Music for everyone

Spotify is an online music service that lets you play songs from a library of more than 20 million tracks, build playlists, and get recommendations from other members or from Spotify's own suggestion engine.

The free streaming option lets you listen to any artist collection or playlist—you cannot, however, play a particular song on demand. For that, you'll need to upgrade to the $9.99 per month Spotify Premium, a tier that also grants unlimited skips, commercial-free music, the new Running tool, and an offline listening mode.

The app (free, with an optional $9.99 per month Premium service) opens the door to collaborative playlists, on-demand music playback, commercial-free listening, and cool new features for runners.

Spotify features a panel-driven layout that makes it a breeze to browse the various genres, which include Rock, Decades, Urban, and Pop Culture. There are also a few others, including several videogame-themed stations (something Slacker Radio lacks).

Tapping a top-level category opens several subcategories. The Urban section, for example, has dozens of playlists such as Hip Hop Monsters, and Produced by The NeptunesPharrell. Swiping left lets you access playlists, your friends list, and other areas.

You can stream or cache tracks at a deliciously high 320kbps, called Extreme Mode. Regardless of the bitrate you select, you'll enjoy loud, crisp audio. Spotify also supports gapless playback and cross-fading between tracks so there aren't any abrupt pauses.

There are millions of songs on Spotify. Play your favorites, discover new tracks, and build the perfect collection. You’ll find readymade playlists to match your mood, put together by music fans and experts. Hear this week’s latest singles and albums, and check out what’s hot in the Top 50!

Reviews From google play store

This app used to be so great. It continues to get slower and freeze up more and more seemingly with each update(?!) I have been a paid subscriber for years but I am now looking into other options. It frequently loses contact with various devices now (bluetooth speaker, google home, samsung tv, pc). Sometimes it's just for a second, other times I have to pick up my phone and hit play again. There are other similarly priced services and I think that I may need to give them a try. (Note 10+, S10+)

As a free app works a bit like the radio - you can request a song but you might have to listen to a load of other junk before you hear it (if at all?). No talking but still get the ads. Playlists made up for you contain a huge amount of unwanted/unknown stuff. Tries to learn what you like but if you have a broad taste it struggles to play what you like - seems to play a load of stuff that is just blah. If you get the premium you end up with nothing if you cancel. I'll stick to my 700+ CDs/LPs.

I've been a Spotify user for years, and I love it. But, for the last two months the player on the app won't work right. I can't change songs from outside the app or the music won't stop when I watch a video. Also, it just goes offline after a certain time, and I'll have to close out the app and re open if I need to search a new song. Very frustrating from an app I've used for so long.

I've been using Spotify premium for years now. But since last month the app is working worse. The app crashes and closes up, the music stops without any reason and the app doesn't let me to download my playlist. I thought it was because my storage space was running out, but it wasn't that. I have a lot of space in my phone!. I also tried to update Spotify but nothing changes. I feel like I'm paying Spotify premium without a good reason! I can't listen to my music in peace anymore! Please help.

It was pretty great at first; my only complaint being that you cant upload other versions of songs or cant listen to certain ones in your area. But now it doesnt work at all. Only one song can play all the way through (the song doesnt change either) and whenever you click another song it plays a random part of it for a few seconds then stops. I tried deleting it and redownloading but that doesnt work, and even on a different phone its still broken.

Spotify makes it much easier to listen to music for me, but I keep having several issues with it. Sometimes, songs with randomly stop being downloaded and I have to download them again before I can go offline. Today as well, I went online to listen to something else for a car ride, and every single song and playlist I had downloaded suddenly weren't at all anymore. Please fix this issue!

I've been a premium member for a good 5+ years and haven't had issues until now. The player widget for Samsung is gone, and whatever I listen to stops playing and I either have to reopen the app, or press the play button on my ear piece multiple times before it registers. And when it continues, it back tracks to a previous part in the song. Its super annoying because I'm listening while I'm at work, and my work is super hands on, so I don't have time or the clean hands to muck around with things.

It was a great music app until last updates. Whenever i am offline the music stops playing in few minutes after the phone goes into an energy saving mode. However, it plays ok once my phone has a signal. Being a premium used, I pay money every months to enjoy the music even if my phone is off signal. If this problem isn't solved any time soon, i am afraid, I will cancel my account.

I love this app but the recent update is really annoying. It used to have all of an artists albums in order chronologically, now there is no list like that. It's just a "popular releases" list. Maybe it's because if the way I listen to music but this is really annoying. Also artist descriptions are now at the bottom rather than just popping up when you tap their name, you also can't look at album covers without playing the album anymore. Just why? In general the design of the app is worse now.

Spotify Premium - Samsung Note 8 Worked great until the last few updates. Today's update has me ready to cancel the premium plan if it can't be fixed quick. Mobile version connected vehicle via Bluetooth started randomly cutting out occasionally with the last couple of updates. With today's update, it will not play music for more than a few minutes. I have "allow background data usage" and "allow app while data saver on" turned on. Another problem is that it will not go in to "car view" since this update. Car view's "turn on automatically" is turned on. I haven't tried "always on" because, well, I don't want it always on and I don't want to have to switch back and forth every time I get in and out of my car. I will try to uninstall and reinstall. If that doesn't work, I will look for another service with less problematic updates. ****EDIT**** Uninstalled Spotify, reinstalled Spotify and I shut down my phone. No change. It even cuts off after a few minutes after starting whether it is connected to Bluetooth or not. Is there a fix for this?

As much as I want to like Spotify, I can't. Songs will stop playing after getting 10 seconds in extremely frequently, the app constantly logs me out on my console and my phone- even if I'm in the middle of listening to music- and the app will completely freeze up when I connect it to any Bluetooth devices. Having Premium also has no effect on any of these issues. It's a music app that can't seem to play music 9 times out of 10. Even iHeartRadio is better.

Been using it for a while now and its always a smooth experience while listening on Spotify. You can add songs to your playlist, queing option is also great and also audio quality. Never went premium, but am sure it would be an even better experience than with the free version. It must be too much to ask considering the amount of songs getting added each day but it would be very nice if we could get an option to view lyrics of the songs while being played especially for the non English songs.

Well things were going well with premium. I am not sure what they did with this last update but things have fallen apart. I can not get more than 30 seconds out of a song on my phone before it cuts out. After unlocking my phone it starts playing again. Then the cycle repeats. Very convenient app until now. If support can not resolve this soon I will cancel my premium and move on to another app that can do the job properly.

I don't even want to give this a star. The newest update is a nightmare. First, the home screen doesn't show, just a black screen. My playlist doesn't work when I push shuffle. Nor can I choose a single song from that list anymore. When I push the song in the playlist list, plays the song like I'm previewing it. I loved this app, and now I want to delete it.

Absolutely fantastic app, especially for students. Only problem I have is that when I'm trying to download "liked" songs, it says "waiting for download" or "enable cellular setting to download". Now I've had the cellular option enabled but for some reason it takes a bit of messing around to fix this problem. This might be linked to my phones notifications which says "downloading 1 out of 10" for example, when really I'm not downloading anything at all, but it keeps popping up and bugs me a lot

I'm a long time user of Spotify and have been using the premium service for about 6 years. I have to give the app in it's current state a low score due to bugs. I can no longer play music and shut off my phone screen without the music pausing for a few minutes. This is a big problem to my phones battery life. I will no longer be using this app until that bug gets fixed.

Probably the best option out there but lately the bugs are becoming unbearable. Randomly jumping to a different song, songs stop playing randomly, have to go into the app and pause or restart when you used to be able to do it without going to the app itself, I really don't want to uninstall the app and lose all of my playlists. Please fix the bugs!

I enjoyed so much, I got tired of hearing the ads that went from 1 ad to 3 or 4 ads between songs - so I went Premium. Keep up with the updates but it now has glitches such as pausing while songs play. Whether I play by connecting to a speaker, playing from the phone, or using headphones it doesn't make a difference. Also when my screen times out and shuts off the music will also stop and won't come back on until I turn screen back on. Thinking of cancelling, being that it's not playing properly!

I've had spotify premium for well over a year now and it has steadily gotten worse. As noted by others the music will stop playing as soon as the screen locks. Another quirky thing it does and I'm certain it isnt a setting I have selected on my playlist. I have the playlist organised by artist name and there could be 10 or so songs for one given artist, however it will play one or two songs and then skip to the next artist? It also wont play them in the sequential order you'd expect.

On the verge of cancelling my subscription- The app has been awful since acquiring the Galaxy S10. It takes about 2 minutes for Spotify to load the home screen and additional time during navigation. Sometimes I have to reboot it. A paying customer shouldn't have to experience this. This is not a recent occurrence and I've been waiting to see if any of the new updates would the issue and it hasn't.

Spotify logged me out of my account and I tried logging back with the correct information, then it said that my password was incorrect (it's not) then it sent a link, I press the button immediately and Spotify says that the link has expired when I really had 4 hours left. I've tried everything, this goddamn app won't let me back into my account. Plus, it's not letting me delete my account when I'm in it. Absolutely awful. This has been happening for so long and I'm so sick of it.

Slow. Like 2002 internet slow. The now playing works about 50 percent of the time. Its has a hard time playing downloaded music while connected to the internet. The app takes to long to decide if it's online or offline. The surch function is slow too. And good luck trying to play music not downloaded. Then they add all save songs to the playlist section. If it sounds like I'm using a Sidekick in rual Montana I'm not. I have a Galaxy S10 in the middle of Seattle.

Worst. I am a premium user. I downloaded some songs and set it to offline. It won't just play, so I have to set it to online and have to turn on my data. I tried clearing my catch, but it won't load. So I tried restarting my phone, and I have to log in again and shoot, all my downloads were gone. I have to redo it again, but still the same problem. Spotify used to be a great app, but it slowly losing it's greatness. What's the point of paying if I can't enjoy my subscriptions? Useless

This new update blows. The music will randomly stop playing when I am driving. I have to go into the physical app to get it to play again, then the song resets and freezes again once it get to the same spot as before. AND it freezes like that every other song. I listen to spotify primarily when I'm driving. I can use it, if I have to fiddle with my phone every 5 minutes trying to get it to work.

What's going on Spotify?! I've been subscribed for a number of years, never had an issue with the app. It's been happening for some months now but the app will stop a few seconds after the screen shuts off with the app opened. The song starts over when app is opened again. I thought it would be a problem you guys would've fixed by now, seeing as Im not the only one with a Samsumg S9+ complaining of it. Please fix this asap! I enjoy listening and want to continue supporting ya!

Can't play the songs i want, not without spotify adding what thay want. And it can't be turned off. And it has to be shuffled, and that can't be turned off. Pluss this seems to be the only way to get hold of spotify. I am looking for other music apps. Spotify is a big name, not a good app. Go premium for £10 a month... really? Netflix is £10 a month wirh 4 screens on at the same time and in 4k... i think you know where i am going with this...

Premium no longer offers any improved features over a free account except for being able to download songs, which isn't really useful with a service like this anyway. You removed radio, people can't discover new music through the playlist feature, the playlists are only 50 songs long and most of them show the same songs if artists are even slightly similar. Then it just repeats when it's done and doesn't try to find different songs. I will not waste my money on this again. Totally pointless.

I'm pissed. I've loved this app for almost 8 years now. But the last major update they did destroyed everything. I can barely get the app to work, I havent used it consistently for weeks now because of the issues. Even when it does worked, they ruined the ease of use with the new garbage UI they decided they needed. So now everything is a chore to find, and super hard to use quickly and conveniently. I'm planning on ending my subscription soon.

I like it a lot. Much better than the other guys. I just turned 63 on my last birthday and I can't believe how much great music has been made in my lifetime! Lately I've been listening to music I haven't heard for 30, 40, even 50+ years. I'm the perfect age for rock n roll. I haven't yet thought of a song or artist that is not available. From the Stones to Jethro Tull(no relation), it's all there with every thing they've ever done. Takes me back to when concerts were 6 bucks and someone big was playing almost every weekend. I would and have recommended Spotify to others.

Excellent. I read all the complaints some people posted on here. But they're forgetting one big thing. IT'S FREE QUIT WHINNING!! Well worth the monthly charge. Way better than iHeartRadio. Taking advantage of the 90 day free trial. Only reason I stayed with iHeartRadio is because Ron Burgundy was on there. Come to find out he's on Spotify also. Love Spotify.

I'd give a 4.5 if I could. Love love love❤😘 Spotify. It has been getting a lot of ads recently and I'm not a premium member. But you know, I still love it and I've been using it for about 2 years. Perfect for cleaning, walking, driving, everyday activities. Just make your own playlist and choose your own songs. If you don't feel like it, it makes a weekly playlist for you from the songs you've listened to. LOVE IT. Of course, free comes with a price. You can't download songs... Premium

Never had a problem with Spotify. Been a premium member for about 6 years and it's been worth the money. Upgraded to the family plan 3 years ago and it's worth it. The only complaint I have is that I can't seem to access my free hulu on the family plan. I don't expect for all my family to have it but as the account holder I thought I would get it. Also this new update doesn't let me use the filter on my liked songs playlist so it makes it harder to find my music. 5 stars well deserved.

Been using for years, works great with premium to listen to stuff I like, really enjoying the addition of more niche artists lately (Ruth White finally on here, yay!). But the recent update that changed how your music is sorted is absolute garbage. I don't want to have to scroll through pages of "Recommended" artists to get to what I actually have saved. Highly inconvenient and ill informed design, can't see the purpose of it whatsoever. Please go back to sorting things normally.

It used to be so good, but after an update a lot of the features I used to use weren't accessible anymore. Usually, I could just press and hold to select multiple songs, that way I could place all of them on queue, or add them to a playlist. Now, those features are gone, and I'm really ticked they are. It's a pain to add music now

i've had Spotify since 2011. It's basically the Netflix of streaming music. There's always been a various amounts of glitches that repeat itself. But even more so after I got a cheap CHEAP android. So apparently it takes a lot to process spotify on a phone. It's SO so much better operating spotify on a computer. Spotify has treated me well, but as for this app in particular, it could do with some improvement.

This app gets worst after every update. The music just stops, it doesn't matter if it's downloaded music it just stops. New UI is terrible, Songs tab is gone, I can't save partial albums now it has to be the whole things. I see myself switching to another service, this is a step backwards. Very disappointed. Also bring the widget back.

Theres this awesome glitch that's been making me angry. So I've got android just for keeping facts straight. Everything is up to date. But spotify likes to do this thing where it stops playing music when your phone screen turns off. And it's not just once every hour.. no its sometimes every time for a solid 40 minutes and that is 100% unacceptable. I pay for premium and when my music doesn't work it's a waste of my money

Terrible updates have now made it useless for Android. Used to work well and was easy to use and navigate but the last few updates have absolutely ruined it. I pay for premium and now the app constantly tells me I'm offline when I'm not, endless "loading" searches, and worst of all keeps stopping music from playing until i reactivate my phone screen. As soon as my screen turns off again so does the music. Useless and dangerous when driving. Not good enough for something I pay for!

The streaming service is fine but whoever decided that the only artists that show in alphabetical order are the few that you follow needs to rethink their life choices. I can't find half my artists because they're all basically sorted randomly now. The application should know that if I've liked a song from an artist, I want to be able to find that song BY the artist without having to follow them. This change (on desktop too) feels as if I just switched streaming services and have to re-download my entire library. Maybe I'll do that now.

Latest update now has the app crashing at random. Absolutely ruins it for me. Unlike many people, although I preferred it before, I don't actually mind the new UI. As a listener of Podcasts this has helped me personally. But the constant crashing is a total deal breaker. Fix this now .. Update - After months there has still been no fix to the app crashes or much improvement to the UI. I now plan on finding another app. Spotify is no longer worth the money

Spotify really needs to fix this app. There are so many different choices for streaming music and so far this app is the worst. Everytime my screen goes dark my music stops whether the "notification" is on or not. I love the service on everything other than the phone app. I have been a paying subscriber for about 3 to 4 years and since you got rid of the widget for android this has been a constant problem and I'm at the point where I'm going to switch to someone else just for the ease of the app.

App will close itself at random (even if the screen is on). Music stops playing at random when the screen is off. Only way to avoid the music stopping is when you have the screen on and with car mode or whatever its called. Even downloaded music or offline mode doesnt work properly. Waste of money. Was hoping maybe with the recent update itd fix it but didnt. Paying for a service that doesnt even work is ridiculous. They should offer premium free till its fixed at least. Just avoid spotify.

The number one thing Spotify should improve is queue customization. I want to be able to remove a song from the queue and have it still removed when the playlist loops around. A bigger library wouldn't hurt either, but that's a separate issue. Also, the widget is not working well for me. Other than that, it's been great so far.

Spotify is a good platforms to find all types of musics, however the 'watch this video to get 30 mins of ad free music' is a complete lie. I listened to 3 songs/muisc that are like around 3 minutes each and then there's an ad, also many of the famous classics like "Can't take my eyes off you" is never available. The app is good but it can be better.

I've always used Spotify, daily I loved Spotify but this new update Really Sucks! ASS! Its take 7 or more minutes to even show anything on the screen. It takes even longer to search for a song or go to the playlist and have music play. Plus it takes Even longer to just close the app. I dont even try to use it anymore because it's not worth it. Now I just use YouTube. It's faster and doesn't take Forever. You need to fix this update Fast!

I really like and appreciate the download option so that I can listen without using cellular when in the car. My only major problem is that there is no place to see where the podcasts are that I downloaded. I know it's easy to search and find them, but it would be really nice if one could have the option to file the podcast somewhere on the user profile for to find much easier and faster. Thank you

It's a cool app. When Spotify had the "extreme quality" music option my subwoofers would shake the ground like an earthquake. But now it's only "high quality" option and the 1,000 watt rms JL Audio still hitting but not like how it was with extreme quality. Management needs to explain to me why? I like my music loud and graceful; like to hear every instrument while I'm young, and like to have ppl dancing at the stoplight. Can I get a discount for taking extreme off? In return, I'll give u 5stars

App use to work fine on the Samsung s8+, recently switched to the s10+ and now it takes forever to load. Songs take ages to play, if I want to change the song I have to wait 2 to 5 minutes. I haven't been able to download my music. Music continues to play when I have completely closed the app. I've tried redownloading, reloging, different accounts nothing seems to work. The app works fine on the s8+ though.

Used to be great. They updated the app early this year and turned it into trash. Cant delete individual songs anymore. It's bad when the old app was 100x better than after they updated. It's been several months and they haven't changed back so I dont think they care. Look on their community and everyone is complaining about the updated app.

The best music and podcast app for your daily musical needs or your daily dose of podcasts. You can find almost every song and podcast you know of here. Global and local collections, complete. You can use it for free, unlike Apple Music. This app is also the music streaming app with the best integrations with third party apps, voice assistants, and even cars. I highly recommend for all kinds of music listeners, from kids to adults. This app is easy to use and straightforward, no hassle in the UX

I recently got the app and have been enjoying it. I set up a playlist and was impressed with the music that was available. I have been thinking seriously about going premium to alleviate the commercials and because I am a music lover the cost per month was well worth it to me. But, it was just recently that when I play anything on my playlist I only get a snippet of the song. I don't know what is going on but this has been disappointing and I will probably look toward other music options.

I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem but the audio in the app keeps going out randomly but the song/podcast will still be playing and I have to open my phone to resume the audio. I had this issue when I first downloaded it a year ago. It seemed to have been fixed for a while and then a few months ago it started happening again. I thought I could've been a faulty pair of wireless headphones I had so I replaced the pair and the problem persisted. Please fix this

Spotify keeps stoping the music for no reason. I can have full WiFi or cellular data, it doesn't matter. I have to cycle play pause to get it back and this often starts the song from the beginning. I have allowed all app permissions, cleared the cache and the app is up to date but it keeps happening. Samsung S9+ 128gb, factory unlocked, T-Mobile.

(Originally gave it one star) Best app for music right now. But, a bug where if two Spotify players are open simultaneously (i.e chrome and mobile, or console and mobile.) the majority of your albums are erased from your saved albums tab. Very frustrating as it has happened to me about 6 times now and i have to take time out of my day to re-save them again. Not paying family tier for this bs. Update: pretty good. issues got fixed.

I've always had the issue that i don't save any music, just playlists, the app always uses up my storage as if I am saving music. I clear my cache but there's still a huge block of memory being used in app data. The biggest complaint I have though is how often the app updates and with those constant updates how the in-app volume meter gets taken out then put back in etc. PLEASE, just stop taking it out. I need it as some older devices have broken volume buttons. Current version it's invisible!

The song that's currently playing only shows on the bottom of the screen sporadically after this last update. Please fix this It took a month, but the widget is back! Please don't get rid of it again (like you did on 8/13/19) - I use it multiple times per day +1 star for FINALLY adding a sleep timer (that can only be accessed via certain screens for some reason??)

Equalizer has conflicts with volume level. Apparently there was a 'Go to song radio' Option that I'm not seeing and tech support was unable to help. This is a brilliant feature and not having control over it feels like a major setback. Apart from that, great music. Great selections. And easy to use interface.

My reason for not giving it 5 stars is that it doesn't allow you to add multiple songs from one playlist to another. For example I make a new playlist and I want to add 5 songs from another playlist onto that one, instead of grouping them all at once at putting them all in the playlist at once I have to individually click each song and add it to the new playlist. I also wish you could change the order of songs in playlists, instead of that being the only way in order to listen to the playlist.

I like using Spotify, but I don't know if it's because of the constant updates or just the app, but my music will play and not give me problems then stop and not play anything as if he app closed itself? Then I have to open the app and press the play buttom just for the song to start all over. Its annoying to deal with, but other than that the app is good.

10/15/19 WILL BE CANCELING SUBSCRIPTION more than likely. Is not worth having if I cannot train without interruption. The app is constantly stopping. 10/8/19 App is doing what the world hated about YouTube. Have to have the app screen open to hear your music. Eventually my music stops when my screen has been out. This started 2 months ago. Should not have updated I guess. The app was flawless! Wish it had a genre category though. Still the best music app.

Ive been with Spotify even theu those early "dark days". Every Podcast I listen to is on Spotify. I love love love the suggestions provided. It keeps me in the loop around the world and on other platforms. Every thing I need, like sussing out artists, stations, songs, and info is available in Spotify with Intutive function. Brilliant! I can easily move thru the audio and have no trouble navigating the app. Thank you, Spotify. Thank You!

The most recent update has really hurt my experience with this service. The feature to add whole albums to a playlist has been removed. Not sure why when you can still add an album to the queue. Multiple technical issues that I see have also been reiterated in other complaints. A mobile game add a few seconds into a song was the final straw for me. It would be most unfortunate to have to do so with the playlists I've already made, but I might consider switching to another streaming service...

Great service, terrible interface. The new update to the UI makes it incredibly difficult to find your music in your library. Only the musical artists that you follow are in alphabetical order, the rest of your music is in order of the last thing you listened to. Just allow me to organize all my library music in alphabetical order.

Ever since I cancelled my premium membership I cant even sign in to listen to any of my music. I still had 3 weeks left of my premium before it went to basic and the app won't let me in at all. Keeps saying I'm set to offline and I need to go online in settings to listen. Well if I can't sign in how can I switch to online! I'm very frustrated. I've had this app with no issues for 4 months, and I make one change and now I'm kicked out. Please help!!

I (currently) have a free account and, despite the advertising, it is very enjoyable to be able to create playlists. Spotify also currates playlists for you based on who/what you listen to. That feature is cool and helps me find new or related artists to enjoy. I do wish, however, that Spotify had more age related advertising settings avaliable. It is a little eyebrow raising to get a anti-vaping ad while listening to disney music with younger kids or a condom ad *gasp* while with your parents!

I would give a higher rate level, but there's this problem I kept experiencing. I had my Spotify updated all the time, yet it sometimes freezes and stops the music with no reasons. I kept waiting, for 'it' to be fixed, but so far it hasn't been. Hopefully, you could fix it in the next update. Thanks.

I've used this app for years and I love it. I do pay for ad free listening as well. The app has been glitchy lately and the latest is that it stops for no reason and I have to go start it again or it stops like it needs the screen to stay active and unlocked. I really hope new updates do not require that because listening with the screen locked is easier on the battery and life in general. 3 stars now, but usually 5.

For a Premium user, it's a ho-hum experience with this mobile app. Already build some playlists I enjoy, but the app is a headache. Recent updates screwed up the payment plans, so I wasn't on premium for 2 months. After that's fixed and was able to sub again, just this recently, I was getting annoying full-screen ads for their premium subscription, WHICH CLEARLY I'M ALREADY SUBSCRIBED TO. I'm starting to think about not wasting that 10 bucks next month if these issues still persist.

This was my favorite music app for years. Until they removed the homescreen widget for android phones claiming it wasn't going to be any more or less convenient to use from the lock screen. Well guess what, the controls on the galaxy edge dont work, I still want my homescreen widget back months later, and every time I need to control my music I have to open my phone and enter the app. When i do so, it sets whatever I was listening to back a few seconds and takes way more time. Not impressed.

Love listening to tons of different music on spotify, and making my own playlist, but there are some things that could be improved. I really wish I could organize songs to where I want them in a playlist when I'm on my phone. Also, the song recommendations for playlists seem like they focus too heavily on a particular genre present and don't take in the other songs mixed in. I also only have the ability to dislike songs on radio sometimes to mark as don't play again. It seems to randomly pop up?

Since first download always problems. Worst app ever and none of the updates fix it. The app closes itself randomly, it takes ages to open another song/playlist if last time when you closed another song was on. You click many times when it doesn't work and when it finally works it skips many songs because u clicked before. It always annoys me and it is the only app on my phone that I am having problems with. Device sync doesn't work with one of my laptops as well. It doesn't see it. Overall, bad

Look, I love Spotify. I love Spotify Premium. But on Android Spotify is consistently slow to load and sometimes just doesn't load at all. I have a lot of music download to an SD card so maybe that's part of it but come on. I struggle through this literally every day. Just when you think it's being responsive for a couple days, it dashes your hopes and that green loading circle stays there for all eternity

I've had a great experience using Spotify. A wide variety of music, comedy and podcasts. Spotify support are quick to respond to questions with solutions. I've only recently run into a problem with the app shutting off on it's own and I haven't figured out if it's my location, my phone or the app itself. Otherwise a great app.

Great app. It has always been reliable and stable for me. However, I do not like the look and feel of the latest updates. It seems that the feature to play all my songs has disappeared. There use to be an "all songs" category/playlist and this has been removed. This was all I used, and I would play my music from there on shuffle, so I am disappointed. I also wish you could have a "select all" option within playlists, to copy songs into another playlist.

Latest trouble with this continuously flawed app. I'm streaming music on full-bars Wi-Fi, at High quality, and songs stop playing at random - I guess to "buffer"? Happens at least 4-5 times for every song played. It's stupid and ridiculous and pretty much ruins listening to any music that isn't downloaded to my library. Seriously, what happened to this app...

It logged me out all of a sudden and now I can't log back in! It's sending me links to reset but when I click on them, it says "the link has expired"!!! Uninstalled and reinstalled eventually. I was able to login, but then my downloads (over 10GB) disappeared. And "My Library" section looks totally different, "playlists" selection cannot be seen! What happened here?? It was all so smooth and awesome earlier and straightaway had my 5 stars!! Where are the playlists??????? Why????

This is by far was one of the best apps for music until lately. I've had to redownload the app twice because it says the my account password is incorrect, even though it works on the web player just fine! The first time it worked again after the redownload and now it's just not letting me log in at all on the mobile app! I loved it until now.

Music gives me balance in life, I must have it daily all day if possible and even long after I've slipped into dreamland Spptify is on the job. I've been a premium Spotify member for six + years now and it is a lifeline that never fails me. Love this app, and yes there is always room for improvement so is in life . Thank you Spotify for walking through life with me.... one music note .at a time.

Good sound quality, doesnt skip, gapless transition between songs. Missing a star because the radio "stations" arent real stations anymore. They are just playlists - if you listen to them long enough, they repeat. It can be difficult to break out of the music you know to discover new music you might like.

The fact that Spotify generates a random username for you and deprive the option of changing it does piss me off quite well. I spent 3 hours trying to do so, and it didn't do much. Not only that, you can also connect Spotify to Discord, but the randomly generated username annoys me. Overall, if you too are a Discord User who struggles to find the username in there, I highly suggest not using this app

The app is constant closing and freezing. Every time I open another app that might have sound, it (spotify) just closes. Sometimes ill be in Spotify creating a playlist while listening to a podcast and it will just freeze and close. It is seriously starting to become so annoying. It continued to happen after an update and I had to delete for a while cause I was so frustrated. Hopefull a full reinstall will help. Otherwise its only desktop for spotify.

I use this app on a daily basis, very user friendly as well as you are able to custom tailor your music interests so that whatever genre you are listening to at the time there will always be future suggestions based around your specific interests. It's also very easy to customize and download your own specified playlists. If you have low space on your phone than you are able to remove the download but still able to save the playlist but need to he connected to wifi in order to listen to them

I'll give it to you guys that you hands down have the best synchronization across devices when it comes to casting throughout my home. But sadly I think I'm going to have to cancel my plan with how bad you guys are at listening to your users. I was annoyed about how bad the radio had gotten with you guys so I went to your forms to see if it was just me and apparently your community has been asking about this for a long time now. We want the old Spotify radio back where we could like and dislike

I never i have any problems. Premium is so worth it. I got hulu along with. Download music. So i dont need service to play my music. Its helps me keep up and listen to new music. Its lit!! New up dates on the app are ehh ok.... In offline mode where i can only listen to downloaded music, it would only play certain songs. Like the other songs where no even downloaded. Im lil mad but overall still decent app. Yall better than this.

First, the new look of this app is horrible. I wish you could have the option to look at "original" Spotify. Second, the app has been stopping repeatedly while playing songs. One song will finish, then next song starts and it's totally silent, yet the track time keeps moving. It's happened more than 5 times in the last couple days. Also, free Spotify sucks, bad.

I used to swear by this app. However, they have repeatedly "updated" so that it is now counterintuitive to find anything. Where your whole collection used to be sorted in one place, there is now no organization other than lumping albums together. My daily playlists used to be full of great suggestions, now just the same songs every day. Every change that has been made in the past few months has made this service less user friendly. I would not recommend this app unless it gets major fixes.

I like how this app goes on, but for some reason which is being not able to change your username and profile sucks. It's only a bunch of random letters and numbers. I even connected it to my Facebook account, but it was futile. I want my Spotify account to be unknown to everyone except for myself that's why I badly want tochange my username. I suggest for you guys to add an icon on Spotify app wherein you can change your username profile and stuff.

I really love this app and I use it every single day, but there are some issues that I'm really starting to get tired of. The first one is that sometimes the music will stop when I turn off my phone. This happens only occasionally, but when it does I usually have to install and uninstall the app which tends to get annoying. The second issue is that recently I haven't been able to go online, even when offline mode is turned off and I have full internet connection and data. Please help.

This music player has one of the worst interfaces of any music player I've used on Android. No way to access an artist's song list, shuffling an artist usually causes a song to be repeated 3-5 sequentially in the queue. Multiple songs all repeated 3-5 times. No real history list. Queue randomly resets. Widget absolutely useless. Music stops if you close all windows. No like button on the lock screen notification. Has a large selection of music and is pretty smart with suggestions.

The free version is ok, but once I got the paid subscription it was well worth the money. The only draw back I see is when playing music over bluetooth in the car, the phone volume has to be all the way up, and you really have to crank up the radio's volume to hear it good. There has been very little music I have found that they don't have.

Okay normally I super love this app, but recently the shuffling has seemed to go downhill. If I put like 4 albums in a playlist it'll just play the bottom 2 barely shuffled then play the top two the same way. I prefer a lot of variety so it's frustrating that no matter how much I try to re-shuffle it barelyyy shuffles every 3 songs. I don't know why this happened so suddenly but I've talked to others about it and they have the same problem!

The service was absolutely amazing but the recent updates have made the app almost completely unusable. Even things that have been downloaded won't load, which defeats the whole point of downloading things in the first place, and don't even get me started about the issue with the audio stopping if you lock the screen.

I love Spotify and consider their service the best one out there. I've tried Apple Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music, and Pandora Premium. Their catalogue is vast, the interface is dead simple to use and curated playlists and other music you'll love is easy to find. I also appreciate being able to block most explicit songs. It's not perfect but it works pretty well. I do feel like Pandora still does a better job at creating playlists with more music I love, but Spotify does well enough. ❤️ it!

Spotify, hands down, is the best option for listening to music these days. And don't even get me started on how worth it Spotify Premium is (my friends all have heard me rant about it over and over again) even though, I'm currently too broke to afford a poptart, let alone premium. I'd buy premium before I bought the poptart, if the money were to magically fall into my lap. Hooraayyy for Spotify, the best todayyyy!

Spotify has always been great for for the last 8 or 9 years now, and I've always been a loyal premium customer, however the last few updates have really irritated me. Now when I play spotify on my phone, just walking down the street, and my phone locks the music stops and unlock it, it starts playing g, I've checked all my phone settings and all spotify setting and nothings changed, please fix it.

The last update or two to my mobile Spotify has made it a lot more difficult to use offline, it's difficult to find my downloaded music and my offline widget has been removed from my phone menu. It will often not be able to load my searches when I have signal/data OR when I'm somewhere with no signal eg the tube, it will keep trying to search for signal instead of going into offline mode and only playing my downloaded songs. Sort it out, it's so annoying! Other than that it's a really great app!

MAJOR DEAL BREAKER you can not dislike songs on the fly, only if it's in a playlist curated by you, out someone/something else. Glad I'm not paying for this trash. It gets 1 star, it plays music, I can use the connect service which would be nice. Neither feature is very important I can't, however, tell it to never play a song for me again without making my own playlist. You should have tried harder! This is a basic feature kids! Again, glad I don't pay them for this!

I love Spotify's music catalog but the app itself is beyond frustrating. Loading up the app takes on average 2 minutes and forget trying to navigate within the app itself. The app is so slow to respond, I'll click on a song and it takes a hot minute to finally start playing it. If I skip a certain amount of songs in a row then the app just completely crashes. I have a brand new s10e and even then these issues are persistent. Really sucks because I love this music streaming service so much.

I love having unlimited music at my fingertips and everything was great until the previous update. For some reason whenever I was playing music in the background on my phone it would stop all of a sudden. The notification would should that it's still play but no music. This has been becoming more frequent since the new update.

Stops suddenly, even with Premium and in Offline Mode. I, personally, never had this problem, but I have heard of others who had it occur to them on a regular basis. Not sure what happened, but it could be a bug with a previous update. I love the App too much to let it turn to trash. Please try and fix it
