FX File Explorer features a Material Design UI and new ways to transfer your files between devices and computers:

* SMBv2 support.
* New "FX Connect" transfers files from phone-to-phone with Wi-Fi Direct. Supports NFC to connect two phones by physically touching their backs together. (requires FX+)
* New "Web Access" enables transfer and management of files and media from your computer's web browser. You can drag-and-drop entire folders to your phone from your computer, or stream your phone's music playlists to your computer over Wi-Fi. (requires FX+)

FX is a file explorer built to make working with files and media on your phone or tablet as easy as it is on your computer:

* Productivity-oriented "Home Screen": Directly access your important folders, media, and cloud storage
* Multiple window support, with dual-view mode to see two windows at once
* "Usage View" mode shows the total size and content makeup of every folder, as you browse and manage files
* Support for most file archive formats

FX protects your privacy:

* No advertisements
* No tracking of user activity: FX does not ever "phone home"
* Built by NextApp, Inc., a US corporation founded in 2002; all proprietary code was developed in-house

The optional FX+ Add-On module enables more functionality:

* Text Editor (with undo/redo history, cut/paste, search, and pinch-to-zoom)
* Binary (Hex) Viewer
* Image Viewer
* Media Player and pop-up Audio Player
* Zip, Tar, GZip, Bzip2, 7zip archive creators and extractors
* RAR file extractor
* Shell Script Executor

Android 8 / 9 Location Permission Notice

* NOTE: Android 8.0+ unfortunately required us to add the "approximate location" permission, as it's now required for apps that support Wi-Fi direct (because Wi-Fi direct leaks this information). FX does not ever actually query your location, and this permission will only ever be asked for on Android 8.0 and later when using FX Connect. This requirement previously applied only to Android 9.0, but because FX now specifies full support for the latest Android API, Android 8.0 also requires this permission.

App ChangeLog

  • * Android 8+ Fixes for FX Connect: Android 8+ *REQUIRES* us to add location permissions to use Wi-Fi direct (apps can theoretically abuse Wi-Fi discovery to get your location). Location is never actually used by FX. You will NOT be asked to grant this permission except when using FX Connect on 8+.
  • * New Google Drive/OneDrive implementation: faster/fault-tolerant uploads, edit documents directly (req Google / Microsoft Office apps).
  • * Fixes for Dropbox and WebDAV/OwnCloud
  • * Minor UI updates

Not impressed with landscape splitview UI. Barely any room to work on either screen. Split view has to be set each time. 'Remember last settings' needed. App requires more clicks to get to where you need to go as there's no default opening window that could be customized. Since I purchased I will wait for update though for now I use another explorer.

  2. Christopher Williams-avatar

apk Best way to handle, organize & display photos, photo albums, videos, documents & their folders ... that I've ever seen or used. I even use it to organize my music (artists, albums & songs). With the Pro version, you can cut, copy & paste. And move around your devices using products like Dropbox. Fabulous!

  3. Google Account-avatar

Edit June 2020 Reducing 2 stars. For a good long time this app refuses to open media files with third party apps. Text editor needs work. No support for OTG ugh. Copy files is slow. It's no longer my must have. ------------ This has been my go to explorer for a donkey's age. When I used to root different roms, phone needed reset my absolute first go to app. A few things are a tiny bit funky, perhaps getting dated, but its a real winner. I'd had it so many years, I'd be lost without it.

  4. Sam Dixon-avatar

I would have been more inclined to use this app if the icon looked more polished. It has too much detail. A simple folder, etc would be enough. I don't know. Anyway, only had it for a day and I already love it. It has so much functionality and doesn't appear to have bugs or anything negative about it. Can connect to ftp Google cloud and has root access. Does everything was file explorer did and then some. Also is privately owned and allegedly pro-privacy orientated. A++ good design. Love it!

  5. Ryan Redd-avatar

Definitely one of the better functioning and looking file manager. Been using it for years and is reliable for everything I've needed it for. Started with the free version and moved on to the full and haven't regretted it since. Only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the time since it's been updated. Been a good while since the last. Hopefully it'll continue to be updated and supported cause there's nothing much that compairs.

  6. JD-avatar

One of the best file explorers for Android and I believe it's the most powerful file explorer, it even contains it's own BusyBox binaries. It has advanced features and it has a nice UI. Best thing is, it doesn't contain ads. So it's clean!

  7. craig bennett-avatar

Almost perfect. Certainly one of the better ones, I tried a few and bought the full version of this. No ads. Easy to use and navigate, I like the split screen feature. Reliably copies large files and directories off my network without dropping. I say almost perfect because it's lacking NFS support which I would like, but CIFS and ftp work flawlessly.

  8. Gene Loriot-avatar

This app is awesome! Does all you need to transfer files, see your phone's status in real time, and everything else. If you are a UNIX type, this tool opens Android so that it all makes sense and is useful. Fully featured, wonderful ! Gene

  9. Michael Murrin-avatar

Bumping it down to 3 stars because after more than a year of using this app, there's still an annoying lack of a certain capability. When you mass copy (or mass cut) and mass paste, and 1 or 2 of the files you're pasting has the same name as the target location, your only options are "overwrite/merge" the file in question, or cancel the entire operation. PLEASE GIVE THE OPTION TO RE-NAME THE COPIED FILE. OR SKIP THE FILE. It is extremely annoying.

  10. EoflaOE ViceCity-avatar

    EoflaOE ViceCity

This app may be better than Solid Explorer. It allows you to distinguish disk space usage in pie chart. For rooted devices, you can turn on the root access feature for free. Keep improving this app. This is your #1 file manager. Also, the developer isn't working on this app now. One thing: In some devices, if you go to Root (System) and go to proc, scroll down, and your system will restart.

  11. Matticas-avatar

Hi Devs, working brilliantly on Pixel 3 android 10. Can sftp and smb2 into multiple network machines, haven't tested over webz yet. Purchased the upgrade to keep these features. Small request, under the special folders, any chance to have a feature to "hide" certain folders so others using the app don't see the thumbnails as a result? Ta, :)

  12. J Wiz-avatar

This may be outdated, but due to the mess that it Android 10 and photo handling, this is the only app that has let me see what the heck is going on. None of the Google or aftermarket apps are truly deleting things. I am not an advanced enough user to moan about what this cannot do.

  13. Shari Ahmad-avatar

Amazing App 👍i love it. One problem that's really annoying me, That is when you move any type of data between Main Storage (internal storage) And Media Storage (SDHC) Or to Cloud storage it doesn't keep the Original Time Stamp which very important for images and videos because you don't want all your digital data on current date and time, it's important to us it keeps in original time stamp. You can turn of the update file changes infx, but it doesn't work for cut & move & upload to the cloud.

  14. Jason Brubaker-avatar

Exceptional app. This is the best file explorer that you'll find for Android. It is future rich. You can connect to network shares, look at your apks in one place, manage pictures, music, and other files.

  15. Agni Colmenares-avatar

    Agni Colmenares

The best file explorer. It even has its own file viewer, so you do not need to have any other software installed to open different types of files. The clipboard to copy/paste is great, and it gives very detailed information about storage. Would recommend it 100%

  16. Sharif Sircar-avatar

So far for first impression, I am blown away with how polished this is compared to an old unbloated version of es file explorer I was using, why did I switch when that was doing it's job? I had no clue it had a fatal flaw, and my app version was from 2018...and the exploit was found in the newer 2019 version. Will update later.

This is a must app, there is no better file manager in the market for any of my android devices, thanks a lot for this great product. I have a need with it. Is it possible to start the app with the websharing option enabled? I've checked you websharing applications but they require a WIFI connection and I am using ethernet. FX File explorer's websharing option works flawlessly over ethernet, so I would love to use it to control my files as a services. Thanks!

  18. Carl M-avatar

When I am at a remote location and connect to my home via my own vpn server, fx can access my home lan devices if I put in the device ip. However if i use fx to scan the local lan to find a device using dhcp, fx does not scan the proper lan subnet. It scans the subnet of my network carrier, not the home lan. Thus I cannot locate dhcp devices and connect to them. Is there a fix?

  19. Dan-avatar

Love this app. So much better than the built-in Android one. More flexible and way more options. Just wondering if there's a way to clear the "recent" folder? Not delete the actual files, just remove the history. Or better still, disable it from keeping a history of recent files opened etc. Cheers. :)

  20. Steve Ackroyd-avatar

My favourite file manager on Android. However, it has a bug which prevents audio files being properly assigned as ringtones. I tried to report thice twice via email, but got no response! Please fix this bug.

  21. Mike Shipway-avatar

Everytime we upgrade our phones they're invariably capable of holding larger Micro SD cards, which in turn equates to more videos, photos and music. If you want to easily migrate folders from a phone's memory to its Micro SD card this is the app that makes it easy.

  22. Andrew Leach-avatar

Great app does exactly as described and more. One feature I use that other premium aps that are missing is the app manager which allows you to disable the apps without losing data. Nice! Unfortunately the last update has a few bugs and support seems to be dead. No updates, no email response, equals dead. 😞

  23. Utkarsh Upadhyay-avatar

    Utkarsh Upadhyay

The app looks and feels okay. But 3 stars as it doesn't feel polished enough , for instance the Recents tab doesn't show some files I'd expect there to be. Came from ES File Explorer for safety reasons.

  24. Fernando Cassia-avatar

    Fernando Cassia

Text editor loses file contents once you switch to another app. If you have one text file opened, switch to Chrome return to FX you get a blank file (new file). Also, more annoyingly, the file open dialog lacks a "recently opened" option to return to a text file you were editing minutes ago.

  25. Jude S.-avatar

This is a great file browser. I'm a bit of a power user (root, microsd, network shares, etc) and it does nearly everything I need. I've used lots of other File mgmt/browser/explorer tools. This is easily the best. Update: not perfect, but still the best

  26. Christian Paul Sauza Monton-avatar

Hi Dev, I hope you are well during this during this pandemic issue. I have one thing to request maybe you can get rid of the hamburger menu for the android 10 gestures issue it's annoying i cannot swipe the hamburger menu right now and needed to put and effort to click the icon above specially when you have a tall display and put the tabs bar below the bg bar main for an easy access.

  27. Ayush Gangwar-avatar

Thisapp is good butkeeps saying access isnot permitted to SDcard every 2-3 days whenever I have tomake changes in it like changing name of a file, deleting it,transferring it from internal storage to SDcard or vice-versa or transferring it from one folder to another in SDcard.I have to cancel the above operation and click disable write access option from menu every 2-3 time then close all the windows and give access to SDcard. It's really annoying. The problem is same with fx plus.Pl solve it asap.

  28. V. Flores-avatar

Love it, I've been using it for more than a year if I'm not mistaken, and it works great. It's easy to use and I have not experienced any crash or bug so far. The interface is perfect on top of that. Anyone looking for a good file manager for mobile, this is the one.

  29. Rajat Basak-avatar

Very good file manager but two issues. 1. Need a option to rename copied files of same name and skip that file. 2. App name should be in full, FX File Explorer.

  30. sarthak shah-avatar

The worst app of my life , when I open this app and suddenly it's show me to format my hard drive , and I think app want to allow me to permissions of storage so I press format button by mistake and in less than 5 second it's clear my useful and personal data around 900GB. It's the worst part of my life and I never see app like this which is want my hard drive format. At least put ok button for confirmation of format any thing. This is important function.

I was looking for a replacement for ES File Manager and have decided this is the best right now. I paid for it and got the network options to work, so I'm not sure what problems others are having. The thing that scares me is that it has not been updated in a couple years and the tech support appears to be non-existent.

  32. James Shamy-avatar

I was so stuck on the old es file explorer, that I even went as far as installing the apk from another source, even after their whole scandal. They had everything that I thought I wanted. Until now! You brought everything they had AND MORE! Just bought the full version. THANK YOU. Ill leave you a 5 star review, but I only ask for one feature. Please add the ability to hide folders on network drives. A lot of my folders on there is pure clutter. Thanks again!

  33. Paul Munn-avatar

This is by far the best file manager I've seen for android. No ads and amazingly full of features. Very easy to use but powerful enough for advanced users. Also highly customizable. I can't imagine the amount of work that went into making such a polished and capable app. The free version is excellent and complete. But the extra features with the paid version add some nice functionality (the network and cloud file transfer work very well, better than most other apps I've tried). I'm happy to pay this developer for such high quality.

  34. Ssenyonjo Hamza Noah-avatar

    Ssenyonjo Hamza Noah

The app is okay. But please add the feature of renaming multiple files and folders at once.I mean that for example if I have series of a movie and I want to give them the same name with different numbers e.g Titanic 1, Titanic 2 etc at once but without naming one by one

  35. Goce Petreski - Official-avatar

    Goce Petreski - Official

Your app deleted all my files on my sd card!!! In the middle of copy paste from main storage onto the sd card, in split view, there was a message that the sd card is full, few seconds later the sd card was completely empty and all my files were gone!!!!

  36. John-Paul Re-avatar

Great app. Paid for the app for networking. Extremely disappointed that I can't share it to my family. account. Dunno if that's a google thing or a dev thing. But I would've kept looking for other apps had I known.

  37. Thor Lancaster-avatar

I've been using this app for over a year and am totally satisfied with the free version. It has all the features I need without being overly complicated. I use the root access feature a lot, it's a lot easier than typing long random paths into adb push/pull when trying to hack games. This is one of the few play store apps that I would trust to have root on my phone. No ads, no trackers, nothing that could give some Chinese tech firm more backdoors into my phone.

  38. Joanna-avatar

Nice app! But please make an option to pin opened windows so it's already there each time when opening the app. And instead of dragging all the way to the bottom, why not make it swipe left or right to juggle between windows? Thank you!

  39. Daniel Raj-avatar

Dear DevTeam, When I use "FX text edit" and "FX Explorer" and I switch to Multitask (Recent Tabs) Page, they are not in separate tabs. Please separate it. Thanks.

  40. mike hogi-avatar

Very easy to use File Manager. Simple user-Interface/ui. View ur docs n texts n pix, Also plays media files. Move files, folders, Cuts, Copies, Pastes..., even to SD Card. Great 'fle Manager' app. Thanx 4 sharing.

  41. Miles Blueness-avatar

The file manager: So, so, so good. I will never understand why Android didn't come with something like this. The text editor: 80x better than any other text editor for Android, and I have tried many. Lacks find & replace function (just has find), but it's such a breath of fresh air compared to literally everything else. Someone please make this exact app with added find & replace, I'd never need another text editor.

  42. Ian Tarry-avatar

Love this app in every way accept it seems I can't rename things in batches. I often need to rename 10 or more files and would love to be able to do that using this application. If I'm wrong could the developer tell me how I can do it. Thanks.

  43. Rakesh Rafter-avatar

I love how the app works. It is so fluid and responsive. Only thing is for the Lastest Android 10 some the features are not working properly like FX-Connect. Hopefully the next update can solve many problems. Is there any timeline for next update?

  44. Joshua Low-avatar

Very versatile and robust. I have been using CM File Manager Pro and ES File Explorer Pro, but their OneDrive Cloud could not work after I change my router to TP-LINK Archer C1200. I tried many apps and not a single one of them work properly with this router. Finally, I found this app, it works so well and it has all the functions I want on a file explorer. This is easily the best file explorer.

  45. Chris G-avatar

This is one of the best file explorers. The pro version handles cloud storage and network connections well.

  46. Kaison Davis-avatar

Really good, but there is not yet mouse support, and this would be really easy to add. Other file explorers have mouse support but they are not as nice as fx, so i will continue to use fx and hope that i can right click to see context menu someday in the dear future. However, i might find another file explorer out there that takes the cake... Tablet computers are growing in popularity, whether its chrome or blue tooth keyboard and mouse.

  47. Ian Sebryk-avatar

I really want to like this more than I do right now. but it constantly has 'network errors' and drops networks streams quite regularly: every 18mins, 24secs (weird...). most similar apps can pick up their stream if interrupted, but FX can't. since most of my use for this is in network operations, it is disappointing that the one core feature I need is so unreliable, even if regularly so. everything else about it is marvellous.

  48. Royd M-avatar

FX file manager trades blows with the best of the best. It's packed to the brim with features. Cloud support, FTP, Network/LAN etc.

  49. Utkrisht Sridhar-avatar

    Utkrisht Sridhar

The one paragraph privacy policy is enough for 5 stars and for purchasing the pro version. Wish the developer was open to feedback :)

  50. Jeric Ginez-avatar

Wonderful! it automatically deleted all of my files on my memory card when it reached full capacity without any warning while I am copying. That's 64GB worth of files without backup.

  51. Pascal Dk-avatar

One of the most intuitive file manager out there. I tried a tons of them, big names and obscure apk... There's 'nothing clearer. The major "con" here is that you can't unzip a file.

  52. Gert Jürgensen-avatar

    Gert Jürgensen

Do not use this APP if you have Android 10 and use SD cards/External Storage, it can only see/read the menu option to enable/disable write/delete access are missing, and if you try to write/delete if ask you to enable this via menu !!!!

  53. Jon Yz-avatar

current best explorer; need better filename sense when choosing Save As option; need more support samsung dex feature especially when using a mouse with right click option. need more flexible network password management. typing a password every moment is a pain. perhaps a biometrics option wld be good. otherwise, best atm.

  54. Anton Sluijtman-avatar

    Anton Sluijtman

Great file manager. Provides most basic functionality in intuitive ways. Supports stable remote filesystem access like ftps, etc. I have tried out many alternatives and this surely is a topper! I used ES File Manager before, but since that one is no longer safe and supported this is a worthy alternative. And... no ads! Even nice themes!

  55. Sam S-avatar

Update please, it's been a long time, and your app is about to fall aside. It no longer meets a target sdk, and it's causing issues.

  56. Colin Brett-avatar

Excellent. Would give 5 stars but for one problem. When connecting to Google Drive on my Samsung S7 phone, it fails with an 'internal error' message. No other explanation given. The same app on a Lenovo tablet works fine. Any suggestions to fix this error? I'm using the paid for version.

  57. HeiChing Yip-avatar

Its a powerful file manager with lots of utilities inside, however its strange i have bought the professional version on one phone, planning to install it on another phone but it requires me to pay again on google play, its so good i dont mind pay again to use it on second phone, but not only did it charge again, it said youve already paid for it and i couldnt install it, please help Problem fixed thanks

  58. Ade Groovy-avatar

App seems to be fine. One problem though, I have an android tv, and for some reason I can't get access to the full paid version I paid for already. How does that work?

  59. Sanjay Bosamiya-avatar

Best file explorer I ever seen, but renaming multiple files is not possible at a time, that is to be resolved

  60. Kolt-avatar

I have used this app for years, its worth getting the pro version, clean, easy to use and very powerful. This is the best file manager on Android period and has been for a very long time.

App doesn`t allow me to save in network folders (SMB) when i use share function in any app and choose fx file explorer as destination. It only gives me option to save in local filesystem. Bad.

  62. FoxyEddy-avatar

This is one of the best file manager I've used in my entire life! In my opinion, it need more improvement on the UI but that's fine. At least it got all the great features!

Works really well. Needed an explorer to transfer files from external card to on board storage. Brill!

The drag gesture to select items does not work. The filenames below each image or file should be optional.

Great UI, no ads, easy to use, what more could you ask for?

  67. Kevin Chiha-avatar

Best file explorer out there. Best part is, it's free and there are no ads! Devs, please keep it that way.

  68. Joe Smith-avatar

Excellent app, but for one limitation. I find this app well designed, from its "usage" view, to the split screen implementation, cloud storage connection with adding a device wide account. Also, the webaccess feature is amazing to use.

Love FX. My #1 favorite explorer. I think more people should start they're search for a good file manager/explorer with FX. Thanks developers

Exceptional file management app. Plus version really worth it. Feature rich and stable.

I do use this app for many years but with any update getting worse. Now I can't open files from SD card. It says file not found.

Good app but after 7 days you need to pay for pro version.( just clear data from settings and you will get pro one for another week :-)

  73. Abel Nightroad-avatar

This file manager has been in my service for more than 8 years And it has always performed the best it can regardless of the OS version it gets up to meet.

  74. Jens Gunther-avatar

This app works and does so well. Logical, intuitive, and easy on the eyes.

  75. Usman Khwaja-avatar

Perfect. Quickly switched from another 'popular' explorer. No ads. Great design and usability. Can browse the /system folder which is amazing. Love it. Dear developers, please do not bloat it with unnecessary functions. Keep it simple like it already is. No need for cleaners and file analysis tools. In my opinion, the text reader and built-in media player is also not needed. That should be left for third party apps. But I'm not complaining. It is good utility nonetheless.

  76. Oyu F'ka-avatar

I've used this app frequently over the last few months and feel able to honestly comment: 1. UI is aesthetically gorgeous. 2. The app is totally user-friendly, without the need for intrusive 'user tips/hints'. 3. Navigation to all features of the software is straight-forward and not at all confusing. 4. It allows the user to explore the Android system to whatever depth/access-level allowable. 5. Extremely stable. 6. I use the free version, (it has some functions limited, but tbh I dont really need these anyway), and find It has all, (if not more), the functions one would expect of a good quality file manager. To sum up: If you are in need of a file manager, be sure to try this one out - you won't be disappointed :-)!

  77. Aparna Basak-avatar

It was best. But now can't move same file in a single folder. "Keep both file" option is not there only overwrite/merge them. My so many images have same file name. Can't rename them one by one.

Fantastic app! Works on phones, tablets, AndroidTV devices flawlessly. The free version is good enough, but the reasonably priced pro upgrade is 100% worth the money for the added networking features.

This is a good app then ZArchive am not saying ZArchive is trash but when you use ZArchive sometimes the creator makes you do a password for the zip file but with Fx file i can get the zip file without needing to put a password this is app file is gtate.

An excellent file 📎 manager app, I have been using this as my main file msnager app for some time now… somehow I always come back to it and no matter what it ends up installed on my phone! I higly recommend it!

Nice file manager, but it's really messed up whenever I switch order from alphabetical to date; the folders stop showing up in top of the screen and it's something I'm not used to, which is quite a pain on my neck.

  82. Adrian Marcus-avatar

Great to navigation. No ads. What more can one ask for? Includes root file access and text editor which is a nice bonus for developers. Absolute pleasure to use because of all the great customisations.

  83. Kyouhyung Kim-avatar

Hands down the best file manager app on Android. Insanely powerful, with beautiful graphics. No intrusive ads, and once you purchase fx plus the app actually gets the message and gets out of your way: no such thing as Plus Premium upgrade or stupid subscription nags.

It is very good. I guess if it had a button 'select all' it would be still better. Thanks for the app.

Nice, but i hope this have multi tab like in ES File Explorer. I don't like the split view. For now, i will use Total Commander.

WARNING! Be careful before you install this app may spy on you. Anyone wants to tell me why FX requested my location in the background? When I was at work and not using the phone? I paid for this app and its premium features. App itself is doing great job as a file manager but looks like it's spying on you

'Display as: Usage' is totally broken A 5.6 GB folder is shown as a 2.5 GB folder. A 17.8 GB folder is displayed as 6GB Other folders (of sizes 8.8, 9.04) are similarly displayed incorrectly

New version introduced bug 🐛 Error "Access was denied" basically it can't write to the SD card anymore 👎 external storage permission is granted but it no longer works

  89. Bass Equaliser-avatar

FX Explorer deletes the entire destination flash Drive/Memory Card when the files copied is greater than the free space available on the destination Drive/Card. It doesn't even stop you from copying. It just copies and wipes. 😳

Just the job. I gave it only one star before because of the lack of write access issues but now it now works.....Brill!

2 stars because developer not update to keep latest Android 10 run properly. FX Connect unable to find and be found other device after I update to Android 10

Great app. It has a nice and intuitive UI and has many useful functions to manage files. Very important is the multiple file explorer managing view that allows to switch fastly between directories.

  94. Irene Ivory-avatar

I use this since 4 years ago.. and never change... the best explorer on store... btw, i have problem n also sugestion.. First, apps folder not show any applications list... This feature only for rooted devices ? And second, it's would be good if this app had recycle bin and something similar like that :)

  95. Jonny Soltis-avatar

Would love an update this year. Direct connection is still very buggy.

  96. Crystal Paws-avatar

This is the best file manager for android. It's clean, have many functions yet not bloated, and the policy of no-ads and no-tracking is admirable.

  97. David Eaton-avatar

I like this app a lot, enough that I paid for the Pro version. But I am only giving it 3 stars because I am taking off 1 star for each of its 2 faults. First, it won't open azw3 files in FBReader Pro, even though the latter DOES support the new system (and Google's own Files app does). And secondly it misbehaves when I slot in a USB flash drive. Plus the app developer never replied when I emailed about both issues, which shows a poor attitude to customers - shame given that it is mostly so good.

  98. Dg Phone-avatar

Wow I've just played around for a bit and have fallen in love. Very cool app. I just used system root to edit some system files. I love the split screen. User interface is clean and friendly. It even writes and reads .txt files. I was looking around for an app that does that and I found it in FX file Explorer by accident. Likely going to purchase full version.

  99. Brian B.-avatar

Been using this app for years. Has some major bugs as of recent. I am unable to delete files on external sd card. And I've already granted write permissions. I am also unable to rename files. I bought pro years ago. Unfortunately I am looking at other file explorers since this problem. Fix these bugs, I've already tried other file explorers and am able to do these tasks with ease. As soon as you fix this problem, I'll happily give a 5 star rating.

Sadly, I've uninstalled it. It refuses to write to SD card or network despite my having granted access. Had no response from developers to my query about this. Pity - as it looked like an app well worth paying for ... At a second attempt I got it to access a network share, but any alterations to a text file on a network share cannot be saved. If that can be overcome perhaps I'd buy it, otherwise I shall have to make the best of it as it is. The free CS can save to net !
