Reviews From google play store

Great, except... You can't always reformat notes as you want. You have to cut and paste the note in to a separate document and then cut and paste it back to OneNote. It automatically opens on Recent Notes and there is no way to disable this. Since there is no order or any rhyme or reason to my recent notes it would be much better just go to the home page which has all my folders and notes organised as I wish. Normal computer font sizes are too small on a phone.

Coming from OneNote2016 which I loved. Determined to master OneNote Windows 10 because of cloud versatility. OneNote has been for years my go to storage for text and images. I like to organize and OneNote provides many places I can group my information, i.e., in order of unit, 1) Notebooks, 2) Section Groups, 3) Sections, 4) Pages, and 5) Sub-pages. In addition to all these types of locations I can create links from one location to another. Also, the search feature increases productivity.

I'm a huge fan of OneNote and Microsoft's moves into the cross platform app space in general. I can't give this app the rating it deserves on Android. OneNote for Windows, iOS/iPadOS, and Mac all have features absent in the Android version. Some of those are "nice to have" features that aren't critical. Night mode/dark theme, easily adding tags, etc. Others are critical. Drawing shapes, variety of pen tips, etc. Stop treating your Android users like second-class citizens! Please Microsoft!

Besides the occasional, page error/sync conflict, this app is my note taking goto. My notes and various writings are saved on all devices, which is very convenient for those like myself. Thoughts & ideas on the go, can be elusive and fleeting but once I jot it down in OneNote, it's there until I no longer need it. Do yourself a favor by first, familiarizing yourself with the app, then utilise it, to its maximum potential. (-1 star for sync errors only)

Like a lot and have used for years but still needs some tweaks. This app allowed me to integrate a d consolidate. I used to use Evernote and some lesser known others but they all had limited formatting, editing and integration [with other apps] features. A long time MS Office user (isn't everybody?) I decided to give OneNote a try. I liked its paper like notebook form factor. Now I use it to capture a d catalogue everything work and personal! My one wish, as with all MS software, is consistency

OneNote is one of the all star apps that Microsoft put out. Its seriously useful for almost any journalling, notebook, study, task. Its a tool for accumulating and sorting your thoughts, projects and data into easily organized 'notebooks' of sections and pages, made up of photos, text, tables, links etc. Furthermore, it works across the wide diverse range of platforms. Give it a try, you'll love it!

Onenote is a great note- taking app. It has improved my lecture experience tremendously. However, moving from a Microsoft surface to an android tablet has been a pain in the ass. The android app has barely any of the functions that the Windows versions have. There is no drow to shape, draw to text, dark mode, ruler, maths function, choice of pen and highlighter color, etc. etc. It is disappointing.

Needs some serious updates! I've used OneNote for a long time now, this is the first time I have used it on chrome/google/android device (the new pixelbook go) and I'm shocked at the lack of features. Not even basic stuff like spell check, or the ability to rename or move tabs around. Highly disaapointed, much better off just using the web version if you have internet connection.

This app is far inferior to its desktop counterpart! OneNote on PC is easily my favourite productivity tool when it comes down to writing down and organising ideas. However the mobile app is lackluster. The first and easiest thing to add would be a Dark Mode for the app to match the theme most people have on their PCs. The second thing would be the ability to edit and change notebook names on your phone - and also the name changes never seem to sync from PC to the app. I could go on...

I've been able to keep track of all of my notes from school and work on my main laptop but when an idea hits me or I have some down time to work it's easy and convenient to have OneNote on my phone as well. I know that all of efforts are being saved and that I always have my notes from both places with me. That way nothing is ever missed or duplicated. It is also easy to share with others.

Blatantly skips Microsoft two step verification and therefore will not open my files. Two step verification begins to open before it switches screens and starts to "get things organized". Recent apps button shows no instance of two step verification. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but the same thing happens. . . Update: I had to re-sign into Microsoft Office, and now it works fine.

The most Flexible Note System I've tried. You have the ability to color code tags, can use the screen vertically as well as horizontally, adding notes is breezy in a large document, you can put your notes literally anywhere on your page. You have notebooks that you can add pages too so it's easy to organize your information. It has drawing tools and editing tools. 1* off for not being able to color the background of each individual note only feature I want as it makes visual indexing faster

At first I was apprehensive in using this software however it became a great way to store my notes of thoughts that are normally scribbled on to a notepad. Slowly by slowly I am changing decades of old school note taking into OneNote. It would be better to use the voice to text for note taking. As I am becoming accustomed to OneNote, over a variety of platforms, I am realising that there some sync issues and the stickynotes features are not present on the Android tablet platform. Unimpressed.

After toying with OneNote on desktop (which I don't enjoy the layout of), I decided to organize my thoughts on mobile and have found much more utility on mobile than on desktop. This app organizes for me better than even Google's best offerings and is stable and fast. From organizing my personal budget to a DND campaign, this app scratches an organization itch I never thought I could ever scratch. I Can't recommend it enough.

Like: Seamless integration on PC, Android, iPad, MacBook Air... this and Sticky notes on Windows 10; my two favourite apps of them all. Great for notestaking in class, memos, recipes, personal can lock you personal notes too. Handwriting and drawing features are great too! Dislike: MS is bad with managing accounts. I want to keep my university acc separate, but it keeps mixing them up. Tip: Don't mix it with your school account though. You'll regret it like me.

This is amazing! I can write down literally everything I need here. The fact that you can promote and demote pages is super handy!! You can even add passwords on certain pages and sections! Great app! One problem though, if you accidentally deleted any section that is password protected, you can't get it back - so if you have some important info there, you're done.

Absolutely terrible experience ☹️ the app does NOT copy/paste properly. Typing seems to break often and it randomly starts entering characters/words when hitting backspace. Strangest behaviors. Coauthoring notebooks ends up with conflicts way too often. I filed feedback about the copy/paste issue and have heard nothing back. I've been a huge OneNote fan for something like 12 years, but this mobile experience has me researching other options for digital notebooks.

Great for the Office Suite but lacks customizability. I'm using a Galaxy Note 9 and the stock Samsung Notes app is great with one major drawback: you're limited to the width of the screen. I knew OneNote allowed extendable page width but I'm disappointed in the lack of options when using an S Pen. Poor stylus support, at least with the mobile version.

Android version is limited in features compared to windows, but still good for writing down ideas and having access to it from anywhere later. I love how I can share notebooks with other users. I just wish I could export my work to a pdf file; or print tt. If this is a feature, I've never been able to find it.

Present function are good but not enough for making notes. These function needed→ 1. drawing perfect shape. 2. Eraser(present work good) but It is still limited. 3. No option of filling shape with color. 4. Select the area in text and fit according to your need anywhere on notes, And many others. You can say add Ms Paint tools into onenote.

I've used it for years and love it! only problem I have is sometimes the outline of the page comes out differently than how it appears on my laptop which makes it hard to read. Also, I can't listen to my voice recording on the app :( not on my personal phone (galaxy s10e) or on work phone (iphone)

Windows 10: Use every day, and it works OK. Super useful - I recommend it. But - Android: On my Samsung Note 10, I can see notes created on my PC, BUT I can neither add nor edit text. This is VERY FRUSTRATING, hence the one-star rating!! Rating will go up when/if this is fixed. Thanks in advance for the fix.

Excellent when used on a tablet with a physical keyboard--it's a real word processor experience--but not so great when thumbing on a small screen. In fact, it's close to unusable on a handphone. I was, however, looking for something "nice" that syncs between devices and from which I can export text from one app or device (including PCs) to another, so I'll continue to use it. So overall, pretty good.

The lack of many features available on PC makes me questions the viability of using this app. How do you not include the ability to multi-select notes? When I long press a note it even brings up a screen that looks like any other apps multiselect option would and the only lets me select one at a time. This is mind boggling. The menus and options are far too minimal compared to the desktop version. Please add amoled dark mode for app and loading screen.

Is a good app but still needs some functions like: dark mode (very necessary for this app), compatibility with fingerprint for protect notes, a better notification to create notes everywhere (instead of a badge because this type of functionality is very old) and the most import thing, make a better widget because right now the widget is just horrible

It just keeps getting better, at first it was not the best but it did the some great stuff like record lectures and input PowerPoint slide.🎇 So I liked it👍. I enjoy using this for nursing school 👩‍🏫and being able to open it on any of my devices🏫🏥📳💻🖥️. I hope they keep it up, I want the writing with a stylus pen part to improve because that is pretty much the only down fall. But it's getting there!! 😉

I love OneNote, in that I can create a file and there's all kinds of tools for me to use for whatever my purpose is. My original review was for the screwy uploading of pictures but now i have to add the keyboard. i hate that it doesnt catch misspelling, it doesnt give me the red line, it doesnt change anything that needs capitalized or punctuation; it just lets me make the mistake.

I have been looking for a practical replacement note taking app for one I had used for years (recent updates reduced its functionality considerably). Onenote is that app. It is versatile and robust with the ability to password protect files if necessary. I really appreciate its ease of use cross platform and cross OS. I have found many tutorials and documents online that have opened my eyes further to other benefits and features of this powerful application.

I really like this app's synchronization feature so you can keep on doing your deal wherever you are. But one more featute I'd like to see as the one who likes to learn languages is a possibility to hide a text and reveal it by clicking on it, that's all. Overall the app is quite good.

I love this app! I can keep all my lists, notes and planning in one spot. I have sections for home, family, work and myself. It's so easy to add pictures and links to the notes too. All it needs is a calendar/day planner feature and it would literally be the perfect app.

Lacks functionality, highly dependent on a desktop versions and old problems with sync of different sections, frequently ask me to go on a desktop version to merge some notes, can't decide in which order to show or add new notes, can't move sections between notebooks. No back up option. List can go on and on. Very limited app. Page conflict over page conflict. Sick of it

I will say, having read some of the other reviews that One Note must have come up considerable from where it may have been. I use a Windows 10 computer, an Android phone and an Apple tablet, and they all synchronized well. So I give it a 4 star or maybe higher, only because nothing is perfect, but I find this very good. CC

I use this application daily and probably the BEST NOTE on market. Great Job Microsoft and Google on bringing two of best programs ever made together and VERY FUNCTIONAL, BRILLIANT. Pretty awesome to use laptop to send text and email and when have cell phone it all shows on phone, best of both worlds coming together and must admit was seamlessly done, once again Brilliantly done and effectively done.

I've tried Evernote, Samsung Note and other note taking apps, but this one is my fave. It syncs perfectly with my desktop version and has great organization options. For what I use it for (taking different types of notes on different topics throughout the day) it has a straightforward UI. Furthermore, the desktop version is much more robust, and has many more features. The two versions complement each other well for my diverse note taking workflow.

Love the easy access, the ability to sync across platform. I would love to suggest a few improvements that could be considered 1. Ruler feature- easier to divide between notes section 2. Zoom Out Feature - It would be a great idea of you allow tablet users to be able to zoom out their note into a single page, it really annoys me when I had to scroll over my notes just because I cannot zoom out my notes from my tablet. 3. More highlighter colours - more colourful notes Hope you will consider it

Great for getting ideas and thoughts down on paper and it all auto sycs up with your desktop/laptop/tablet/phone so you can see your notes and make more notes on the go. The organisation you can put into this app means that you will never have to search for long to find that one note you wanted to look back on

Love the app when it works, but synchronization is finicky. My OneNote notebook sometimes syncs just fine, but sometimes it cannot sync with a message "we couldn't open this section" and I can find no other details available about the problem. When syncing does work, the updates are often delayed by quite a bit. With a little troubleshooting, I discovered these failures seem to occur with substandard network/wifi connectivity, but I don't have issues with other apps. Microsoft needs to make the sync ability in this app far more robust!

One of the most useful daily apps on my phone and laptop. The "send to" function from browsers and other apps make this my go to for business and personal organization, research, brainstorming and planning. So great that One Note makes it a breeze to share. And no, I don't work at Microsoft. 😉

I find the app to be laggy and glitchy. Worse than that though is the complete lack of features. I'm not sure why they made such a poor app, because I'm comparing the features to OneNote online or Onenote for Mac and it's very frustrating to not have those features available for this version.

performance is terrible on galaxy tab s6. ink shifts when you lift the pen off the screen and the latency is terrible compared to even my galaxy note 8 and the ipad version is so much better it's not even worth comparing. there are also much less options in the android version compared to the iOS version. microsoft hasnt optimized this app for android tablets at all while the performance in samsung's own note apps or other apps like LectureNotes is very good, maybe barely behind the ipad.

Love the ease of use. I use it for grill recipes, shopping lists, reminders and general notes/documents across 3 different devices. On my phone, it's with me everywhere so the convenience is tremendous. On my laptop I can do complex editing, cleanup and formatting. The ability to immediately change between various list formats including checklists is special. I've used OneNote for years now after giving up on everything else.

Garbage, when I'm writing with the s pen, it makes the ink jump up for some dumb reason. Very limited functionality compared to desktop version. Seems like they don't even care. Switched to squid, it's way better and I have the option to have regular sized paper. Infinite paper is overrated, if I try to save as pdf it cuts off sections of my notes.

This app has virtually not changed for the past few YEARS... Is anyone in MS even working on this app anymore???!!! Comparing the experience across Windows 10 app, iOS app store and Android, this has to be the worst of the 3 unfortunately. I still rate OneNote better than any other note taking app but the Android version needs a lot more work. For starters, can you please add the ruler feature and ability to add more pens and pencil?

Lacking in some much needed features, the main one being a straight line tool along with being able to change this to a dotted line. I would like to see an x-, y- axis tool and common symbols ie Greek alphabet. A graph paper background would be useful. I have to swap to different apps to be able to do these things when onenote should all ready have these features and more.

Fairly good overall - I love onenote on PC and I downloaded this app to work on a shared notebook on my phone. I'm pleased that it seems to work well on android. The only problem so far is that i don't seem to be able to change the font type/colour/size etc. This would be really helpful when working on a shared notebook to distinguish between authors.

Good app, synchronization is fast. But it is very bad optimized for older phones. On 3 year old Huawei P9 is practically unusable, takes 30+ seconds to open the app. Now on new P30 pro it also takes a lot of time to open a note pinned to start screen. So still some work to be done here.

The app does not preserve the formating of notes created on a PC. The app adds and removes spaces and adds or removes lines on sticky notes. Many simple notes are not readable. For intance, it adds new lines anytime it encounters the quotation mark. Why is it so hard to preserve and synchronize plain text notes? Why are developers so removed from the user experience and basic understanding of human interactions with software? Why is Microsoft not responding to support issues or suggestions?

I use it across devises to make notes on textbooks, write a book, make lecture notes and ministry notes. It is my goto note app, and the ability to draw etc and add pictures along the way, truly great. The ONE thing I wish could be changed, but programming wise i dont imagine how it could work, would be if the highlighter/drawn bits of the note, would almost merge with the text, so that if you backspace or delete a section on one section of the note, it doesnt change where you drew👍

I have been using this app for years. I typed out some very important documents so I'll be able to reference them at a moments notice. Suddenly, the notebook I had saved had disappeared. All of my other useless notes are there but the most important one is gone and I can't seem to recover it.

It's really good for taking notes etc. But the notes are only on my ipad and I don't have them on my phone, it doesn't synchronize even though I logged in with the same account on both devices. And a disadvantage is also that I can't insert arrows etc. and tables.

The app is very primitive, and doesn't look like Microsoft at all !! Ok, that's over statement, but It lacks for many features other devlopers who's are smaller than Microsoft by light years, and have done better, The good thing about it, it synchronizes with all other platforms, so you can read or continue your work elsewhere, I give it 1star for the synchronizing feature And 1 more for the sections feature It's great thing only if Microsoft paid real attention to it.

It's useful for keeping texts synced between devices, but you have to wait a few seconds between the last change and leaving the app or it won't sync the changes which is annoying. If you don't sync the changes (e.g. no mobile network) and someone starts editing on another device, it's a huge pain to resync everything by hand. It also slows the phone down if you have notebooks with a lot of material open, and takes up a lot of memory on the Internal Memory as can't be moved to SD card.

I've used this for my three board exams and one post head course and It helped a lot in documenting my lectures. This is my 2nd post grad course and I still rely on this app. I hope the android version has the same functions similar to the windows. Nevertheless, great job Microsoft for making my life easy.

so far pretty good... nothing to complain! ...but I don't trust it completely yet. - a while ago, there were some serious synch issues (cntd w. pen strokes) that resulted in frequent data loss... hadn't it been so, I was happy with the features, but buggy synch>erase is always a knockout.. I'm causiously giving onenote a second chance

Great app. I like that it updates immediately and access my notes from my laptop when needed. Only annoying thing is when you turn on the app it brings you immediately to tour Recent Pages instead of the Notebooks window. There doesn't appear to be a setting to change that.

The app is okay for the basic feature but compared to their word it's not good at least they can provide feature to edit text size and fonts and put a table if possible and we can't even change the highlights colour . Please put in some more features and the dark mode is still not available on all devices.

I am a huge notetaker and this has been an amazing tool for me. I can stay organized with extreme ease. It has been invaluable for me with my online courses! I love how it formats the things copy and paste from online and how its like using an actual notebook but 100x better.

Needs same windows features. It's terrible that you have all this windows partnership but you have zero of the options on this app that windows or even ios does. No dark mode. No allowing notes/notebooks to be viewable while writing in a document. Why partner up if you are going to be treated like a side chick?

Often the last word will be automatically pasted in the middle of my typing, and I can't find a solution. Also impossible to hide subpages on the app. Settings menu needs to have more options and customizability. This isn't Apple.

Please read this if you have PASSWORD PROBLEMS! When you create an account in OneNote and create a new password that new password becomes your password for all other Microsoft apps!!! Wish they had just told me-would have prevented a circular loop of changing passwords. Anyway having found the problem the app is now 5 stars without any doubt. Kevin

Synchronisation doesn't work. I had some notes that I changed its name 2 years ago and it still hasn't been changed. Synchro between PC and Android mobile phone works terribly. Finally useless for me. Uninstall and get back to Google Keep. November 2019 - tried again. Still completely useless. Synchronisation doesn't work.

For personal and professional usages, I love the sync between devices. I can start a note, song, letter, invoice, from one and pick it up on another device. It keeps everything even if I forget to save or send. Easy memos and note taking can share , save or edit. So far so great!

Absolutely love this app. I've used it for work, for home, for education and to plan a novel. It's all I need to stay organised in every area of my life. Get it people, then learn how to use it properly; lots of YouTube's out there.

The App is doing what I need. I write thoughts that momentarily come to my head to ,later write in my 'Book for sayings of note'. Also, I write short poems - it's really handy for that, as lines thought up can be forgotten in an instance. Yes.... I give it a 5!

I really really like this app but it always struggles to save my notes!! There's always "conflicting changes" even when I always have good wifi/data.. if I'm using it from a computer then I constantly have to refresh it and hope it will save all my edits.

UPDATE: it's worse. Unreliable syncing makes this a very risky app. New note from widget will create a new note but actually opens the previous note. Widget needs a search button to quickly search. Syncing fails at least bi-weekly so there's possibility of losing notes. Yeah it's getting worse with the above issues

I like it very much, I write notes for daily use and it's also good for long text if you're looking for something to write like a diary. And plus, you can open then in any device opening your Microsoft account.

Keeps saying its conflicting notes. Puts deleted items back on the pages, when you go back to them . Looking at useing new app. Shame as its easy to set up and use, just very annoying. Luckily I don't live and die by my phone!

Very useful app for taking notes . You just have to write the notes , and there is no need to save it because it automatically saves your notes and synchronises it with your outlook account and you can view your notes on any device.

Quick and easy way to take notes and reminders, I have been using it for several months now and it is a great app to use on my phone, laptop and computer, because they are all linked I can access and edit my notes on any of these devices.

I enjoy using onenote. I find it easy to navigate, easy to make your notes. Creation of pages is smooth and easy. Amongst other functions it's a really good app by Microsoft. One of their better ones I'd say.

I've tried so many different online/ digital planners, and this one is in my top 3. I use OneNote to keep me organized at work, and so far, it's helped me a lot! I definitely recommend at least trying OneNote.

Excellent app for notes. It even syncs the note on the cloud by itself so you don't have to save it everytime after you write notes. It even saves them offline automatically if you don't have an internet connection. Great app

Wish it had option to choose page size, it would make this app alot more student friendly. In it's current option when I create PDFs to submit my work it cuts them off!:(. So I use another app. Also better options for pens and colors... hopefully someone at Microsoft reads this, they can make this a 5star app in 1week or less!

You can sync. Easy to use. Unlimited input methods. Cloud storaged - this is a very big benefit. You will only realise when your phone, holding all your "secret" data, is suddenly going to die. So just enjoy!

ONE NOTE keeps my research projects and papers organized like no other organizational product I tried to use. Easy to add new sections, new pages. Easy to start a new book. Better yet, saved papers last night on my desktop, I was able to access on my cell.

Please add a option where you can put a lock on the different Notebooks. I use one of the notebooks as a real notebook to make journal entries and they're not entries I want other people reading. I left a very long letter in the feedback option a few months ago and still have not seen any pw or keycode option.

Really cool app, but can't really use it efficiently on my Xiaomi phone as I'm unable to share anything to the app. Getting the message to open onenote and set it up for sharing.. Numerous others with Xiaomi phones with similar stories found online. Please fix with Xiaomi

Happy with it, does the job I need it to do. Little bit of a learning curve re setting up/naming folders (could use some icon redesign IMO) , but I like its flexibility and ultimate ease of use. Syncs fine. Good Evernote alternative.

Needs more work. Love taking notes for school but there is only limited colors for pens and highlighters. When writing with stylus pen, pixels shift space and it gets annoying. Please fix! Windows version is great!!!!

The experience is completely barebones. It can't even convert from handwriting. It lacks useful tools like a set of predefined forms to create flowcharts. Dark mode is completely missing. An there are almost no settings.

Lighter to carry around than a stack of paper notebooks, and a lot harder to lose. I like to take notes in class on my Surface, or on my phone at work. Synchronization between devices has seriously improved my workflow.

Use every day. My food shopping is the most frequent being used and its great that it syncs with my laptop. I would like to be able to change colour of text using app but cannot , however I can highlight text.

This new updated app appears to have lost most of its functionality compared to the 2016 version. I'm having a hard time using the math functions that were available in the prior version and I'm already shopping for another note taking APP. I wonder if Microsoft polled its users before making this change?

Love, love, love. Synchronization between PC and mobile device is great for shopping, to do lists, medical/healthcare/veterinary data--prescriptions, immunizations, labs. I use this frequently!

Excellent app overall. My issue is that when I make a shortcut to a notebook on my home screen, it will sometimes load the notebook as blank until I try to edit this. Will give 5 stars if this issue is resolved

Use one note to organize tasks on a day to day basis. Allows easy tracking of to do/ complete tasks. If your familiar with Word, very easy to get into as exit functions and layout v. Similar. Accessible from all devices and syncs reliably.

This is the best note taking app I have ever used. Using both keyboard mic and type. It can copy documents from other sources and make a complete document on a different sheet. Great

How do I give this zero stars...? Got a new phone and couldn't log back in. Microsoft support is basically non existent. Multiple attempts to verify myself all failed. I lost a lot of important information. I suggest you use Google keep instead, their customer support actually helps.

Works well except text selection function using a Samsung stylus. You cannot use the stylus to change your text selection, you have to use your finger and on a small screen it is very difficult. The is a bad usability oversight.

I love the simplicity and ease of use. It is fairly versatile and the auto save is great. I have used some other note apps and found them either clunky or annoying if the app shuts prematurely.

Great app. Just recently started using it to collect my notes for a D&D campaign, considering incorporating it at work too since it works so damn well. No complaints.

solid experience, however, lacking in obvious features such as the ability to export handwritten notes and share them, optionaI handwriting recognition, palm rejection ( pen mode) and dark theme as on PC.

I use it all the time and I like it a lot, it is reliable to synchronise across devices and noteteking is really flexible and easy. maybe I would like a 3rd level subfolders.

Love the utility of OneNote so much. Syncs perfectly across all my devices and so easy to view and change between multiple notebooks at once and so much flexibility in the layout. Definitely soothing to my OCD. Replacing Word for me across the board.

Extraordinary app. Best and user friendly. It is easy to record, write, register anything and everything. It is a must to have app for everyone.

I am having an issue with the text format, each line is carrying only three to four words. Is there any thing in the options that can fix this issue. Best wishes.

It's pretty good but if your using a tablet then it doesn't work as good at least for me. But if your using a laptop it probably works better. But it still works pretty good on the tablet.

Only complaint is that their are four OneNote apps, Android, iOS, Windows Store, and Office. The office version overwrote my Quick Notes, I recovered my notes. I started using the iOS version and I lost 2 years worth of useful notes, hopefully I can still recover them

I love it! I keep separate notes for my thoughts, phrases I hear, memories, & shopping. There's no limit to how many lists you can create.
