EHTERAZ is the official contact tracing application for the State of Qatar and is owned, operated, and approved by the Ministry of Public Health. ETHERAZ aims to protect and safeguard the health of citizens, residents, and visitors in the State of Qatar to support the national effort in preventing and reducing the spread of COVID-19. ETHERAZ has been developed to: 1) Provide alerts or notifications when members of the public are exposed to a suspected, infected, or confined person through prompt, accurate, digital contact tracing. 2) Provide a visual QR code showing infection and/or vaccine status (when available) to other individuals for safe interaction with the wider community. 3) Identify locations with high infection rates in order for the relevant authorities to provide prompt action to prevent further spread and higher risk exposure to members of the public. 4) Provide official announcements on health, social distancing, containment efforts, and up to date COVID-19 statistics. The Ministry of Public Health wants all users of the application to feel safe when using ETHERAZ and is committed to maintaining each individual’s privacy and confidentiality by using only the necessary minimum amount of information, personal data, and device permissions required to function and protect the citizens and residents of the State of Qatar. EHTERAZ requires permission to use: • Bluetooth signals for the exchange of anonymized IDs with devices in close proximity that also have EHTERAZ installed. This information is used for contact tracing to alert individuals who are at risk of infection. • Background location services to always know where the device is, in order to better identify areas with a high infection rate and take prompt action to prevent the spread of COVID-19. - Permission to write to the file system - required to allow storage of a small, encrypted file which holds a unique ID, QR code, infection status, configuration parameters, and proximity data of other devices using the Application • Local device storage when not connected to the internet to hold contact and location information until the user is back online. ETHERAZ is for the benefit of all of us. Working together we can keep our neighbors, our colleagues, our friends, and our families safe. Contact Tracing in EHTERAZ APP When two registered users come within Bluetooth range of each other, their EHTERAZ Apps will automatically exchange anonymized ID with devices in close proximity. This information is used for contact tracing to alert individuals who are at risk of infection.

Ridiculous application! I tried logging into it, and it constantly showed " Unable to login, as you have exceeded the no of limits". I registered a complaint and even after 24hrs, the issue is the same. Cannot travel in metro, supermarket etc because of this error. Call center people have given assurance that the complaint will be solved soon, but the same problem keeps going on.

Bed App and Useless Support. App stoped, had to re-install, but then error message prompted saying "exceeded number of activations, call 109". I've been calling 109 for 2 days, I've waited for more than 30 minutes to talk to an agent each time, just to hear them say that they will call me back soon, but they don't. In the meantime, without showing Ehteraz, I am not allowed anywhere, work, Grossery shopping, and even hospitals!

My PCR result negative but the App color is grey, called 109 and they said some issues and will fix it. But nothing happend. Asked to uninstall and reinstall, did it but still situation same and now I did the second time bow says exceeded the times of installtion. I need to catch flight today before 4 and I dont know what to do. Cant go to even collect my report. Please help

Would give this zero stars if possible. Absolutely horrible customer service, been trying to fix my pass from yellow to green for the past week and now I've exceeded the number of activation attempts after following their advice. Still haven't received any updates from the technical support team.

Sometime this application is good. But taking too much time for data updation. My wife Ehteraz not getting update so deleleted & reinstall again but no. of tries exceeded so not getting activate. Now she locked up at home their is no emergency service to update or solve the problem. Hope MOPH will do something in this matter

If you cannot do technical support why require the app to be mandatory. The technical issues can't be addressed right away. I have waited days to hear from technical support but to no avail.

Worst experience about ehteraz... I completed 2 days hotel quarantine and 8 home quarantine.. I took 2 times pcr test and one anitibody test.. Today 14th day still ehteraz is yellow... I uninstalled the app and try to reinstall... Now I can't able to register... I contact customer care lot of times but no use... They said it I'll clear within 24 hours... Very bad experience

App okk good but, if u have technical problems, rising tickets no only given 109 not good service I call 3 days continuously 10 times given reporting not responding worst technicals service... Still my ethraz app not activated...

Tracking device with just too many permissions. Last updated removed first two doses for vaccinated people. Also make it use the services only when active, it drains tha battery vers fast. Terrible IT skills from the people who made this app.

This app blocks the user out of Ehteraz along with the message "Exceeded number of activation. Please call 109". Please stop limiting the activation to 5 times. People change phones, reinstall apps, reset roms all the time due to which reactivations are required. This problem is widespread to many users and no solution for this due to which people end up buying new phones and new SIM cards just to solve this.
