Live a healthier, more active life with Fitbit, the world’s leading app for tracking all-day activity, workouts, sleep and more. Use the app on its own to track basic activity and runs on your phone, or connect with one of Fitbit’s many activity trackers and the Aria Scale to get a complete picture of your health—including steps, distance, calories burned, sleep, weight, and more.

TRACK ACTIVITY: Accurately record your steps and distance with MobileTrack when you carry your phone. For all-day tracking of stats like calories burned, active minutes, and sleep, pair the app with a Fitbit tracker.

RUN SMARTER: Enhance runs, walks and hikes by using MobileRun to track your pace, time and distance. You can also control your music, get voice cues and use your phone’s GPS to map your routes. (Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.)

RECORD WORKOUTS: Use your Fitbit tracker to track your exercise, then check the app to see your stats, their impact on your day, and how your performance is improving.

MONITOR HEART RATE: Use a Fitbit tracker with PurePulse™ to analyze heart rate graphs in the app. Identify trends, manage stress and see the results of your workouts. Review resting heart rate trends to see when your fitness is improving.

LOG FOOD FASTER: Easily log calories with our barcode scanner, calorie estimator, and expanded food database of more than 350,000 foods. See your meal history at a glance, and get nutritional insights.

MEASURE HYDRATION: Quickly log your water intake to make sure you’re properly hydrated during workouts and throughout the day.

SET & MANAGE GOALS: Create weight, nutrition and exercise goals, and start a food plan to stay on track. Then get a visual picture of your progress with colorful, easy-to-read charts and graphs.

SEE HOW YOU SLEEP: Set sleep goals in the app, and use a Fitbit tracker to monitor how much time you spent awake, restless or peacefully sleeping.

SHARE & COMPETE: Connect with friends and family by sharing stats, sending direct-messages, and competing on the leaderboard or in Fitbit Challenges.

STAY MOTIVATED: Get a nudge in the right direction with notifications that pop up when you’re close to reaching a goal or have already met one.

SYNC WIRELESSLY: Fitbit trackers sync your stats to computers and 200+ leading devices so you can continuously track your progress without needing to plug in.

MANAGE WEIGHT: Connect wirelessly to the Aria Scale to seamlessly track your weight, BMI, lean mass and body fat percentages, and to see your weight trends over time.

My only problem is with the premium (paid) features. There's lots of workouts. It would be great to get to mark favorites. Being able leave notes would be nice too. This would help us to remember which workouts we enjoyed or didn't. The sleep songs, stories, meditations should simply end when they are finished in the app should be allowed to go dark. Using a pop-up asking if we'd like to record the workout defeats the purpose and drains the battery. Ideally we should be asleep at the end.

versa 2 The App is let down by it's unreliable pairing with the tracker. Sometimes it takes days and then only after uninstalling and reinstalling the App to get it to work. It was not this bad last year and it's really putting me off the product. It needs to connect immediately and reliably. I find it hard to believe it cannot be done. UPDATE. It now takes a total uninstall and reinstall every day to get the cursed thing to sync!!!!!!

  3. Sandra Maughon-avatar

charge 3 I have a charge 2, and this app works great for me. I can honestly and without drama say that it changed my life. For years (decades) I have tracked my food and tried to track activity but the task relationship between intake and output was a fantasy based on what I thought at the moment (of my exercise). The biggest surprise was the number of steps per day and the direct impact that had on my overall calories. And I see the direct correlation between regular yoga and resting heart rate.

  4. A Google user-avatar

charge 4 If you're looking for a free app that syncs with your Fitbit and records your workouts, it's great. You can manually add other types of workouts besides walking/running, like strength and yoga. Overall I like the app, but I wish I didn't have to go to the website to log food. Also wish I could turn off the sleep 'score' and just look at my sleep data. Would love to try the premium option, but it's way too expensive.

versa App was designed by people who don't use it and lack the ability to focus. Want to enable notifications? Wander through a middle of interfaces to find your setting. However, you must have a constant notification to ensure it works. On top of this, there is an issue with GPS accuracy. Not sure if this is an issue with the app, my Charge 4 (has its own issues) Google or a combo. However, there is place near me that is on the map for Google but the app does not recognize where I am. Clear sky area.

charge 2 Love the app and all it offers but it freezes ALOT. Very glitchy. I have to close it out and reopen it often because it freezes so much. I have tried to reboot my phone, uninstall and reinstall but it still freezes and crashes on a daily basis. I have been trying the premium version to see if it is better, but it's not. Thankfully it's a free trial. I will not be paying for premium unless this app gets running better.

inspire hr Loved this app. Now it never syncs and I have to restart my phone in order to get it to find my device and sync. Also and even more frustrating us that it doesn't measure my sleep anymore. I'm lucky if I get sleep info every other night. Very frustrating. Update: syncing issue a little better, but now I cant log exercise. Every time I try to open it, it crashes. Come on

  8. Lisa Borden-avatar

ionic Used to love the app, but the last month or so it's so frustrating. Since I'm on lockdown, I changed my step goal distance goal, and no matter what I do it won't update on the app. Even if I hit my 4 mile distance goal, the main page still says I have 2 miles to go (my old goal of 6 miles per day). I have tried uninstalling the app, changing the distance setting on the app multiple times, etc, nothing I do makes any difference.

app I got the Versa Lite and at the beginning, it worked like a charm! I looked forward to seeing my sleep information each morning and it really got me to get to sleep earlier and sleep 9/ 10 hours sleep each night!! But all of a sudden, it will not do my sleep anymore OR even my steps!! Very frustrating!!! Tried everything to no avail. Help!!!! Elizabeth

  10. Jena Blancard-avatar

versa lite I don't know if it's my phone, app, fitbit or me but I can never get it to sync. Currently stuck with the wrong time on my fitbit because I can't sync it. I've had this problem with the charge 3 and charge 2. It's incredibly frustrating when I can't use my fitbit to the fullest ability. I've tried resetting, uninstalling, having it plugged in to charge, deleted all other Bluetooth devices except my fitbit and any other hacks on the internet. It shouldn't be this hard to just sync.

  11. jackeetron zee-avatar

I am currently frustrated with the Fitbit app. I've had it for a year and it's worked well up until a week or 2 ago. It suddenly isn't connecting to the internet. It's not giving me any of my sleep info, activity info... etc. None of the tracking is showing for the last few weeks. I recently decided to try the premium free trial and I'm wondering if that is what's affecting the app. Not being able to connect to the internet does not allow me access to any of the premium options either.

  12. Alika Alexander-avatar

I would give five stars, if not for the fact that this new app will not allow me to receive notifications on my tracker. I have upgraded to a newer phone as well as a new tracker and still running in to the same issue. Just says a phone restart is necessary inorder to turn notifications on again. Which I've done several times, several. Although I've only worn a Fitbit on my wrist since 2016, it may be time to invest in a different company now.

  13. Kayleigh Fenton-avatar

I've used this app since 2013, used to love it. Recently, in the last month or so, it has become buggy, often will not sync, when it does it takes much longer than it used to. It is not updating my stats (steps etc.) per day the way it should either. Also: app forces user to enable location tracking to sync device (never used to do this!)

  14. A Google user-avatar

Updated: Overall things work well & I'm happy with this app. Two issues, though. First, the app does NOT show any current activity of friends. From checking online, Fitbit has been aware of the situation for a while. Second, the app loses connectivity with my Versa 2 about once a week and I have to either restart my phone or uninstall & reinstall the app. Not a deal breaker, but a pain. I have plenty of other devices that have never lost connection.

  15. Mark Sabac-avatar

I used to change my clock face with my Android 6 but with the new update I can not anymore. I tried with Windows 10 as well, same problem. But this bug exist with Windows 10 and Android 6. The support was helpful but the message I got was that some apps will not be supported in older phones. Also, I learned when I select an app for my fitbit in the My Apps or All Apps, it won't go through the selected app. It will just load forever. This problem is also found on Windows 10.

  16. Amber Sutton-avatar

"Device not found" (even when it's sitting right there). Hasn't synced for over a month now. I've had it almost 3 years so maybe this is their way of forcing me to upgrade? Still works as a watch and still counts steps, I'd delete the app but I use it to lay GPS tracks for trail mapping. Don't think I'll buy another Fitbit when this one croaks though. Worked fine for a few years.

  17. Wendy Winks-avatar

I have a charge3 all was fine until about a month ago when it would not sync. I tried restarting the charge, both with the settings and on the charger. I also tried restarting my phone, turning Bluetooth on and off, checking for updates on the phone and Fitbit, uninstalling and reinstalling the app and finally unpairing the charge from the app and setting it up again (that finally worked). It has happened repeatedly. Very frustrating.

  18. Danica Rašeta-avatar

The app, with all its great features comes in handy, but since I installed it, every time, it took way too long to sync. No problem there, I'm patient. Then it started crashing, about once a month, it would just stop working entirely and refuse to open. Now, I need to uninstall and install it again every time I want to use it, otherwise it DOES NOT OPEN. If I hadn't paid good money for the fitbit in the first place, I wouldn't really care, but this just makes me angry.

  19. nancy Dickinson-avatar

i'm an active person anyway, but FitBit has been beneficial and eye-opening (I usually reach 10k by mid-day just by my normal routine). the app on my phone gives access to all my "stats" plus challenge friends. UPDATE: I've had my FitBit for over a year. I still love it and rely on it every day. I need to explore more of the possibilities it offers, but regardless, I'm very happy I have it.

  20. Nicole Jenkins-avatar

Don't like the new look of the app. I liked the old look better. And the menstrual cycle part of the app is not working right. Won't let me put in my day's and save them, just keeps changing on it's own. So that's useless right now. Please fix bug's. And I miss the old look. Also I feel like I already paid enough for the fitbit I shouldn't have to pay for the extra's in the app if I want them. Or it should at least be cheaper. Kinda pricey if u ask me.

  21. Sneha Solanki-avatar

After the recent update, I don't get any text or call notification on the watch. I restarted my phone several times because it shows in the settings page of the app, but it didn't solve the problem. I restarted my versa 2 as well, but that doesn't the problem either. It is quite annoying, as I miss many important calls and notifications.

  22. Marita O'Dell-avatar

I really enjoy the fitbit and have used the app for years. First the basic and then the fitbit alta hr. The basic I had many. They never seemed to last very long. This is the second Fitbit alta hr. The first one I had for many years but was just.coming to the end of it's life. The current fitbit alta hr has one can't tell when it needs recharged. I liked the previous version because I could tell when it was time to recharge. Seeing the graphics could be improved on the watch.

I have had versa 2 for about 1.5 years. I've always had trouble getting it to sync with the app. Says device not found etc. versa stopped working for about 4 months. it was just stuck on the icon screen that says to start download Fitbit app. I finally got it to connect again a couple days ago but it hasn't synced since, won't give me my daily info, won't record my sleep correctly, nothing, even with fitbit premium!! I don't think it's the watch, I think it's the crappy app! It's a shame!!!!!!!

  24. Calvin Smith-avatar

Fitbit app has been changed, no longer shows sleep patterns. It is now a premium feature that you have to pay for. What is next? ....paying for each step you take! You buy a product and companies keep looking for ways to devalue your purchase unless you pay them every month and give them your private information. This is getting old!!!! What happened to great value and great products? Also noted the app no longer let's you edit with manual entries, I used to be able to add my weight lifting.

  25. Patti Soucie-Wilson-avatar

I've have a Versa 2 and I love it. I have a compatible phone. But 8 of 10 times it won't sync. It has to be the programing....GIGO. Every upgrade or update causes problems. It didn't used to be that way. Update: 4/7 no change! Update: 5/1 Every time the app is updated I have to uninstall and reinstall the app. Sometimes more than once.

  26. Tonya Thompson-avatar

I have had my fitbit versa since July 2018. I have had minor problems syncing but now it won't even find the device let alone snyc. I am very frustrated my time isn't even correct either. After puttin up this post the app worked on week now it won't even find my versa on bluetooth!!!! Now all of a sudden I am being told that my phone is not compatable with the fitbit after all this time! Can't get a response from anyone in charge with fitbit. Very unprofessional!

  27. Marla Warnick-avatar

It's been over a month now that my notifications haven't been working. After wasting so much time doing hours of troubleshooting to find out it's an issue on fitbits end. Versa is having an issue with communicating with S10 devices. Also wont stay connected to WIFI. Fitbit is aware of this problem and say "wait for the next update" but how long does this take!? Not impressed & currently am annoyed and disappointed with my Versa. I bought this watch to used its functions however THEY DON'T WORK.

  28. Melissa Pratt-avatar

I like the challenges but , I have been very frustrated with not being able to start challenges since last August updates. I have called many times to correct this , but largely unresponsive. They even have said they don't have records of some of my previous contact. I have only received one email from their tech staff It's now 9 months without resolution. I have a charge 2 but why would I buy an upgraded fitfit or try Premium with the response?

  29. Linz Williams-avatar

Conceptually great, but the app used to work much better. Now it's an endless cycle of syncing failures, "device not found" errors, and the app often just gets stuck on the refresh screen with no data available to view, making both the app and device entirely useless. I have the free trial for premium right now but I definitely won't be renewing after the trial - I can't imagine actually paying for an unpolished app that seems to fail every second day if not every single day.

  30. Caleb Conger-avatar

Used to be my favorite but the app is garbage again and it's a chore getting it to sync (yes, even with all day sync turned on). I'd abstain from purchasing any products until this is fixed; there's no point if the app isn't working. I'm on my FIFTH fitbit (abput one a year) and might not repurchase as the app regularly becomes an issue. I've spent way too much to deal with this

  31. Taylor Spock-avatar

The app never stays connected to Fitbit Charges and it can't refresh itself. So you have to force close the app and restart your Bluetooth. Even then, lots of times it can't find the watch. It's not the phone's fault, since I've tried it across different phones and tablets. My 2 friends with Charges have the same problem. Very annoying and leads to missed notifications.

  32. Debra Bidwell-avatar

I like it when it works but sometimes it stops talking to my Android phone for no apparent reason. Then I have to reactivate Fitbit by installing "a new device" by reinstalling the same Flex2, reboot my phone and reboot Bluetoorh, sometimes several times, so it will talk to my phone again. It keeps track of the steps; It just doesn't report it to my phone app.

  33. Carol C. F. Myers-avatar

I dont know what happened, but since the last update I can't get my watch screen to display my watch face. I can see the screen then it goes blank for a minute. I can't even reset my device because it won't let me. I went through 4 different watches including 3 Adidas limited. The last one was the best and it works well. So I'm back as a fan of my Fitbit. I'm 8 years into Fitbit.

  34. Laura Gray-avatar

Every time this app is updated something may be fixed but something else no longer works. Edit 05-06-2020 Really tired of the "tips" that take up half my screen when I start the app. Can't be turned off and they are completely useless. Apparently they don't want to hear that people don't like them since they seem to refuse to get rid of them.

  35. Cindi Maestas-avatar

I have used my Fitbit app for over 3 years without problems. The last few days I have not been able to pull up my previous info. It would no longer except my AOL email address. I ended up putting in my gmail email address but none of my previous statistics carried over. It's very frustrating as now I can't get the new gmail account deleted and I can't get my old information to come up under my AOL account either! THIS ALL STARTED WHEN YOU LOCKED MY ACCOUNT FOR NO REASON ON APRIL 17! Please restore my account to it's previous status to allow me to sync my Fitbit Charge 2 to my AOL email addressand hopefully, be able to pull up the info on my phone! Thank You!

  36. Melissa Lopez-avatar

My Fitbit is no longer paring, the time is now off by 1hr and 25min and goes up daily. Started at 10min off and not this. Ever since the update I can't sync. I've done a ton of trouble shooting. I've hard reset it about 10times, cleared cache, uninstalled/reinstalled app and nothing! I was almost late for work (essential employee) because the time is wrong! Please help!! Everything was working fine until the update! Also, I when I got it to update, it was ok for 1 day and the next is history!

  37. Tauna Rice-avatar

This app used to work great but now it's super glitchy. I can go back and see previous days that I exercised but the app always says I've only exercised one day that week no matter what. For example my week started on Sunday and the data from Sunday is in the overview but even though I exercised two days already this week the app says I've only exercised one day. I think I'll be canceling my paid subscription for premium. I'm not going to pay for something that doesn't even work correctly.

  38. J. Forsyth-avatar

The app has finally made the Fitbit Versa a worthy replacement for my Pebble HR Watch. The Fitness aspect is very well done, it was the smartwatch aspect that was lacking. The addition of the calendar for me is great, the only thing missing now is caller ID, not just call notification. There is a certain amount of self discipline needed to input you dietary intake daily, but it's worth it to see the weight come off and my exercise routine extent as fitness improves. Thank you.

I love my Fitbit and used to love this app as well, but it will not sync with my Charge 3. I had the same problem with my Charge 2. When I upgraded my watch, it worked perfectly for about a month then had the same issues so I know it's the app and not the watch. The app also drains my battery every time I open it. Very disappointing.

This app used to be 5 stars, and I'm not the only one with this problem, but since the latest firmware update on my Versa, GPS almost never connects during exercise and so my speed and distance are off by about 1/3 distance. Might switch to Garmin but I love the UI of this app, especially the social aspects. Competitions and goals keep me motivated. Fix this, Fitbit.

I LOVED my fit it for ALMOST a year. Now, something has updated and my app takes forever to sync. And my watch face won't work so I have to use the app which isn't working. I haven't had it a year yet. I'm so sad because it really motivates me. I assume they're trying to fix because I feel like I'm constantly updating it but nothing has helped.

Won't connect through Bluetooth. It was working fine, but since I got a new phone in January it won't show my text messages anymore. Then yesterday at 11am it stopped connecting to Bluetooth on my phone all together. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, "forgot"the device on my phone's Bluetooth, restarted my phone, reset my Fitbit and nothing works. It just acts like it has no Bluetooth connection anymore.

  43. Raven Larkin-avatar

Used to be a great app, but I often encounter Bluetooth sync issues. The app always has issues connecting with my Fitbit Versa. Also, I've been tracking my weight in the app, but according to Fitbit, I haven't tracked my weight for the last 3 months. Good thing I keep my weight tracked in my Google Keep notes. This app is useless at best most times.

  44. Dawn Martin-avatar

Recently my Inspire has stopped staying synced once it's forced. I know it will stop when my phone goes to sleep. It use to stay in sync and I could see steps being counted, it was a very nice feature to have when you are close to goal instead of having to keep syncing which wears out the battery. Not sure why this has stopped.

  45. Ron C-avatar

The app worked great until the latest update. Now I have problems with it connecting to GPS to map my walks. Also having problems getting it to pair my Vetsa 2 with my android (galaxy s10e) phone. I've gone through all of the Fitbit support suggestions. The only way I can get it to pair is to set up the Versa2 as a new device. I've had to do this several times and it's really becoming a PIA. I hope the Fitbit folks can get this resolved soon.

  46. Shelly Shipman-avatar

Ugh....this app never syncs. Always "searching for device". Calls and texts never come thru, or it retrieves texts that are weeks old. So frustrating. Have to uninstall and reinstall all the time. I have been a faithful Fitbit user for 6+ years but this will be my last Fitbit as the quality has gone down hill. Just waiting for it to completely die, which should be soon as the versas only seem to last about 13 months (just outside of the warranty convenient for Fitbit 🤔).

  47. Chantel Reles-avatar

With the latest two updates I've had nothing but issues. Syncing even when all day sync is slow and delayed. In addition to the sync issues I am also having issues with my dashboard. When I take a bike ride or another activity it may or may not add to my active minutes. Even my Fitbit coach workouts seem to log but not get added into totals on the dashboard. My weekly reports look worse. I would also recommend adding a conversion for activities to steps. Spin class you don't get any step value.

  48. Marc Mehanna-avatar

The app is good. But i bought my charge 3 3 months ago and it is almost impossible to connect it to my phone. Worked perfectly for 2 months then out of a sudden became impossible to sync it with my phone. Very disappointing performance. Hoping Fitbit will fix this issue and find a way to compensate all charge 3 owners since this is a common issue.

  49. Alicia Jones-avatar

4/26/20 I have an Alta HR. Like most people have reported, the app has been crashing every time I try to check my exercise. I thought it was just me, but I see this is a Fitbit issue and is happening to numerous customers. I trust Fitbit will fix this issue and send an update asap. 4/27/20 Installed the fix and it now will not connect nor open. Logged out - didn't work. Uninstalled - didn't work. Please fix this asap.

Graphs don't make sense... at all. When I log my food for the day, it tells me the wrong amount of grams in my macros. For instance I will eat 30g of carbs but somehow it displays 103g.. terrible for tracking food. And it changes the number you enter in for your weight on its own.. terrible for tracking weight. I don't know why I have a fit bit anymore.

Well, here we go AGAIN. Sync is not working. Been with Fitbit since 2014. I have loved Fitbit but this sync issue is getting on my last nerve. I will call customer support and I KNOW they are going to blame my phone. They will say that they are unaware of any other complaints even though there are many customers posting the same complaints right here on the reviews section!

Screen only dims in pitch black when you have auto dim "off" and set to "dim". Basically, auto dim doesn't work and you stare into a lightbulb at night just to check the time. Same thing on me & my bfs Charge 3. Pretty lame for a 200$ watch, what a joke please fix it and throw in a game while you're at it EDIT: Restarting doesn't fix it. It just doesn't dim to low in pitch black, only goes slightly lower than normal. Super stupid. EDIT 5/20/20 STILL DOESN'T DIM TO LOW ON AUTO?!??

This app keeps me motivated to get up and move. The helpful tips and bits of healthy info encourage me to do better and to push harder. Lately, however, the GPS tracking has gone a little fluey. It has me walking all sorts of crazy paths. Once I actually walked on water! Really? If I could edit the number of stars, I would remove one. Not happy I have to log in to Twitter to contact support. Phones are busy because of what has been going on. :(

  54. H Quints-avatar

Everything is all about subscription. Ohh you have to pay more to get a detailed stuff. Wait, you need oxygen variance in your sleep, oh you have to pay for that. What is this sleep rating, wait you want a detailed explanation well you have to join the premium subscription for that. Bogus. May 4, 2020- After the firmware update everything went into S%!+s. I cant get ahold of the support. The support website alone is down. I called and was on hold for more that 30 min. The chat support was the worst. My Ionic now doesn't turn on. I've tried troubleshooting and nothing. I don't know why I keep supporting Fitbit. SMH. Awesome job guys...

  55. CHERYLL _-avatar

The app itself is normally quite good. Three times in as many weeks I have had to reboot my watch as it won't sync. The quality of the watch is deteriorating. I purchased the rose gold watch 2 years ago & the strap was toast after 2 months. Yes, I follow the do's & dont's laid out in the guide. I reached out for support that was sub par. I was told on strap was on its way, it never arrived. I went on Amazon & purchased a new strap w/ no issues. Next time I have to reboot, I'm out. 😔

  56. Jo Mullins-avatar

Worked fine until the latest update and now heart rate is still tracking on watch but not showing on dash board for 3 days. It is now also recording only basic sleep data. BAD update! Update: Fitbit always gives the same response and act like it is a user error when the product is the problem. I had been to forums and followed all advice and it was still not working. Luckily my retailer replaced the device. Take some responsibility for your dud products/app updates and stop blaming users!

  57. m Ds-avatar

Downgrading to 1 star. Fitbit now constantly sends these notifications in-app about syncing that you cannot prevent. Even if you hit the button 'not now' they continue to reappear. Everytime I sync I need to see that notification. Fix this spam. The fitbit clock switching app hangs as well. You cannot sync from one device to the next with both bluetooth on. Seriously this app is buggy and shouldn't have left quality control. Plus your responses suck. Your community forums are run by morons.

  58. Ashley Oakes-avatar

Syncing issues. I've used the app for about 4 years or so now and never had a problem. I moved a few months ago and misplaced my Fitbit. When I found it I tried to log into my account and get back to it but it kept saying my password was wrong and i never received the email with the link to reset. I finally gave up and made a new account and now i can't pair my Fitbit. On my phone under the bluetooth search its saying it sees my fitbit but when I try to pair them it just searches. Disappointed

I have a Charge 2 and have used this app for 3 years. It has been perfect, for the most part. Recently, I started having some issues with inconsistency in my run distances and not syncing properly with My Fitness Pal, but I could still use most functions. Yesterday afternoon, anytime I tried to enter an exercise or even view my exercise history, it would crash and close. It had a new update ready to install. So I did that, hoping it would resolve the issue, but it didn't. It keeps crashing.

There are issues with displaying my daily statistics. The entire page is blank, like it's not loaded. I synced my device, force stopped the app, cleared the cache, and restarted my device. It is still not working. I'm not sure what is going on but it would be great if there was a hotfix for this issue. I am using a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ and my Fitbit is the Charge 3. Other than that issue, I love the app. It has helped me lose so much fat and keep track of my calorie intake and loss.

  61. Alice-avatar

So many little issues make this app a huge pain to use. It tells me I'm offline when connected to wifi; it thus only allows me to sync (a process that requires one to be online) when I'm using my mobile data. The sync feature itself simply doesn't work most of the time. I always have to reset my Bluetooth and location setting and sometimes have to reset my phone to make it work. It takes literally at least 5 minutes, which is very frustrating.

  62. Sandra Gordon-avatar

Being able to monitor my heart rate on the go is great! Easy to note when my heart rate goes into 'fat burn' mode. I am on a weight loss program and have lost 32 lbs in 4 months! My fitbit app is a great assistant on my wrist with Versa! Very satisfied .. can't say enough about how valuable it is to my daily life .. I'd be lost without it now!!

  63. Kaitlyn Hamblin-avatar

Syncing with myfitnesspal has managed to get even worse! Used to be able to force a sync by disconnecting apps and logging out of both and back in, which was tedious enough to have to do everyday! And now even that isn't working. Burn 400 calories, go through every step to force a sync and then it logs 80 calories?! Getting sick of it now.

  64. Deb Lozinski-avatar

This app worked great until the last few weeks. The Versa records my activity and steps, but the sync function with my Samsung Galaxy S6 is inconsistent. The suggested solution by the app doesn't work. I've removed and reinstalled the app, updated the Fitbit, and hard started the Versa; none of these actions have fixed the sync problem. My fitbit inconsistenly receives texts and calls, and uses the Bluetooth function to sync. Please fix this glitch!!

  65. Sandra Olson-avatar

I can't get the app itself to connect to my wifi anymore. I get a "no connection" error everytime I open the app. Had the app on my phone for years with no problems untill they did this last update. I do give Fitbit credit though they replaced my Versa after it stopped working. Only problem is I can't set the new replacement Versa up. Please fix this guys!

I love it when it works right but I have trouble getting it to sync from my Fitbit to my phone. I wear it to bed every night unless I'm having to charge the battery and I keep track of my steps everyday. My husband has to take it off my phone and then put it back on usually about once a week. I would love to upgrade at a reasonable cost

  67. Ashley Walsh-avatar

I have had my new versa 2 watch for 3 days. All though I love the watch, the app is terrible. I have had to uninstall and reinstall the app to connect it 6 times now. It constantly says " unable to connect device or device not found" This is getting very frustrating and I'm hoping you can fix the app because as a first time user it's very discouraging.

  68. Kimberley Glover-avatar

Love the app! I use it daily and review it several times a day. The challenges are very motivating. I wish there was a challenge were my cycling exercises counted. I wish everything was not all about steps. While I love walking my cycling exercises are more intense but I am not rewarded for that effort in the non premium challenges.

  69. Barely Deity-avatar

Generally good options but there are two recurrent issues. Firstly, the Fitbit alternates between overly sensitive to not sensitive enough when logging steps, requiring a stilted form of walking on occasion just to achieve consistent recording. This recording is then registered either in real time or in stilted jumps by the app. Secondly, the app itself is terrible at connecting to the Fitbit device, requiring restarts, multiple refreshes and generally jumping through hoops. EDIT:Update = worse.

  70. Audie Timms-avatar

Connection issues are very common. Update 1: I've tried your steps and they didn't help. Not sure if it's the Versa 2 or the app. Maybe it doesn't work well with the LG G6? Update 2: New phone and still have connection issues. Seems it won't connect at all with the Pixel 4. It's a flagship phone. If it would connect to anything you'd think it would be that. No luck at all. Connects to my PC just fine when it's plugged in. Guess I'll just have to live with half of the promised features?

  71. Puleng Willard-avatar

Even though sometimes it freezes and requires to be installed again...I love this App Now my Fitbit is was freezing often, then it couldn't sync. Then it did a rainbow colors on the my versa then the screen was off but the back light was still on. I kept it on the charger for a long time but still nothing. Now the back light is off too

Still no resolution. App' still won't run on 3 month old Android phone !! Will download but not open or run - ridiculous ! Have uninstalled it / reinstalled it probably 25 times, cleaned the cache, run virus checks, phone on/phone off but still useless. It will however load & run on a 3-4yr old Lenovo tablet but takes 5 or more attempts to even get it to open - why ??? There must be a copy of the previous version of this app' that always ran perfectly by the way, that you can roll back to ??

  73. Lee Forrest-avatar

I have a fibit Vera 2 which is only 3 months old at first the app was great but over the past 6 weeks it doesn't sync to to my watch and when it does it's for about a day, I don't get any notifications from my phone to the so called Smart Watch, I have to keep uninstalling the app and reinstall at least twice a week for it to work then .. you guessed it stops syncing ... So refresh, looking for device , it sync but all notifications stop working again ... Waste of money (watch) and waste of time

  74. Kristal Cerda-avatar

Everytime there is a software update it never works. I noticed it stopped tracking my sleep so I tried doing a factory reset thought maybe since I've had it for a while with the update it needed it. Now my watch just says download the app to get started and now the app won't open. I used to love my watch and tell everyone to get one and lately it's my biggest waste of money cause it never works.

  75. Kitty Aldridge-avatar

I've started getting only basic sleep pattern since the update on 4/16/20. I have tried everything I know to make it go back to showing sleep stages with a score but nothing works. I have made no change in placement on wrist or change in sleeping positions and keep sensors clean. I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in this. Also, problems syncing now. I used to love my fitbit, but no longer do and will be getting another brand that works ASAP. 😿

  76. Mark Metheny-avatar

I have Versa. Between the firmware updates and the updates to the Fitbit App this app continues to go downhill. My Versa requires constant (many times a day) rebooting to restore Touch screen access. The watch needs daily charging, I used to be able to go almost a week. The Fitbit app now constently crashes when selecting the Exercises. On the "help" forum there is silence. My advise is find a more reliable product and company.

Improved my Health When I first got Fitbit, I was trying to lose weight and track daily exercise. I found it very motivating. As I lost weight, I no longer needed a CPAP machine and I appreciated monitoring my sleep duration, timing, and stages. Unfortunately, my health declined with a rare disease. Fitbit recorded my elevated resting heart rate, sleep disturbances, and inactivity which was hard evidence I could share with my medical team. I am on the mend now and would never be without Fitbit

I like Fitbit and use this for many years. The app is simple to use and almost enough in function for me. Progress reports and some notification keep my motivation well. If I can make some requests, I'd like to record my blood pressure on this app. And I wish I could change the size of display and letters for my old eyes :)

  79. Joel LaJoie-avatar

My watch had been working great up until a couple of days ago I have done all the resets and removed and re added my Versa 2 but the watch keeps freezing and not allowing me to use the touch screen it is still recording data but not allowing me to access anything past the watch face. The watch is only a couple months old. I am not impressed at all.

I have had my Versa almost 2 years now, never had any problems until the recent update. Apparently I am doing 400+ physical activity minutes a day which is completely incorrect. Also I am lucky if my battery lasts 2 days before I need to charge it again. Have sent an e-mail just waiting for a reply however I know full well I will get a generic message back giving me advice to try their trouble shooting tips which I have tried but with no success!

The app is going through random moments where it just doesnt want to work. It is syncing and if I click steps it will pull up and show me steps but the minute I get to the main menu. It's nothing but blank and gray. It isnt showing anything. The app itself is messing up. I had no issues until about two or three updates ago and now the app just doesnt want to work. And messes up at least once a week and now it wont show me anything. It's just blank and gray. My versa 2 is still working fine.

  82. Lisa Kass-avatar

Love the Fitbit devices, I have upgraded 3 times and I now have the Versa 2 which is amazing (only because I wanted the music option). Great for all exercise routines and equipment and keeping track of heart rate zones and calories burnt. I use my own music playlist and connects easily and I don't have to carry around a phone or ipod or bulky headphones at the gym.

  83. L D-avatar

Horrible. The new android update rounds off your overall time to the minute. It does not give you seconds. So now I can no longer see the actual time that I ran my race. The most important Stat of all, your overall time, they have omitted. Hard to believe that the people at fitbit are actually that stupid.

  84. Paul Brown-avatar

My existing fitbit versa 2 was no longer being recognized by my phone and therefore not receiving notifications. I've tried going through the app, uninstalling the app and reloading, rebooting the watch, rebooting my router, placing the fitbit beside the router, factory reseting my fitbit, etc all of the tricks listed online. All of which have not worked. The app keeps saying that there's no internet connection and not allowing even the initial set up via Bluetooth. There must be an app problem.

  85. Beth Osgood-avatar

I've had this app since Christmas last year and it has worked fine until the recent update. My inspire HR used to sync with my phone (Motorola E5 play), but since the update I've been having to sync to the app using my iPad instead. As the Fitbit connects to my phone but not the app on it... Why is the Fitbit app only working on certain phones, especially as it works for most iOS devices, why not more Androids?

  86. Moritz von Oheimb-avatar

Purchased the Fitbit a year ago, worked well with nice features on the app. Then came an update and certain features were now gone and had to be purchased in a premium version! Awesome paying for an overpriced device just to limit you afterwards. Now also basic features like run tracking doesn't work. Even if I take my phone for GPS it will be off by over 30% and tell me i ran 4km when running 7 on a measured track... Sync has never really worked well. Sleep tracking is quite good at least.

  87. Gemma Bumstead-avatar

My phone keeps disconnecting from my Fitbit saying device not found. It's been happening for months now. Everytime I reset the fitbit, switch off bluetooth, reset my phone, switch on bluetooth, reset the fitbit again for good measure and follow the process to connect. However, having to do this has become more frequent and now the app can't find it at all 😔

  88. Eden Wilkinson-avatar

I loved this app when I first got my Fitbit Charge 2 device, I was able to track my runs with the GPS feature and see both my route and distance accurately. Over the last few months the app has just got worse, issues with syncing data and it's now pointless to use for tracking my runs and exercise. I'm highly disappointed and will be looking to change to another fitness tracking to device if the app doesn't improve.

  89. Andrea Balk-avatar

Very frustrated with the app.. I got my daughter the ace 2 and added her as a family member. No issues with switching from parent to kid view and back until an hour ago now the password I have had for EVER will no longer allow me to go back to parent view. I have had to uninstall and reinstall the app 4 times now.. Wth is going on???? I can't find anything to help either and I have used Fitbit devices and the app for over 5 years! I'm about to leave and go to Apple!!

  90. Linda Huffman-avatar

Update April 30, 2020. I don't understand why the app still isn't compatible with a Samsung S10 plus after having the phone for more than a year. Don't get notifications, can't use the pay option or many of the reasons I bought the Fitbit. Get on it Fitbit! Generally great. Bluetooth doesnt always sync and Deezer won't either.

  91. Lisa Vickery-avatar

Apparently this new update has caused alot the issues again. My charge 3 stopped connecting in syncing on July 3rd. I only noticed it yesterday because I don't check my app daily. Ran through every link every step before contacting customer service who ran me through every step and every link again which I did patiently. Finally inform them that I do have extended warranty on by fit bit and do I need to send it back. Now I'm being told an engineer is looking at it in to be patient. Not happy

  92. J A-avatar

Almost every day in the past 4 to 6 months has been an issue. The app used to be decent & update every day. Now, I constantly have to trouble shoot. I have the most updated version. Yes, I am technologically savvy enough to know how to trouble shoot. You never know what you will get w/customer service. One time, I had a WONDERFUL experience, and another time a TERRIBLE experience.

  93. Louise French-avatar

Updates don't and syncs won't. It'd help if you'd hyperlink to your help pages from the app. Uninstalling and powering off/on sites nothing. Syncing tips site you sent doesn't exist, so thanks for nothing. Customer service is a waste of time, there's a line of 40+ people just to message someone online. Getting a decent number of responders and supervisors would be a start.

  94. Karen McCarter-avatar

Past 3 updates have made my fitbit charge 3 go from bad to worse. It doesn't even work as a watch never mind a tracker. Not even 3 months old and it's fit for the bin. But support won't admit there is anything wrong with it. It's 2am and my watch thinks it's 7pm yesterday. And it hasn't and wont sync unless I add a new device now that doesn't work since new update. UPDATE: I have done everything you suggested several times, I have even reset my tracker and my phone to original factory settings and still the tracker will not sync with my phone. My phone can see the charge 3 but the charge 3 will not communicate with my phone, it is a useless piece of junk. I have been doing some research online and I have seen that this has been an issue with the charge 3 since 2018. Yet support were blaming my phone and my version of Android. It worked fine on my phone for 2 and a half months until you brought out an update to your software and the three since then have still not fixed it. The Bluetooth on the tracker is faulty full stop!

  95. Geoff Hogan-avatar

I don't like giving negative reviews but I have a new versa 2 since January and have had major synching issues since the start. I have given up on ever getting notifications on this watch. I use it to monitor my sleep and most of the time if I open the app in my phone in the morning I can download my data, but it doesn't always connect to my phone. This device has no function whatsoever as a smart watch though in my opinion. No notifications and connected apps such as Spotify are useless

  96. Johan de Beer-avatar

*Updated 24-Apr-2020* Only deleting and re-adding device to app fixed it, but losing unsynced data in the process. Been running OK for a few days now. *Updated 20-Apr-2020* Now it no longer finds the device, even after restart. --- Having sync issues lately. Only time it syncs is after a phone restart. EVERY SINGLE DAY. Feels like the most useless app on my phone at the moment. App version 3.18 Versa firmware Android 8.0.0

  97. Shelley Darch-avatar

The update on 28/04/20 has fixed the bugs, thank you. After several reinstalls, restarts and resets of the Altar HR, Fitbit app and Android phone, I´ve finally been able to remove and re-set up my device. It does take up to 15 minutes to connect though, so be patient after you enter the 4-digit pairing number. It has now synced.

  98. Mark Jones-avatar

I love my fitbit, had them for years, love the changes to when reviewing the exercise maps and being able to see best pace, but, looking at the times for runs the times only show rounded minutes and no seconds. Can the seconds be reintroduced? It makes a huge difference to determine if improvements have been made in a training program by having minutes and seconds represented. This would have been 5 stars otherwise. Update: Now crashes everytime the exercise tracker on the dashboard is opened.s9

  99. Katie Wright-avatar

This update has not fixed the whooping great bug that is inhibiting all our fitbits from syncing. Would you be so kind as to run the old version until you can realease a debugged version. I only purchased my fitbit charge three at the start of this year, discoving it obsolete 4 months later is a bit of an insult. I know there is a lot of pressure to release products and new software but please run an old app and a new app until this issue is resolved. Respect your customers and programmers guys

I was offered a free 90 day membership to premium, only to find out I've actually been charged! On topic, the premium is a bit of a disgrace. I understand charging for extra workouts etc, but having to pay to see my heart rate during the night is outrageous in my opinion. Also, my fitbit now sporadically loses connection when I run now, making the entire thing pretty pointless. I have to say, it was good when it was working well, but now I feel like it's a huge letdown and a waste of money. I thought that paying for a more premium brand would be worthwhile, but this is a letdown. ALSO, to preempt them replying to this comment, I've gone through all potential forum solutions and none work. They now just aren't replying to anyone saying it's still not working. Take some responsibility please!
