Good app to see detailed training and health statistics. Overall I am happy about it. I am using it with Vantage M watch. Of course there are areas, what need improvement: UI theme is old-ish; can't edit workout; can't select which app can send notifications to watch. Also I want to have option of allowing incoming calls notification sent to watch during workout. Keep up good work Polar!

  2. Tonny-avatar

Most of all I like the polar device itself. The loop 2 is not the latest but one of the only ones left to be read horizontal. So I don't need my reading glasses with it. Then at first I thought this app required too much rights (location) but with the accurate developer feedback I stand corrected. I had compared this app on new android with other apps on older android. The difference is indeed in the google (android) requirements. The app itself provide good insights and historical overview of data collected by the polar device

  3. Live Life-avatar

    Live Life

I am participant in a exercises research project. It been over a year and had nothing but problems with this application, polar strap, and watch. A junk!! It does not upgrade or sync correctly. After it syncing then it stops recording. I changed the batteries which my battery checker said it was good. So it's a junk item. DON'T BUY!!

  4. Himmelsfeger-avatar

Just crashes after logging in since the 4.4.3 version. The tech support tells me to wait since May or do stuff in the app I can't open. I reinstalled the app many times and cleared all its data on my phone, nothing helps. My 200€ watch loses almost all of its functions without a working app.

  5. Gail Hebden-avatar

    Gail Hebden

This is my third polar watch. Moved onto the unite from A370. Find the watches easy to use to record steps, workouts etc. The polar app offers loads of information if your looking to see how you are progressing on your fitness journey. I would definitely recommend over fitbit anyday.

  6. Zsolt Vitályos-avatar

    Zsolt Vitályos

Delivers quite a lot of information. Very useful app. I gave 4 stars, because I really miss dark theme. If dark theme will be available, and no new bugs will appear, I will give 5 stars.

  7. Cabel John Gribben-avatar

    Cabel John Gribben

Seeing I can't sync from myfitnesspal to flow, I would love an easier way to input weight updates, like a widget or an easy button in the app, instead of having to edit profile. App is otherwise fine, but a shadow of the full website experience.

  8. Javier Espinoza-avatar

    Javier Espinoza

Little bit outdated but easy to use and read interface. Only problem is that I have had problems syncing my device (Grit X) quite often. Need to unpair/pair so it gets working again. Could be much better.

  9. Shlomo Pongratz-avatar

    Shlomo Pongratz

Usually good app which I use with my Plar H10 Heart rate sensor on my LG G6. But sometimes it has sync issues, for example: The results of October the 30 are shown in Polar bit and and on Polar flow web app but are not show in Polar flow app on my LG G6.

  10. Dominic Richens-avatar

    Dominic Richens

Like that it Auto syncs after a few days if I don't. Nice visual representation of activity over the day, including sleep. Excersize heart monitoring very useful too.

  11. Michael Sinclair-avatar

    Michael Sinclair

The more training sessions I do, the more this app can deliver. Enjoying this app that provides great feedback on all my sessions so I can progress and move forward. 5 stars so far.

  12. Guy Chavez-avatar

    Guy Chavez

Everything I need to know. Easy to use. I love the interactive training maps. Evaluate your route and see elapsed time, HR, elevation, pace as you trace your finger around the route you ran, walked, biked. Sleep analysis is great. And a quick view of your days activity is complete and displays on the main page.

  13. heather mcarthur-avatar

    heather mcarthur

The information contained in in the app is good but I feel it is lacking in comparison to Garmin. I don't like when you open your Run and look at your lap times for a 6.14k run it doesn't give you a time for the 0.14k. They have no menstruation tracking. It doesn't state your resting heart rate daily and it doesn't take into account any rest during the day from sitting down or even if you have a nap. It is good but could be better

  14. Kati Kataja-avatar

    Kati Kataja

I have been using watch and app now two weeks and I'm so excited about all the data I can see. Everything works great 👍

  15. Raphael Epand-avatar

    Raphael Epand

The sleep app is undependable. If you get up at night the app does not recognize that you had a reason. Or the watch decides your not wearing it right. Yet during the day it works fine.

  16. Helen White-Knight-avatar

    Helen White-Knight

Really good other than some sync issues - also the cardio load is a bit all over the place and doesn't work properly if you have to input a workout that didn't track properly for whatever reason through the HR monitor (this is another issue with Polar Beat where sometimes I can't download a workout saved in the chest strap monitor)

  17. Joe Roberts-avatar

    Joe Roberts

Good app, gives plenty of information/feed back, can be a little complicated at times. Doesn't sync with erg data or concept 2 rower. And now having done a swim run event, using the multisport tab and having to waste time constantly going back and forth trying to find the correct event through the menu is poor and a downside to the app and watch, if it wasn't for this would be 5

  18. Kim Evans-avatar

    Kim Evans

Latest version not downloading on Android. Last app update broke sync and features with Polar Vantage M, so can no longer recording any cycling activities.

  19. Jennifer Research-avatar

    Jennifer Research

For the serious health nut! Love the sport tracking with GPS and gold standard heart rate tracking. Also love the sleep tracker which is the most detailed yet. Love this watch and App. Complainers really need to understand you are packing a LOT into a small watch and app. Bravo engineers and developers!!

  20. Alexius None-avatar

    Alexius None

Added a link to the blog page ?! Add better the ability to synchronize data with other services on demand, if some time it not work in auto. Make it possible to edit training data. Make one app with polar beat. Why i can't start recording my pool workout on h10 via watch or polar flow? Sleep mode same time start count sleep when watch on table. Why i can't set right time after?

  21. Vikas Maheshwari-avatar

    Vikas Maheshwari

I forgot my password..clicked on reset password never got email..opened case with team been more than 48hrs and no response. Due to this I cannot sync with other apps

    Håvard Horndalen Tveit

Simple and intuitive to use, yet lots of great features!

  23. Manu Schijf-avatar

    Manu Schijf

This app is utter trash. Looses connection half the time with uploads from my m200. When it does connect it uploads a run but then just thinks it's not even a run. If by utter chance it does actually upload a run and it loads it like an actual rub it will likely fail to transfer it to Strava/googlefit. I can't even get it to link with komoot. Just gives me a loading page forever. I think I've managed to get a run into Strava from this one less than a dozen times. Love the watch. Not the app.

  24. Sean de Jager-avatar

    Sean de Jager

Was good when i got the app and watch. Now my training sessions do not updare. Saved ob watch but does not sync with app

  25. L Kiersch-avatar

    L Kiersch

Love this app and the watch, only gripe is accuracy of open water swims.

  26. 永遠にオペラ-avatar

I am using polar v800. The watch is ok, but software of polar flow and the app is completeley blown by garmin's software (used in pair with 920xt). It is a shame for products managers...they do not even understand JTBD properly....

  27. Akseli-avatar

Syncing and viewing your data is good. User interface needs an update and it could be more intuitive. Too many colors for different things eg. when viewing your daily activity.

  28. Daniel Faingold-avatar

    Daniel Faingold

Just OK. I would switch but I don't believe Polar allows other apps on the phone. Activities don't synch with my Vantage and most features are better to look at in my watch. The history is the one thing useful.

  29. Lynn runner-avatar

    Lynn runner

Doesn't show smaller mile increments and doesn't always have running index like Garmin

  30. Alberto Giron-avatar

There is no reason why Polar needs my location besides spying on me...it's just uncool that I can't chose not to give my permission for it or to use another app....I would give zero stars if I could, for infringing on my privacy

  39. Jornsen-avatar

Not really a good app. Does not really work with older devices.. not able to sync or downloading new firmware, therefore, device can not be identified.

  40. adrian iordache-avatar

  58. Siobhan Norman-avatar

    Siobhan Norman

Initially this worked fine with my M430 but now will not sync. Incredibly frustrating, have now uninstalled. UPDATE: I see I got the usual response from the developer. Just to let you know that before I posted this initial review I tried ALL your troubleshooting ideas - Airplane mode on/off, restarting the watch, uninstalling/reinstalling the Polar Flow app etc etc NOTHING worked. I really think that you need to look seriously into sorting this app out. Polar -you should be better than this!!

  59. Mark Sharp-avatar

    Mark Sharp

Will not sync with Polar V650 Cycle Computer (I'm using a Samsung S10 Plus). Very frustrating as it won't synch Vis USB on my MacBook. Have to keep using my Daughter's windows laptop. I've emailed Polar, but have had no feedback. Works great with my Vantage V though. However, I feel I May be heading back to Garmin very soon. Update: generic support response with a link to the same pages I have already tried, and to the same form I have filled twice and had no response to.!

  60. Lori Orzechowski-avatar

    Lori Orzechowski

Pretty good app - when it actually decides to sync the data from Polar Beat... really hope to see this sync issue get fixed, because it's super annoying to have to put the data manually into Flow because it's not being pushed over from Beat. Honestly it would be even better if you guys consolidated the two apps into one. So that sync issue is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5.

  61. Mac Dab-avatar

great app, plenty usfull stats...overall superb

  62. Shauna C-avatar

    Shauna C

The running stats are great, no issues with content layout etc. Recently switched from iPhone to android. App will not stay running or connected to my watch to get phone notifications. searched every online tutorial on polar website and did everything thing they say notifications, battery, permissions etc. It worked when I first paired my watch, now nothing. Updated: Thank you for the reply. While support sent me the same tutorials, ultimately uninstalling and reinstalling the app worked.

  63. William Davey-avatar

    William Davey

I am in my 70s and use the Polar Flow App for all my training sessions. However what I do find irritating is the load estimate, or lack of it. If the training load is less than 8 days, then Polar Flow App will report a figure that is consistent with the Web version. If the training load is over 8 days then Polar Flow App will report "mild", or nothing at all. The Web version will report " over 8 days". Clearly there is software error in the App.

  64. Jason Langdon-avatar

    Jason Langdon

Update 7/23/2020 Since latest update I've gotten the V650 to connect once on my S9. Before that it worked fine. V650 just endlessly says connecting. I cleared all data/cache and after that didn't work reinstalled. Needs more QC as this happens way too often. My next computer will be a Garmin or a Wahoo. Original review Nice but issues after recent update for ignite. my V650 connects to my S7 but now constantly fails to update and throws an error. Worked great umtil this update.

  65. C S-avatar

    C S

So the app is great - it's the watch that's not. The Polar Unite could have been a top fitness device but with less than 3 days battery life it's a big fail. The app is well laid out and there are a lot of options. It would be nice if you could adjust the sleep time to help make it more accurate but that's a minor thing. If the watch itself was better this would be a 5 star review.

  66. Piotr Chuptys-avatar

    Piotr Chuptys

This app is a JOKE as well as Polar managment and dev team ! I am not allowed to use app locally on the phone with watch because Polar BRAINS have decided that you HAVE to sign in to ONLINE services, no other option allowed. They do not respect that I DO NOT want to share my personal data !! Huge mistake and disrespect for all customers. What a shame and WTH situation ... by the way, interesting case - just ONE day after MSPO army equipment fairs in Kielce, so does a POLAR spy on NATO friends ?

I have the polar ignite for a year now and suddenly it starts freezing, doesn't want to sync with my phone , tried unpairing, restart, uninstall sync and re installed, nothing helps, still the same !!! None of the sport functions want to open just freezes ! Is it better to choose another brand of watch rather since nothing works????

  69. Sam Bagatin-avatar

    Sam Bagatin

It's a great app which makes my workout and history easy to see. Love the features but I wish there could be a way to customize the workout in the watch according to what I need to do (10x4 push ups, 20x5 squats) with timer and animation. That would drive the experience to a whole new level

  70. Paul Sukhu-avatar

    Paul Sukhu

Great app to support mobile uploads of training data. A decent range of analytics in a pretty saturated market - Polar Flow does this element well and in a user friendly and intelligent way. Bluetooth link to my aging GPS watch (M400) has worked well now with three different android devices since I started using the app (Google Pixel 1, Pixel 3 and Samsung S20) as has the sync/link with Strava - all pretty impressively seamless.

  71. Erhan Raif-avatar

    Erhan Raif

I have been a Polar user since 1991. I was very excited to get the Ignite but my excitement turned to disappointment. During my swimming sessions the watch goes into pause while in open water and pool mode. This means my measurements are not accurate. Is there a fix for this ?

  72. David Rumary-avatar

    David Rumary

Still won't sync properly and I've tried everything.... Luckily Garnin are having their own issues otherwise I'd have swapped over already.... V800 won't sync with a Huawei P30 - need to set up a new pairing every time - seriously annoying. Let's hope there is a proactive response rather than recommending I contact my local service team.....

  73. Colin-avatar

Very disappointed. After switching from garmin and everything working fine to begin with, the watch now won't sync to the app/phone. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app a number of times. Closed down all the other apps in the background as well. Still nothing

Love the Polar Flow app with my Polar Vantage M. GPS is so accurate. HR monitor works great for walking and running and measuring HR during day. I find it is not that accurate with strength training or spinning. I use a Polar H10 HR strap monitor for my lifting and spinning workouts synced to the Polar Beat app on my phone. And all of it syncs seamlessly with Polar Flow. It is an awesome ecosystem.

Nice app that is collecting plenty of info from the watch. Different kind of graphs and historical data. This will help you to track your development. App is also really clear to view. Only minus is the long syncing time when you transfer data to app from watch.

  77. Jason Tsang-avatar

    Jason Tsang

Needs more work. The basics are fine, but it's not perfect. Eg. You activity is by default starts at 6pm. Why? There's no way for the app to learn your training habits and preferences. And you have to set the time for each day. You also can't enable the gps to work.

SYNCING DATA BETWEEN POLAR DEVICE AND POLAR FLOW APP FAILS with error 'connection was lost during sync. please sync '. Tried the reinstall/ unpair and pair as per polar sites says. It may work for couples activity loads and again it's FAILS. How many times we have to uninstall and reinstall?? My model is v800.

Very insightful app with lots of data and information about performance and other statistics which can help improve your training and exercises. I only wish that the synchronisation of my vantage M watch would be done automatically other that it is quite a helpful and detailed app

After using Polar flow for a week, I'm impressed with the sleep data, which is important to me. Only issue from running perspective is stride length is not recorded from the Vantage M, it requires a foot pod, unlike the Garmin Connect.

Does not support importing of any other completed training sessions. Does not allow any editing of finished training sessions. Both of these issues mean that the app can potentially give inaccurate information regarding training load and recovery. Users have been asking for both issues to be resolved for years ( according to the forum, polar said they were looking into it about 3 years ago ). Until resolved, app will never be as accurate as needed to be truly useful as a training tool.

  85. Pablo Jacome-avatar

I give it 3 of 5 because, although it works really well and allow you to check many details from your workout, I am missing two important things: +lack of possibility to modify your planned workouts or delete them. You have to connect to the website to do so. + lack of map showing the speed and not only your path. Is a featurr present in the Adidas app for exemple and I really miss it. Otherwise, this app is an easy way to sync your polar clock when you get back from tour workout :)

This is a fantastic app! It tells you info like; how much calories you have burnt, how many footsteps you have taken. It will give good tutorials & many more! This is a useful app & if you are interested in a device that tells you how many calories you are burning. I recommend that you buy a Polar smart watch & this app! This is an amazing app overall!

Does most of what it claims to do but I would appreciate if more rich stats for sleep are also provided (REM sleep etc.) The latest update makes the app link to the smartwatch rather difficult and many times fails to enable notifications for it via Bluetooth.

The app frequently fails to sync with the device (ignite) requiring me to try multiple times. The device and app fails to properly record breathing rate while sleeping though this metric is a key factor in rating sleep quality. The app doea not explain the acience behind the metrics they record so it is difficult to have much conf8dence in the data. On a positive note, the training section does a good job of recording pulse data while working out. Very useful.

Mixed feelings...pros and cons. I don't like the presentation of data on the activity screen which appears too spread out unlike Garmin which is more precise and gives you an option to drill down for more data from you daily activities if you choose to. Polar need to tidy up that main screen that tells you your HR, pace, distance etc..maybe they could try using smaller fonts just on that main screen?

I have a Polar A300 watch and syncing is good with it. My problem is that I've changed phones and now I can't seem to sync/connect Polar flow app with My Fitness Pal app. I tried everything, uninstalling both app and reinstalling it again. Signing in and out. Nothing works. No idea what to do because it worked flawlessly with my previous phone, I'm very disappointed.

Totally useless. I tried to install polar flow on Mac, cannot work at all. The app just hang n do nothing. Resolved to try this app but also not working. Total rubbish! The website deleted my activities sincerity my first use in December, 2019 to March 2020, as if I never existed. Then after the April 29, 2020 update, my M430 couldn't connect with the phone. The May 5 (or so) patch update, didn't patch anything that I needed. Trying through the laptop did not work with the cord, either. So I have a M430 that cannot connect to anything. Uninstall, re-install. Rinse repeat 4 times. No change! Aggravating.

It is impossible to sync the v650 with this app, it worked like once or twice in the beginning and never again after that. contacted customer service they have no solution or idea. Even syncing the device with polar flow for pc only works when installing the software and bonjour new every single time I want to sync a activity. It is extremely frustrating and I have no more patience with this device and software. Better go with Garmin and pay extra for a better working solution.

I've been using it for about a week now in tandem with my Vantage M. The app is easy enough to use and presents all my data in a simple way. It's easy to drill into my activities. My only criticism is that there seems to be some features that can only be accessed through the web portal. But that seems to be more on the social side, i.e. linking with friends etc. Very happy with Polar.

Sync with M430 device fails very often, help is to reinstall, can't be bothered to do that everyday, what a pain. Fix the sync! Workaround, enable phone notifications, and it syncs automatically, however the manual sync is still a hit and miss affair. As a suggestion for improvement, other than the sync, why not add a facility to track your weight?

Really like app however over the last month or so my watch will not synchronise properly with the app. This results in both the watch and app indicating sync is complete but no data is displaying in the app. Just done a sync from 12 June to 28 June no data displayed. So tried sync on my pc over the USB link and the data was ok but as usual no continuous heart rate data.

Overall I like the app the only issues I have are that it doesn't sync automatically with the watch, and sometimes not even manually, even though it says it's synced. I also don't like that there are constant information boxes (they can get a bit annoying). But other than that, it's great.

The app initially worked great. I liked the readings and info on it and easy to understand. But after 2 weeks, the app stopped syncing to my A370. I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it but now it will not sync to the app at all. The app is so much worse than the Garmin one, at least that sync my data everytime, I just didn't like the info on it and it wasn't simple to use.

I got my Vantage M almost a year ago now, right away it refused to fetch my synced weight from Google Health, forcing me to input it manually from time to time. Of course it then syncs this weight TO google health so I get a haphazard measurement in between the genuine ones from my wifi scale. Polar responded to this complaint right away but failed to do anything about it. The pulse data is also not synced, but that is apparently a feature and not a bug. I will probably get a Garmin next, hell, even Fitbit at least tells you in advance they won't let you use your data for anything outside their app.

The app is really good for customizing the sport profiles and layout of information for each profile. I use it with my Polar H10 and Polar Vantage V and the app works well enough for what I mostly use it for (HR recording during sessions). I use another app for data analysis. My gripes are: 1) takes too long to sync with my polar watch. Typically ~2+ min. Why is it so slow? 2) I cringe every time there is an update as something will inevitably stop working or not work correctly (i.e. stops pushing data to other apps) and I have to contact support

Easy to use app with clear graphics for activity and sleep, lots of info and the option to plan your training for the next year in a lot of detail if that's what you want, or in a more straightforward way if you just want to aim for a distance. Also has loads of links to in-depth explanations of all the information that is stored and displayed.

Sync only works sometimes, every 2 weeks I have to reinstall. Now my watch does not sync any activity anymore. Makes no fun. Why does the App keep asking me about sharing contacts and location? Why? Why? How often do I have to say no. This was my first and last Polar watch. I am so dissapointed that the basic funcionality of the App: the sync between watch and Smartphone does really not work properly. It is frustrating.

Continuous disconnection issues/error after error Every couple of month (or less) the app and watch stop syncing. I start the same process, unpair devices, reset Bluetooth, log out of Flow app, log back in, turn it on, and it won't connect, then I'll proceed to redownload the app, reset my phone and reconnect and see if any of these worked. Interestingly, the "sync support" link on the app gives me a 504 error!

Been using fitbit for 2 years and decided to try polar as i use to have a polar watch years ago. Big mistake. I tried to see if i can make it work but syncing is horrible and it keeps losing connection so i cant see the route i cycled afterwards. I now regret not taking the device back when i still had the chance. Fitbit app is a million times better and more user friendly and does not take ages to sync. I am now using my old fitbit while the brand new polar is in the drawer.

Seeing a lot of reviews saying this app is trash and not able to see your workouts. Not having any issues with that and actually find this app better than the Apple app where I was having continuous syncing errors. New edit: Changed from one to back to five stars again! I uninstalled the app completely from my phone, then reinstalled it. Everything is back to working perfectly again! I am very happy and satisfied!!! Older review (post April 22 update): Polar just killed the app with their latest April 22 update:-( When I select a training session now, the app crashes and closes. By far the easiest way to keep track of training and recovery. Just a simple press of the button on your watch and everything backs up to the app on your phone via bluetooth. No pulling out the computer to look at old training logs and see your progression. Simpler is better

Why does the app need my ohone to have an internet connection to sync with my watch? Why does the app need my phone's GPS to be turned on to sync with my watch, which has a GPS sensor of its own? I wish apps would not limit users by forcing them to give up personal data that is not necessary. Can do better, much better.

I got the latest Polar Unite watch. I installed the app and initially (for maybe 1 hour) it was showing the activity part, but then it disappeared! I tried uninstalling it, installing on my old phone, unpairing the watch, but nothing helped. Also, my watch doesn't sync with the app showing that it cannot sync because they are not paired - BUT both devices show in their settings to be paired. Has to be the worst exercise app ever. Only ever worked on an old Nexus 7, sadly now deceased. Hopeless. It should be easy to use - it isn't.

Going from fitbit to polar flow, must say im really disappointed. The app is messy and even tho they advertise that the clock has good tracking of sleeping, exercising etc, it just show some fancy numbers and graphs that's almost unreadable with very little information . You have a lot to learn from fitbit.. Cant even customize the clock face, thats really annoying.

Since recent update my flow app will not pick up my distance after a run e.g. if I run 10km it will not pick up the distance and will only show half of it but it registers the run. Be good if the activity level fed into the work out info. I'm sometimes 240% in activity but still just maintaining. Be good if it suggest I have a bigger activity level on some days. Dont fully understand sleep part on the app it generally says something different to on my phone which is confusing however on the whole i really find it useful. Couldnt get to original tutorials would be good if these were somewhere easy to access as started watching them and then they disappeared.

I do like the app but it is a pity that you can't break down the distance for instance to less than 100m and then if you have to do 10x100m you cant see the total time in the first column. It is to big to fit in the first column even if you change the font
