Description
Namma Samudaya (Kannada: Our Community) is an app designed to collect community level data and a platform to integrate all community processes with health centre and the City Programme Management Unit (CPMU), National Urban Health Mission (NUHM), Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP). It is to ease report generation & services planning.
The core vision of National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) is to serve the vulnerable population of the Urban areas which include Urban poor and people with social, occupational, environment and health related vulnerability. The basis of vulnerability assessment has been described in the “Guidelines and Tools for Vulnerability Mapping & Assessment for Urban Health, 2017” published by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India(https://nhm.gov.in/images/pdf/NUHM/Guidelines_and_tools_for_vulnerability_mapping.pdf)
To accomplish the same and enable easy data collection and compilation, Namma Samudaya app was developed in association with City Programme Management Unit (CPMU), National Urban Health Mission (NUHM), Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and the Department of Community Medicine, Bangalore Medical College & Research Institute, Bengaluru, Karnataka.
This would also serve as a platform for integration of community and health centre processes and thus enable smooth service delivery.
