    The app is ok. My only issue is why does the app work on my phone and on my laptop but doesn't work on my roku box unless I'm home on my network? If I use my phone and laptop while away from home it works just fine. If I travel and take my roku box the app won't work unless its on my home in-home network? If that's the case it shouldn't work on any other device if I'm not at home. You can't even screen cast it to the tv. Make it make sense yall. Read the damn reviews on here and fix the issues.

    ing JUNK. Regardless of the device, this app is at best klunky and s-l-o-w! At worst, after selecting a program to watch, it sits and chugs and chugs until after an extended period, it produces a message saying it "can't play that now" and I need to select another program. If I do select another, the app runs through the same sequence again and again until I just shut it off and pick up a book to read. My books are always ready to go for me!!

    app The bad thing is you can't watch the local channels live if you're not at home system. Unlike Dish, I can be in California and watch live local channels. Xfinity claims, it's a licensing thing maybe they need to call Dish. So if I want to watch 60 minutes and I'm not at my home it will record it and then I got to wait till the next day to watch it even if I'm in California this is delay. And that's for CBS NBC and ABC all the locals can't watch them live unless you're in your living room.

    beta Download will not work with my Chromebook. I have emailed support and of course have received no answer or even acknowledgement of receipt. Very disappointing as I travel a lot and looked forward to downloading and being able to watch offline as I don't always have an internet connection available to me. Thank you for your suggestion but the download function is what I need which doesn't seem to be available through the website.

    app on firestick A couple of months ago i would have given this a 5 star review...BUT now it doesn't even deserve 1 star! Before you could be home/away & watch anything on the app now you have to be subscribed to all the channels to be able to watch live tv or anything on demand! Like I'm already paying for the service & its nearly $200 a month, why in the world would i keep adding an extra fee to be able to watch a show/channel when I am able to get it normally on my TV !?! Xfinity, you really need to do better

    not working I notice last week, that I got a "playback issue 2111" error 7. I called Xfinity to try to troubleshoot the problem. I then was transfered to a customer rep. She advised that I was not getting all of the prime channels, so that might be the problem why I'm getting the Playback issue. As one critic said, why pay over $200 monthly for something that is not been used. Roku, here I come.

    pix I'm officially done with this app and done with Xfinity. None of my recorded shows are playing in the app AND they're not playing on On Demand. It's literally the most useless thing I've ever seen. So many people are having issues and there hasn't been a single response. Suck it, Xfinity. I'm out. Uninstalling and switching to a new provider.

    live Love the app. When I first got this app, it was amazing. I saw all of my favorite TV Shows and Movies. And not to mention you can fast forward and go back and all sorts of stuff. And I even saw my favorite, Diff'rent strokes on it and all of the episodes were free on demand. But I'm sad they ended all the episodes. I'm trying to be strong. I hope it comes back on very soon.

    free Getting horrible to use. Somebody seriously needs to go through this app and update it and redo the user interface. I hate how it loses its place when you're watching something, the DVR saved recordings are an issue too, and this app always crashes. It's a shame because I pay so much for Xfinity every month and my app is useless.

    roku Older recordings will show up on DVR; but, not on the app. The ability to download recordings is very usefull. Seeing the most recent recordings and the recently viewed recordings or programs is very helpful. App still has bugs. Android version doesn't let you delete a program or series of programs in the general recordings list. And, the last recording on a list of program recordings is cut off. App still continues to be one of the better apps to view television shows.

    The app is broken ever since a recent update. Every time I try to watch a recording the sound becomes more and more out of sync with the picture as time goes on until it's unwatchable. I don't know who to contact about this since I doubt they'll do anything and there's no link in the app to to speak to a representative for help!

    It's all right, but has one fatal flaw that makes it complete garbage. If you dare to use your phone for anything else, it loses it's place in what you're watching and forces you to watch endless commercials to get back on track. Every other streaming app I use has no problem saving my place, this is obviously their way to force me to watch endless commercials. For industry leaders, you might wanna figure it out, no wonder cable is losing to Hulu! I get that Xfinity is greedy AF, but come on!

    Constantly stops working. Can't get it to work outside of my home wifi which totally goes against the app name xfinity go. I pay a lot for the services you provide and have been a customer for some time, but the app has gone way downhill and is very frustrating that it barely works even on my home wifi. Please fix this application. I read reviews and see I'm not the only one with this opinion and the same issues. As of 3/22/2021 no improvemen this is the worst streaming application always stops

    Has to be the worst streaming app I have used. Impossible to finish streaming a show. The app struggles to resume the show after a commercial break and about half the time after a commercial break it thinks you finished the show even though you aren't even halfway through. It cant even stream the commercials correctly. The search feature works great. But the actual streaming is terrible.

    All was well for a year then about 2 months ago the app would load on my chromebook and when i tryed to acess achannel i would get a 2111 error. Uninstalled the app and reinstalled several time with no luck. I can acces from my browser ( which is inconvient ) but the app is broke!!!!

    Have had very little problem with the app once I learned how to navigate it. Have used it when out of town and it works fine. I like being able to watch my downloaded content while traveling. Very happy with it so far. UPDATE: Realized that there are some stations I cannot watch on the app outside of my home. In particular NHK World, a station I watch a lot. This really makes no sense. The app is for streaming remotely. If I am home, I won't be watching tv on my phone.

    I use this on my Galaxy tab and it's been good until the last few months. It will freeze and buffer quite frequently. I've rebooted, deleted and reinstalled and it keeps stopping on me. Today I went through buffering every 1-3 minutes for at least an hour. It even does it on my Android phone. It used to be a solid app and would never stop on me. Other streaming apps don't do this. Please fix ASAP and I will re- evaluate my review.

    Constantly buffers even when my device sits directly next to my Xfinity xb7 gateway, and speed tests show more than enough speed for streaming. Trying to delete recordings is hit or miss. It's an Xfinity app through and through and emulates what you'd expect after calling their customer service.

    Completely awful. None of my paid channels show up. I literally spent HOURS trying to get to an agent to troubleshoot (only to get support via SMS) and the problem still persists. Comcast/Xfinity is the absolute worst company you can ever encounter. The other comments are telling. Stay clear.

    I am very disappointes in this app. I used to be able to watch whatever I wanted on my tablet, now I only get one station. Whether I try another station or something like a movie, all I get is an error message "We're sorry, we can not play this video right now. Try another station," Error message 2111, error 2. I'm frustrated. I used to use it in the kitchen while I cooked, but now can not do that. I"ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling twice, and have gone into session to "refresh". No help

    This app SUCKS SO BAD! If you want to watch something on a chromebook or phone you're gonna have better luck with the browser, this app needs serious improvements, I will try to watch a channel and it will not load no matter how close I am to my router, so I go into the browser and instantly I'm watching what the app never loaded, waste of space on my device and completely vexing. I expected better from Comcast especially with how over priced the service is.

    When watching live TV on my Samsung S9, the app suddenly stops and sometimes restarts, but more often, I need to exit the channel and restart. Many times it is faster just to exit and restart the channel rather than wait for the app. More recently, the app just stops and the screen goes black. I then need to log out and back in on my phone to get back to the app. Once it is tunning for a while it seems to stabilize. I have had fewer problems streaming saved programs.

    Tends to lock up, freezes screen but audio is still going, audio is not synching, dvr has issues with certain channels. One instance that a recording is made for weekly show. It stops 15 minutes prior to completion. Have to add 30 minutes to end of scheduled time.

    Truly the worst streaming app I've ever used. To preface this, I use my phone to cast and stream things successfully on other apps and have great internet. The quality of these streams are horrific. My first time, I tried to stream an episode. Every 30 seconds it was buffering. I was then delighted to see a recording feature, and an option to do so in HD. This is just a bold faced lie. This recording is 480p at BEST. It's awful to watch. Improve this awful experience.

    Good but missing functions on firestick. I have been using the app on my android tablet for a while so when I saw it was available for the firestick I decided to try it. Overall, I am happy with the performance on my firestick 4k but there are 2 items not working: 1. The channel guide has no star next to the channel. It's needed to add channels to Favorites. Works on Android tablet but not on the Firestick. 2. In filters there is no "free to me" choice. That choice is available on tablet.

    there are no setting like perferred languages because I keep getting commercials in spanish and other languages and can't understand a thing. Nor can you replace those for ones that can be understood. What is the point of the marketing if the target audience cannot understand what is being promoted. This is why I'd never advertise with xfinity. Waste of time and money.

    Used to be a great app but now it buffers constantly even on a solid Wi-Fi connection or even when at home which makes no sense. Also our bill recently went up again and apparently it's due to all the shows we stream??? Isn't that included as free unless it is a movie or something that says must subscribe or rent... either way if it's on the app and says free, we shouldn't be charged more. Will give time for another update but if this doesn't improve, deleting app.

    This app used to work it just tells me to update ...(Everything I own is already updated) and will not let me stream ANYTHING!! This is so Typical of Xfinity\Comcast. Just letting the issue go without fixing the obvious problems and still charging customers for services they do not bother to maintain.

    Almost every time I try to watch a recorded show on the app on my smart TV, the video pauses while the sound track continues, creating a 3-5 second delay between the two. This continues for the text of the recorded show. If I pause or stop the show, it permanently corrupts the file and will not play beyond the point the video was stopped. Rebooting the app, the TV, or the rented modem. If Verizon FiOS wasn't so expensive, I'd be cancelling my contract and paying the cancellation fee ASAP.

    The only reason they get 2stars is because it used to be a good app. The app is the only reason I still had cable. Considering getting rid of cable and streaming Roku tv for free. Don't have to pay for Roku and they don't buffer constantly. Now that I think of it, it's a no brainer. Goodbye xfinity

    The app is better on iOS, but the Android app version is much improved. I am able to delete DVR recordings without having to watch the recording first. I really hate these in-home watch restrictions. If that's the case, what is the point of having an app that allows me to watch outside the home!? I don't understand. Why Comcast?

    This app is acting terrible. I'm trying to watch recorded shows and if I fast forward through ANYTHING the sound permanently gets out of sync. Restarting the episode doesn't work, Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't work, restarting my phone doesn't work. Logging out of my account and back in doesn't work.

    I cannot log into this app on my Samsung Galaxy Tab E for the life of me. It keeps telling my my password is wrong but I've verified it several times and even logged out and logged back in on the website with the same credentials and it works. I'm very disappointed. EDIT: I was finally able to log into this app on my tablet but it should not have been that difficult.

    Only major disappointment of this app is the for "In-Home" viewing ONLY Shows & Programs! This severely LIMITS a persons enjoyable viewing ability of their FAVORITE PROGRAMS... ESPECIALLY when on-the-go!! Example, can't view my regular Thursday night S.W.A.T television show through the app when I'm babysitting my grandkids at their home!! Or trying to catch a show's missed episode & not finding out it's only for "In-Home" viewing after you attempt to view it through the APP while On-The-Go!!

    So tired of this company This company is expensive, always has outages and this damn app never works right. Now I had to update the app and it keeps opening a browser webpage every time it opens. The webpage never loads to whatever its trying to go to, and the app just doesn't load anymore. What the hell are these idiots at Comcast trying to do? Nothing ever works. I'm looking at other internet options. I can't take this company anymore. 3 years with them is too much.

    New version 6.3.2. released in November 19 is flawed. Unable to playback download. Android 8.0.0 operating system. Everything else seems to be working fine. New update works on my older Samsung tab S tablet. Udate: version is still not working on downloading to phone and playing back. Update: still won't play when download from DVR to phone.

    I'm know tech wiz. But, if your app kept freezing, randomly shut down and wouldn't allow you to access content on your own network. I would work on it. Just me. It's there in a pinch but, reliability is not in this apps coding.

    Works on wife's phone quit loading Live TV and recordings on my Samsung A51. I can watch on demand if going to individual networks. Just get Cheddar,Stingray,Skynews, Dust and Shout on the "Live Channels". Spent hours with tech support. Told me to factory reset phone to see if it cleared the issue. You all know that isn't going to happen. Billion dollar company with dollar tree IT department. COVID took out the good ones I guess. Like others said You Don't Get All Your Channels On The Go.

    Since updating my Chromebook to Chrome 89 OS, getting error message "2111 - not able to playback content" while watching selecting any live TV channel. Automatically switches to the TV Go option if there is one, or else it's the 2111 error message.

    Channels freeze up sometime. But now channel 3 is playing in spanish and it's was not doing that before until the last two updates. How I am not getting channel 3 or 8 it's say you have to be on home network and I am. Now the app it stops and telling about downloads. Need to fix the update this was not happening before. Now other local stations are not coming in now still say connect to home WiFi and I am and the channels are not coming in fix it

    They keep saying minor bug fixes, yet I can watch anything record on dvr in the home on my home network using the app. It just buffers and then give an error message. Hasn't worked correctly in already 6 months!

    Worked fine until a few weeks everytime I get halfway through a show the audio goes out of sync. Tried on a cell phone, tablet, and TV with fire stick, and have the same issue with all three. Update ASAP!!!!!

    Try to watch something I recorded? NOPE. Try to watch live television? NOPE. ALL WITHIN WIFI RANGE AND AM I ABLE TO DO LITERALLY ANYTHING?? NNNNOPE! So, what is this app good for? If there's someone who can help me fix these issues (yes I've cleared cache), then I'll change my mind. This has only been an issue for the last 2-3 months.

    I cant get the app to work any more on my chrome book it only goes to go to tv and does not open those either. Then I uninstalled and reinstalled and it asks me to access my files and photos and I say deny and then it wants to update my preferences and it goes right back to wanting access to my files and photos.

    ZERO STAR!!!!!!!!!!It literally takes 5 minutes to stream anything It seriously takes that long for the app to think about it and half the time it gives error message. Netflix Amazon and Hulu are by far much better streaming apps.

    DVR not working again on chromebook. When live programs go to commercial they don't always return to playing - frequently just get stuck on screen saying that they will resume, but that doesn't happen.

    You can't search for or watch any specific channel # with this app. Even when you search for that specific channel # the results come back as "no matches found". The UI is basement. The number of channels that are available outside of home wi-fi are equal to the number of shoes I wear every day and I wear 4 shoes every day. The only reason this review has 5 more stars than it deserves is because xfinity by comcast increased my price randomly when I left my last shite review. I'll keep you upd

    The app works, allows you to watch on the go and on smart tv's which is great. Only part that is bothersome is you can't fast forward on smart tv's like you can with a box connection and see where you are. Also knowing the last episode watched would be nice. The Plaistow option is not there either.

    Most pointless app I've ever seen on the Google Play store. 2 min commercials In The Middle of Huge Moments!?! and YOU HAVE TO BE ON HOME WIFI TO WATCH ANYTHING ELSE. GUES WHAT? IF I WAS HOME I WOULDNT NEED A GD APP TO WATCH A FOOTBALL GAME I ALREADY PAY MY CABLE BILL TO SEE!!!! WHAT IS THE POINT OF AN APP THAT CANT GO OUTSIDE YOUR HOME????     since march 9 update app not functioning as before. created comcast ticket and while tech support says others experinece same issues app remains broken and additional channels cease to function each day. poor technical support and ticket remains open

    It takes forever to load live television channels. I always get an error when I try to watch my recorded shows. I also don't understand why it's buffering while in the house practically right next to the modem. Very disappointed with this app.

    mostly good but what is the point of downloading a show if it is unavailable when you are not connected to wifi, netflix never has this issue. For what Xfinity cost per month this should not be an issue.

    This is the world's worst streaming app. Attempting to watch shows is a pain. The app craps out during all the commercial breaks when streaming through Chromecast. It is absolutely awful. It glitches, hiccups, doesn't resume the program. Terrible.

The tech installing my account couldnt keep them out or how they are getting in. ive had it for a week and and was told not to use it but still want me to pay. i havnt even got to see what ive bought.     There isn't much of a point for the app. service. I thought there would be some advice on how to cast TO the box. I couldn't even get a hold of a live person to ask if it was possible. The internet subscription is fine, but the app is kind of pointless.

    At 5 months post sign-up, Stream continues to prove it's a low quality app. No remediation done. Channels buffer, then freeze up. Lately, it even locks up my LG TV and kicks me completely out of Stream! At my wit's end so I'll switch to a competitor soon--too frustrating for words.

    You should be able to watch whatever channel or shows that you pay for regardless of where you are. I am on the go most of the time so it would be nice to be able to watch everything that I am able to watch if I was in my own house that I have paid for. Also there should be an option to have the picture in the background continuously playing while you are using other apps or functions of my phone, just like YouTube and Netflix.

    All the. CHannels dont SHOW up on the favorites list like metv. Sometimes I cant watch what i want because it tells me im not at home. You should be able to watch more than one of the shows thats been recorded instead of having to pick the next show every time the show you recorded goes off the show should continue to play until you want fo quit watching it

    Horrible!!! I will cancel! Won't allow me to watch Utah Jazz basketball. Says log on to home Wi-Fi to watch. If I was home, I would not need to watch on the Stream App!!! Second issue, won't allow me to mirror to my RV TV while camping. I can do it without issue with Netflix and Prime. Why limit from my own phone? Too many restrictions, not as advertised

    Highly disappointed that I can't use my app because it is trying to force me to grant permissions to my storage for parental controls. I don't use nor do I want to use why would it need access to my storage... this is silly to force customers into this in order to use the app. It should be optional and users should be able to decline

    Needs to be able to do what Youtube tv does. Play local channels live. Also the firestick version needs to fix closed caption. You have to turn if off everytime you change a channel.

    What can I say , I LUV Xfinity . I Luv the apps internet , I watch it now on 4 TV's and all my phone's too . Easy to use my daughter is disabled and for her it's just a miracle that she can use the tv or phone , or laptop without feeling inadequate it helps her feel good about speaking into the mic and getting her needs met I luv it .     Any show that is recorded from CBS, with about 10 to 15 mins left, it just stops, then brings up box to delete or not delete. Can watch the shows fine on the dvr. It does it only on the cbs shows

    Who created this app? Certainly Not Xfinity's A team developers. I access it thru our Amazon fire sticks. The fire sticks and programs work fine with little to no lag when switching from program to program. Internet speed is fine...However the XFINITY Beta app is OFF the charts S-L-O-W. I can brew a 12 cup pot of coffee and complete a mortgage application from the moment I turn on the tV to the program is on. Channel changing is almost as painful. SLOW.
