Great for tablets such as the Viewsonic gTablet, Motorola Xoom, Galaxy Tab 10.1, ASUS Transformer!

Works great with the Motorola Bluetooth Keyboard and Apple Wireless Keyboard on Xoom and Galaxy Tab 10.1. Honeycomb support for the tablet form factor as well as HDMI out on the Xoom. Works well with Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 keyboard dock.

If you are having trouble with the soft keyboard on HTC phones like the Desire HD or Thunderbolt, try changing to another soft keyboard. Seems like the HTC soft keyboard has some issues with BTEP, but other keyboards work fine. Hacker's Keyboard is my new favorite keyboard for use with BTEP.

Now includes Frotz and the classic Colossal Cave Adventure game in the enhanced utilities for fun. Busybox has recently been updated to support SMP systems, ie, in "top."

I'm using a Logitech Revue with the full sized keyboard. There's an issue with getting some of the symbolic keys to send properly. Hopefully, this will be fixed in later releases. Also, switching in between running terminals is kludgy. The text rendering on my HD TV is gorgeous. So, if you can work around the two tiny issues, this is a great terminal app to have on your A/V system.

Asus TF300 Truly a joy to use; ssh is as smooth as butter (though I can't seem to get encryption keys to work. No biggie though) and bundling vim is an absolute Godsend. If I had to complain about something, it would be that I can't seem to be able to find vimrc or similar (I really need line numbers), or something like rsync. If those get sorted, I'd have to find a sixth star to award this app. Very nice

I wrote a review of this app on 5/16/2015 in which I said this has been my go-to app for years until it quit working with that particular update. Well, you *still* can't contact the developer, and the current version *still* crashes when you summon the OSK. Seriously, what is going on? Running a Nexus 4 using Android 5.1.1. Nothing weird or customized. EDIT: 12/21/15... Still no response, or resolution, from the author. I guess this is petty much abandonware.

I'm using this App with the Hacking & Developing Keyboard, and let's just say, I couldn't do my work without it. Easily the best terminal for Android, far outpaces the competition, including the Bot that starts with Connect. Using the H&DK app with it really kicks this app to Eleven.

Simply, worth every penny. I am not going to comment on every single feature this package has. I am sure they are all great and I am going to use a lot of them. However, I have to pick one little app from the extras. Frotz! Dear friend, never ever remove this great addition from the package please. The original Frotz you are giving us just as a little gift is way better than any and all the android interactive fiction interpreters around. I will definitely recommend your application not only to those looking for such a great toolbox but also to everyone looking for an IF interpreter. Thank you for making my life a bit better!

Works good as an ssh client. I like that the keyboard doesn't try to auto correct Unix commands. There is one major issue though. The only way I've found to clear an invalid host key is to remove and reinstall the app. Otherwise, once you accept a key it is permanent because the known hosts file is located in a directory that the user can't access. I'm on a Galaxy Note 5 running Android 6.0.1.

Have loved this app, but the latest rev has a major bug on my rooted 4.4 Nexus 10 tablet - it can't resolve hostnames when attempting to ssh. Not a router problem, as it has the same issue when tethered to my phone. It works fine on the phone though, so the bug appears confined to the tablet.

Minor issue: Check spelling of "logging" in Preferences...in one place, you'll see it's "Loggging", though certainly it doesn't affect app's behavior. I resolved my issue with using A.I. type keyboard through this app's preference settings, so I can fully recommend this app.

  9. Vorian King-avatar

Since the last update, the app doesn't disable shift key use; I'll capitalize a letter, and then all other letters are capitalized, special characters show up, and keyboard shortcuts cause massive issues. Occasionally hitting shift again and typing a few letters fixes this, usually I have to completely close the app and reopen to get rid of it. Tested on two devices, same problem. This used to be great.

This is perfect for my TF101 - but it can't display non-latin characters at all and silently drops the character - leading to confusion. Can you please correct this? EDIT: It's been awhile now... where's UTF8 support? I'd give this less stars but for now the lack of UTF8 is only an annoyance.
