Visible Body’s Human Anatomy Atlas is the most anatomically accurate 3D atlas of the male and female human body, with over 4,600 structures in each model (male and female). This app also includes additional content not available in other 3D anatomy apps: microanatomy models of senses and over a dozen free patient education animations.

Human Anatomy Atlas is the worldwide gold standard in Anatomy reference apps. More colleges and universities teach with Human Anatomy Atlas than any other 3d atlas.

What makes Visible Body’s Human Anatomy Atlas the worldwide best-seller?

**Expertly developed and reviewed for accuracy.

Our 3D models and animations are created by biomedical visualization experts with advanced degrees from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Yale University, University of Texas, and others.

**The most comprehensive anatomy definitions and explanations of common pathologies.

Includes pronunciations and Latin names. No other 3D atlas on the market provides this much additional description of each anatomical structure. Other competitors source content from Wikipedia. Our definitions are expertly written and reviewed by anatomy professors. The descriptions of common pathologies are from the NIH database.

Medgadget calls the graphics “nothing short of breath-taking." ( Ranked #1 by iMedicalApps! "Rarely does an app come along and knock my socks off. . . Ideal for students and teachers of anatomy, as well as for patient education." ( AMI Award of Excellence.

**Easy to use.

The interface of Visible Body’s Atlas provides fast access to 3d models, the ability to edit, and to share. Access views for all twelve systems from one home screen. Edit any view by quickly adding entire systems or individual structures. Email images. Share 3D model views with other users of Atlas for iPad/iPhone. Create notecards to use in presentations or for studying.

**In-app purchases provide the option to expand the anatomy atlas to include:

(1) 3D moving models that show common muscle actions (2) additional 3D bone models that detail landmarks (3) detailed information about muscle attachments (origins and insertions), and physiology and pathology animations that are ideal for patient education or undergraduate students.

Had to reinstall and lost all my saves because artery and vein colors got all screwy. Arteries were black and hard to see. I spent 20 bucks on this. Its fixed now but it sucks I had to lose all my saves. I guess I should get the new 2020 version

  2. guest-avatar

2020 I loved this app. Then it quit working. It freezes up on the logo page upon first opening. It would be great to have this functioning again so I can continue recommending it to students.

  3. guest-avatar

tum The app has been very helpful in my A&P class, I wish that there was a way that I could test myself on the parts I added on to the app

  24. guest-avatar

    excellent program amazing information

  25. guest-avatar

I am really satified with this app

  26. guest-avatar

    good for learning

  27. guest-avatar

Would have given 5 stars but support never responded to my question as to the availability of a trial version. Would be nice if the "Full Screen" button at the lower right corner wouldn't show up on screen captures. Please replace the "Rate Us" button with the another button once a review has been posted. No need for it after the rating has been given is there? Please fix the menu buttons so they are not transparent. Selecting or rotating things on the pallette beneath the button is not desirable.

  28. guest-avatar

The application is good. It still needs improvement. I'm probably going to end up buying all the expansions of the body. I understand the creator worked hard to make this application also took his time so I'm not upset about the expansion packages you need to buy in order to experience the full Atlas. My problem is when it comes to the tools you can't erase the spots you have drawn on. [If their is a way to do that I haven't found it] it needs more drawing creativity. I give it a 4 star.

  29. guest-avatar

I love this app. Such an awesome tool. One thing I do wish, unless I'm doing something wrong is for it to read out loud the descriptions. But I love it. I guess the only way you won't like this is if you're some stick in the butt Dr. That doesn't want patients to know too much to try to diagnose their own issues. But it's worth the money.

  30. guest-avatar

I bought this to study anatomy in university. It is very helpful and had almost as much information as an anatomy textbook! There is an issue with the ulna styloid process (in-app purchase) where it has 2 coronoid processes instead. Also it is missing the posterior interosseous artery. Still, amazing and surprisingly high resolution!

Maybe I'm just a dummy but I can not do anything of what the pictures show... this is so hard to work with I have no time to figure this out.. I bought it as a study tool but it's not helping at all... my focus is in my class and this is just for people that have lots of time to figure out or more money to spend... I don't I wish to get my money back it was way too expensive for what it "gives"

  32. guest-avatar

This would seem to be the best human anatomy app on the market right now, and is quite incredible. It can be a bit cumbersome to navigate, both the search menus and the image positioning, but I think they've done an incredible job considering the complexity of the task. Would also like to see a bit more visual detail added over time, but I also know they are constantly tweaking and updating. Keep up the good work

  33. guest-avatar

I find it very helpful. At one point I had too many sources and that did not help. I narrowed it down to this app plus two text books, and this is working great. The only drawback is you can't get to the specifics of, say, the scapula. So that's where the text books come in.

  34. guest-avatar

So lame, that even after I bought extension for bone land marks, that when I click on insertions and origins of muscles it only names the bone... Plz fix and will rate higher stars. Also would love to hide muscle during animations.

  35. guest-avatar

Tends to lag on android. I have it on a galaxy s7 and a galaxy tablet and it doesn't work well on either. Hard to zoom and maneuver. Hard to select things. Drop boxes always get in the way. The extra apps are not worth the money either. But the only other decent option is 3d4medicals app which works much better but doesnt have options for male and female anatomy which is totally unacceptable for anyone in the medical field.

  36. guest-avatar

Excellent for studying muscles, bones, and innervations. Wonderful for visual learners. However, missing important bony landmarks even in the bone expansion (also purchased). It is frustrating to read that a muscle attaches to a specific part of a protuberance, tubercle, or tuberosity, and not be able to identify the specific location of the bony landmark.

  37. guest-avatar

The app needs to improve in accuracy of finer branches of nerves arteries and veins and their accurate relation. It will be very helpful to pain interventionlists.Foramen ovals is not visible, nerves to cervical or other facets joints are. It correct. In nutshell after brainstorming you need to cater chronic pain physians.

  38. guest-avatar

Things I could recommend: Have a suggested views page where you have preset views for some things. Like abdominal cavity, where some things are faded away already. Maybe create an online environment where people could contribute presets views. Paying for extra content is kind of of harsh, especially for specific bone landmarks. Maybe include some schematic diagrams for nerves and vessels and lymph to aid in learning branching patterns. Include inter-organ ligaments as well.

  39. guest-avatar

I give it 10 stars!!! The most awesome, powerful, intelligent, breathtaking app I have ever seen. I wish we had this program when I was in medical school. As an orthopedic surgeon I can use this app to simulate performing a difficult surgery. The bony anatomy is exquisite. It is amazing what computers can do. Loren Nichols, M.D.

  40. guest-avatar

By far the best anatomy app on android . Needs some improvement in bone details (tubercles, fossas , etc) . It will be great to have a cross platform licence. It's a bit unfair to purchase it again for my windows pc .

  41. guest-avatar

    Flemming Hansen

So I have to pay *again* to get a more robust 2017 version? 1 Star for lousy treatment of longtime customers who allready has made lots of in-app purchases.

  42. guest-avatar

This is a good app with several needed improvements. 1. For whatever reason it downloads the atlas data file into the primary storage. In earlier versions it asked about storage location and had the option for the SD card. 2. The font in explanations is unreadably small on my tablets and there is no way to increase it, which makes the app much less usable and takes away significant educational value. The font is good on the phone screen though.

  43. guest-avatar

This program is spectacular. I’ve had several versions of it over the past few years. The 2017 version is the best yet. I have it on my Android phone and my Windows desktop computer (separate versions). I got it for my 16-year-old daughter’s Mac and my 5 and 7-year-old grandchildren’s iPad. They each get a lot out of it even though it is college level stuff. You can see all parts of the body, how they fit together and, their names (which I didn’t pay much attention to at the start). With the 2017 version you see all the muscle attachments and corresponding spots on the bones, and animations of muscle movements. Whenever I have a sore part of my body, I look at Human Anatomy Atlas to see which muscles, bones, cartilage, etc. are involved, what nerves are there and blood vessels. This program is a real bargain. It might seem a lot to people used to getting free apps but when you get it you’ll be glad you did. These people do a great job of presenting this material and the cost is cheap.

  44. guest-avatar

Sometimes contradicts itselfs. The muscle and bone details are awesome, but for neuroanatomy for example, it leaves much to be desired. You should make a paid add-on for nervous system, I'd buy it.

  45. guest-avatar

Great app, however just recently an update has led to an undesirable effect. When a region is selected, the color turns black, it used to show Blue which was much easier to the decipher from the objects around it. Selected black object are especially difficult to see when it has to veins and nerves as they are brown to begin with.

  46. guest-avatar

Love it, very helpful but the quizzes for the upper limbs is just another quiz for the hands. For the price I would expect the quiz to be what it says. Only used the Skelton portion of it. I also bought the detailed portion of the app. That is awesome!!

  47. guest-avatar

I purchased the visible body atlas and brought. Almost all the videos now you got a 2014 version. I believe everyone that paid for visible body should get that upgrade for free.

  48. guest-avatar

This app is truly amazing. I don't usually take the time to rate apps, but I feel this one was wortht. This app was a life saver to me throughout my anatomy classes. Definitely worth the money.

  49. guest-avatar

I have powerful phone but zooming in the app is bad, any other views is no problem. Selecting an anatomy part highlights it BLACK! Horrible. The extra media videos should be free and included in purchase. I purchased a few but I'm put off having to pay extra for such a simple feature. There needs to be more updates addressing bugs. The developer should never charge for updated releases. I will leave them.

  50. guest-avatar

Very good app.. superficial description about muscles and bones but i purchased mainly for the nerve and the blood supply as well as the muscle attachments... also need to say priced a little bit higher.....

  51. guest-avatar

Please update the app for note 5. The definitions, bread crumb trailc and others on the left very seldom work. It always thinks I'm selecting something in the background. It's a great app, just frustrating when I can't access the additional info on things like muscles.

  52. guest-avatar

Love the adaptability of this app. So many functions. My perfect study buddy. Would be great if i could save notes for future reference. Dropping pins that when i touch later come back to the notes or drawing that i have created

  53. guest-avatar

It's broken for me. When I open the app there is a white rectangle on the top screen and the app never loads. But besides this issue the app is amazing. Wonderful 3d viewing. And great for learning.

  54. guest-avatar

Im in love!!! As a physio I use this app so often its not even funny. This upgraded version on my new Samsang S6 has me drooling... 😃

  55. guest-avatar

It's a beautiful and customizable app. Good info and ability to add and subtract layers is very helpful. Being able to save a section of the anatomy that I customized to create a teaching image is excellent. I would suggest in the future to be able to articulate the skeleton so even more angles of the body can be observed with the different systems.

  56. guest-avatar

Fantastic app overall. Would love to see an add on module for pressure points and meridians. Navigation is A little clumsy at times, such as re-enabling hidden parts.

  57. guest-avatar

09/18/2015 Review: The latest version no longer works on my Samsung Galaxy SIII running Android OS 4.3. It gets to the init screen then exits back to launcher after about 10 seconds. Clearing cache and data did not help. I also tried an uninstall and reinstall to no avail. Please fix. 10/05/2015 Update: 2 weeks later, still no fix!

  58. guest-avatar

It's a good app but i'm using on my phone and it is incredibly fiddly due to the smaller screen, therefore I don't tend to use it. I just tried installing on my laptop but found that I can't. Frustrating.

3 years ago I bough Anatomy & Physiology visible body version 1.4.00. I was looking for that version for my mobile. I wonder if it was necessary to buy this one today.

With the complexity of an actual human body... This app actually helps to develop a basic knowledge of what is expected to be found where.... though a hefty price... This app is as good as any other book at this price

A glitch in software makes Samsung Note 3 to shut off cell phone. Hopefully will get taken care off soon.

  62. guest-avatar

A few months ago a lot changed with an update. A lot of information was removed, and it is waaaay more difficult to navigate. You have a lot less freedom of what you want to see, and it is terrible. Change it back to the way it was PUUULLLEAAASSE!!!!

  63. guest-avatar

Awesome app for med students. The new version includes disorders & diseases relevent to the anatomy. I'd recommend it highly. 2nd year M.B.B.S

  64. guest-avatar

Stopped working after update. Would like a refund as I had to buy 2017 version to keep relevant information available for clients

  65. guest-avatar

    Lindsay Sharkey

I would have rated this a 5, however after a recent update, I now find it harder to pin-point [immediately] exactly what I'm looking for. As a therapist, I'm constantly referring to this app to answer my own questions as well as assisting my clients with information. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking anatomy information.

The whole anatomy in 3D on your phone. It is still perfectible, but I give it 5* for services given. I use it weekly for my job. Would need a way to do sections. And extract 3D-printable files. But hey... The most expensive app in my phone but worth every penny.

  67. guest-avatar

Have had for 2-3 years. Use it often. There is no better anatomy app out there.

  68. guest-avatar

    Hrishikesh Kadam

There is no direct exit option. After touching any organ it becomes blue so as it becomes difficult to differentiate between that blue colored organ and veins which are already in blue color. My suggestion is after touching any organ the color should become green.

  69. guest-avatar

I use this all of the time to show my athletes what parts of the body are acting up and give them a better understanding of the anatomy they are working with

  70. guest-avatar

Still LOVE this app. Use it almost daily in my physio practice.

  71. guest-avatar

Impossible to launch the app since I have a Samsung S7 edge with Marshmallow installed. I don't know where comes from the problem. Thank you to help me.

  72. guest-avatar

I'm referring back to this app more than anything I reference. Quick easy view of what I need to remember.

  73. guest-avatar

    Thomas Pedersen

been using old version that no longer worked. this is so much better plus more detail including bursa

  74. guest-avatar

This is a great app so far but there are some errors in the fore arm. Particularly the posterior interoseous and superior and inferior ulna collateral arteries are missing

  75. guest-avatar

Not perfect but so far the best I could find for my note 4

  76. guest-avatar

I have been following Visible Body for years, even back when online memberships were free, and though I only use the models for anatomy study for drawing, the detail and 3d access is an incredible tool. Thank goodness artists don't have to dissect cadavers anymore to study anatomy.

  77. guest-avatar

Downloaded the app for my tablet, works great. Downloaded it to my Android and it won't open?!? When I have my tablet I love this app but since I dont always have it and can't use it with my phone im dropping my rating to a 3 of 5.

  78. guest-avatar

After updating Nexus6P to Android N, structures etc turned black. After uninstalling the app then re-installing, the app freezes on load up on the blue screen.

  79. guest-avatar

This Was My First Purchase From Visible Body Back In 2013. I've Since Purchased Several More Of Their Programs And Now Find These To Be Indispensable. Wonderful Products!

  80. guest-avatar

Perfect for learning and educating. I really like the images and videos. I use the app almost daily in a PT outpatient private practice.

  81. guest-avatar

Color scheme has changed for the worse. Everything very dark now, arteries more or less black. Almost unusable now. Google Pixel XL

  82. guest-avatar

LOVE the app & additional options. Hate that it drains the battery though

  83. guest-avatar

This app is incredibly helpful. If you are taking any anotomy class this can be the difference of sort of understanding the material and actually having an idea of how the parts of the body fit into each other. 11/10

  84. guest-avatar

Best out there by far but kinda pricey. A good kinetic chain diagram with levels of activation at each phase of gait would be awesome.

  85. guest-avatar

I can literally peel one muscle away at a time and get a true spatial understanding of what goes where. Plus the innervation, blood supply, origin and insertion are given. Legit for on the go anatomy studying.

I use this app on regular basis - just to track my various workout related pains and aches.

  87. guest-avatar

I've always been a curious person, this app is amazingly detailed and takes my curiosity for a ride. I love learning.

  88. guest-avatar

This app is what I was looking for. It's so useful to a massage therapist to understand how muscles involved in body actions and health issues.

  89. guest-avatar

I wish anatomy was as simple previously as made by this app now... Details of brain including various nuclei may be improved and updated.

  90. guest-avatar

Investigate what might be hurting in 3D full color. Excellent for exploring basic anatomy. Highly recommended.

  91. guest-avatar

Some details are not there but great for beginner anatomy learners. Very useful.

  92. guest-avatar

Wish more items available without more $ but not bad for my current needs.

  93. guest-avatar

Thank you so much for creating this app. Really helps clarify a lot of things for me in a very intuitive way. PTA student.

  94. guest-avatar

After some months just doesn't open anymore on the tablet... No solution provided for months of requests....

  95. guest-avatar

It is excellent but after last updates exit from app became more complicated and difficult .... please put an exit or quit botton.... pleeeeeaze

  96. guest-avatar

I had really great hopes for this program ....actually the graphics are phenomenal...i have paid for all the extra videos but most of times the videos won't play which is sooooo annoying.... please fix...

  97. guest-avatar

The lag is killing me I cant move with the guy barely when I press something it takes 7 seconds to show I use a samsung 10.1 and believe thatmthe device isnt the problem when everything else runs fine I spent about 30 euros for an extension with an older version everything was fine and now this like seriosuly ??? Also I would like to know how I can transfer it to my notebook 5 stars when fixed or replied

  98. guest-avatar

Use this professionally every day. Great for showing clients. Has some faults but in general very good.

  99. guest-avatar

This app is information rich and is recomended if you want a mobile guide to the human body! I think that this is great for only $15.

When is the play store getting the latest edition of these apps? I do not care for investing into Apple products.
