A fairly solid and reliable app available on multiple platforms. And no nagging or advertisements

Love the features and concept. One of the few soft phones that triggers our music on hold from our sip pbx correctly. Some issues I noticed is that audio gets very distorted when other notifications are displayed on the Android phone. This is distracting as you can't hear the other party until the notification ends. There is an echo when setting up a conference call and you can't easily switch to other accounts if configured. Other than that, it works.

Great SIP app with one huge flaw - linphone doesn't match sip message recipient against a table of outgoing connections per account. Linphone thinks it should get messages sent to user@domain, but Asterisk and other pbx systems send messages to user@users-aor. Which could 100% be matched against outgoing connections, to identify the right linphone account to receive the message, fixing the issue entirely. There is a bug that really needs fixing. Sip messages are broken, but the rest is good.

Good when it works. Has been crashing a lot after opening it. Restarting the phone doesn't help and it is up to date.

After reading an article from early 2017 about dialing using a second account (not the default) it is obvious this doesnt deserve a high rating. Switching the default should be as simple as tapping a button. In csipsimple you tapped maybe twice. You didnt have to go into settings. This needs simplification and after at least 3 years they should have provided a solution. So, not good considering all of the other nuisance bugs that haven't been fixed.

I love supporting open source projects, and I've used versions of Linphone off and on for years. That said... The UI isn't incredibly intuitive and would be better if it was more of a simple "dialer" app. By default, my internal dialing plan wouldn't work as LP prefixed 1+ to every call but editing the SIP account settings remidied that. Dealbreaker is that LP seems to provide its own hold music that overlaps with the MOH from the server with no option to disable it.

Was great until the last update. On a Motorola e5, as soon as the app starts my Bluetooth earbuds quit working in ALL apps. I have to disable Linphone on boot & restart the phone to get them back. A dealbreaker for me, unfortunately. Been using this for years. Need a replacement now. Switched to Zoiper. Not happily.

    Happy Now?

My laptop's linphone client can call my phone with no problem, however, whenever I initiate a call to my laptop from my phone, the line keeps on ringing despite me accepting the call on my laptop. It seems like I'm in a call but my phone will continuously beep as if I never accepted the call on my laptop end. I'm going to have to use another sip client for now but plz fix.

More useless than a bag of hair. I couldn't get it to connect. It just kept saying "connection failed". No response? Hostname lookup fail? Auth failure? Your guess is as good as mine.

Since the lastest version (4.2.3), all numbers you dial will have a leading '+1', which makes it impossible to use for international calls. Even extension-to-extension calls fail. It's a shame, our company is moving away from Linphone
