    I pause devices and yet somehow they get turned back on and I'm being charged for overages. I would really like to point out I was given an 80 dollar credit to to overages in data , it was never applied!!! I am seriously considering canceling both of my accounts, as well as posting this on social platforms of how I'm being taken advantage of . I would like a phone call asap or I will be going with another service provider. Thank you , Mieke .

    app The app is bland it needs more drive. Don't get me wrong it's a nice app it just makes me tired. Also I don't like that I can't get into the settings on the box. I like to put 2.4 , 5 g where i want. If I was renting a car they are not going to drive it for me so why am I not seeing each individual device and there settings. I could with Spectrum and AT&T and they didn't charge you for it.You shouldn't have to pay to control what you are already paying for. Less jail colors more vibrant colors

    pods This app, though useful is deceptive. Now that Comcast has decided to enforce days caps usage has become an issue. The graph they give tells you and average use not actual data use so you always see a total of 100% even on light usage days. This does not tell you how much you've used to date. How can you manage usage accurately? But they will charge you overages! Also the set up is a little involved. Otherwise it's useful. Waiting for updates maybe it will get better. PS what's with data caps!

    gateway Very easy to navigate and get done with what you need top get done =] fantastic addition, could do with a tad more functionality in the home screen for sure, I would love to see a stat window that you can run in another window, allowing the user to consistently moniter usage, upload and dl speeds, as well as CPU temp for the device you choose top run the program on

    login Worse than calling. Absolutely the most useless features ever developed. It cannot do much except tease. Once you get what you want it resets to the same queries. It's actually easier to call and play their phone game and wait to speak to a person in a foreign country. Never considered FIOS until now.

    pods review was working and using it just fine for at least six there is no longer a submit / "apply changes" butting the pause device screen, which is the only thing I was using this for. and their so called customer service has been even remotely one bit of help... Update... emailed many times with no response or results...after several months of not working it started working again. However, now there is no bedtime feature where it is supposed to be... 02/2021... App still doesnt work!!

    modem I used to love this app, then suddenly it won't work on my phone. It still works on my husband's, and I can get it to work on my old phone, but not this one anymore. It always says, "We need an internet connection. Connect to the internet using a cellular or WiFi connection then select Try Again." One Cleared Cache, Cleared Data, Uninstalled, but it just doesn't work on this phone anymore. It used to. I just don't why it suddenly stopped working.

    nity login Glitchy and annoying. This app is a great idea, with the ability to control internet down time, etc., but only when it actually works. About 50% of the time I encounter an issue with the app (unprompted logging out, extremely long load time, not loading at all) that prohibits me from using the app as intended. Have deleted and reinstalled several times to no avail.

    nity stream I really love this app. I can see who's on the wifi I can pause them if I don't recognize it. The parental controls can be set for bed time or down time. Good app. It doesn't want to load occasionally and would like to be able to keep an eye on the apps the kids are using. I'm sure as you guys update some of these options become available.

    nity speed test Comcast is the worst and this app is of no help what so ever! All I needed to do was connect my new modem. The only instructions received were to download the app and it would walk you through the process. This was utterly false and spent 2 hours in the chat with an assistant when the process should take like 15 minutes max. I hate comcast!!!!!

    Told to use it but it didnt work. Called the automated voice and it took me circles but after the 3rd ring i finally got to speak with An agent. He tried go blame me but it turned put to be them. But the best part is when he told me the speed would pick up after the modem "warms" up in a few minutes. 12 hours later it remained the same.

    I can't get on the app. I wish xfinity had stay with McAfee or Norton. This app is too hard & frustrasting. I still can't use-didn't have this problem until xfinity decided to change and did'n't ask customers anything. as far as the chat -it's useless- it has a few select topics that none apply to me and unable to speak to a live person. I've tried on 4 separate occasions- spent total of 5 frustrating hrs.

    Super glitchy. Regularly crashes. Often doesn't do what the user just set it to do (ie unpaue certain devices,.etc). New devices on ridiculously hard to identify. Parental controls are frustratingly partial and less effective than they could be. For example, you have to unpause devices indefinitely, not just for a set period of time. And it only tracks usage for kids (as an option) on some websites, but not most. Shows potential, but not nearly there yet.

    Xfinity has been an unreliable internet provider. Maintenance is regularly performed during working hours, a big issue for someone who teaches during the day. They do not provide a heads up, and the "text updates" feature has never worked. Customer service is kind, but incredibly slow.

    Only the home screen loads. Can't access router settings or view devices. I had to get this router because of the new data caps but upload speeds are much slower than they used to be even over ethernet. Comcast continues to be one of the worst companies on the planet. Really lives up to their reputation.

    While the app seems to work well enough for the most part, I'm honestly not sure what purpose it is meant to serve. I don't need to set up an Xfinity branded device, and the grand sum of additional offerings seem to include- Remotely resetting your router; network speed test (device connection speed test would not run); several menu items that just open an automated chat service; a number of menu items that just open in browser. Am I missing something?

    Pretty good - could be a 5 star if one of a couple fixes were put in place. Either begin to recognize devices by mac address so that it stops making up a 'newly connected' device every time an existing device reconnects and/or make it possible to set rules for Unassigned Devices.. like amount of usage time or inactivity hours.

    If you have the TV box and internet box you may have to reconnect internet on your TV Every Morning.. Also, a lot work and a lot of back and forth to see where data went if it wasn't in the last 24hrs. Otherwise I like seeing who is plugged in and usage. .. EDIT Not sure how 2 people over 50 and one that works 7 days goes over 1 Tig just by watching TV , 1computer, and a couple of alexa's

    A child schedule a device pauser does not work, it is a useless waste of a good idea, that will not actually enforce the time limits or the settings that you say it should... How a paused device spends 14 hrs on the network... Why does off until I say back on reset at midnight so if I pause and my kids up at 1201 he can gets he's network access back unless I pause it again... Don't think that sleep setting works either that resets at midnight also So 6 months later and still no improvement

    This is a great app. Most of the applications work great, and I'll have no issues. Although one application (parental control) needs work. I'll block my sons internet after a few hours. Sometimes it works and other times it won't. Other then that, app work great.

    I can't wait until this contract is up. I will NEVER. EVER EVER use their service again!!!! There is NO customer service EVER. no one ever knows what's going on with your bill. Payment processing issues HORRIBLE service and an awful company I can't wait to be rid of them. There is NO WAY to communicate with them ever. O would never recommend this service or ap to anyone ever!

    You can pause people but if they have access to your modem they can just get back into the wifi. Bills don't process right away on the app and it'll charge late fees cause it rolls over even when you pay it on time but they charge a fee to pay over the phone. Customer service over the phone is not that great and they aren't always clear on details with one person telling you one thing and another saying something different. Promotions are also unclear but people call often. Overpriced.

    It does what's expected. It arms and disarms like an alarm should. There are a couple things that can be improved. Why is there not an instant arm on the app? A check box and you armed can't be that tough. Smaller thing would be a quick bypass. For that trip out into the garage or backyard. Rearms in the 2min interval. Other than that I like the alarms functions. The camera works great.

    I would go negative stars if I could! I have a laptop and an Ethernet cable. I can physically connect to and log into my modem but I need an APP to manage the advanced WIFI settings????? so I get the app and I cannot log in... Screw this.... I'm gonna go bridge mode, disable the Xfinity WIFI and buy Sonicwall Firewall with built in WIFI. I HATE not have FULL AND PROPER control of my own network!

    Doesn't actually work a lot of the time as advertised. I just activated two new phones that are connected to my wifi and neither appear in the list of connected devices, nor did I get any notification that they ever connected. I don't actually ever get notified when a new device connects even though I have tripe-checked this everywhere to show notifications for this app. My router of course shows the phones as connected because they are. Disabling wifi for devices that appear works well however, but what you see on the TV ads isn't all that it seems.

    Does not provide accurate information on the status of my network, which crashed 30 mins after I got off the phone with an agent that said that there was no problem with my system. I was trying to inform her that I had done troubleshooting of my own and that the problem seemed to be the modem. We have had trouble with every Arris TG1682G we have ever had, but Xfinity keeps sending those to us.

    worthless app... just links to xfinity website. When trying to activate a new modem, or change a service, it just links back to itself and does nothing. Now I can't do these things online either (via website on a PC), it says I have to download the app and activate that way. Now I have to call and waste 2 hours in hold.

    This service is the worst. Who interrupts service without warning. I cannot work. This is inconvenient, to say the least. Who is paying me for missed work. But Xfinity will want their money when the bill is due. Regardless if it is running or not, the service is still sub par. My personal cell phone cuts out in the front part of my house. It Did not do that before. I feel like I am being held hostage by the internet. I had to go to someone else's house who had AT&T to work. So sad.

    Jusy wanted to add some pointed complaints: if I want to see my bill, I want to see my bill, I dont want to chat with some bot about it, make that an optional feature. Trash app, trash company. Internet dictators. How do you sleep at night. Deliberate design to make things difficult and hard to manage, blows my mind. Moms always told me, Comcast is the devil 🤘 change of name dont change your game. Your website doesn't even give proper guidance on how to do things, unbelievable

    Will not let me log in, my WiFi is constantly going down, it only allows me to reboot and it takes about 20 minutes. "oops! Something went wrong. Please reload the page and try again" is all I can ever get. Extremely frustrating when I can't even use the "chat with us" feature when it times out anymore.

    Sure you pay low fees because its limited but what good is it when its constantly disconnecting. Kids in the middle of school, disconnect. Me in the middle of a zoom meeting, disconnect. Watching a new release that weve been waiting for, disconnect. It ruins the moment. Its frustrating. Shouldnt have to deal with this daily.

    Horrible customer service. I have had this provider for a total of 2 months and have had to call or visit the store 3 times and still I do not have the correct equipment. Charged by technician visit 70 dollars. I signed up for HDDVR service and only had DVR space for 20 shows. Called and was told I needed different boxes so I went to the store and swapped only to find out they were not dvr boxes. I will be going back to my satellite provider.

    Suoer easy to use. System tries to repair itself with easy to answer questions on the app. If it can't troubleshoot that way, chatting with an expert is literally a click away while still using the app. No more waitomg on hold during "normal buisness hours" all day. Best provider I've ever had as far as wireless internet goes!

    90% of what this app does is just link you to the website, save yourself the trouble and just save a shortcut to the website. Although if you've ever been to the xfinity website you probably already know your chances of getting what you need there are also slim.

    Like that you can "kill" devices and put limits on members of your family but the incredibly vague usage chart is not only inaccurate but basically useless. Personally I would like too see a more defined chart with a precise timeline and a precise usage definition. Instead you gave us a 12 hour span axis that is unreadable and a usage axis that is inaccurate and vague. Be better

    The app is a bit slow. It isn't currently accurate when saying a device it on the wifi and it actually isn't on. And when I pause devices it currently doesn't pause them and when pause works it signs phones all the way out, to the point it's hard for them to sign back in again. Other than that it's okay to know what devices logged in. And organize them.

    After ~3 years using this app it's made tremendous strides toward usability and taken good care to cater to the layman & automation of policing ones network with Advanced mode. Those with the necessary knowledge can retain a fair amount of control by leaving that setting off. Xfinity earns its 5th start from me for granting my request (& probably many others) with the advent of security cameras designed & manufactured specifically for their newest gateways.

    Hell no am I taking my router off of bridge mode to connect to this app. Thanks, but no thanks. Your routers are great for decoration and piping a signal through, and that's it. Not going to happen. Ever.

    When trying to troubleshoot it runs you in a circle without allowing you to access any other part of the app or giving you a way to chat with support. Very frustrating when my modem won't work and I get a message there are no outages.

    Supposed to detect people and vehicles, but usually doesn't know the difference in the two. And sometimes someone could walk right up my driveway and to my front door and it doesn't detect them at all. And yes I have all the settings correct.

    Xfinity service is steadily declining as their prices are steadily increasing. Each of my previous 4 bills have increased by $3-6 with no explanation from Xfinity. When I requested to terminate my services for poor reception, frequent outages, and poor customer service I was told I would receive an early termination charge. If there is another internet provider in your area go with them and avoid Xfinity/Comcast.

    Slow and sometimes inaccurate. Dropped another star. Speed continues to be unpredictable and this app is even worse. If I could give it negative stars I would. The app rarely works and when it does it crawls slower than a friggin turtle. I always gets stuck then I have to continuously restart the app.

    Please explain how I am pausing a device, it can still be used? If I have it off line - then how can the WiFi be used? I cannot understand how that happens. So what is the point of using this? Also, all these great things, bill goes up and yet - THEY DO NOT WORK!!!!

    Why does this have to be done from a mobile app now ? Xfinity goes out of there way to make things difficult for their customers. Way to go Xfinty. One star is actually more than they deserve but there was no lower option. The app does not work. The app now says I need Xfinity internet to use.

    The advanced gateway and pods started strong, but now have issues maintaining a connection. This app is helpful about half of the time and, even then, can only offer rudimentary diagnostics. Unplugging and plugging in the device followed by waiting is as good as it gets.

    I can't stay logged in!! Every time I go to app I get an error message saying trying again which never works. Now every time I wanna pay or check my bill I have to log in which hasn't started until recently.

    Have been trying for 4 months now to get my box to work. Instructions on website send you to the app, the app has no where that I can find to activate anything. Asking for help with it sends you to billing eventually and no real person actually comes on to assist. My TV is still not working after dozens of phone calls.

    This app is constantly logging me out of the account then the motion sensor for the home security is pointless. So have to keep logging in and then it works for maybe a few hours to a day if I'm lucky.

    Two many glitches. Used to be good. Now everytime I want to access my connected devices through the tab, it constantly freezes and comes up with a try again message. It's annoying.

    Horrible app! Does not communicate properly with my router causing pausing to not work effectively. Have to reset the modem every time I want to unpause a device. Very frustrating and Xfinity hasn't been able to fix it.

    Lose connection from my modem and nothing the app can do to fix it. They tell me to use the app to troubleshoot but it can't trouble shoot if it's not connected. Xfinity customer service is also not very helpful.

    DOWNGRADE to 1 STAR: The whole section of this app where you control users, devices and their downtime has become progressively slower is usually a blank screen now. Decided to buy my own cable modem now and just control that kind of thing from there instead of relying on this app.

    Loved the app, love the features. Then very recently started having issues with it force stopping. Somedays I can open the app no issues, others it takes multiple attempts for it to open without closing or it takes forever to load. Other days it won't open at all.

    Can't connect new gateway, it doesn't even try. I put in the cm mac address and without a microsecond of thought it just says "can't find it". Go figure, something else from Comcast that doesn't work.

    I have to constantly change my password. I keep my passwords carefully logged in a special place, so I don't problems. I am always having to enter a new password not once but 2 or 3 different times.

    Needs another update...everytime I open the app, it just sits on the loading screen. Occasionally it loads to the home/overview screen, but when you tap on "connect" or any other option, it goes back to the blank loading screen.

    The app is very slow, and doesn't always work. Frequently I have to exit and try again. The features within the app are helpful when they work, but I'd say it needs a major overhaul.

    After they updated the app it rendered it about worthless. Xfinity deleted all of my connected Google devices and provide no option to re-add them back. I really have no other reason to use this app and I am not buying xfinity promoted devices to replace my Google devices.

    They made the app required to activate your modem. Previously you could do it in 5 minutes on a laptop with an ethernet cord. Took 25 minutes mostly of waiting for xfinity to "find my device"

    Avoid Comcast and all of its products and services if you have ANY other viable options. There is no service after sale. None. Don't ask. I have the most complete, most expensive home package available including security. It is all junk. Wifi? Xfi Complete. Same service and signal as basic wifi. No difference. Thank heaven I'll have another option soon.

I'm too scared to cancel my subscription and go to AT&T or Dish bc of how much I need my TV. I need a phone, alarm and a couple of cable outlets and not been able to get either.

My brother was recieving 149 for wifi speed while mine was only remastering 72 wifi speed!??? This whole ordeal has my upset.... When we signed up for the bundle...I was told he was giving my higher wifi speed....HE LIED!! AND WE WERE SUPPOSED TO RECEIVE OUR 3 BOXES A WEEK AGO TOMORROW STILL DON'T HAVE THEM....     This is my first time ever paying for internet. I like that I can monitor my usage, I just don't like that one device that's connected to my TV continues to use the internet when I'm not streaming anything on HDM, simply because the TV is on. This device was included as a 30 day trial, so I won't have to remember to keep pausing that device each time I want to watch regular TV. I gave a 5 because the excellent customer service made up for this.

    Have had nothing but problems with Comcast for the last 15 years. The hardware is subject to shunting-out of signal due to us being at the end of the service leg. I had them install a signal booster (amplifier) about five or six years ago, which solved the signal strength issues until it rains and then the signal strength drops again. Has been OK for the last few years, but now we are having problems with WiFi signal losses as everyone else is complaining about. Installed a WiFi signal amplifier for the WiFi, which helped for a while, but then began losiing WiFi again. Routed CAT5 cable to all of our computers and to our TVs and problem went away for those units. Still having problems with our Tablets, Alexa's and Laptops. The reason I stay with Comcast is because they seem to be the only Internet service available in our area. Would like to modify our hot water recycling system with a smart plug to save money on hot water pump use, but would have to install another WiFi signal booster in the basement at >$100.00 per unit. As soon as a worthy competitor comes along, we are gone!

    Moved same apartments but different building and was told, just move modem and you good. Customer rep cons me to upgrade. Once I upgrade, he then tells me a professional install is required. I tell him, it's ok. Put me back in old settings and I'll move modem. He goes on and on and cannot put account to old ways. Now, it's been a week and 2 visits to xfinity office and no service. They just want to charge me 100 install fee. I'm one angry customer now. Emails back and forth and no service.

    I like this app, as am able to have direct troubleshooting with my internet service, and xfinity assistant is no doubt what our world is all about. As the assistant really get to work, solving various problem. Paying your bill is a snap, as we all know When those bills are not paid on time late fees and service disconnection are a moment away. But this app prioritize every aspect of my experience and paying those bills on time. kudos to xfinity App.

    Plus: Parental controls are decent. I use the weekday and weekend schedules. I can see how much time an individual spent using the wifi. Negative: Too many times the app doesn't work. It says "try again." If I cannot get into the app, I cannot "wake up" my children's devices. For one particular child of mine, I often take away all of his internet time until I see that he's correctly done all of his school work. More often than not, when I go to give him back internet time, the app doesn't work.

    Doesn't work on a brand new StraightTalk Lg Stylo 5, won't even load to the login page. Just says "please connect to the internet via WiFi or cellular data", regardless of whether I am connected to my wifi, the Xfinity hotspot, or my data (or have both on to switch seamlessly). Is fine on husband's Stylo5 (Cricket), half hour with Xfinity phone support did nothing except told to call LG.

    With the new data caps, you have no means of letting me throttle devices in my house, no means of showing me what kind of access I could be blocking, and no means of showing me exactly how much data a device is using. That aside, the app hangs a lot and sometimes decided my gateway is down when it is not.

    The idea is good... Very spotty perfotmance. One of the main features I want this for is to pause and unpaired devices. 60% of the time that function doesn't work on my Android phone. It NEVER works when I log in on a web browser.

    The app is glitchy. I had to install it yesterday to get my internet to work. Was forced to "re-activate" my internet that I've had over 2 years. And, now, the app is telling me that it can't be used with "voice-only" services, when I'm trying to sign in for my 2nd modem. The app won't even allow me access to see the modem that I just re-activated yesterday. This is highly frustrating.

    My son has difficulty going to school from home ever since Covid 19 began to disrupt our lives. He is 17, with little interest in school even before the pandemic began. With this app I am able to control what devices get Wi-Fi and when. Now he is unable to do his schoolwork from his bed. His school provided laptop stays on, forcing him to use it for his studies. I control how much Wi-Fi time he gets so he is not sitting in front of his Xbox all weekend and does not get it at all on school days.

    App locks up often. I have to sign in all the time, does not save logon into. When it works it works fine, but when it locks up which is daily it is such a hassle to "wake up" devices. The app does not pause devices when scheduled. I am not happy with this app

I've checked everything, including the Roomba and I can't figure out the threat it keep telling me I get. Needs to be a little more precise.     This app is pretty much useless. Especially since Xfinity can't manage to provide any kind of service or any troubleshooting help. Clearly we have a very different understanding of the definition of troubleshooting! Also, after several tries, I was able to pause a device. Then, I wasn't able to unpause it for 3 days because this joke of an app wouldn't load! Just kept giving me "that didn't go as planned" nonsense. You have to have Wifi these days and Xfinity knows it, so they don't give a damn!

    Comcast SUCKS! Everytime I sign on and tried to activate my wifi modem SBG6580 and ended up on "download xfinity app" site. I ALREADY HAVE THE APP. Its going no where and unable to get it activated. My son called and they helped to activated. Still doesnt work! I uninstalled and reinstalled the app still getting "download app" site! I NEED help I relied on video phone for hearing impaired! I even tried chat on comcast site and it said we'll call you. COME ON this is not friendly!
