If you are a Prime member, this is a no-brainer. Unlimited photo storage means you can power dump all of the CDs and thumb drives that have been rattling around for 15 years. So Aunt Edna will completely adore you, and those 1MB per shot photos are not an issue. The downside is it is truly just a dump site. You can upload photos into an album, but manipulating them further is limited. Still, it is a boon to the technologically challenged (like me) and a great for sharing.

No different than Google photos, you can set the app to automatically upload your photos from your camera or online sites. I haven't really checked out the options the app affords you, but next time I get bored I will. Other than that, just another cloud storage that does not interfere with any one of my apps.

Not very good. Unable to have sub folders within the main folders. I have over 30k images, having been a keen amateur photographer for the past 14 years. This app is not suitable for storing this amount of images. I am using Amazon Drive instead where I can load everything up to look identical to the hard drive on my pc. If all you want to do is back up your phone camera, this will do ok. Anything else, forget it.

This would be an absolutely perfect app if Amazon would go one easy step further.....add a wallpaper feature so we can set our photos as wallpaper!!! PLEASE!!!! Oh yeah and make it easier to find folders albums & files. UPDATE: Guess the developers are just too lazy or too stupid. Very disappointing they can't do anything that is SIMPLE, for them it has to be complicated. 😠😠😠

The app is a fantastic, basic image app. It's similar but much better than the Flickr interface. It's also lightning fast uploading pics to your online storage when wifi is available... it's way fast and dependable in that fashion, unlike the Flickr upload process which seems to have a mind of its own.

This app flat out sucks. It will not auto save from my OnePlus 6t no matter what my settings are. Do not waste your time with Amazon's "tech support chat" either. The main advice is to uninstall then reinstall. Works great to back up photos then. In fact you'll get the same photo uploaded at least 3-12 times. Then it never auto saves a darn thing to your cloud again. Useless piece of trash.

Overloads the system every day and needs to be stopped. This takes up far too much processing and battery power as it is, it needs a serious rethink to allow for the fact it is a mobile device. Also seems to get stuck when uploading things, so that's also great.

Good app. Prime member is an excellent benefit. Great for backing up photos, day memories and sharing. Additional features aren't available like other apps(photo editing, cropping, creating colleges/videos...etc). Does a decent job, keep developing features and this could be an exceptional app.

07/23/21 Update: app has been very glitchy lately. Closes for no reason. Stops responding, force closes. 3/06/21 Update: Terrible!! I cannot get my photos to sync up from one device to the next. I have the Amazon Photos app on my tablet, my cellphone, my laptop and my fire stick. Each device shows different photos. Please fix this issue? 10/2020: I absolutely love all the editing options!! Great job guys!
