TRACK ACTIVITY: Accurately record your steps and distance with MobileTrack when you carry your phone. For all-day tracking of stats like calories burned, active minutes, and sleep, pair the app with a Fitbit tracker.

RUN SMARTER: Enhance runs, walks and hikes by using MobileRun to track your pace, time and distance. You can also control your music, get voice cues and use your phone’s GPS to map your routes. (Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.)

RECORD WORKOUTS: Use your Fitbit tracker to track your exercise, then check the app to see your stats, their impact on your day, and how your performance is improving.

MONITOR HEART RATE: Use a Fitbit tracker with PurePulse™ to analyze heart rate graphs in the app. Identify trends, manage stress and see the results of your workouts. Review resting heart rate trends to see when your fitness is improving.

LOG FOOD FASTER: Easily log calories with our barcode scanner, calorie estimator, and expanded food database of more than 350,000 foods. See your meal history at a glance, and get nutritional insights.

SHARE & COMPETE: Connect with friends and family by sharing stats, sending direct-messages, and competing on the leaderboard or in Fitbit Challenges.

STAY MOTIVATED: Get a nudge in the right direction with notifications that pop up when you’re close to reaching a goal or have already met one.

SYNC WIRELESSLY: Fitbit trackers sync your stats to computers and 200+ leading devices so you can continuously track your progress without needing to plug in.

MANAGE WEIGHT: Connect wirelessly to the Aria Scale to seamlessly track your weight, BMI, lean mass and body fat percentages, and to see your weight trends over time.

Reviews From google play store

The app has a potential, however, the sync, the point of it, doesn't work most of the time, or you have to go through several workarounds like forgetting the connected device, reinstalling the app, reconnect the watch, etc. When you are asked to spend around £200, you can expect not to do these troubleshooting steps when you want to analyse data. I love all the features the app provides. It simply needs to become reliable.

Happy to get the Versa awhile back and worked great for a long time. These last couple months have been a struggle to enjoy it with the many bug issues and app crashes. When the new major update came out a short while ago, it seemed to start working again. However, suddenly there are more issues that have arised. For 3 or 4 days now, the app and device won't sync. The error "device not found" keeps coming up in the app.

I LOVED my fitbit and the app, I used it all day every day. Since the new update, my versa won't sync. I've done everything in the directions: force close, restart the phone, turn bluetooth on and off, etc blah blah. Nothing. I'm so disappointed because my fitbit was one of my favorite things. Please fix this. It's been weeks and there's no reason this should still be happening.

Still not working properly. It won't sync as it should and tracking is not accurate. Very sad because I loved it when I got my Alta HR in September 2017. Then I got a Fitbit Charge 3 for Christmas 2018. And it worked for a while. Not happy at all with the changes. Why would I ever pay for "premium" services when regular service doesn't work?!

Complete and total failure 4 times in the last week, the app has automatically paused a workout, costing me to lose about 15 to 20 minutes of data in a 1 hour sustained run. Also, if you track a run using the app, and the fitbit the numbers between the two aren't the same. The app will say Ive only run 4 miles, while the Versa itself is closer to 6. That isnt close enough to even justify a margin of error....and now you want me to pay for the app? Completely laughable.

Same as all the other reviews. The app wasn't broke, why try to fix it. Never had a problem before the update, now my Blaze will not notify me of text messages, emails or anything else. Takes forever to sync, and most of the time have to unpair and try to reconnect, which is hit or miss as well. Might be time for a different brand of tracker.

I loved this app in the past. That said, I hate the new interface. It's ugly and I hate that I can't change the color theme. Additionally, it's too over simplified now. In the past, I loved being able to open the app and immediately see my sleep chart displayed. I own a Flex 2 and my husband has a Charge 2. We love our Fitbits, but this new interface and restrictive set up has turned us off from using them anytime soon. I was considering buying a new Fitbit, but won't in the app's current state.

What happened? Worked just fine with my FitBit Alta until a few days ago, and now the app insists it can't find my device. After a tedious process of force stops, Bluetooth reconnection and uninstall/installs, it finally connected. Once. Now it can't find the device again. Up until then, I was really happy with being able to track activity and sleep. No, I'm not upgrading to Premium - I can't afford to. Can't you just fix this app? Please?

I, like many people at the moment, cannot sync my Fitbit it keeps giving no device found messages. I've restarted my phone, disconnected and reconnected the watch, but very shortly after it stops working again. We're talking minutes or an hour later and it's stopped again. Like most people in the recent reviews, my app was fine until a few days or a week ago. Please fix it or I will move to another smart watch provider.

Since the last update my Flex doesn't want to pair with my Galaxy S6. And every time I have to charge Fitbit I have to go through the whole setup and reinstall thing again. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. And now it's tracking calories instead of steps and I cannot change it. Steps are no longer listed as an option, just gone. And yes, my phone has the latest update installed. I will be looking at other brands since Fitbit is getting too damn frustrating to use.

I used to love this app. I have had a Fitbit for years. It would track my sleep and steps and everything else so good, but now after the new update. It wont sync with my fitbit alta. Or it will say it did but didnt. I've done all the things over and over again to try to fix it. Even going on a dif. Device to log in and sync. Hasn't helped. I love this app and the fitbit devices but this new update just has something wrong with it.

The app used to be really good, but as time goes on, and more updates come in, it just doesn't sync with my Blaze any more, the last two days it hasn't uploaded my steps or my sleep, so I'm pretty much just wearing an expensive digital watch. Its looks like a lot of other people are experiencing this same thing. I can't recommend Fitbit anymore, until they resolve the issues, as the connectivity between the app and the watch is the whole reason you get a Fitbit.

I've been having the same problem as most. No issues til the last update, now no text messages come trough. Tried all the trouble shooting solutions, nothing. Talked to tech support and was told it's a compatibility issue with the app and my phone and I wasn't the only one with the problem. Then I was told theres no current solution to fix the problem other than it's being "worked on." Clearly this is a HUGE issue and its taking far too long to get fixed.

Dear Fitbit, I am having the same issue as all the others. Since the "update", my phone cant find my fitbit, making it useless. With so many complaints, it's obviously a problem on your end. I need a tracker that actually works. It was working just fine until I got that update, just like everyone else. I suggest a new update to make the app work instead of giving everyone the same URL to fix their sync that doesn't help.

This app was perfectly fine (5 star) until they updated it a few weeks ago. I cant stand the new design! Bunch of garbage I dont need and now I can no longer see all my stats at a glance. And ever since the update, my device has lots of trouble syncing. It used to be I could sync whenever I wanted perfectly. Now it seems to like working once a day, at best, and I always have to do something extra to get it to work. please go back to the previous design!!! There was nothing wrong with it!

Following an update in 1/18, I lost the ability to sync with my phone. After the update in 9/19, that was fixed! I was able to sync, everything was working, it was wonderful! However NOW after another update, about every other time I go to my app, I can't get into it. Rejection of password, can't log in. I've had to delete and reinstall the app numerous times. This is 😬. Please help.

It's great when the app works for syncing to the watch. My fiance and I both have the Charge 3, and his hasn't worked for notifications for awhile. Which he relied on for work and such. Mine stop working for a week at a time every few weeks and it's a hassle getting it to sync again. I had also recently paid for the upgraded app features, none of which I can use as the watch refuses to sync. I used to love this, and it used to be extremely hassle free... Not so much anymore.

I am beyond frustrated with not being able to sync my Fitbit versa. It doesnt keep the correct time anymore, doesnt sync all day long, nor does it show any notifications on the fitbit. This has been going on for over a month and has gotten worse every day. I have turned blue tooth on and off. Reset the actual fit bit, done a force stop and restarted the phone. Nothing works. I have had this less than a year and all it is now is an expensive paper weight. This is ridiculous!

I've been using my Fitbit for years now and I love it. I really don't like the new app layout though. The original version was so much easier to see with bigger icons and much simpler layout. I hung onto to old version as long as I could. Bring back average sleep hours. Total sleep score means nothing to me. At least make it an option. Total downgrade. Bring back the old dash board! The new design sucks. I hate opening the app now. Mint listened to their users. You guys should too.

Won't sync-not found...just started this week after update. I had to completely disconnect and reconnect it. That worked for a day. Not happy at all! Please fix the bug!!! Then test it. If it still exists, fix it, test it again. That's what good programmers do anyway. Update: Followed recommended steps - still having problems. I can connect after a lengthy struggling to do so then only stays recognizable to the app for an hour or so. No problems until your latest update. Any chance on a fix?

This app used to be awesome. I have an Alta HR and 2 of my kids have an Alta. Since the app update I can no longer sync any of them. It finds the trackers to give me a number to put in the phone but after that, nothing, says it can't find it. What's the point of even having a Fitbit now? I was hoping to upgrade for Xmas but won't bother wasting my money now. FYI don't let it ever run out of battery otherwise you will never be able to get it at the right time again, as it won't sync. Such a shame

Very close to being perfect. Usually, there is one day a week that my heart rate doesn't register. It's very annoying because I like to see my peak, cardio, and custom times. I have tried wearing my Fitbit tighter, looser, adjusting my week start day, and changing the amount of days per week I want to exercise. Nothing helps. This has been happening for over a year. I got a new Fitbit, waited through updates, and restarted my Fitbit, and deleted and reinstalled the app. Very frustrating.

Fitbit, I think your latest update really broke things up. Like many others, I have not been able to sync my Charge 2 anymore. I have done all the switch off and on Bluetooth, switch off and on phone, uninstall and reinstall app. None of it worked! It is a shame that Fitbit was so much better than my other brand before the update. I spent 3 weekends trying to fix it to no avail. Even though you put out a web address on instructions how to attempt fixing it. It is already a relationship disaster.

I've had my Fitbit alta since 2017. I have also had the Fitbit App for android since that time. Yesterday, I went to set a silent alarm and found that I had been logged out of the app, which is the first time that's ever happened. I typed in my username and password and it told me it was all incorrect, so I tried resetting my password, and it wont even send a link to email to reset it. I see others have had this problem and I'm extremely disappointed that they still havent fixed this issue.

Love this app!! I'm not much for exercising and watching what I eat but, life has a way of changing you or ending you. I was at 245 lbs on May 15, 2019 a borderline diabetic and on Cholesterol meds. I get on the elliptical for 15min. each day if possible and lift weights for 15 to 30 min. I'll be 60 soon. I'm now at 182 lbs on Oct 10, 2019 and besides my own determination, I owe this change to The Fitbit app keeps me in tune with myself and more. I'd do 5 stars if the food list was larger.

Doesnt sync all the time and it's very frustrating. Use to sync automatically but not I have to force it. I have a fitbit blaze. If the app doesnt work with these ones, then maybe a nice discount for a new one would be nice. My phone has always been restarted as I shut it off at night for an hour. Looks like your having issues with alot of others so I'm not the only one. This is becoming a joke. Swiping down to refresh the device up to 10 times just for it to find it and sync is not good.

This application is absolute garbage and so is customer support. Several months back I wrote a review after months of connectivity issues. At the time I had to restart my phone every time I wanted it to sync. Now, however, the app won't sync with my phone AT ALL - EVER. FINALLY the developers wrote back with a generic response which was entirely unhelpful. I finally decided to call customer support because I wanted to try to salvage the $250 it was starting to look like I wasted on this garbage piece of equipment. After 30 minutes with CS they were unable to help so they just cut the call off. That's it - they just hung up. It's been 30 minutes and I'm still waiting for them to call me back on the number they asked to verify specifically in the event that the call dropped. I am so unbelievably frustrated with this company that I will never, ever, ever use this watch or app again. I will never recommend it to anyone. I will actively discourage anyone I know from ever buying it. I will do anything that I can to discourage any business going to this company. I absolutely hate this application. I hate this company. I hate that they have fleeced my wife out of $250 for a Christmas present that didn't even work for 6 months. I am PISSED.

I was enjoying the app until the last update. Sleep, steps, and workouts are no longer accurate. I have a Google pixel 3xl on Android 10.0 so it's not my phone I also have a Samsung Galaxy s8 with the same problems. On top of that now you want me to pay for a subscription??? I can't see all of my features anymore and the sleep score sucks. I paid $200 for my band!!!!!! I'm not giving you any more money. I'm going to end up switching to another company. Fitbit sucks now.

Previously, the app worked great for years and warranted 5 stars. Past performance is the only reason I'm not giving it 1 star now. My Charge 2 hasn't synced in over a week and I've been getting the "Tracker not found" message for 4 days. Like everyone else having issues with the latest update, none of the troubleshooting steps work. If Fitbit doesn't get this fixed soon, they'll have lost my business.

I've had a Charge 2 for about a year and a half. Until the update in August, everything was great. Now the app freezes after 5-10 seconds every time I open it. It does sync with my FitBit, but I only have a few seconds to see the information. Please either fix the problem or make the previous design, which worked perfectly well, available again.

This app is ok - it's generally pretty good as far as tracking is concerned. The little notes that prompt you with some information used to be really interesting and fun but they have become repetitive. I also resent that there are premium features that I can't access. I spent over $200 on my fitbit and now I'm expected to pay extra to access some features? No thank you! Overall, it's a pretty disappointing app for such an expensive watch.

I've had a couple different Fitbits and have worn them constantly for years, most recently using my current one with my Samsung Galaxy Note 8. I have always relied on the pairing to give me accurate, reliable information. However, after the last app upgrade, I'm about to go searching for a different product. The synching sucks and the sleep function doesn't work half the time and has stupid, useless gadgets added. I really dislike the new look, but I could get past that if the app worked.

Do not ever, under any circumstances turn on calendar updates. You cannot turn it off. Customer service cannot turn it off. It multiples and will flood your calendar with useless garbage. Total fail to the feature. Total fail to customer service. 1 star simply because I can't hit zero. This app crashes constantly. With the latest update it now crashes before it even gets launched. The only reason I use it is that it's the only way to log Fitbit activity.

None of these "updates", were of any good. Theres been several updates since the original update screwed up the Fitbit and still hasnt fixed the issue. Notifications dont come thru at all anymore, now it's just a watch, very disappointed, that they cant fix the issue that they created. Adding the device and uninstalling still doesnt fix the issue. No longer happy with their product, I'm not the only one having this issue

I liked this app quite a lot until the big update they recently had. Not only do I hate the new layout, but I have constant sync problems where the app can't seem to find my device and I get constant notifications. And now they want us to pay for "premium" data. Not a chance in hell especially when I have already paid for the device and half the time the app is slow or does not work at all. This app is garbage and I wish I had a better option.

Generally ok but often has trouble syncing which is probably the watch. Really not happy about the new premium pay as you go stuff. Can't edit or view exercises like you can on the desktop version. Response to response. Roger the premium service, sadly it is at the expense of the basic included service. Regarding syncing, it is the Fitbit not the phones or computer. Followed the steps many times. It is the equivalent of turning it off and on again. Don't let your engineers fool you.

No stars really. I have a charge 2. I liked it when the app worked which wasn't very often. It won't sync my Fitbit, so I uninstalled, then reinstalled the app several times, powered my phone off and back on, unpaired my Fitbit, and when I tried to add it back on, it wouldn't let me. So mine is no more than a watch now, which makes it not worth the price. Hate the update!!

For over a month now my charge 3 has not been able to sync. The app can't even find the device. The watch itself can't actually keep time (the most basic watch function) so I can't even use it. (Currently it is 10:55 on 6th October and my watch believes it is 19:11 on 5th October). I have contacted support numerous times and they have admitted it is a fault on their end but they won't actually do anything about it, despite the device only having been out for 11 months when I contacted them.

Can't stand this app for my Fitbit now. Not user friendly, doesn't look as nice and organized as the old one, and seems to be very glitchy and not want to sync the first time. Please being back the old version with the tiles! It was so much easier to see your daily progress! At the very least being back the alarm button!!! It is so annoying to have to go through 3 screens to get to the silent alarms now! Also I do not get notifications or challenge updates anymore. Really disappointed!

App keeps not syncing with Alta HR. I've restarted my phone, the device, reinstalled the app, followed the instructions listed in the links to fix the issue. Sometimes it will update. It has not synced in nearly 36 hours. The advice suggests disconnecting the device from my account, which will lose the data. I use a tracker to have this data. I've had this issue for a few weeks, and the bands have been unreliable.

I liked the app before. Now it wont let me add sleep or heart rate. Very upset, disappointed and frustrated. Have uninstalled and reinstalled. The whole reason I bought this was for heart rate and sleep, for a year it's been great. Till this change so I stopped wearing my Fitbit. I am extremely disappointed in what has been done to the app. If I could give this a zero I would.

Hello there, I am facing problem with my charge 3. My device was not synchronised with app since 29 May. But I was using the watch and it was working fine. But since last week the display is not working. I tried to restart the watch but no luck. The app is not getting the Bluetooth signal. When I connect the watch with power cable I see a smiley face but after that display goes blank. Can you please help?

I would give this 5 stars as I loved my fitbit BEFORE the update to version 3.7. Before the update my tracker would sync in a matter of seconds when I told it too. Now it can take several minutes to sync, and I often have to disconnect the tracker entirely then reconnect for it to sync as it cannot even find the tracker. I have to do this about every other day and lose a lot of data every time. It seems I am not alone with this issue. Please fix it or let us use an older version.

Used to work great, few annoying little bugs here and there, but forgivable. Now with the recent redesign and updates, it's a bugged out, broken, mess of an app. It runs slow, it crashes constantly, it loses connection to your device, it crashes again, it displays incorrect information and it's making me look at other devices instead. I feel sorry for my Fitbit for having to deal with this stuff, when all it ever wanted was to help me get fit.

App loses account info approximately every three months. You have to log back in, but then it magically doesn't remember your username and password combo, so you have to reset your password. This has happened about five times over the last year +. I assumed they would have fixed this by now but apparently not. I've been looking at competitors offerings anyway, I guess now is the time.

I just updated my app, & now my text messages won't sent to my Alta. The new format is clunky & many of my favorite features are gone, like my average hours of sleep. Now I only see a blank sleep score. I have to scroll to see what I used to see in one page. I want the old version back. This one makes me want a different brand of fitness watch. Update: Tech support could not fix the problem & said to wait for app update. Well, the app has now been updated and the problem still exists.

So frustrating. Used to work, now won't sync. Unpaired it, now it isn't recognized. Need to research another provider who won't break things. UPDATE: app seems to recognize/find my Fitbit, but now every time I try to look at my 250 per hour steps, the app closes, every single time. Thank you for fixing the hourly section. It's nice to see my numbers again.

I bought my Fitbit a month ago and at first it worked great! For those first 5 days it was awesome then it stopped syncing to the app. I followed Fitbits recommendations. For a few days it worked then the same thing happened again and again. I'm so upset by this I essentially have a pricey watch and step counter since I can't use any of the other features as the app won't sync to it. Also upset to learn I'm not the only one with this problem and no fix in sight. Do not buy total waste of money!

I usually don't write negative reviews but in this case I have to, to let developers know. This is the worst version, I regret so much for upgrading and I can't go back to previous version. This version, keeps forgetting my device and there's no automatic sync. When i try to sync now, it says no device. I had to delete the device and setup as new. I'm doing this on a daily basis. I have no complaints about the device but sync now option seems doesn't do anything, it just comes up error message.

The first fitbit I had , the strap fell to pieces. It for replaced with a Fitbit Alta. All worked great, phone calls and messages came through , tracking was accurate. Then I upgraded my phone and it's terrible. It won't sync half the time, no calls come through to it. It loses the GPS, I'm fed up of trouble shooting it . Not worth the price. I'm sure cheaper versions work better .

I have been using the fitbit app for 4 years. It's helping me in my weight loss journey. I enjoy doing the group challenges as well as the independent ones. I do wish they had more destinations though. After a while it is not as exciting doing the same one over and over. I hope they add more. The community groups are great for extra support & to meet people going through the same struggles and get some tips or pointers. I hope they find a way to use Apple or Samsung watch to sync to the app.

I tried the free week of Premium and decided it's not worth the extra money. I wasn't able to log my dietary intake and my fitness pal app did not sync with this app, in spite of several trouble shooting attempts. The app sends too many notifications of the same general information and it's not as individualized as it claims to be. I'm happy with the free version of this app.

I used to be a walking Fitbit ad. I was in love with it. I bought it specifically to track how much I sleep and it helped me get closer to an ideal amount of sleep in a night. Then they forced a sleep score on us instead and there is no way to wake up and see how many hours you slept. This makes my motivation for buying the product null and void. Disappointingly they won't fix it. Try another product if you care about sleep.

I'm glad to now realize that I'm not the only one having issues with syncing on the app. I just upgraded to the charge 3 a month ago and I have my tracker set to sync all day and it hasn't automatically synced since Sept 25th (2 weeks ago). This app can't even find my tracker when I try and manually update. I have tried literally all of their suggested fixes to no avail. This new update is trash.

My fitbit worked like a charm before the last update and I recommended it to my sister and husband. We were loving doing challenges. Now my sister and I cant get it to sync and the challenges have stopped bc we cant sync. It's very sad and frustrating. You guys REALLY need to fix this or I'm going to buy a different brand. I liked the ease and that's why I chose fitbit. But its not easy anymore.....

TERRIBLE!!! I will never get another Fitbit, the app is just the worst. Honestly it's stressing me out that much I am going to stop wearing it. I don't understand how after reading all the reviews on here, fitbit aren't addressing the obviously massive issues with their app. For the price we pay for the watches, we expect and good service. It's an absolute disgrace

Monthly subscription not worth it. When you try to click on data points on your heart rate during sleep there is a glitch in the program where the header covers up the value. So basically, you can't see what your exact heart rate was. Overall the program is great. I paid for my Fitbit, I don't see why I should pay more every month for a subscription.

For some reason my app today wanted me to log in and wouldn't accept my password. I tried to reset it only to get a message saying "Fitbit is not available. Try again later." Went to the actual website and got a message saying my IP address was blocked by Cloudfire - Error 1006. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, to no avail.

Non-functional, losing access to services/data for monetization. I've had to reinstall three times in the past few months just to get it to sync. Key features like alarms are hard to access and inexplicably go off at the wrong time. Actually useful information like sleep data that used to be available is now paywalled (on top of a steep price for the device itself).

I have had several different fitbit trackers over the years including my current Versa. I have never had a problem until the recent update. Now I am no longer receiving my emails, phone calls or texts! Before someone sends me the scripted response please know I have done everything you have suggested in the other hundreds of negative reviews with no results. So what is FITBIT doing to correct the problem? It may be time to say goodbye to fitbit.

Frustrated with the sync issues. This was a great watch but now considering getting another brand of smart watch. The time is constantly off. It has made me late a couple of times now because the time was not right on my watch. I already did a restart on my phone and my watch and did all the necessary updates. This has been going on since I did the updates last week.

I have been using my Fitbit for years and love the updates every now and then but recently I did an update on the app and have been getting non synch issue and I often get "device not found" message when I am wearing it. I see other people are having the same problem as me. I reckon there is a bug with that update. I am on Charge 2. Will there be another update to fix this? Thanks

Go back to old sleep tracker please! I used to love this app, but with the new design and meaningless sleep "score", the feature I loved best about my Fitbit is really messed up. It will say I had a good night and a score of 73 (what the heck does that mean.?) when I know I slept horribly and was awake half the night. Please restore the old functionality that was actually accurate and helpful information.

To get my flex to sync with the app every time, I have to turn off Bluetooth, close the app, reopen the app, turn Bluetooth on, refresh several times and sometimes repeat the whole process. It's too much work. Anyway I can revert back to the older version from a few months ago???? That one I had no trouble getting to work. Frustrated and disappointed.

I've had my fitbit since Dec 2019 and it worked fine at first but lately it won't sync. Come on and fix this app because I love my fitbit. It will be a year in Dec since I have had my Fitbit and this app is terrible. Most of the time it won't sync no matter what I do. I have tried everything. I give up. You owe me a phone since I got so mad I threw my phone against the wall. Fix it or give me my money back.

My original review had 5 stars (12/26/2018). I have updated and added comments (10/17/2019). I have read the other reviews and agree with the other users. I have been having issues with connectivity with my Charge 3 and S7 Edge. I had to replace the Charge 3 twice now. The device had the incorrect time, not even the same minutes either. So I knew something was going on. Yes, I have contacted customer service. 0 for 3 now.

I have had the fitbit versa for several months, it worked fine, would sync with my Pixel 3 phone until the update (?) in September. Now it will not sync with the phone, although it will with an older Samsung Galaxy S2 tablet. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, followed the directions regarding blue tooth connection, still nothing. Getting so tired of this, not a device I would recommend to anyone else. I also do not like the new format and have difficulty changing settings where it did install and sync on the tablet.

Since the latest "update", the functionality of my fitbit has been diminished. I used to get text messages on my Alta, but now I can only see the name of the person sending the text. If I want to read the text, I have to go to my phone. This problem first occurred a month ago and no solution or timeframe has been given by fitbit. Very disappointed. Update: Installed Fitbit's app on 10/1/19 and now I don't receive notifications for text messages AT ALL! This is beyond frustrating.

The new look is a downgrade. Smaller icons, more white space with less information. Slow updates during sync. I understand some info needs the internet but just sync info from the fitbit to the app should not require the internet. The old look was much more functional. After another week, I reduced it to 2 stars. This new version is bad. Just downgraded to a 1. Same issues but worse. Lost settings. Can't trust any info on the dashboard.

The app was fantastic until the last update. Now it takes me 10 mins and 10 tries to connect via Bluetooth. UPDATE, it's been several weeks and another update. I can now sync if I turn off my BT and let the fitbit app turn BT on. The layout is still terrible. 1/3 of the screen for an arbitrary "sleep score", while the graph, which was easy to read, is still shrunken. I only use for sleep tracking now and will be changing brands.

So far I am a bit disappointed. I have changed my phone recently I'm using a HUAWEI P30 PRO and I can't get text messages and calls notification on my tracker. On the fitbit app it says that I need to restart my mobile phone and still wouldn't make any difference. I'm hoping that this issue would be solved in the near future so we can all enjoy the experience. I'm giving 3 stars coz I have used the app and I now that it is brilliant and I have no doubt that this issue wouldn't last. Thank you.

I don't find sleep cycle to be as accurate as the old restlessness display. Now I have the option to see my restlessness again, but I have to pay monthly when I don't want other features and this used to be free. I can lay awake in bed for hours and it records as light sleep or dreaming because my arm is still. When I sync, it often says it can't find my device for a good 3 minutes.

tl;dr: Overall, using the fitbit and the app is just a miserable experience and the product feels like a cheap knockoff. If you're going to require updating your firmware, at least do it when it's convenient instead of right before a workout. The actual process of updating is terrible. Constantly hanging and needing to restart the process with no indication with what's wrong or how to fix it. Even after it actually updated successfully, it wouldn't let me use the app because it thought I still needed to update until I rebooted. The entire process took hours, multiple restarts of both my fitbit and my phone, one factory reset, and multiple firmware upgrades. The clock face browser sucks. The search is bare bones (no tags for searching complications). Half the weather faces don't work because of a change in Yahoo Weather API (because fitbit don't offer their own to third-party developers?) and there's no way to tell until you get through the laborious clock face install process... and since there's no bookmark system, you have to manually refind the least bad one you found 30 minutes ago. Pairing also sucks. To get music controls, you need to go through a confusing extra bluetooth pairing separate from the normal process and it constantly breaks. Exercise support for anything but cardio sucks. Lifters get no rep tracking or even type of lifting. There aren't that many activities to choose from and no way to make your own. Sleep tracking is fine but the alarms are basic. There's not a system to wake you within a specified period if you're in a light sleep state. Even normal phone apps can do this, and they don't have heartbeat data to help. Overall, using the fitbit and the app is just a miserable experience. You're never quite sure what state things are in, whether WiFi is working, which types of pairing is active, if you're even connected, if music controls are available... the product and the app feels like a knockoff rather than what is supposedly a big player in the market.

New Update ruined the App. App now is buggy and constantly crashes. Forcing is to update wasn't cool. This company just plain sold out. They went full on greedy like Apple. Most people that I know have quit using the app altogether and I am nearly ready to do the same. Bring back the old interface and make this new update optional or only for those users that want to pay for the premium service. They should have paid attention to the old adage "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".

This is awful! I have loved my fitbit but recently it is not working propertly. It not even telling the correct time. I am not sure what is going on but I can not synic any longer. I just did a factory reset on my versa. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the fitbit app. I can not get the app to even find the watch while it sits on the phone while in the charing station. I am just going to return it within the next few days if this is not fixed! I am disappointed.

It was a really good use for the first 2 days I bought it. After that it started saying that it couldn't find the device. It was also no syncing very well, and every 5 minutes it would say there was a problem, not only that but the notifications aren't functioning. I have to uninstall and reinstall the app for it to only work a few minutes before it crashes again. I am seriously reconsidering to return the item

Since getting a new fitbit, I have to constantly reboot so the app will locate my device. I contacted fitbit and got a replacement, but it's still causing headaches. It's so frustrating to have to always be playing around and rebooting my phone and my fitbit to get them to sync. I'm about to throw in the towel and get a different product.

Since the latest update I am constantly having synching issues. Have a charge HR and a Samsung s9. I've deleted the app several times, force quit, reset the phone. Reset the fitbit it always loses connection. I find this is when you walk away from your phone and it goes out of range then it seems to lose connection permanently. Turning bluetooth on and off makes no difference. A restart is all I can do to get it working. There is something wrong in the last update. Fitbit please fix it.

Totally useless. The issue is clearly on fitbits side. Mine was working fine for the most part. Notifications didn't always work as apparently my p20 is not compatible which is crazy since the p20 Pro and lite are on the list! No reason as to why the p20 shouldn't be at this stage. Then today the app asked me to update the software on my versa 2 which I did. now it's no longer syncing, I tried all troubleshooting multiple times and now it won't even pair anymore!!Total waste of money!!

Have not been able to sync for a week. Both my husband and I have Samsung and Charge 2. We are both having the issue. It acts like it is syncing then adds steps, refreshes with red saying no device found, then erases steps. We also get a notification at the top of the phone Last Sync Unavailable 🙄. Deleting the app or restarting the phone does not help. We are looking into another device to use other than Fitbit. There is no reason to wear this if it doesn't show sleep patterns or steps.

The app continues to have issue "finding my device" even when my watch is right next to my phone. I've tried their trouble shoot suggestions, which involves setting my existing watch up as a replacement device and it will work temporarily, but I'll lose data, and it's not a permanent fix. It worked for less than 24 hours before the same issue occurring again.

Yes, the app worked fine with the charge 2 untill the recent updates. Instead of recommending useless uninstalls, reboots, and other "voodoo" BS, just fix the app once and for all. Someone knows what the problem is but just doesn't want to acknowledge it or take the responsibility to fix it. It worked fine before, so in the meantime, offer up the older version that works untill your "software engineers" can figure it out.

I got a fitbit versa lite a few months ago & everything- except music was working fine with my android. I couldn't get the music part to work & just gave up (it wasn't a feature I needed). I just updated it & now I have to constantly manually sync it with my phone. I used to be able to reply to messages & now I can't. When I select "mark as read" or try to clear the messages, neither option works. I also don't like the new drop down menu added (music & quick settings) to the notifications menu.

I recently bought a Versa and struggled a few days or so to get it to sync and receive notifications. Finally everything worked fine and i was over the moon , but now after the latest update i'm sitting with the same issues. I've tried rebooting , unpairing over and over and over!!!! This is so frustrating.... It loses Bluetooth connection constantly and no notifications are received . This was an expensive watch and i'm so dissapointed that the app is not working properly...

Pretty good & great for tracking your exercise & other health related statistics including calories taken in if you want to record what you eat. I have been doing this, but find it a bit tedious as you have to select every regular item individually. Would be much better if you could select several items at once by clicking o button or similar as you do when deleting multiple e-mails for example. Hence I've taken one star off - come on developers any chance you could do that simple (?) fix? Otherwise all good and gives some interesting suggestions and background to some of the stats. too. Thanks

I personally will be getting rid of my Fitbit and going to another brand, or a Samsung watch. This is my 2nd Fitbit. My main reason for having it is to track my sleep. It worked fine until a couple months ago, now it just gives me basic info of hours slept. There is no reason it can't track my heart rate, otherwise how would it know I am asleep? I spent a lot of money on something that no longer does what I needed it for. Just my opinion, I'm sure many have had a better experience...

Ever since the new update at the end of July I no longer receive and text messages or phone call alerts through my fitbit 2, this is unacceptable. I have restarted my fitbit uninstalled and reinstalled the app and still nothing. Update as of Oct 4 my fitbit charge 2 still does not give me any notifications from text messages or phone calls. I have notified the company and their response is they don't have a time frame for when it will be fixed. I have unpaired, repaired, uninstalled, reinstalled.

Garbage company, lost all faith. They're switching to the Premium subscription model by removing data that was previously free and now requiring you to pay to access it. They're pushing out units so fast and so focused on the bottom line that they're neglecting syncing issues. What use is it if I can't sync my Fitbit to the app half the time. Edit to Fitbit's reply: you guys have analysis paralysis - data for the sake of data. And, you're making us to pay for an incomplete service.

UPDATE: Fitbit replaced my device after it would not connect. Seriously frustrated 😡 My Versa died a few days ago. I haven't been able to sync it since. I have tried everything! I have updated my phone, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, factory reset the versa, turned on and off both the Wi-Fi and the Bluetooth, as well as Googled and watched any videos to troubleshoot. It is so frustrating! I've only had it about 9 months and for the money you, would think that I could get it to work again.

In the previous version I could fit all the metrics I care about on screen at the same time, but with the new layout they take more space and I have to scroll to see all. But more importantly, with the Charge3 the app is no longer properly detecting activity, especially walking. I'm considering to switch to a different fitness tracker device and app alltogether. Having all kinds of advanced features is worth nothing if the basics don't work!

This app is randomly logging me out every few days. When I try to log back in it doesn't recognize the password. I'm livid that I've had to change my password twice in 3 days. I tested by trying to use my most recent password during a password reset and it told me that I couldn't use a recently used password. That proves that I was using the correct password to login but Fitbit would not allow me access. The battle to sync daily is enraging. The lack of 2 factor authentication is even worse.

This app has always been on shaky ground in terms of reliability with my Ionic. Using the GPS on my phone garuntees that the app crashes 1-3 times an hour, which causes a 'Fitbit has crashed' pop-up to obstruct my map. Notifications have never really worked properly, but since these recent updates they don't work at all. The new interface for the app is nigh unreadable. Of course, they'll never give us back the good one. RIP average hours slept, now we have 'sleep score.' Inb4 automed reply.

For the most part, I like what I'm able to keep track of with the app and get notifications (well, after months of it not working, then after receiving a new tracker and out of the blue, notifications worked again...). I have not been able to update the firmware, for whatever reason. I've tried everything, even contacting Fitbit, nothing. So, once this is fixed, I'll give more stars.

The most recent update has stopped my ionic from being continuously connected - the app only updates with data every couple of days, I'm having to try to completely disconnect and reconnect it, I'm not getting messages/alarms/alerts through it anymore, whatever you did on the last update, please roll it back because its broken something! Edit to add since developer response, as per my review, I've already tried that, repeatedly, every couple of days. It's failing to stay connected.

I loved this app as well as my fitbit charge 2, until I updated the app & it stopped syncing. I tried everything on fitbits help pages but nothing worked; I eventually decided I would try un-pairing & re-pairing it. It wouldnt re-pair, just kept having an error after I put the code in. So I contacted support to see if there was a bug, when I did this I told them that I saw other people were having the same issue. They said it was just mine, but based off other reviews I think its not just mine.

The app is great. Easy to use and very interesting. Although, I've just bought it and updated it which made it behave differently. It shows notification service not running, please restart phone. On doing so, nothing happens. When i re-install the app and link my versa, the notifications do run but only for a while. It again starts showing 'notification service not running. Please restart phone' which has gotten very irritating now. I'm thinking of returning my fitbit versa.

UPDATE: from 1 to 5 stars. Link gave me the exact troubleshooting I needed. I fixed it in ONE minute! My phone setting had FitBit not to synch in battery save mode, which apparently on my phone is all the time. Thank you for replying with helpful information! ORIGINAL POST: I loved this app until it stopped working with my Alta HR that I've had for a year. MANY people are experiencing "no device found" since the recent update. Fix it, and I'll give it 5 stars. I miss it.

It a good fitness app to go with a fitness tracker. However, they removed the group and solo challenges for 5K, half marathon and full marathon courses without adding new challenge courses. The Yosemite Valley courses are nice but it would be better if they added a new place - like routes along the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) or Appalachain Trail (APT).

I just bought a versa and was so happy until a couple of days ago. We changed internet providers and I had to change the wifi settings. Once I did that the app won't find the wifi settings and I'm unable to sync my app. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I have complete shut down my phone and restarted. Nothing seems to work, I still get the running circle trying to search the internet.

After paying $200 for a versa and loving it for 2 months it has been nothing short of stress. The wrist notifications never work. Constantly having to reset phone, Fitbit, bluetooth and the list goes on. I have done everything website tells you to do 50 times. I haven't had any notifications on my Fitbit going on a week now and all Fitbit can tell me is sorry. Really pitiful for such a big company and for "high end" devices should be an embarrassment.
