Spotify is an online music service that lets you play songs from a library of more than 20 million tracks, build playlists, and get recommendations from other members or from Spotify's own suggestion engine.

    Long time premium member. I don't know what's happened over the last couple of months. The app crashes regularly, randomly pauses, freezes, often shows wrong album art, often the play button doesn't match what's actually. No other app on my phone is experiencing these issues. I have experienced this shortly after restarts, my app and device software are all up to date. I attempted reinstalling. I love the content and interface but I'm starting to shop for a new provider. This is unacceptable.

    apk "Check your connection and try again" bug. I've been using Spotify for a long time but one day it simply stopped working on my phone, didn't let me connect using my user and password. I've uninstalled, deleted cache and storage data, and reinstalled the app 10 times and the problem persists. I'm not able to use Spotify on the go, while it works fine on the web app on my laptop or in any other device. Please fix this bug!

    download I have been using spotify for about a year now and I haven't been disappointed by anything. Edit (10/12/20): I'm having issues. Whenever I try and shuffle play my liked songs, even if I've closed the app and had it closed for awhile, it plays the song I last listened too and and even plays songs I don't have liked. Could you please explain why this is happening?

When listening to an album, if you add another album to the queue it doesn't go to the end of the queue, it goes to the slot after the song which is currently playing! So, instead of listening to one album followed by another, the album you've added to the queue interrupts the first album. This is ridiculous. As is the fact that you can't clear the queue in one go. You literally have to select each individual song first, even if that is 400! Stupid.

    After the last update the app seems to crash more often now. I uninstalled and reinstalled twice already and these issues seems to persist. I have had a rather pleasant time recently with no issues till now. So I'll be tempering my review till the next update for a fix. 10/11/20 update: After the recent update it is doing a little better now. I ran into an issue in which the music will play but I couldn't stop it until I had to restart my phone. Still getting a bit better.

    All the downloaded songs disappeared in a moment. Buggy software. No concern for customers, despite a paid application. It's high time that Spotify address this problem.     I still can't copy a link to share music. It's always 'Can't share right now, try again later'. It's getting tiresome and I've done everything that has been suggested to try to solve it myself, but it has made no difference. I love sharing music...please sort this out. I use a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 tablet, and a Samsung Galaxy S4 mobile phone.

    Recently not working. I enjoy the app because it lets me listen to my favorite songs basically on demand. Recently though, I will pick a playlist to play, and the ads will play just fine but when it comes to playing the actual music it doesn't. It'll freeze as if it's loading but never load. The background animation still works and it works when I sync to my TV. It just doesn't seem to work on my phone and that's a major bummer.

    This was a great app for a while. I could play all sorts of my favorite songs for free. But then one day, I tried to play my liked songs, but it wouldn't play them in order. And I can't select a specific song on my liked list. It would only play a certain few seconds if it. I really hope spotify fixes this problem because I really like this app.

    The best music app but still has plenty of problems. Spotify is the more reputable and reliable music app to use. Whether you pay for it or not it's going to be the best choice. As for the bugs, if you use android auto you will not have a pleasant experience. The interface is very slow and doesn't show all of your playlists. You have to pull out your phone to find the music you saved which defeats the purpose of android auto. The interface for Apple Carplay is much better and actually usable.

    Not functional. It currently always says "you're offline" and refuses to allow me to log into my account. It does it on Wi-Fi and 4G. I've only ever used it on my phone (Oneplus 7 Pro), but now I can't even get in. From what I've read online, this has been an issue for many years without a fix in sight. When I used it previously, I had issues of audio cutting out and restarting podcasts.

    It's okay only if you want to pay for it. The commericals are twice as loud than the songs and they come up a lot more often than other music services. Additionally, I've turned off the "play suggested songs after your playlist ends" option but it still plays them. Also the 30 min ad break doesn't work. More than once I've clicked the offer, watched 4 or more ads and I get a commercial about 15 mins into it. Will update when this gets fixed.

    You guys really need to update the app. I miss what it was like in 2017, the app was perfect then you guys decided to update it and for the last 2 years it's been glitchy (I have the premium version!) My music will all of the sudden top playing all the time, and I have a very new phone. Spotify is a shadow of its former self compared to what it used to be. Would be nice if I could see the album artwork at the lock screen like I used to be able to. Also, stop trying to censor Joe Rogan!!!!!!

    I can't play all podcasts nor download it yesterday. There was no issue on my subscription. I uninstalled and installed it twice today and it's worse. I can't play all the music, radio, and podcasts and the thumbnails on the music's gone. I can't even download it. I also tried restarting my phone twice and there's still no changes.     It is so utterly broken. It keeps playing after I disconnect Bluetooth, but not immediately, no it waits like 30 seconds until it will start playing again to perfectly interruptmy life. It doesn't let me play and pause because it gets stuck on the previous song and breaks the interface. It started shutting off randomly while I'm listening to it, but now it will stop playing and I'll play only to have it cut out every 10 seconds after that. It is unusable at this point.

    I love Spotify but since a couple weeks I have a lot of problems, similar to other users. The app crashes or stops playing music while my phone isn't turned on. It really sucks and I have already uninstalled the app, but it didn't get better. I also checked in my power options, if this is problem, but it ain't as well. Pls fix this!

    I just got a month free of premium to "try" it out, and downloaded a bunch of music, but it crashes all the time. Even on my downloaded music. I can understand if it's streaming, that it might have to do with my service, but obviously not. It has crashed twice in the last 30 minutes. Will definitely not be paying to keep premium!

    I've uninstalled & reinstalled to the newest update, but it still won't play in the background. All I want to do is turn off my screen, yet it stops playing music the second I do so. It's quite the battery eater, I'm only trying to save power. When I return to the app, the song or playlist I was listening to restarts from the beginning. My settings say it should play in the background. Plz fix this!

    I would typically give spotify five stars, but lately the quality has gone downhill. Now before I explain- I've already reinstalled multiple times and updated. Now, I like to listen while browsing through my apps, but now when I do, the app will close out and restart the song I was listening to. Not only that, but no longer am I able to skip songs- if I skip one, the next song will NOT play unless I close out the app and restart it, or unless I skip to the next song and multiple other issues.

    Great music options and suggestions based on your likes. Love the radios and all the suggested music to discover. However the app's interface on Apple TV is not good: you can't pick an account as you can on YouTube, therefore you have to log the other person out everytime. And when trying to log back in by entering a code on your computer or phone, the app never launches automatically on the TV and we have to repeat the same action (entering the code) many times, still no success.

    You listen to 2-4 songs, making that about 8-14 minutes of play time, and have to listen to two minutes of repetitive ads. I know there's premium, but some people (me included) just can't afford it. Also, what is with the adding songs to my playlists? Why cares if it's short, I want to listen to those songs. It swaps to recommended songs at random times and I have to restart my device to get rid of it. Just plain out obnoxious.

I have premium and it's not allowing me to change my profile picture even IF I'm on the the right device. just try to fix this sometime soon please.     I listen to Spotify every day while working and usually I have no complaints. But recently, there has been a lag in the app that whenever I listen to my liked songs, it plays the same few songs every time I open the app. Pretty much in the same order too. I have about 350 songs saved to favorites and I'm stuck listening to the same 10 every day. Please fix this issue.

    I liked this app a lot, but it has gotten more and more laggy as time has passed. It freezes, doesn't load playlists, loads songs but won't play them, takes literal minutes for podcasts to play. It's not because I need to update - I just updated yesterday. I pay for premium and I have to say the aggravation of the app dissuades me from using the service - which sucks! Because I really used to like the service!! Please fix this!

    the shuffle sucks. I dont know why it's so hard to implement a true shuffle feature. I listen to the same 20 songs on my playlists everytime. yes, my app is updated, yes I really clicked shuffle play. yes, its the same couple songs everytime. please fix this, its one of the biggest problems for the longest time and nothing has been done about it

    I gave 1 star review before because of the app malfunctioning after an update that causes the 'now playing' display freezes on one song, even after I played another song causing the app really confusing to manage. But after the latest update the app started to act normally. The developer has been very helpful in trying to solve the problem. Although they said the latest update not yet include the fixing for this particular problem, but the update fixes it anyway. So, thank you.

    It is amazing, now here's why: Now you have to have a subscription but any song you love or want to listen to it (now don't quote me) but there most likely to have it. Now if your like me you listen to it alot now spotify makes a playlist for you for all the songs you have listened to the most out of the year and makes a playlist for you! Now how cool is that? Also sometimes some songs if you click on it and if you scroll to the bottom has like a little life story about the song or artist!!!!!!!

    Pay for a premium membership and constantly connected to hi speed wifi on a new phone. Since the last update experiencing constant interruptions--stream will freeze and spit out tiny bits of broken sound until I unlock my phone, open the app, and then it works again for maybe 3 minutes (even if I set my phone screen to not time out). What the heck, Spotify? Why I am paying for this? Not to mention all my podcasts still have ads even though I pay for ad-free streaming.

    I've used Spotify for a few years now.. But it is Glitching when it connects to my car, (the people thave come forward with the same issue. It's not just my oho w. Bluetooth speakers, head phones, . I'm unable to skip ahead, when I disconnect it from the car the music does not stop. I can't pause. I close the app. Closing down all my apps, Restarting it. but the Music is still playing.. the only thing that works is to log out completely. Then sign back in.

    Always easy to use. They take what you like and listen too and make sure to give you the best mixes and the best what you may like suggestions. I would never go back to Apple and its been a couple of years and am still here liking it more and more. Just imagine really quick, waking up in the morning to your alarm and listening to whatever the radio puts out or set it to Spotify and wake up to your favorite music gradually getting louder and a mix of made by Spotify.     I'm a long time Spotify user and the state of the app right now is terrible. It'll stop working entirely, and just display the last song that was playing before dying, and stay on that songs album art / display thing. The time will continue to go up but the scrubber remains stationary. Skipping will play the next songs audio but the same song as before is displayed. So you'll get 3 songs in and see that you're on 20 minutes of a 3 minute song that isn't even playing. This happens all the time.

    Locks up randomly, some times it will "play" a song but no sound comes out. And my favorite is when they give 30 minutes of no commercials and cut it short after 2 songs. I love the multiple back to back ads to especially hearing the same ones over and over again. Sometimes it feels more like an ad player than a music player.

    I have Spotify Premium and I enjoy it. However, I have an issue with it. Some of my local files will gray out and won't play anymore and nothing I've done fixes it. Some of my favorite songs are in my local files since they aren't on Spotify and I would like this issue resolved so I don't have to constantly switch between Spotify and my phone's music player.

    By far my favorite app! Edit: Still a good app but I'm experiencing a lot of the same problems other people have. Songs will cut off when screen goes dark occasionally. When you hit play it starts from the beginning. You have to manually choose each song after one ends without having it set that way(not all the time) and the title it says is playing is not the actual title I'm listening too. It will be frozen on a song from earlier, but playing what I want.

    (3/1/20) Hey Spotify, some albums are not made to be shuffled, I have premium why can't I listen to them in order??? I select the first son then it still shuffles? Fix it please. (10/12/20) I still suffer from the same problem. It seriously makes the app disruptive. If I had to buy the album I would have just bought it instead of using spotify.

    Just one problem! The app experience is so far so good over the years and recently switched to premium few months ago. The only thing that I really want is to have a full dedicated lyrics tab to each song I listen to and also have them show it in real time. I don't know why It hasn't been a feature yet as the competition has them.

    Really great app, love the personal features like songs recommendations and daily mixes, just one thing that I'd really love to make this 5 stars, and that is having the desktop features on mobile!!!!! e.g. be able to change playlist covers, see what others are listening to on your mobile or ipad as well as on desktop. If these changes were made, an easy 5 stars. :)

    Spotify is pushing it's free users away with the amount of ads nowadays. It used to be one 15-30 second ad for 30 minutes ad-free music. Now I just spent 3 minutes watching ads, and then my app stopped after a couple songs and I had to watch 5 more ads to get back my 30 minutes. Really disappointing experience nowadays, is Spotify becoming the new YouTube? Seems like it. Edit: 12 minutes later more ads. I counted. Going down to 1 star from 2.

    I love that I can listen to Spotify on my computer or my TV and switch it to my phone when I am leaving home. It is just so easy to switch it to another device! I rated this one star lower than five because there are certain albums or songs that are just not in the vast Spotify search. I would love to listen to these songs and I am unable to do that in just one music app.

    A very nice app for music BUT, i get logged out every month. When I try to login with Facebook it says no account connected and when I try to create a new account, it says email is already connected. When I try to login, it says you're offline and flashes a message that an email link is sent to your email. When I open the link it says the link expired. And I am left trying these steps again n again but not getting ahead. Please solve this issue of my account and I will give 5stars.

    It has its ups and downs. Sometimes I hate it. Sometimes it works perfectly. One of the downs is it used to be after every song and add would play. Now adds barely play. The thing I do hate is when I watch that 30 sec video so I can have 30 mins add free it does 10 mins add free. Lord please fix that. Other than that really nice app. 8/10 recommended

    Everytime I try and search for an artist playlist or I hear a song and try to search for that artist the app tells me I have no internet. The only way to fix it is to turn the phone off and back on and then the fix is only temporary. Sometimes it won't let me search at all. This is the only app I have problems with so I'm led to believe it is not a phone issue. Edit: Since my original review came with no response things have changed very little. I have to delete the app at least once a week.

    Stupid app. Its too easy to accidentally click on a hearted song in your liked songs playlist and unlike it and loose it forever. What idiot engineer thought this was a good idea to design it that way? There needs to be a way to undo a recent action in case your finger brushes against it.     I love the fact that I can listen to basically whatever I want, and that I don't have to pay... However, multiple times I have had it give me the 30 min ad free listening option, only to play 5 more ads after one or two songs. Or playing 5 ads in a row and not even giving me the promised 30 min ad free. Just now I had it try to play an ad, only to freeze and now I can't get rid of the ad. I get that ads come with the territory when you use the free version, but this is ridiculous.

    I love Spotify, but 4 things annoy me. 1. Does't allow the music to be interrupted when receiving phone calls. I keep missing them because of this. 2. Does't have controls in the android drop down menu. I either have to go to the app or lock my screen to pause or skip a song. I have an S9 and find myself uninstalling and reinstalling the app far too often to get it to function flawlessly. After a while, it plays up again.     First few weeks were good. Now, for several weeks/months the streaming quality is just bad. Songs pause, even the adverts will cut out for 5-15 seconds. I have over a dozen songs in my Liked category. When I hit Shuffle, not only does it not shuffle my liked so as, it will play a song that I dont have liked. I have Heavy and Death Metal liked...why would I have Justin Bieber and Cardi b as liked songs? Have more issues but review space is limited

    My Spotify glitches quite often. I wasn't able to connect it to my bluetooth in my car until I uninstalled and reinstalled it because the "listening on this phone option was stuck" I get many glitches like this. Then when I try other apps or other phones there is no connection issue. Only the Spotify app. I love Spotify and use it as my primary music app I just feel maybe some updates have made it difficult to use on my phone. I have a samsung galaxy note 9.     Good app and I love Spotify but the recent bugs for pixel phones need to be addressed. Using wires headphones on other services works perfectly fine, but for some reason on Spotify it doesn't work. I've tried clearing the cache, reinstalling Spotify, and restarting my phone and none of the above has fixed the issue.     About once every day or so, for the last few weeks, the playback screen or bar at the bottom of the app will freeze and glitch out. Even though I'll be playing a new song, it'll still show an old song I was previously listening to as playing. Closing, restarting, and updating the app does not fix the issue.

    Update : Moving upto 5. Looks like all licensing issues are sorted and all music is available. Spotify Connect with Fire Stick is super cool.     My "liked songs" won't appear, it just says "your liked songs will appear here," even though I have 1,400+ favorites.     The service it provides is great and I recommend premium but by god one of the most annoying things is when I queue a bunch of songs in the Whats Next queue, tab out of the app to connecf my blue tooth speaker, and when I go back, the queue is gone. If I reset to the beginning of a half played song, it goes back to where it was before I changed it... Eithet fix your goddamn app or give me a save button to make sure what I do is actually REMEMBERED! It happens like 90% of the time.

    Creating, downloading, & organizing playlists is a breeze. There are a few issues though, while the song database is very comprehensive there's still gonna be times you can't get well-known songs & then there's the changing of Playlist cover photo which can ONLY be changed on pc which is really stupid since most people probably using on phone.     I left Slacker to come here for to many commercials. It's been good but now Spotify is adding to many commercials.     The content is great, the app is not. Apparently the queue function only works when it wants, and it functions as it is supposed often, but it is NOT DEPENDABLE, at least once a week. There is always little issues like freezing and just not playing, but these are usually fixed, the problem with these is that they keep happening o a regular occurrence. If it wasn't for the extensive content I would have dropped this app years ago.

    I just got spotify premium last month and it was fine for first week or two. Now it constantly glitches. It will stop playing, skip ahead, sometimes play button won't work, it will continually show a song as playing even though it has ended. The removal of the recently played tab at the bottom is a little frustrating and you there are less options in library tab.     UPDATE 10/8 - After working with spotify tech support and sending all of my troubleshooting details with video screenshots of the issue, Spotify confirmed there was an issue with the app and that it was being looked into. After the latest update everything is working as expected. Spotify app originally had no issues. Now, since the latest updates it randomly crashes, will get stuck showing the last song played, and sometimes will completely freeze and not let me choose any songs.

    Worst app for Podcasts but pretty good for music I assumed that when I switched from Google Play and Stitcher back to Spotify recently that the ability to create and maintain a queue would be easy but this app UI is one of the worst. It not only doesn't maintain a queue of podcasts or music very well but when trying to modify the UI locks up and freezes so any attempt to modify doesn't work. And don't bother restarting the app because it doesn't help. I would recommend others over this.

    The longer I'm using this app the worse it goes. When I leave phone for some time like one or more hours on idle it can took even ONE minute to launch and another minute just to play music.     The quality of the app justifies the ticket price of premium. Seamless and easy to use. The search algorithm has improved quite a bit. --- EDIT: Spotify is NOT stable with Android 11 as of 10/2/2020. Frequent freezes, non-responsiveness that makes you force stop the application to get it to work again, and Chromecasting is now a nightmare.     Video ads only play audio followed by audio of selected music but no player or album picture or anything comes up. I used to have a subscription, canceled it when spotify started giving me major lag problems. I checked in again because I have a smart watch that would let me use spotify,m.     This app is messy and above all, BUGGY! Search is broken. Queue won't update when playing a new album. Sometimes songs just stop and just go to the next track, or just stop altogether. Sometimes pages won't load. Lots of different smaller bugs as well that just absolutely make using this app extremely frustrating. Why is the cast option hidden and not up at top? This app feels really outdated. I'm only using it because my friends use it. Otherwise, it has been such an awful experience.

    App performance has tanked this past week. Selecting a song has about a 25% chance of actually doing anything, even with a solid internet connection. The UI will frequently glitch out and won't change the track, letting the "timer" exceed the actual length of the song perpetually. Restarting the app doesn't fix issues either. The app has become almost totally unusable in the span of a week or two. Been a loyal patron for six years, but now I can't believe I'm paying ten bucks a month for this.

    Recently, I cannot connect spotify on my mobile to any other device (streaming), particularly to a Marantz pre-amplifier with HEOS. Before the recent couple of updates it used to connect perfectly. This was the only reason why I was paying the premium fee, now I hesitate to continue to pay it; probably I need to go for Roon.

    My phone (pixel xl 1) upgraded to Android 10 a few weeks ago and I've had problems since... 2-3s delay between inputs on my phone, album art on downloaded songs not showing, app hanging (still playing music after I've closed it). I just deleted the app for a fresh install and now the in app Facebook login doesn't work and I'm locked out of my prenium account.. Please patch this janky app :)

    Great to listen to my music but why can i not set it to just download onto my memory card? Everytime i try to deselect internal storage the checkmark doesnt go away and it begins to download everything again and use all my internal memory until my phone wont work. Please fix this! I just want to see and know that i only have the one optuon selected. If the checkmark doesnt disapear how do i know? I dont, i cant tell.

    This is THE BEST app for music you can ever get!! Well done for the people who made this app. Spotify is for free! You can choose all your artists and songs snd albums that you like. You can even like your albums and songs and remove them. If anybody has not installed this app yet, yoy should know, if you do, it would not be a waste of time. Only premium causes some money.     Bugs bugs bugs. I thought I was the only person having problems with Spotify but I talked to a few people as well as go through the review sections and it looks like I'm not alone.     I normally love Spotify and all that it gives but this recent update... It's something. I play on Xbox and when I play music on Xbox - Spotify. I like to have it in the background lowered on my phone but this update has disabled the feature. I am very disappointed 😞. This problem is only on Xbox.. Please allow us to change the volume on our phone when connected to a different device...

    Very intuitive and simple to use app which has become the industry standard, with great default playlists for every music genre, artist or country and spot on recommendations that are suggested when you complete a playlist. The only obvious missing feature in mobile app is the ability to arrange your saved playlists at preferred hierarchy.

Altho I think u should be able to add a song to multiple playlists at once because I'm lazy, and actually report explicit content (says u can but never lets you) so I know I can just let the playlist run around my little bro but otherwise great app!     I gave the app a five star review previously, not so much any more. Glitches and bugged to the core. Normal features like rewinding and forwarding doesn't work, screwing up while casting to my Google speaker, pausing and playing in an endless loop. Well done to the developers, your recent update makes me want to quit Spotify.

    1. Won't play in the background and will use all your data listening to JRE unless you play in airplane mode. Even if you download the podcast it will stream data for the video during playback. 2. Takes 10-30 seconds from when you hit play to actually start playing (podcasts). 3. Drops playback for downloaded podcasts if you move from wifi to off wifi. For example when I start my daily drive from my house. I have to close and reopen the program while driving to get it to start again.

    I really loved Spotify when it first hit the apps and I don't want to say it's bad, cuz it's not. It gets old and it's formatting seems less personal which was ONE of my favorite things about it. So, I think it's really preference that makes sense I switched to Amazon Music it's much more to like me and my liking! A I'm NEVER GONNA CHANGE IT!     Some have noted this recently, but Spotify has been acting unstable for me as of the last few weeks. A lot of the time when I select a song, the current song pop up menu won't show. It won't have a notification control either so this means I cannot skip, or adjust where the time is on the song. Additionally, the song may not match up with the song actually playing. Usually this is when I switch to a different playlist it'll show the song from the last one, but out loud it'll play the new song.

    Usually a great app, worthy of 5 stars, but lately I find myself having to force stop the app and restart. Either that, or I have to uninstall it completely and reinstall, as Spotify will show one song as playing, when the song playing is, in fact, a completely different one. It is becoming increasingly annoying to deal with - I hope this issue is resolved soon.

    So I just updated my spotify after a long time and now when I tap on album it doesn't show me all the songs in the album the way it did before. It just shows shuffle play and a bunch of mixed songs from different albums that the artist released. This is annoying seeing as we cant access the songs from the album that we want.

    I like the streaming app. In fact, I switched to this one from I had been using for years. I am having a difficult time taking my Playlist off shuffle. I know this may seem elementary but I'm not sure how to remove the shuffle 🔀. Would like some guidance if possible. I wonder if is because I am using two different platforms.... Apple and Android.

    I got this app a few weeks ago and I really loved it compared to other apps I've used for music but the new update won't let me listen to songs in my liked songs playlist from beginning to end it's just little clips from the songs and won't let me play them fully I really hope it'll be changed to what it was like before the update I also don't like that it's adding random songs to my other playlists.

    Lately, I find the app's performance keeps dropping. The most annoying glitch is when I'll be listening to a song, and when the audio moves on to the next song the screen remains on the first song. I can change to different artists, rewind, fast-forward, pause, but the screen stays on that first song. For me, closing and restarting the app doesn't work. Switching devices does not work either. Fix this.

    My absolute favorite app for music! I have worked in data for nearly 6 years now and luckily I have had Spotify to listen to that entire time. Studies show that once people reach their late 20s to early 30s, they stop dealing out new music and begin listening to a handful of old favorites from when they grew up. Spotify keeps me constantly finding new talent and developing a greater appreciation for all genres. I'm so thankful to have an app like Spotify & I highly recommend playing for premium.

    I've been a huge fan of spotify premium for a few years, but recently I'm having troubles with the app. When listening to playlists, sometimes (about 1/10) a song will just refuse to play. It'll play the first few seconds and then stop. I can skip to the next or previous song, which play fine. It's super annoying to constantly have to restart the app. I hope this bug will get fixed soon!

    I've been using spotify for more than two years, and in all that time it hasn't given me much trouble, but recently I've witnessed a lot of glitches in the platform, my songs get stuck and I can't go backwards or forwards and the only way it stops is closing the app, another thing that happens is that when I want to download an album or song it never actually downloads, it just says, "waiting to download" and it never downloads, I'm truly disappointed 🤦🏻‍♂️

    Ever since the latest update I can't listen to any podcasts. They all say "no episodes available for this podcast. Please try again later." Sometimes it will briefly flash the episode list, then give me the error message. I'm also having similar playback issues as everyone else. I have already tried restarting my phone and reinstalling the app. Used to use this app daily and recommend it to everyone, now I'll have to find a new one that works

    TRASH! More ads than radio. Tells you if you click to watch a short video you'll have half hour of no ads uninterrupted music. Click it and watch it and 2 songs later 2 minutes (4 ads 30 seconds each) of ads. Just now i clicked to watch the video (for the 30 minutes of no ads as they claim) and had 4 ads IMMEDIATELY AFTER the video was done! Too expensive for paid subscription. Shouldn't cost as much as Netflix who provides movies and shows. This is music.

    Have been a premium member for almost a year now. Love the app, UI. The playlists are amazing, I can totally connect it on any of my devices. I love how they don't spam with constant notifications and reminders. The streaming quality is great. But of late, the app has started crashing quite often. Hope they fix it soon enough for me to not shop for another provider in the market. Most of the bollywood songs are still not available on the app.

    Always had spotify, and use it daily but in the past few weeks, the past week especially, I just cannot get it to work. It crashes, its hit and miss if I can search music or even load my own playlist, connected to my car and won't play music, it won't load, even when connected to WiFi and when it does happen to work, if i click a different song, it won't change. I pay for premium and am really unhappy with it at the moment. Im paying £9.99 for an app that doesn't even work. 🙄 please sort it!

    Mediocre at best. Very difficult to find and add new songs and artists as spotify always starts playing a list of suggested songs instead. algorithm does not improve with usage and the much touted 15 song minimum is utter bunk. the one plus side is you're not forced into radio mode and can hear the music you want once you struggle past the suggested songs problem and build a large enough playlist

    Honestly the best of all world's. I just want more content. And the ability to remove artists I hate (I'm talking about you U2/Nickelback/Kid Rock) from all facets. When I toggle a band to not be heard, I want my version of any radio station or playlist I find to automatically remove those bands and artists from said stations and playlists, whether I'm the playlist creator or not.

    One problem I have with spotify is it just deciding to turn off when I'm listening to music, another is the ads, I get they have to pay the creators but you dont need to show me an ad every 10 minutes although I do click the press now listen to an ad so you dont have to later but it still doesnt work, also the number if skips you get which 6 isnt enough I cant afford premium but please make it like 15 or something please.Spotify if you read this review please fix this, otherwise its good.

    I have premium but that's really only good for removing ads. I'm starting to wonder if it's worth it anymore. Songs will be removed or region locked without any warning despite being available before, they could at least add some little disclaimer as to why a song is unavailable when you select it. Adding local files is completely useless if you want to listen to your music on the go as it only works on the desktop version. Reporting a song for explicit content is broken and has been for years!!

    So, ever since last update, I've been getting this neat little feature where, when I get the option to get *30* of unintrupted listening, I only get about 5 to 10 minutes without ads. I wish it was more like the PC version, where you get 2 or 3 ads ever 15 minutes for the ability to skip any amount of songs and be able to play whatever song you want, instead of being lied to and getting bad songs out of a random rotation.

    The app has been having glitches recently. One of them is when the ad that says to watch an ad for ad free music for 30 minutes. When I press the button watch now, it plays the ad like normal but when the ad is over another ad goes on. That's not it either, when I skipped a song it played an ad even though I just watched an ad to get 30 minutes ad free music. So I hope this comment gets read by the developer team so that this issue can be solved.

    I have recently begun having constant issues with the app not being controllable. The play and pause features don't work often, or lag by many seconds. The display isn't in synch with the playing song. The app starts playing suddenly on its own. The connection to the car through Bluetooth isn't showing the song that is playing until minutes later. The app keeps playing on the phone after the car is shut off. The only way to control the app is by killing it. Let's fix this.

    Downloaded albums goes missing randomly, time to time had to download most of the albums again. The app goes crazy if internet becomes slow, even the downloaded songs does not play unless the app manully switched to the offline. Daily mixes can not be managed as good as before, unliked artists or songs keep disappearing. The app used to be better in the past

    I am incredibly annoyed at the moment. Spotify will randomly stop working, as if it's gone to sleep, when phone is not being used. This means I continuously have paused moments during exercise and driving, until I pull over and unlock my phone again. It's only just started to occur this week. I can see others are having the same issue. The problem needs to be rectified before I move on and find another platform to use.

The app is broken, just like the last review says.. it freezes, I can't turn it off I was at an appointment, and couldn't turn off the app while the music was playing!? It was just awfully embarrassing. I'm scared to use this app before something important, don't want to risk something like that again... Do something about it!

    Update - everything has been fixed in new update...... I absolutely love spotify and have used it for at least 8 years and never once had a problem until now. It freezes randomly, shows a different song than what's playing, it will randomly stop or pause songs. It's just very annoying as I use Spotify almost everyday.

    Crashing/malfunctioning! I don't know if it's because of the latest update or what, it keeps crashing and doesn't display the song I'm actually playing!!!     Eh. I like PC version better, de to being able to pick and listen to one at a time. As well as going to whatever part of a song i'd like. Although I'm fine with shuffle, too. I don't have data, so no matter what spotify I use it's always at home. Except I can't always use my.laptop. My audio playback speed has become a tad bit faster recently, too. Updated, reinstalled, rebooted device, nothing works. It's just spotify too. Motorola e6.

    I love spotify and I use it alot but lately I've been having problems with it. When I play a song the song in the songbar freezes. I am still able to pause it and fast forward but when I go to the next song the song in the songbar is not the one thats playing. I also noticed it doesn't come up in my notifications. I tried uninstalling the app, logging out, restarting my phone and it works but after awhile it goes back to freezing again. How do I fix this and get back to normal?

    Got the premium version and it works just fine and as intended. Never crashed on me, I got my playlists and the recommendations are pretty spot on, too. Also use it on PS4 while playing and can switch songs with my phone or PC, so that's pretty useful. The price for premium is fair for what it has to offer. Overall I am quite happy with Spotify.

    Have had premium for about a year now and it's been great aside from the fact that updates to the app cause it to glitch out. Currently only able to get 3-5 seconds of playback before the app pauses whatever I'm playing. I'm now using Google Podcasts to get through my day. Dev, please fix and I will change the rating.

    Intermittently GUI doesn't reflect Pause after pausing song, or is stuck on play and must be force closed to stop playback. If the player freezes unknowingly when switching to a new playlist the player will display the old information and will not update info to current track being played. When this happens playback on a Bluetooth device still shows last song as playing, not the current song actually playing. Sometimes playback occurs while using audio in another app such as Youtube.

    The Spotify playlist options are very good, but the app is kind of sketchy. It tends to crash out any time any other app plays any sound, which means I can't just keep it on in the background. And when it does crash, it makes you sit through a bunch of ads again to get to the music. Only worthwhile if you won't be doing anything else with your device at the time, IMO.

    Updated a couple days ago and now it won't keep it's place on playlist. Every time I close and reopen I have to choose a playlist and start it again. I've tried it on both online and offline mode. It's annoying because I drive deliveries, and every time I stop I have to choose the playlist I was just listening to and then find where I left off.

    5 stars but on my phone (moto z² force) there are bugs every now and then. for example it not displaying the right song and me not being able to interact with it. really like everything the app does. totally worth the money. i would also enjoy more genre based feedback. what stuff i listen to and what genre a song or band is.

    Clearly, the update glitched many peoples apps out, including mine. The app would keep running, even after I paused it and I can't find it on my lock screen to pause. Music will stop playing when my phone's screen locks out. Music will also just randomly stop. The worst thing is that it glitches when my phone is connected tobluetooth. I commute to work so this is ridiculous for when I want to listen to music. The app "freezes" so I can't switch the songs.

    I decided to try Premium, and I really like it. I have found podcasts for learning French, music by niche bands that I haven't been able to find elsewhere, and I can download my playlists for offline listening. If you can afford a subscription for a music streaming service, I highly recommend Spotify

    I've been using Spotify for a couple of weeks now and I've been having a blast. But this new update is horrible! I have absolutely no control over my playlist or any song of my choice. I can't listen to a song individually on it's own without Spotify forcing me to shuffle an entire playlist. Also I can't jump from song to song of my liking on my own playlist, it just forces me to let the playlist go on it's own and I don't like that. If I make a playlist I should be able to control how I listen.

    Great music selection but the app sucks. Navigating to liked albums/artists is weak and connecting to Google home devices is super buggy. I have to keep restarting the app to make it stop skipping and it will often forget which album I'm listening to in the song navigation controls. If Google play wasn't shutting down, I'd drop spotify in an instant. YouTube music app is even worse so for now, I'm stuck with spotify

    I've been using this app for a long time now and for all this while, the rating for this app is 5/5. But now, my downloaded songs keep on being transfered into my device instead of the SD card which causes a lot of problems for me. Until you correct this mistake, I will not change the rating.

    It's a good app to listen to good music of just about every genre under the sun. You need the premium subscription to listen to specific songs, skip more than 5 times or avoid ads every 30 minutes... otherwise you get what you pay for whether you have the free version or the paid version.
