Privacy Policy

This policy explains what AAPKs (“we”), the operator of aapks.com, collects and why. You can browse the site and download apps without an account.

What we collect

• Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical request data — IP address, browser type, page requested, referring page and time — to run and secure the site.
• Messages you send. The contact and DMCA forms store the details you enter (such as your name, email address and message) together with your IP address and the time, and email a copy to us. We use them only to answer you, to handle copyright notices and to fight spam, and keep them only as long as needed for that or as the law requires.
• Download unlock. After you answer the quick check on a download page, a cookie remembers that for 15 minutes so the page still works if you reload it. It holds no personal information.
• “Did this version work?” reports. If you answer this question on a download page, we add your answer, and the Android version and problem you chose, to totals for that file, which are shown on our pages. To count each visitor once per file and day, and to stop forged reports, we keep a one-way code made from your IP address and the date (not the IP address itself), how many reports it sent that day and one-way codes of the files it reported. These are deleted within about two days.
• Administrator sign-in. If you are the site administrator, a sign-in cookie keeps you logged in, and failed sign-in attempts are recorded with their IP address for a short time to stop password guessing.

Cookies

We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookies we set are the short-lived download-unlock cookie and the administrator sign-in cookie described above; both are strictly necessary for those features. If that ever changes, we'll update this policy first.

Outside services your browser contacts

To show our pages, your browser loads some content directly from other companies, which receive your IP address and handle it under their own privacy policies:

• WordPress.com image CDN (i0.wp.com) — app icons, screenshots and video thumbnails.
• cdnjs / Cloudflare — the icon font used across the site.
• QR Server (api.qrserver.com) — on download pages, it receives the address of the page to draw the QR code.
• The app store that hosts the files — APK and game-data files download directly from its servers, which receive your IP address.
• YouTube — only if you open an app trailer, which takes you to YouTube.

Our server also fetches app information from that store's public interface; that request comes from our server, not from your browser.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, through the contact form. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict how we use it, and to complain to your data-protection authority.

Children

The site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

When this policy changes, we update it here and change the date at the top.
