The FUTÁR application by BKK Centre for Budapest Transport has been renewed under the name BudapestGO, which, in addition to real-time route planning, has been extended with new functions: you can buy digital single tickets, daily and weekly travelcards or passes in the application and you can also be informed immediately about the current transport service changes. You can use the route planner with a cleaner and clearer interface, facilitated by a number of new features. I live in Budapest and wanted a place to put in a review of my experience here - hands down one of the best transportation systems globally and great app. The services are on time, it is well connected and great night transport. The only major issue is the airport transfer. I have been taking it since it started and it really bugs me that it is available only every 20 mins and most people stand on the way. It is quite hard as they are with luggage or with families. It should be every 10-15 mins.

It might be useful if you are a public transportation geek and do your research, but there are no ticket suggestions, not even a smallest warning that you need a separate, expensive ticket for 100E bus line from the airport, which is just used in route planning as if it were a usual bus. There are ticket descriptions (weirdly, in Hungarian only, despite the English localization) if you figure out you have to zoom in and click on a ticket machine, but for a foreigner it's no more use than Moovit.

I wish there was a zero star rating. The user flow of this app is by far the worst i've seen in a mobile app, and i've seen really bad ones. It's very embarrassing that this is the only official app put out by BKK. No option for schedules without fiddling with the map, no searchable listings of all routes, which would be the most basic feature of such an app. Also if you finally find the bus or tram stop you need and click it, instead of the schedule it shows the connecting lines. The whole concept is based on the assumption that you always use your GPS and want the nearest transit option but it's a very mistaken use case. You also want to be able to plan your travel in advance. BKK people plese hire a professional UX designer, i know you can afford it.

The most useful app for traveling in the city. Most probably this is the second most used app in my phone, beside Facebook... There is only one annoying feature, if you shake your phone, it will think that the application had frozen, and ask if you would like to report the problem...

So easy to use very good
