time I make a quick stop, I check my progress and my stats. Once I continue and end, my ride is never recorded. Very frustrating when you are trying to track your fitness activity. This app has me searching for a cycling computer or app relative to a computer that would work well and track all rides efficiently.

This app has motivated me, kept me a accountable and competitive and in touch with some distant friends and kept me rolling (cyclist). I love reviewing my rides after I'm done and making my own segments in my neighborhood (subscriber). For bicycle touring, I use Komoot (sorry! Still 5 stars). A must have for tracking progress at any skill level.

This fitness tracking app is so popular for multiple reasons. It really helps motivate you to reach your fitness goals and if you're the segment PB chasing type, you'll find yourself pushing yourself to higher limits. It is also great for checking out and supporting your fellow athletes' efforts. Like almost any app, it is certainly not without flaws. Developer response to user recommendations on feature forums is for the large part non-existent (that is the main reason I didn't give 5stars).

It's insane to me that this app doesn't give walking stats and totals like you would expect. Only run, ride, and swim. Some of us hike more than we swim and that data should absolutely be available on a fitness tracking app. They have known about this for a long time and people have been requesting it for years. I took 1 star off for not having it and another one for not having added it yet.

There's a big that turns off GPS in power saving mode, not sure if that's Strava or Android, but easy enough to fix. Over all it's good, but I don't need all the features in the premium version. Local leader boards seem a bit abused (who can run 400m in 10 seconds?!). I'd be interested in a 'lite' version if you ever make one. thanks 👍

I love the concept of this app, and it's great that I can link with friends and thier activities! But this app has some serious bugs. The data recorded is ALL WRONG, I did a hike with a friend the other day, at the end we both had completely different stats on time/elevation & distance! It makes no sense. And I find the time recorded is always wrong, on a 7h30 hike, it says I was only out the for 2h41!? And after a 2h41, it says only 1h11 Not impressed after everyone suggested Strava to me

Strava used to be a great app, however recently its been absolute garbage, full of bugs and has lost more activities than it's recorded - across multiple devices. On top of this they're now asking a premium price for any useful features, along with a bunch most people will never use, all while rapidly going downhill. Very glad I'm not paying for this.

Since the latest update the app starts recording, crashes, then completes the recording the following day. For example, my 4 mile walk yesterday was recorded as 45 miles over a 25 hour period. I suspect it will do the same with the walk I have just finished today. I'm glad I'm using the free version as I certainly wouldn't want to pay for that.

Disappointed. This app was my go to for tracking walks and runs. I got a Samsung active watch and Strava worked great until about a month ago. Now, may as well walk or run without tracking. Even the app on the phone doesn't show my route like it used to. Just a straight line showing starting and finishing point. When I do a track or circular route I just have a dot, like I didn't move at all.

I used the free app for a couple years and was really impressed with it. It is simple to use and feedback from my running friends helps me to get out there again. Every GPS run I recorded is saved and used to show how I compared between my current run and similar runs in the past. . The Premium service has lots of cool options. The coolest in my opinion is that it creates and displays a heat map of all my runs. That is awesome to see every place in the world that I have run!

One star. Super disappointed with this app at the moment. Have been using it for almost 5 years and in the last 6 months it's started failing miserably. Not recording runs start or finish time properly, time recoding either doesn't work or records wrong length of time, Route mapping failing so just showing straight line from start to finish instead of The actual route. I've stopped using it. Came here to see if it was just me and was saddened to see all the other reports of failure. Shame.

Generally a great app. Segments, leaderboards and routes are all worth the money. One thing I've noticed since a recent update is that if you view someone's ride and then go back to the main list, it always takes you back to the top. It would be great of it took you back to where you were before you viewed the ride of someone you're following. Keep up the good work!

Love it, it's a great app and I'm happy to pay for the premium subscription for the extaa features. I just wish the route mapping had more info (for example if your route goes by an motorway... I had a nasty surprise on a ride!), and maybe better ways to search for local routes for ideas of new ways to go.

Crucial for my training. I use the paid version and it's worth every penny. Let's me track my efforts and compare to previous workouts. Relative Effort is my favorite feature for training. Keeps me improving but also let's me know if I'm pushing my body too hard. Social aspect is fun too. You can see how you stack up against others and root your friends on. Also plenty of challenges to strive for to earn badges and sometimes discounts or swag.

OK, the app worked pretty well, has a nice hub and is really easy to use. Statistics and graphs are clear and even in the free version you can follow your progress and status (without tendencies but clear enough). This should be a 5 stars app for me if they wouldn't have erased a really nice function that the app had until a few days ago, and it was the "your ranking and quintil per segment", that was a really nice function that kept me trying to improve myself, compete and made my rides fun.

Why the elevation suddenly decrease? I do cycling on the same route. But, few month before, i'll got the elevation around 600+ m. But now, its only 200+ m on the same route. The GPS sometimes go crazy. Suddenly my maximum speed of cycling goes up to 110km/j. Other than that, this apps is good.

App navigation is a pain. Paying for subscription hardly adds value. They collect all this data and don't even propose a training plan. Also, the analysis you get after a run does not even tell a story. Just some graphs slapped on a screen. The community feature is neat but there is no real feed where you see community activity, therefore, basically obsolete.

Strava has been a massive motivator for me - perhaps a bit too much! I've taken up open water swimming and running as a result of using the app and seeing what other people are doing. It's made me really push my cycling too. The app itself works well and I think the subscription represents good value for money. I know a lot of people resent being asked to pay for stuff that was previously free but, really? It costs money to support this service and it is worth paying for.

USED to love this app. Now in the last 3 weeks gps/routes totally inaccurate. Ping to places I wasn't even at. Recordings very distorted. Have submitted problem reports, no response or improvement. Same phone for several years. No other changes. Disappointing that analysis no longer available or able to compare previous segments as had been for 5 years. Now a terrible version and they want to charge for it. Seems as even reviews of those paying are having problems.

Strava has always been my go to app for running and cycling, I've been a premium member for the past 3 years, but lately it's been a disaster for an app. I've been contacting the support centre for over a month due to an error between my mileage on my goals and the actual mileage I've done this year, I haven't yet got any solution for the past month and a half.

I have the full version. I use it for mountain biking. My 2 other friends use iPhones and our total ride distances and elevations are "similar". I use the Strava app 4 the Samsung Galaxy Watch, which adds my heart rate, so that's cool. Update: *I finally realized that I only needed to use my Galaxy Watch version of Strava. Once you hit the checkered flag icon, to end the ride, it immediately syncs to the Android app and shows up. The only question is, are there any discrepancies between the 2?

This app offers no real tracking. It is based on raw gps recording and the result is a messy path that not even Peter pan could have done it. It does not stop there. To see how inaccurate it is, place it on your desk and start recording for a few minutes. Stop it and it will get you 2 or three miles while not moving. It is worthy of the title of the crappiest tracker ever. Oh, the GPS problem is not device specific. On iPhone 11 Strava is scrappy too!

I haven't gotten much experience with this app since I just started using it(for school stuff). And I was informed not only by my teacher, but many google searches that there's supposed to be an option for Inline Skates? It seems like it doesn't exist though so Im a bit bummed about that. Seems like a decent enough app otherwise. May update once I have more experience with it.

Been using it for a while. It used to work. But this last year or so its become almost useless. Constantly disconnects from samsung s-health. Literally every run I have to tell it to reconnect. Never used to have to do that. And it now also screws up all my times. If you slow to anything less then like 100mph on your run it marks you as you being stopped. Thats an exaggeration but not much of one. It needs serious work on its data imports because they are never correct. Used to work. Not now.

Not sure if it is the GPS or the 4G signal in Lincolnshire that is not good enough for this app, but it doesn't work. It misses half the routes, the average speeds are always higher than the max speeds 🤔 and it completely blanked two of my activities at the saving stage (shows zeros everywhere). I got the free version to try it this week, before buying. I will not buy!

This is brilliant and I'd love to give it 5 stars but it just stops so many times. I'm on a walk and it's recording but when I finish the walk I check it and it's simply stopped. I shut the app down and when I restart it it say that it's recovered from a problem and then the distance is showing. It happens probably one in five times.

Woefully poor app technology, equally horrific support. Far more often than not, the app loses GPS location and ruins runs, it rarely completes an activity without this happening. Some days, it just can't find it's location at all. Strava support will not respond, ever, even to paying customers. If the app screws up and records your fastest mile as a freaking world record time, guess what you're stuck with it as it must be removed by support and they ignore customer support requests. 0/10

Overall very good app and idea, I wouldn't be running or cycling without it. Customer support is quite slow as I waited for 3 weeks for one issue to be resolved. Some features could be much better especially for those that are willing to pay £7 per month for subscription. Segments have been ruined by incorrect activities and the creators have made it very difficult to flag activities manually as you can only do it through web app and some athletes have 100s of incorrect activities.

Sync completed? Could have fooled me... App hasn't successfully synced (and sometimes not even recorded my exercise) for months. Always stay current on versioning. Your app literally has one job to do...and it can't even do that. The only thing it's good at is displaying an orange icon.

Distance and time recording inaccurate. My husband and I run together and the strava stats are almost always inconsistent. Even though it recognises we have run together, the app routinely gives me a slower time and shorter distance (usually by 600 meters) even though we have run the exact same route together, and I usually finish the loop first.I keep reporting this issue but Strava haven't done anything to fix it, and you can't manually edit distances or times when Strava has recorded them.

I love the the idea of the app and how the reports are useful and convent. But I used the app on galaxy watch active and there is a high chance of crashing in longer runs. So, I connected the service to s-health and try to record my runs. But the strange thing is, strava always records lower pace. When in Samsung my AVG pace is around 7, strava records 5, even though it fetched the data from s-health!

This has taken my rides to another level. Before Strava i was using the default fitness tracker on my phone, but the data was limited. Strava gives a lot more data, plus being able to track your segment times and compare yourself to other riders has been huge. This has taken the same boring rides i was doing and gave me a new level of motivation to constantly beat my personal bests. This summer alone ive got several KOM'S on my local routes. Every ride is like a friendly competition to improve.

It used to work well but since last update it's having a lot of problems with obtaining GPS signal. Every time I lock my phone it stops working until I unlock it again and the screen becomes active. Rather than tracking me wherever I go, it draws a straight line between two points as if it lost GPS signal completely.

Works perfectly, provides superb info, links without trouble to all my cycle computers and sensors and had great route building capability. Definitely my favourite app. My only point for improvement would be the lack of algorithm or sanity check relating to some sections time that are clearly wrong (ie a 100m section being completed in 3s by someone). You can report these, but there's no follow up email, or action - not sure which.

Strava: Where Freds meet to swap fish tales. 🤣 Seriously, what's not to like? It's a great social networking app for active folks. The freebie version has plenty of features. It's usually reliable, although I record to Wahoo Fitness, then upload to Strava. (Update October 2020: Heck, I like it well enough I finally sprung for the paid subscription this year. The extra features are good.)

Good at what it does, but terrible at what it doesn't do - collect data from sensors. Instead, you need to use third party apps or a bike computer to capture data and then sync to dumb Strava to display. I might as well use the third party apps to display as well.

Don't let jr devs push out code. Your latest update has destroyed my motivation to keep it. It says it's locked on GPS immediately now, which made me happy, but it doesn't actually start to register the signal until well over halfway through my runs now. It's a joke. It worked perfectly before this latest release. What are you doing? I'm demanding a refund for the subscription. I'm using the Galaxy watch active 2. Rollback this nonsense code please or fix asap.

Excellent fitness tracking and social app, with a large userbase, especially amongst cyclists. I think Strava need to focus on security and privacy more. For example, two-factor authentication and greater control over privacy of exercises and location tracking would be appreciated. It's amazing that Strava still doesn't do two-factor authentication.

Absolutely love this app. So much so I pay for the premium service... about £30-40 a year. I can track my runs in great detail. Helps me to improve my fitness with the knowledge of where to improve and how hard to train. Great app five stars everytime. P.s. I have been premium for about 5 years now. Never looked back.

Love this app!! Totally worth it to get the premium version. The fact that I can also go back and compare runs I did 4+ years ago.. And then of course the whole idea of 'segments' (comparing certain intervals of your run with anyone who have ever ran that route) is my highlight!

One of the few apps I am happy to pay premium for. The mobile app is great to keep track of your training and see what your friends are up to...but the web-only route planner with its heat map is an absolute killer feature in my book, worth paying for that alone.

Do not pay for this - just delete it. Since upgrading to paid version ive had numerous rides wrongly flagged/misgatagorise and Strava support do nothing to sort it. They do not reply to emails - no support at all. If you get a KOM you will be punished as the algorithms do not work and your ride will not stand. Cannot permanetly correct their mistake. Why should i cut out parts of my ride when i have ridden fast and got KOMs? Isnt that part of it? Useless, frustrating and terrible app.

Excellent app. I've used a number of apps for tracking running and fitness, but this has been the best in terms of logging activity, integration with my smart watch and community engagement. Love the segment and local legend functions as we as the monthly challenges for tracking fitness progression!

Fr: Application magnifique. Nous l'utilisons en classe de randonnée et vie active au cégep de Lévis afin de montrer notre progression à la professeure!! Pas besoin de lte, seulement la puce GPS du cellulaire est utilisée. Eng: A wonderful app for running and biking. We're using it in P.E class at school to show our teacher how we progress each week. I give it a 5 stars, no lte needed: it uses the GPS in your cellphone.

Been using this app for more than 3+ years. It was a good app first & I always used to recommend this to others. But recent updates/changes has made this app experience worse steadily. They're starting to put more and more features behind overpriced paywall, which made the experience more and more horrible. By all means, the app is good for recording your activities, it's popular as well, but the price, paywall and showing pop-ups for subscription everywhere is horrible.

It's my only Social Media and the one that matters! Use it for all my rides, it's helps me compete against myself (and others) which is great for me For Strava: Came to write a review after years of using, when I saw the new "set as highlight photo". Keep up the small improvements! How about giving option to miles descended rather than elevation gain for us downhill oriented riders, and showing your elevation gain/loss in the status screen of your ride in progress! Oh and adding videos/GIFs pls

I like this app, I use it track the activities I've done, challenges and use with friends etc! Continous new features are great, just more and more features are slowly finding themselves onto the paid summit part of the app which is annoying, but that is that. One feature that would be helpful would be able to search previous activities I've done into like a search bar, without having to stroll down loads to find it. PLEASE add this. Thanks Strava!🙂

Lack of support, even for paying members. Check strava support, featured discussions. Most posts are not even granted any answer. Or just scroll down reviews here and see how many replies they added... enough said. Strava about ok for bike run swimm only. Not other sports. Look at segments and other details. Recently, segments are all messed up. Getting more and more upset. Awaiting competitors to come up with something more decent.

Ive emailed them many times in the past three months for help with no response. They take your money and when things royally mess up, youre on your own. The gps has been pinging all over the place for months and the most recent problem is the beacon feature has been using my contact's data.So now its also costing my contacts money!!

I've used this app for about 5 years now. My runs are now off by a rediculous margin. Gps bouncing all over or drifting. And it isn't the phone. This is my 5th phone trying to get the App to work with Android. I've done all the troubleshooting tips and nothing works. The only thing I can't test is an older android OS version. Strava clearly doesn't work with newer Android phones.

Having to deauthorize and reauthorize Strava within the Wahoo app has gotten tiresome. I don't know if Strava or Wahoo are to blame and I could not care less. Figure it out! Of course, due to this repeated experience, I have no intention on buying a Strava subscription. If my activities are not going to show up in Strava, what is the point of buying the premium services?

I used to really enjoy using this app until an update in the spring 2020 which made the GPS tracking unreliable. It would draw straight lines throughout my route, which would in turn save my progress at times far longer than it actually took me to finish. After using this for 4 years, I had to uninstall.

Motivational when combined with smart device like Garmin Edge 530. I really like seeing segment goals on screen while en route. Even better is the option to change your segment goal while riding- KOM, PR, fastest friend ahead of you, etc. The flawless integration with Garmin devices and mobile phone is superb. Accident Notification, which will automatically send a SOS if it detects you were involved in a crash is nice piece of mind. That may be computer not Strava.

4 runs out of 5 are not registered correctly! Most commonly, the app register straight lines instead of following my routes and during my last run STRAVA recorded only the last 200mt out of probably 5-6km... Not sure I'm going to use it again if I can't keep a real and correct track of what I'm doing....

Extremely unclear pricing, even with new unified pricing. In Ap ad: "This deal ends Sunday. It's the last few days to try the best of Strava free for 60 days." Click ad Pay screen: $79.98 annually (36% off) / $9.99 monthly. Select monthly Google Play details / complete Check Strava Profile Settings: "Auto renewing subscription: Summit through 2020-07-20" Wheres the free 60 days? Only with annual? Then the 36% discount doesn't make sense, or the ad is misleading.

The platform is good, app is meh. I'd prefer if the app offered all of the features available on the website. Being able to flag illegal rides from the app would be especially nice. Also, the GPS tracking function of the app is terrible. They should restrict KOM rankings to those who use real GPS units rather than error-prone phones running the app.

Pretty good app for tracking and sharing activities... BUT what is super annoying is if you forget to end your session and you accidentally include a ride in a car, you then get a CR for a ridiculously quick time and there's nothing you can do about it! Ruins the fun for everyone as then nobody can ever beat it. It would be great if the creators could make the start and end point editable along the route (so you can correct) and for CRs to be flaggable by other users where they seem unrealistic

Great app , really good, been using it for 4 months now . Great to see friends or other athletes doing there stuff and also good for inspiration from watching other do there stuff and brings a togetherness feel about . GPS tracking by phone depends on phone GPS quality; sometimes waiting in one place without moving is enough to let GPS stabilize. Yet, app is quick to show notifications and interactions re: friends. Paid version: App is robust. Syncing with servers gives significant amounts of various analyses. I'd like to see access to tables of comparisons of segments per my activity history (at least for cycling).

Latest update broke the app. They made it premium, all free stuff is useless now. Me, as premium member, have the following features: - delays in activity upload. - broken segment leaderboard - strange map with different languages for titles on it, that replace each other depending on zoom, sometimes it just unreadable. - route creator that takes me to prohibited military zone against the law. Great changes Strava

Was a decent app but trying to force people to pay for the app by taking away features instead of adding them is ridiculous. Bad business won't fix a bad business. Looking to upgrade to a different app which is worth paying for. Also, for literally YEARS people have been asking for a way to take back or remove kudos accidentally given (google it) and Strava has done nothing another sign that they are in it more for themselves than the community.

It's a little annoying that the app lacks much of the functionality of the Strava web page. It would be good if things like adding new gear could be via the app. Otherwise, the app works fine for my activities. Racing PBs on segments gives more purpose to some evening runs.

There is alot to this ap. The actual recording of activities is great mapping is accurate etc. Ive connected using garmin, my wife uses a Samsung watch very easy to connect. Love the parternships and events giving reards and discounts trophies etc. My wife loves life beacon on the way and the kids find it intriguing.... only negative some of the data displays are simplified on the mobile app. But you can log on to desk top version where this alot more visibility of data.

Great for tracking rides, etc but when they took out BLE pairing that was an utter fail. You are either in or you are out. They are bringing it back now apparently so we'll see. If it doesn't work time to switch to something else.

Premium member coming from ios. Why is the app so slow to load on android? I have a 15mbps connection and the activities page takes over a minute to load. The same page leads instantly on my mobile browser so it cannot be the internet. I think the app needs a lot of optimisation.

The app itself is not bad but if you are a Samsung user and/or have a Samsung watch you'll run into issues. Anything workout based on GPS/distance seems fine and will auto upload from Samsung Health to Strava, but do circuit training and you can forget about it. Been an issue for a while and no one seems to care to fix it.

Loads of problems, hang ups and mismaches. I want to stay registered but the app must be up to the asking. Sync issues - blame the partners intergration (whether is Samsung, Apple, android) but never stravas fault. Gps inaccuracy - again blame everything else rather than the app itself.

Its a great and handy app, my only gripe is that some stats on the web browser aren't translated over to app, then when you try to open strava in a mobile browser to see these stats it constantly tries to redirect you back to to app. Other than that I love it!

Good exercise based social media app. Good info that helps improve yourself and performance. The big negative is that to be able to use some functionality you have to run a 3rd party app side by side!! All because they cant sort out the bluetooth connectivity!!

The Strava phone app works well and I would recommend it . I miss being able to purchase the services individually. The ability for the phone app to access sensor data on Samsung Galaxy watch should be added. The Galaxy watch app is working most of the time now but still occasionally crashes in the middle of a run.

Strava is AMAZING for those who are out and active or just active! I use this for cycling and dont need a garmin or something else to track your stats all in the app, obviously theres the subscription which unlocks the entire app, but I use this for my rides and commutes and I dont think its needed for most, this being a free app works fine the way it is. My only complaint is sometimes using the gps on phone can screw up speeds and distance showing how the phone/app gps is a little glitchy.

Slowly dying by the looks of it...shame because it's easy to use most of the time and the social element of posting your activities is a bit of extra motivation but the app profile still only focuses on running, cycling and swimming. Stats need refreshing on the web version to update in the app most of the time and strava is now really lagging behind on what it offers route map route wise compared to other free apps. Wouldn't take much to bring it up to scratch but strava aren't interested

Strava takes your money after the free trial early so if you set a timer to warn yourself to cancel free subscription, do it a day earlier. Also they have a clause in their terms and agreements that prevents you from getting a refund when you cancel said subscription. Garbage!

The ONLY fitness social media you need. This app has everything and the best feature isn't even a feature, it's just the people who use it. Great great community that have kept me motivated every week. I wouldn't have pushed myself anywhere near the amount I have after getting this app. 10/10

Free version has very few features. Paid for version is far too expensive. £48 per year paid grudgingly. Works out at 50p a ride. Not good value when compared to the likes of OS maps etc. Will strongly reconsider when it's time to renew.

This app changed my life. Over 2 years later and I still love this app. ( even after it dipped into my wallet) The tools are very useful and it keeps me driven. Most reviews I see bashing this app are a joke... The app works when you have good equipment and a proper working phone that isn't on airplane mode.

It's okay. There's no alternative really, but the GPS doesn't work at all. So consider acquiring a third party device. Beware however, that strava will steal ca 20-30m from what your GPS device logged. So beware when doing distance challenges.

Millennials are developing this app. Everytime I run, I recieve a new trophy for some lame ass accomplishment I did. Run the same route, get a trophy for local legend! WOW! Trophies for everyone! Don't forget, everyone's GPS is different so you'll have different times for everyone! Join 4k different challenges so every has to see it in their feed (sarcasm) Another social media platform that everyone has to live and die for. Make sure you give me kudos!! Its ok. But not worth the monthly cost that was recently introduced. The features you used to get now cost alot. Was once great but even the subscription version is getting glitchy. And the more people who leave, the less value of being able to see leader boards etc. I still question your strategy. At a lower monthly sub c.£3, I think you'd triple membership which would sure boost advertising income.

so this app is useless without the premium membership. and possibly even then its still useless. i downloaded the trial, and none of the trail map functions work at all. every time i try to open one, it prompts me to get a trial membership, then says you already have the trial membership, then closes out of everything.

I do not use this app. direct.. Recordings come via Garmin watch and are spot on regards route, distance, but watch, Vivoactive 3, under records elevation by up to 50% and of course calories under record. Sounds as if 3rd party app. is way to go!! even if not perfect. Strava itself is 5*****.

1) constant crashes on my new phone 2) doesn't support BLE heart rate monitor because that made "the app crash in the past". Guess what, it crashes anyways 3) runkeeper didn't crash so far AND it supports my HRM strap. Switching to it for now.

Strava gives me all the information I need to maintain an accurate record of my cycling It also helps me to keep up to date with what cycling friends are doing and to borrow their routes - as they may do with mine!

Got this app for a charity run. Seems like it is used often for these sorts of events all over the world. It has been days and constantly unable to sync. Error messages, timeouts etc.

I run 2 apps together when running n riding , i perfer strava but I have lost rides with strava no saving them at the end. Also strava constantly pauses while moving. I like strava but it needs a hell of a lot of work to be perfect.

I'm on the premium version and Strava does not record the same run times as my watch. Despite numerous attempts to obtain support I never ever receive an answer. This is a poor show and smacks of arrogance.

Appears accurate. Allows me to see how many miles I have cycled for each activity, weekly, monthly, annually and since I started to use the app. Is wish it show an overall total for walking as we'll

Was good but since you now have to pay for it many useful features have gone for those not paying. My last few rides have about 66% of the ride data missing. It's gone downhill unfortunately.

If's not on strava, it did't happen! Only downside is that it does not differentiate between single riders and riders in a group - you can't compare times between an individual and a group.

There were problems before with it not tracking correctly and the GPS would go all crazy. It seems to be working perfectly again after my phone got a software update and/or maybe the app got updated too. Hopefully this issue won't come back.

Strava is my all time favourite app. Regular updates and challenges keep running enjoyable and engaging. I had a free account for a long time, recently upgraded to the premium account an think it is great value.

Dropped the stars from 5 to 4 as alot if the free features have been removed and the apps times seem less accurate compared to a watch on the same runs. All in all a great app for tracking distance but bit as good as it was.

Have been a paid up subscriber to Strava since this July and am really enjoying the wider functionality. Simple to use interface and I enjoy the social links to my running buddies. Well worth the few quid a month!

Lately, the app cannot seem to coordinate with GPS. I regularly use the same route, which is just under 10 miles. It has now turned into a geographical mess of over 21 miles.

Must have for runners and cyclists! Minor glitches with the app and slow response time to common-sense requests by majority of users. However, the tracking features and data are great.

It has been really positive...I'd like the show similar routes function. I'd like the ability to look at my best effort and personal best data similarly and to narrow that data by date range.

Love Strava. 1 star off because: Not a huge fan of the priority they give to the local legends feature. They could also fix the shared KOMs not showing in KOM list that users have complained about for years.

Detailed, but easy to use charts and stats that let you track your progress. Comparisons to yourself and others will mean that you become a little competitive!!

App was working great, until I subscribed for 1 year. Now workouts other than running and walking does not want to sync with my Galaxy watch which is so freaking frustrating! Please fix this issue.

I find it annoying that the feed is filled with unnecessary notifications about people joining challenges! I would prefer it if the app could allow a person to opt in or out of receiving these type of notifications.

Good app to monitor progress for self motivation and also for friends encouragement. If you like stats it can be quite addictive and give you lots of measurements e.g. heart-rate, pace, effort levels etc works for me!

Been using the app for years and it's great. A couple of things that don't match the web browser experience, but used in conjunction with the browser experience, the Strava eco system is essential for my everyday training. And ad free! Thankyou

Overall a good app. Sometimes the science behind is a little confusing for a beginner. Good how your friends can keep up and interact with your fitness.

So far so good ... Once i found the privacy setting so not all users could see my activity. It should default with the privacy set high and user can fix as they would like. Otherwise so far i like it.

The app loses the GPS connection and intermittently and then connects them with absolutely inaccurate and paths thus ruining your whole ride. They must fix this soon as it's error with the basic feature of the app.

Fantastic app that simplifies recording my stats so I can track my fitness. A fun way to keep in touch with friends I can no longer ride with due to the pandemic.

Consistently running the same routes it's great to see even gradual improvements over the past 9 months. Subtle encouragement without being too patronising. Good support across different devices.
