Reviews From google play store

Not what I'm looking for. This app seems to only have walking, running, cycling and driving as activities. I thought might be to create my own tiles when I downloaded it, but I am not seeing a way to do that. I am trying to find an app that let me log all my activities: yoga, pilates, weight machines, etc... it's unfortunate, I like the streamlined UI. Uninstalling.

10 Nov 2019. Why have you removed all app usage now? 1*. 20 May 2019 After latest update, 9 of the 18 activities missing from dashboard. 28 Nov 2018 Even with the Sony SmartBand, data is not accurate. Sitting relaxing shows as sleep. Additional sleep can only be added manually if no sleep has been detected at all that day. For an app that records time spent on comms apps, it's unbelievable that time spent on phone calls is not recorded! BP does not record at all. It's a bit of fun though.

The app worked okay for like 1 month or so then it stopped recording my biking, walking, sleep, etc. Issue is I can't add these things manually except for the sleep pattern. No idea if the app is problematic or Sony servers, I even left location on all the time just to make sure things are working well and still no joy. Xperia z5c with 7.1.1.

Not accurate at all. I'll go out on the bike between 1 - 2 hours. sometimes it records accurately. Other times it shows my bike ride then clears it and records as steps. The other day for example i was out for 1 hour 15, it showed it, then within 10 seconds wiped it and recorded it as about 3500 steps I do around 70000 steps an hour. today I did a 17 mile cycle in 1 hour 15. It shows I've cycled 3.5 miles. at times I'll walk or cycle and it'll show I've driven.

App usage logging shouldn't have been removed (it was useful for knowing when you actually were asleep, or tinkering with your smartphone while in bed). Lifelog should be updated with these features: Google Fit sync, blood pressure/oxygen, fatigue levels and REM sleep. It already has HRV (Heart Rate Variability), which measures your stress and recovery, and HRV is great stuff, but all newer smartbands have blood pressure/oxygen, and Lifelog should too. Also cronometer integration would be cool.

This app simply doesn't work anymore. The first week I used it, it detected my walking, my transport and my sleep fairly well, and after a week it suddenly just stopped detecting any movements, and I have no idea why. I like the user experience, but I wish it worked.

A lot of old functions were removed. It used to log app activity and show how much time you've spent on social media, entertainment, mobile games, reading, etc. This app was like a 2-in-1 combination of Google Fit and Google's new Digital Wellbeing but now it's been stripped down. ☹️

It was good but one day it stopped showing the use of the phone and now it doesn't make any difference with other apps for this purpose. Plus, it keeps making some notifications sound every hour, I don't know for what reason, and I already tried to uninstall it, delete data and cache..

Changed my stars because previously you had much more info. Like when you spend time on the phone, gaming and apps. Also now, despite I do more than 10k steps a day it says I didn't walked even 1. I wanted the the Sony band and all but it would be useless if it doesn't count anymore your activity.

monthly average for sleep is incorrect fir some of the months. The issue most probably comes in the wrong calculation of last day of previous month and the first of current month. Wrote several email to CS to fix it. no response. will re-rate app when it is fixed. Thank you!

Not accurate - does not record sleep properly and won't let me update to proper time I got up. It under records steps - went for a 20 minute walk and it recorded 20 steps. When I used the wheelbarrow in the garden it said I was driving for 10 minutes. Stupid app that does not work and records nothing properly!

Don't want to give one star also. I have been running from last 20 minutes and it didn't even count the steps. It shows zero even i have activated and location on.

This app does not count my steps when i walk ... Nor it counts walking time, running time, travel time. I keep a record of my sleep on Lifelog but when i close it then reopen it... The record is automatically deleted. Fix this app or else this app can't be used.

I have keep logging out and in again to get it to consistently record information. Shame as have used it for 2 or 3 years, but it's no longer reliable

Is a good app, sometimes it takes time for the steps to show which is a bummer but not a big deal. Sometimes it doesn't count steps as it Thinks yourr driving or cycling but all in all, a good app.

Actually nil stars. Been using this app for 4+ years but latest update seems to have trashed it. I walked 5+ hours yesterday and it recorded 15 steps per hour for each of 24 hours. Also drove 6 hours earlier in week and nothing recorded. Uninsulated.

For me, this was a 5-star App before the most recent update. Now, without the tracking of apps usages, I'm not sure why I should keep using it. My 1 star is for still having the Sleeping widget, and the other star is for the Transport widget. The last star I give is the hope that the removal of previous widgets would come back. I really like Sony products, but you've continued to remove things, like TrackID and Compact phones, is really making me think twice if I should continue to support you.

Used to love this app when I had an X Compact as it was so accurate. I've upgraded to a L3 and now it has stopped recording everything. If I uninstall/reinstall, steps & walking work for a while then they stop again & I have to go through the whole process again. Transport seems to work when it feels like it. Hope Sony can sort this as I really liked the app on my previous phone and can only assume that the app is not completely compatible with this phone

Nice and useful. I've had issues however with the app. Sometimes it sees my movement as cycling or driving whereas I'm just walking. And there's a little trouble with the sleep logging every time.

Not able to use heart rate monitor ever since i downloaded this app. My phone is equipped with the fingerprint scanner but the app doesn't have instructions on how to measure your blood pressure or heart rate.

I really love this app. one of the best fitness app I can find from the play store. but I there are some missing features like sync to the Google health app. I use this app almost few years. but this data cannot sync with the Google. hope Sony will add that feature. export to Google and import data from the Google. please add app usage info again. I really miss that feature.

When I initially gave it 4 stars it was more than one of those fitness apps. It tracked how long you were on the internet, read in reading apps, and just generally tracked other apps. That's what I liked the best. I already have a step/sleep app. I don't need a less detailed one. I need my app tracker back.

(I found that it failed to record times I spent on gaming. It usually says 1 min.) Literally what I want. I love that it logs the time I spent on gaming nd chatting, so I can see it solid that I game too much. Would be gret if we can add some more manual logs. Creating activities and add by ourselves the time used, for example.

BINGO!!! This app was the HIDDEN CULPRIT!! I did a warranty exchange because of this app. Little did I know this was the app causing my phone to constantly chime. At first I couldn't figure out why it was even chiming in the first place. After a couple months, I found it had something to do with the Wi-Fi connection. When Wi-Fi dropped or reconnected, it chimed. today I realized that this app , one of my favorite apps, was my most hated app these past few months. SONY! FIX THIS ISSUE NOW!

Largely ok but with a few major wrinkles. Sleep detection is very inaccurate, to the point where it registers 2 start & finish times and ADDS THEM TOGETHER! So you can end up with 14 hours sleep logged between 11 pm & 6 am! But it can be edited, except that it may keep the record you selected to delete and delete the record you wanted to keep. Once edited, it cant then be edited again, it becomes locked. No zoom on any vertical scale, no fine graduations either. Horizontal scskes behave better

Generally good but twice it did not log a whole,s morning walk !! This was once last week on Friday the 13th. and with no way i know of correcting it , it throws out all my history for the month , year etc

Basic but lacking options. People do more types of exercise besides jogging. Too limited. You can't input data. Noone is cheating or anything and i go swimming! On stamina mode it is useless as the phone Sync with the watch and instead of uploading the watch data, it does the other way around. The watch vs the app don't agree on step count ect.

Works fine on tablet pc as long as you are willing to WAIT for data to transfer from wristband , i have had a few lockups requiring a reset to get data flowing again, perhaps problems are due to memory use?

I've been using lifelong since 2015 and it helped me a lot to see how much time I spent on each app. It allowed me to realise the limit between addiction and plain app loving. Please bring back app usage data or at least explain why it's been removed, it was one of the app's greatest features! Really disappointed with the update, I really want to root for sony but they're making it harder and harder to do so... Uninstalled for the first time ever.

Fine when it works. Check on how many steps I have done the previous day (and despite having walked a mile or two) find I have been sitting down most of the day!! Now it seems to no longer work - the only thing I have now done for several days now, is sleep!!!! I have just walked about 2.5 miles but 0 feet according to Lifelog.

After three and a half days, it stopped recording everything aside from sleep. The app is pretty good and straightforward but had to uninstall as it wasn't working anymore.

Used this app with my sony activity band, went for a 7 mile run using it while also carrying my phone and it logged I walked for 2 hours rather than running for 1 hour 30. It didn't log my sleep after wearing it all night either

Before upgrading to my Xperia XZ2, Lifelog worked great and was very accurate on my Xperia XZ, Android, 8.0. As long as you don't upgrade to Android Pie, 9.0, Lifelog will work very well. Now that I'm on my Xperia XZ2 ,Android 9.0, steps, sleep, biking doesn't record at all now. Looking for new fitness app now.

Multiple times did not count all the steps during the day.Not sure if it's the network/GPS service or the app. Also cannot save places I am walking every day which would be much easier to keep a track of the activity. Overall it's OK app for those who want a little picture of their activity.

Doesn't log ANY activities but sleep (when phone is on charge) I tried everything to record my daily cycling, morning jog, steps when working, hikes etc. Can't make it work no matter what . Once it told me i took 6000 some steps a week! My pacer counted over 20000 a day! This app is a joke, no proper support either. I was always a Sony person ,but with the latest sony products I've purchased deeply disappointed.

Previous usage tracking functionalities removed and it is not possible to record any other sport than running or cycling!

The app itself is not bad per se... I keep my phone in my pocket pretty well all day long and I wear a smart watch. My smart watch pedometer has my steps at 2148 for the day so far where Lifelog has my steps at 269 for the day. It accurately showed when I was driving in the car but didn't record all of my steps at my stops. Great concept; would love to use it efficiently and accurately.

Since my last review in 2018, this App has greatly improved. Even comparing it to other available Apps with similar features it was most stable and satisfying, therefore remained my preferred App, and only one installed. Thank you. Date: 17 10.2019.

I love using this app especially because I'm pregnant, a wearable gear would be beneficial on my part to record my heart rate and the other steps I keep missing as I can't carry my phone everywhere all the time.

Step count and sleep detection is accurate Can be more better by connecting it to map so that it can confirm that someone is traveling on road or railway or airway. Lesser Battery consumption than previous i installed. Great work

Great app, always active to keep track of all activities, including my sleep patterns.

Not accurate,it used to be great but lately it's just not accurately at all. I could be working out, walking or what have you.... I don't think it's counting the steps or anything else correctly. Shame tho, I had to download other apps....

Good basic fitness tracker. Have used this app for years and is fairly consistent. Step counter is good as only works when you're walking

After using some days it stops recording steps and Kilometers i walk. So, again i have to reinstall the app to remove this issue. Please solve the bug.

App is great fun but at times it thinks I'm in a cat when I'm not .it had me as burning 500 calories when i hadn't done nothing but netflix and chill. Not sure how accurate this is but i like how it tries to keep a diary of your activities in a animated way .

Difficult to edit incorrectly detected activities, unable to input some activities twice in one day, unable to edit time spent on activity (press confirm to save changes and changes are not saved), if I'm bicycling it gets split into six different instances of driving and running etc.

Lifelog is not logging properly. I seriously try to keep my sleeping time on track but this is the second time it doesn't log the first day of the month. You should have better back-end developers who count that months can have 31 days as well. I'll reconsider the review stars whenever I see the fix.

I put my times in and the app changes it. Sometimes it allows me to correct it other times it just does its own thing..... My watch is not showing how many steps I do in a day. its stuck on 684..... I am too old to figure these things out.

This app is so bad not accurate how can two people with the same phone walked the same distance and step's walked are out by thousands and for example my wife walked ten thousand step's in three seconds but my wife is not super woman unless she is hiding her identity.

Removal of app logging feature (So Sony) makes this app less functional. They basically invented Screen Time before Apple and have managed (like so many other features in other apps) to squander their upper hand. I love going back and seeing my device usage from years ago. Sony is Sony's own worst enemy .

I used to really like this app tracking my dog walks without a second thought. Now it's totally inaccurate at mapping dog walks, distance or anything else. Using a different app and it tracks location perfectly so it's not a phone/gps issue but one withing the app itself

Lifelog had worked without issues for 4 years. Unfortunately it has stopped tracking data 3 times in the last month. I've uninstalled and reinstalled on all occasions and now it's stopped again. Not good !!?

The app was better before the update that removed usage logging, and please improve the step recognition, sometimes it goes crazy with the steps

Doesn't register my sleep, doesn't register when I'm on my bike, says am walking. Used to be OK but not anymore.

Don't always log in my steps, car or bicycle on the image screen also for the two latter in my info boxes but always does the steps.

It quits recording my activity for hours at a time indicating that it's trying to log on this app. HELP!! two years later it is still terrible. Maybe some day they'll fix it?

Suddenly it stopped counting steps and all the previous data is lost.

Was worth 4 stars until latest update that removed app tracking. I also find the movement tracking isn't very accurate as sometimes it does not recognise that I have been out on the bike or in the car since this new update.

this is an excellent app but does have a tendency to freeze some days which is frustrating if you set yourself a daily or weekly goal. otherwise when it works it would get a 5 star rating

Love the idea of this app but it is inconsistent. Did a 3.8km walk (my usual route) and it recorded it as 2.5km and shows me walking through people's private gardens and houses. I hope they can improve the accuracy.

Functions missing, ie: gaming activity music/entertainment, cycling where have they gone

Use to be a great app. Had stopped logging anything. No steps. No sleep. No walking time. Whats the point of an app thats suppose to track and log things and it doesnt even do that. Stopped friday 1030am and still not tracking.

Great app.. But it doesn't recognizes when you are running and walking... But overall good apppp.. ;-)

The step counter tracks my steps on my lock screen. However none of my stats are stored or available to review for tracking. Pretty useless. Definitely download a better one if this has pre installed on your phone.

It's not monitoring my heartbeat... It didnt record my sleep... And the step counter takes forever to update..... Not impressed sony!

Great for recording steps and sleep time. Recommended.

It's great most of the time. But every now and then, it stops tracking and it looks like I did nothing. For example, one day I walked 15 miles and my steps were at 450. Lifelong had just been updated and my phone had been rebooted and charged. Very frustrating. I also wish I could easily see steps transformed into miles. But for the most part, a very good app for fitness stuff.

I dont understand how this app. Works. It doesn't record my drives, jogging and walking. Im disappointed

Handy the automatic sleep detection! Because sometimes i fall asleep and it's handy to know at what time that was. I haven't found any app that tracks your sleep automatically, you always have to start it manually. Also the step count is very accurate. Helps to set a goal, so you can track it and work to it. Also handy that it tracks your time in a car, on a bicycle and on foot.

Pretty great app, I don't have a fitness tracker so it's good to see roughly how much I've walked or slept in a day and the trends. It's accurate enough, apart from when it thought I'd been cycling for 3 days straight! You can't add an activity if you didn't have your phone on you while you walked/ran, it just won't be measured. But you can amend it, only change the type from one to another or change the amount of time that you slept for.

worked very well for some time and then just stopped. that's all I can say. Doesn't work. Still true

Helps me keep statistics of my daily activities. Steps, distance walked, time riding a 🚙 car/bike🚲, time slept, calories burned, the list is long. But if this app would record distance travelled by car, that would be very helpful.

So far so good. Seems to efficiently identify various modes.

Great when it works walked for hour stopped just before midnight, didnt check till after midnight and it hadn't logged any steps. Just walked 1 mile no steps registered. Been walking for 1hr 20 and only registered 320 steps

This is really amazing! This app is like a dream app for me.I cannot believe such apps would ever be made. This tells us what we have done today, so we can get rid of mistakes and do better tomorrow. This is very helpful for healthy lifestyle.

I used to love and usw this app regularly, but it stopped working a couple weeks ago, not recording any data. Can't find a way to report a problem or refresh settings .

There's a need for manual edit. For example, if the smartband wrongly measures my sleep duration, I may need to manually fix it but I could not find any means for this purpose.

The pedometer ain't working that well but the app is good overall.

Since my Sony Smartwatch 3 updated and stopped counting my steps, this app has been perfect for me. Keeping track of steps, sleep, calories etc is fantastic. Even bought my other half a wristband so she can use the app to follow everything too. Highly recommended!!

initially loved it but it consistently tells me the wrong hours of sleep. There's no heart rate monitor active. And step counter is hit and miss. But actually I still like it to tell the time so not all bad I suppose

This is not accurate especially when we walk. Walking steps, I feel are taken at a higher side.

Really good. Can't add to the dashboard which is disappointment.

I've never been able to use the heart ♥ rate tile. it doesn't seem to work for me. Recently it's not accurately been recording my running 🏃 distance

useless, there are only 9 tiles left since Sony have removed the old features such as frequently using app, daily activities, time spend in your phone, camera,... My band and Lifelog are now limited function. So dissapointed!

I like this app because it monitors everything you do automatically and gives you the cold, hard facts like a hungover in-law. So you think you are spending your day mostly working, exercising and just occasionally browsing but you check your stats here and see that there's room for improvement. I would like to see goal-setting, data integration with Google Fit, and maybe even the ability to set app time limits. But no complaints! This app is on-track and I haven't found a single bug.

I used to use this app all the time for years with Sony's Xperia devices. But it's as buggy as hell with my Huawei P20 Pro in full screen mode. The display goes blank as does the settings screen. At least it still syncs with Google Fit to keep things going I suppose. But what's the point? If it's not compatible with a device it should say so to prevent you from downloading it and wasting your time and energy.

It doesn't track you well, doesn't count the step correctly, sometimes doesn't understand the difference between running & walking, when ever in night you touch your phone during the time you put as routine sleeping time it would think as you woke up. But you can edit it. But it is nice & useful app, specially for masseuring the time that you spend on network or sleeping. Also the design of the app is really good!

It's not working on Sony smartwatch 3! I'm so disappointed! This is what the webpage says :Leave your phone behind Fill your SmartWatch 3 with music, then head out for a run. The two-day battery* life lets you track activities and movements without worrying about charging. And when you get home, sync with a fitness app, like Lifelog. Nope! It's not working !

It's not logging my activity. Had been working well but nothing registered for the last 2 days.

Many features is to be added with the log and also some features is not working properly..

I'm surprised that so many users find LifeLog disappointing. The stats and tracking are incredibly accurate for me (Using Sony Xperia Premium). I haven't found any imperfections that are worth mentioning. This app has positively encouraged me physically and mentally very well. I am considering the Sony Smartband now too. One thing I'd like to request would be to input my reading hours in the Books stats. If there could be a way that it could log me sitting there reading it would achieve a 6 star rating!

After a week it doesnt record anything. I have to uninstall and install to get it to work again.

Nice one with a friendly layout. Not appreciated in the beginning it actually comes handy when you finally get used to have your activity record accessible anytime you need it. I appreciate the time accuracy which I use to track my time spent at work in order to report it. Makes lots of mistakes regarding the type of activity, but it's not that important to me. A bad thing is that every 2-3 months it suddenly stops counting steps and taking my location - clearing app data helps. PLEASE FIX THIS

The sleep tracking is woeful, almost taunting me about the sleep that I didn't get. Lying there staring at the ceiling is not quality rest. At times I've had to correct the driving to walking, cudos to Stan Lee there, but it is some of the smartest software out there. The accessories are some of the coolest things, like talking into your wrist band and e-ink that I can see in the daylight is like being a space cadet but for real. It's good, it can be better, and it could be amazing. It's a Sony.

I love this app - i like the layout and the idea of tracking not only physical activity bit also time spent messaging, driving etc. that's really cool. What I miss here though is syncing with external devices, such as smart bands and smart watches from other brands! especially when Sony does not seem to be about to drop another model of smartwear. That would make the app perfect!

This app is much more accurate than few others that I've tried and you can match it by looking if your day is correctly portrait in it's time line of the day .

very helpful and onfor.ative, permits not cheating yourself by adding the missing information such as weight and sleep. suggests targetsand can have targets set. personal acheivement awards too.

Suddenly all my data got removed after the update. Time to find an alternative.

When I'm running doesn't give accurate distance and time.

Very helpful but could do with something for those like me who are semi disabled and because our walking capacity is small and slow it doesn't always pick up movement in the house. I've also had a few days where it hasn't registered the walking I'm doing which means I have no idea how much I have done and having set myself a target I can't make sure I'm doing enough or if I'm doing too much .
