Want or thinking be come an Audiophile? Take a tone test... After trying various tone generators on Google Play, this app is the best. No "pops" or "clicks" like other tone generator apps. By the way, if you are able to hear from 30hz to 17khz without increasing the volume, you may consider yourself possessing a pair of "golden ears".... Oh, don't forget to use a pair of good closed headphones. :) PS: According to my Yokogawa oscilloscope, these frequencies are accurate to 1% (using a LG Optimus 4x HD).

First, it worked "out of the box", and I was listening to tones immediately. Bravo! Second, I have tinnitus of near a single pitch. Playing a tone instantly reduced the ringing in my head. I still need to find the correct pitch.

Pops are worrying me. I don't use sweep for that reason.( Use a limiter if using sweep at high volumes ) I needed a 1hz tone and this appears to be accurate judging by other uses

Be careful not to use the high frequencies around dogs. I heard nothing, but my poor pup leaped from his bed and is hiding under the couch and shaking now. The cat can hear it too, but she doesn't care. Having tested this on several devices, I can say results vary drastically by device due to their internal speakers. And higher end phones aren't necessarily better for this app. A Blu R1 HD, a budget phone if there ever was one, was more accurate with frequency output than a Samsung Galaxy S6. The S6 did nothing but hiss at frequencies above 16khz.

Thanks for the wonderful app. Log function is great. Individual Hz step buttons is wonderful. Any chance we could get 1hz and 10hz jumps? Also, I am not sure if this is possible, but I have been doing some research regarding < 1Hz frequencies. I am using some android devices as LFOs, but need them to go slower. Any ideas?

A generally great app is a let down a little by pops between frequencies and audio output pause/interruption on device orientation change/screen rotation. Though not essential, UI could use a little polish. Tested on N7.

This frequency generator works well, and seems to be bug free, only thing that would make it better is the ability to generate multiple frequencies simultaneously.

Believe it or not, in using this for university research... I can say that with some degree of confidence, the tones are pretty close to where they should be (FFT analysis), but I'm sure it depends on your device.

Great app, does exactly what it says. Just beware of the in app volume control, it isn't always interlinking. Therefore what you expect to be a quiet tone, turns out to be loud... A bug me thinks.

Used it to experimentally determine the speed of sound in my physics lab today. We got less than 1% error.
