Okay it does work in GPS mode and doesn't disconnect while you are flying the drone. An I just found out that you only connect the controller only first. Then the app last but don't calibrate the drone using the app. Only the controller but only use your phone to connect your wifi to your drone. And then launch the app. And skip calibration. Enter into the drones camera skip all calibration screens and your good to go. I hope this helps someone that doesn't know how to connect the holy stone.

I have a s21 galaxy phone on t mobile , I can get the camera to work, I can fly it, crash it just fine. When I recorded I can hear myself talk just no picture. It's solid black. I have done some searching and found I phone works better .. I don't want Apple products. It says it's for an android phone, so why isn't it working.. please find a fix

HS175D and T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S10 App installs and syncs with drone Wifi. Able to fly drone and view video but not control camera. Tried iPhone version of app and it has camera control and has more / better functionality. PLEASE UPDATE ANDROID APP TO WORK AS WELL AS iPhone app!!!

Google phone recognizes and connects to wifi but won't sync with drone except once in a while. Not worth the frustration using Android.

Compass Calibration shows drone mapped in China. Slightest obstruction looses gps signal. Best to use while your Google map app is open, to pin point location.

This app was fantastic with my HS175 drone until this last update (at least upon initial first flight afterwards). I'd never had a problem with it until the first flight after this latest update. I took off with the drone like I had every other time but when the drone got about 300ft away and was about 100ft high, suddenly the app crashed and showed a black screen, then restarted with EVERYTHING in Chinese. FORTUNATELY my drone stayed where it was and only required the RTH button to get home.

App worked great from first use. All controls and features like a flight log record and circle fly work at push of a button. I've gone 100m high and about 176m away before I've noticed connection issues (in an apartment complex not wide open area). Overall would recommend a Holy Stone drone. I have a HS175 and a Galaxy S10+, overall satisfied.

Ok app, I just wish that it had better instructions to go along with it. There are setting and such that have no explanation and yet you need to work through sometimes. I like the flight logs and the height and distance is a great feature. Would be nice to get a warning before the low battery return feature kicked in.
