- Increased sound quality (less noise)
- Support for 3rd party modules
- Support for raw sound source on most phones
- USB-Headphones can be used
- Bluetooth-Headphones are now recognized
swissHear is a scientific hearing aid created by professional software engineers in cooperation with academic R&D teams. swissHear helps in many situations: at home watching TV, at work, in restaurants, movie theaters, concert halls or discussing with friends. swissHear uses the microphones and earphones of your smartphone. Low voices will be amplified, loud noises in your surroundings will be softened; just like a healthy ear. Using a novel technology, swissHear brings back sound to your life.
Fitting a hearing aid is not like buying glasses. Your hearing has decreased slowly over a long time and your brain was able to compensate. You only start noticing that you have a hearing problem, when your brain is at it's wits' end. Using a hearing aid will make noises explode in your head, because all compensation mechanisms are set to maximum. Please give your brain a few weeks time to recalibrate it's audio system...
Start your daily training in a simple situation with only one person talking in a low voice. Increase complexity slowly to avoid frustration.
There is no hearing aid on the market that will allow you to follow a group discussions in a loud restaurant. But in this kind of environment it is possible to put your device in front of your partner and hear his voice using the 'Basic Amplifier' module of swissHear.
swissHear will ask for some permissions that are needed to recognise incoming phone calls, save settings, update modules from the Internet and use the audio system of your phone or tablet.
