    App does not work, when I first brought it I had trouble with finding the light blub I had to do numerous scans before it found it, so just used it as a normal light blub and now the app won't even work. Wouldn't buy another one of these lightblubs and wouldn't bother downloading the app as it only takes storage room and doesn't work!!!!!!!!

    The use an older version of Android to update the bulbs firmware so your new current Android phone will see it. Doesn't work! And if there is a third-party app that will control the Veho lights Why didn't you list it when you mentioned it? Just more smoke and no action towards fixing your software! If there is someone out there that can produce a generic app to control Veho and other brands; you could make a small fortune. These clowns have had over 6 months and they obviously cant!

    Broken App Worked in early 2019 but end of 2019 to current, it does not work. No support at all from developers. Have spent the money on their lights but now cannot control them. What a scam. Are any one of the developers going to respond to any of these negative reviews to fix your darn app. People spend money to buy these lights/accessories. Crooks

    Bought the bulb and downloaded the app late 2018 and worked fine, but no longer does. App doesn't even open. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing. Glad I hadn't spent any money since, because by the looks of things a lot of people are having similar problems and the developers aren't helping at all. It's a big sad that they no longer care about their work or business.

    application tuns on toothblue radio without permission. when using the application if the bluetooth is tuned off . the application promots to turn on bluetooth . but it turnsvthe radio on with out permission . it shouldnt be able to do so without confirmation from the user. the application also accesses location information altho its not asked for permission to do so. light in of the above i belive this falls in the catagory of malware or spyware or worse.

    I discovered the app still works on iPhone but not android. Unfortunately I have an android app worked fine for over a year and now it just does not work anymore I in uninstalled it and reinstalled it and cleared my cache but it will not work still I've reached out to customer service and have heard nothing back. Now reading other reviews and it's happening to everyone. Veho Kasa please reboot your servers!! If the problem persists than look to see what was recently installed and uninstall it.

    App does not work nor start, terrible experience, used to work fine and for about 3 months nothing. Have tried the app on multiple devices. This company clearly makes you buy their hardware and then run with your money with no support. Awful and full slating review on my YouTube channel.

    App is trashed and their dev team is extremely slow to fix any major issues with the app. You would think getting the app for your lightbulbs to actually open would be an all hands on deck situation, but they have shown they do not care. Will not buy another product of theirs. Only solution they have involves using an old phone as if the typical consumer is going to use that work around. Everyone should rate their kasa smart app as well to warn others of what they do.

    The app no longer opens on my Android device - Samsung Galaxy S9 - essentially making the light bulbs in my living room useless. Without the app I can't control the lights at all. Thankfully I had the standard timers setup before the latest Android update, but I can no longer use the moods. This is very disappointing for bulbs that are so expensive. When will this app be updated?

    Is ANYONE going to freaking answer me or anyother person having issues. Worked perfect the first day. i bought another and theh both worked fine. The next day I open the app amd it says scanning then no device found. really? please fix. Update, NOW it won't even open so I'm out of over $100 in lights. So pissed right now!!!! They get ZERO stars, not one person tried to reach out to me.

    As much as they charge for these I figured they were among the best. I was wrong. It's hard to believe they can't or won't get this app fixed after the Android update when so many people are affected. I have other lights that I paid less than $20 for. They work fine. Even if they finally get it fixed, no more Veho Kasa for me.

    App is broken for android. It will not open. After ignoring multiple queries I sent them about this issue, I was able to trick them into talking to me by pretending I didn't know how to update a bulb. They claim to be working on a fix, but it's been broken for months. It shouldn't take this long. Completely unacceptable.

I have submitted dozens of feedback reports over the last year. You guys seem detached from the actual problem of your product.

    I've had this bulb and app for a few years now and I recently updated my phone and can no longer access the app... I now have light bulb that will not turn off because I cannot get on the app! Not happy at all! Veho please update your app so it works on android phones as this really isn't good!

    Same as others, just stopped working. Scans and finds nothing even though my bluetooth app. "sees" the bulb. My phone is using Android 8.1.0. Bulbs will not upgrade, either. Bad time to lose this option with this virus going around. Means more touching of light switches.

    Hello Kasa, don't pretend you don't understand. App doesn't work/open. I have a bulb on 24/7 and I'm not able to adjust it. When are you fixing the issue/app? Untill then I give you 0(zero) stars and another week until I post it allover internet. Looking forward to your answer. Regards

    Same as the majority of other reviews in here, I have upgraded my phone, tried to reinstall the app and upon doing so have noticed that this app is completely unusable. Wont open, full stop rendering the lights I had fitted years ago now useless.

    This sucks. Bulb and app used to work, now app crashes the second it's open. Bulb works, one colour, on and off just like a (hell of a lot) cheaper bulb. What a waste. Using an E26 bulb.

    03/01/2020: Keeps Crashing everytime i try and run the app on a chromebook or on my pixel 4. UPDATE 06/01/2020: Now I have had to resort to removing the bulbs, as the developers don't seem to be in any rush to answer me. Judging on some of the answers they have left other consumers with below it's a joke. DO NOT BUY THESE BULBS. GO BACK TO THE STORE AND GET YOUR MONEY BACK!

    UPDATE: I am not able to run the app since new android 10 was installed one day ago. Reinstallation does not help. I am using this product almost a year now. The app is slow, not very user friedly or intuitive. Setting the schedule was horrible and it took me an hour. Fading used to work only if set to few minutes and now it suddenly stop to respond and fade is not possible to set at all. It is pity that the app is that bad because the bulb is quite nice

    My app worked for a while however I upgraded my phone to the Oneplus 7 Pro, and the app atill worked for about a month, but has now quit working since the newest update for the phone. When starting the app it says "App keeps stopping" and no matter what I do it seems to not work anymore. Rating 3 stars for its performance previously but until this is fixed it will stay that way.

    This app stopped working since I've changed my phone (now I'm using a Galaxy S10) and honestly I don't know why. I can't even open the app. My old phone has android 6.0 and this one has android 10 so neither of them has 9.0 .     The app won't even open on my Galaxy s10 plus. It's been months and they still have not fixed. You buy a newer phone for better performing apps and you get an app that only works with old phones!!!

    Veho....for the love of god....please stop telling everyone to update the bulbs from within the app as a fix while you come up with a long term solution. People can't open the app at no solution there. The bulbs arent the issue. The app is. You have to update it on your end. Had these bulbs for years all over my house and now i can't use any of them other than bright and white. Spend some of the money we pay for these pricey bulbs and update yourself.

    App doesn't work with Note 10. Recently upgraded my mobile device and now I'm left with nearly a dozen bulbs and led strips that I can no longer use. I just reinstalled today, 2/14/2020 based on seeing a reply from Veho saying they did an android update on 2/8/2020 but the app still doesn't work. I really don't have any other choice but to buy a different companies product and call it a loss with Veho.😒

    Stopped working left feedback weeks ago nothing done to sort it. Reall annoying after spending alot of money on there bulbs that I now cant use. Update I dug out an old phone and managed to connect to bulb updated firmware as advised still won't work. It's the app that is faulty it wont boot up when you click on the item. I will be contacting a consumer expert to see if I can get my money back for the bulbs that are now useless

    App won't allow time bar to set how strong the light comes on over time. App out of nowhere just zoomed in and wont zoom out even when I restart and even reinstalled the app. I was mediocre app at best. Some issue understanding poorly written instructions. So now it's fixed but now it says it needs my precise GPS location! It's a stupid light bulb it doesn't need a GPS location for Bluetooth to work. So I'm throwing out these garbage lights and buying some real ones.

    App wont open. Just crashes on startup. Makes bulbs useless. Veho says to update firmware of bulbs on an older phone (which I have done) but that doesnt solve the main problem. The app just crashes on startup on my new device. It only works on my old phone. Too bad since this was a great product before.

    Fantastic concept, superb range of lighting options. The only way this is let down is the accessibility of the app to switch moods, I feel a widget would accompany the app really well. This would cut out the faff of opening the app every time you turn the light on. I use the bulb in my bedroom and often use it right before sleeping, an option to change the default light setting to a different mood would be very beneficial.

    Wish id have read this before buying. Had a bulb a few years ago and it worked fine. But to say I now have to go rummage around in a Ghanaian phone graveyard to find my old, defunct mobile, just to get a Bluetooth lightbulb working is rediculous - yes, a Bluetooth lightbulb - Not wifi, not quantum teleportation, but bloody Bluetooth! £30 for a £3 bulb. Lovely. Thought I'd be kind and buy a British product - ironically it's stuck in the past, literally, & no one is taking responsibility fixing it

    I've been using this for a couple of years, I like it a lot, although you do need to invest some time on it if you've got several devices. I liked the schedule feature that can fade light up slowly to wake you up, but now the fader doesn't work in the latest update? Would love that fixed please!

    Right off the bat after opening the app it requests my location which I denied. It then says it wants it again and I declined. 3rd time it says it requires my location to use the Bluetooth setting...this is a load of bs..a lightbulb company does NOT NEED TO KNOW MY LOCATION for me to use their products. Fix this or I'll return your product and go with one of your many competitors.

    Is this really the solution you are giving to people who spent hundreds n more on your smart lighting. "Sorry that you are experiencing an issue with you Kasa lightbulbs. The difficulty has arisen from a hardware and software incompatibility, we have a workaround that should resolve this. To updated the firmware of your bulbs you will need to open the app on a device that uses an older operating system. update the firmware on all bulbs they will work" ..No update mentioned? That's disconcerting

    NEEDS FIXED I've never had a problem with this app for almost 2 years now. All of a sudden it will not open at all. It immediately pops up a.message saying KASA IS STOPPING. Now I can't connect to my smart lighting to turn bulbs on and off or anything please fix this ASAP. I use this daily.

    This app is just bad. For some reason it needs location to be on in order to connect to the bulb, which is very stupid, but what is worse is the fact that it doesn't even let you know it needs location, it just doesn't connect if it is not enabled, which really sucks.

    App doesn't work on Samsung S10. Worked on my old S5 but was still pretty clunky on that anyway. I suspect Veho are quick to cash in and jump on the "Smart" bandwagon, but don't actually have the tech savvy to produce a competent app. Looks like time to go TP-Link or another smart home manufacturer.

    App just stopped working dec 18 2019. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Still same issue. Says "Kasa keeps stopping". Dec 25th update......Tried what you suggested. Older S9 allowed firmware update and app runs fine. Still does not run on S10 which likely has operating system. Same error.

    Just got a new phone (one+ 7T Pro) app can't open anymore. Pretty useless. When the app was working on my previous phone (Galaxy 8+) the functionality was super limited. Pretty piss poor performance on both the app and the bulb. You can do a lot better guys.

    Why do I must have my Locaton TURNED ON, hence permitions allowed with the latest app and FW versions to get my bulbs properly recognized and connected? Is it the latest "bug fix" mentioned in the reviews? Are there any disclaimers or statements/explanations why is that neede? I though those are BLUETOOTH devices? Please answer, thank you!

    Why has there been no update to your description and system requirements since April 2019? You are aware everyone with android 10 has lost functionality of what are expensive lighting products. You are also still selling them and stating android 4+ and up compatible..... That is clearly false. I tried your short fix... Borrowed phone... App worked as did lights... Updating firmware makes no difference..... Your app doesn't work on android 10.... Firmware update pointless if still have A10!.

    Does not open on s10+ with Android 10. Update: just to be crystal clear: the app does not open at all on s10+ with Android 10 and crashes instantly. The light bulb has already the latest firmware (through an older S9 with Android 9).

    I brought this light bulb for one reason I'm in a wheelchair so I can't get out of bed to keep turning it on on and off it was working fine but now when I go to turn the light out it's not turning off I have tried resetting my phone deleting the app reinstalling this is a major issue please fix it fast

    The last time this app was updated was over 9 months ago, the app only works if you haven't recently used it on another device recently(and even when it works it takes a while to load), and my strand of lights has started changing colors at random😕 Given how long it's been since the latest app update, I can't help but wonder if that's because they've abandoned a product that wasn't ready for the public🤷‍♂️

    It works. That's it. Not happy about several things: the light doesn't save a default colour/state when you turn it on, the buttons to control the colour don't make sense (brightness is fine, the one which is supposed to control contrast resets my colour choice and seems to change colour temperature?). It takes forever to connect to the bulb too. This can be improved a lot. /Edit The app is broken. The resolution is broken. Icons are extremely big and can't do anything. Please fix it.

    I own 4 veho kasa bulbs and I'm unable to control them with my s10+ I don't have access to an android 9 device to try to update the firmware this is totally unacceptable your last update was almost a year ago. Telling people to use a different device is not a solution, fixing your app would be.

    It was fine until yesterday. The screen is now zoomed in and you can't access half of the buttons to work the app. Broken. Update. Fixed now but it was broken for a good few days which isn't good enough. Test your updates. Weird and invasive need to access your location. Will look to upgrade to a different product at some point.

    This is my new review of this app. Once again the app has ceased working. The app itself is full of unnecessary stuff all over the place. Navigating to the bulb colour settings is unnecessarily difficult, it should be the front page not the last page. The colour wheel is terrible. Sure theres a lot of colours on there but can you even tell the difference? No. As well as that changing the darkness of the colour doesn't work, it just makes it white again. A terrible app and a terrible product.

    I had a similar experience, where it wouldn't find the bulb, even though it worked before, I also had the permission turned on, I finally got it working by going into my phone's Bluetooth settings and attempting to pair it to the bulb, while it was doing that I reopened the app and it connected just fine.

    dowloaded it today, played with it earleir today, and now its not working all in the same day. when i open the app it needs to connect to the device. every time ive scanned it tonight it just says, warning can not connect to any devices. ill take suggestions. btw, your reviews would be alot more useful if u would instruct people publicly after their review, stop regurgitating the same copy and past information.

    The app was great when it worked; simple & functional and I absolutely love having a rainbow selection of colours and brightness at my fingertips, with the bonus of turning the light off in bed. Now, unfortunately as a Google Pixel 2 user, since the last update (Android 10 I believe) the app no longer works. I've made attempts to report it & emailed the developers but they clearly do not read their emails. I sincerely hope this issue is sorted soon so I can give this app the review it deserves.

    Neg: App takes ages to start (often sticks on 19% so need to restart app = bit of a bug). Turning on/off lights is a faff - dedicated remote would be better. Traditional light switch is genius by comparison, but users loose functionality. Ah well. Pos: Timer options useful for night light. Different colours/dimming option. Can give bulbs names to identify quickly. Best use - lights on timers. Energy saving. Worst use - every day turning light and on/off .

    Bulbs were working fine until the last update. After that I have been getting connection problems. I have since found out that you now need to have location switched on on your phone. WHY? These are bluetooth bulbs! So why do they need to know where they are located in the world? Not only is this an intrusion but also means I have to use more battery on my already struggling phone.

    Wont work with new Android update, really frustrating as I have a load of bulbs and really liked it.

    App won't open on Android 10. Attempted suggested fix of updating firmware in bulb with another device but firmware was latest version. Obviously a problem with app not being compatible with Android 10

    Updating the firmware from a android 9 or lower device didnt do anything at all. still same problem keeps crashing and won't open. please help all of the lights in my house use this app !

    Stopped working with android 10, now wont run so cant change colour or set a schedule, money down the drain! Think twice about buying products that need an app to work!

    After a slow load and connection i have to go through 3 screens before i can get at my light controls. This is very tedious. it would be great to have a home page that shows all my connected devices on the first screen. Has difficult times of not being able to connect but mostly its useful.

    I used to enjoy this app. It's very limited but does the job. After the last update, the app doesn't even open. So now I have a useless bulb and a useless app.

    Unless some workaround is implemented, I cannot use this app anymore. I cannot use the current version because of the location permission, and I've tried downloading older versions, but they are plagued with the "Zoom In" glitch and are also unusable. I have contacted both Kasa and Google to see if this issue can still be resolved.

    Used to work but now app won't open just says keeps on stopping. Have the latest firmware installed via an old phone. App is broken. Please get it fixed.

    I have just bought and installed one of your lightbulbs, everything works as should. I just find the app a bit clunky to navigate, a suggestion from me would be to have a control page as the default when you open the app to control the bulb instead of navigating through the app. Otherwise no issues and will likely buy more for around the house. :)
