Twotrack is a simple, powerful audio recorder that allows overdubbing and mixing to a stereo master track. It's ideal for musicians who want to record a rhythm track to play over, or it can simply be used for higher quality recordings than the standard voice recorder. Record, then mix it to the master track (known as "bouncing" in the old school!), then record something over that, mix it, and keep going until you have all the parts you want. Use it for multitrack recording and music production on the go or for recording quick ideas in your home studio! Used widely by rappers, musicians and songwriters for vocals, beatboxing, guitar, and other instruments. Great for rap, great for practicing. When overdubbing, it's important to use headphones. Features: recording in 16 bit 44.1kHz wav file format adjust the timing of your overdub to the master track single level undo import mp3 and wav files export as mp3 free version is fully functional - just has ads as well records in the background as a service, so you can play to a metronome or loop, or check your mail Library and license info: Twotrack uses the open source libmobailmusik library (https://github.com/motekulo/libmobailmusik), which is released under the Apache 2.0 license: http://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0

For a one man development this is a SPLENDIDLY done app. I've spent ages looking for a simple multitrack recorder to jot down song ideas or test harmonies, but every other app is overly complicated with so many features I don't need. This app strips away the clutter and offers the core fundamentals for a simple multitrack recording - volume, playback, record, mix, even latency adjustment. Only improvement would be to save the .mp3 file directly to phone. A 5 star, powerful tool for any musician.

Doesn't work, record, playback, bounce track nothing. I tried uninstalling, reboot then reinstall,,,. Same scenario, nada! Please help

Absolutely pants, cuts out in the middle of a song and the sound quality when you overdub is rubbish but apart from that it's rubbish.

Exactly what I'm looking for, simple and easy to use and look at. Everything else has too much stuff that I don't need just for getting ideas down.

TRUELY a clever design! However, need one IMPORTANT improvement. That is, built in metronome with tempo controller. Thanq very much!

This is a decent app. Does what it says it will do. Fairly simple to use yet very hard to master. I only gave it 3 stars because there is always clipping on my longer recordings and also because you can't overdub at any particular part of the master. It's either the whole way through or not at all. This means scrapping and redoing the whole overdub if you mess up a small part. It's very frustrating to to nail a total banger only to redo it all because you hit one wrong note at the end.

The bounce is always full of clipping artefacts no matter how the volume of each track is set prior to pressing MIX. This renders it unusable. The GUI is unresponsive and poorly designed, the faders for each track need to be much larger if one is to have accurate control. It also feels like the faders are scaled linearly, the curve feels strange. Fair enough, this is a free app but these technical and design faults leave much room for improvement.

I really like it. Unique multitrack recorder app with simple interface and easy way to line up the start-times so it syncs nicely when mixed. I can keep layering on as much as I want, even though it's only "twotrack". Files are saved as wav by default, and can be exported to mp3 and shared. Great for idea-taking for budding composers, or singing in harmony with yourself. Using headphones is a must. 1 star off because recording quality is so-so, and there's no way to adjust recording sensitivity.

I love this app!!! So I hope there will be more improvements as we update because it's such a convenient way to record on your phone when you have an idea. The way that it saves however is a little inconvenient because it saves as project and overdub. sometimes I cant tell which one I'm erasing because it saves in either or.

Its a great app for two tracks. No latency issues except if I record one track with the phone microphone then the second with headphones microphone. No big deal. Also very easy to convert file format to send and has all the options of various apps you want to send to.. I suggest this app as its incredibly simple to use for this 66 year old non tech guy. I downloaded so many recording apps that require watching YouTube videos because of the learning curve. My hats off to the developers. Good job.
