I've been playing the game for a over a year now, and there is such a high level of inconsistency between banners, rate ups, purchase bundles. Paid banners are very misleading and they purposely play on words/descriptions to trap players. Non paid banners for new or old characters are so inconsistent. Sometimes you get challenge boards, sometimes is a pity, sometimes rates are higher. I'm getting tired of Gumi changes their plans from week to week. It's frustrating and very disappointing.

Played for over a year, as light spender. Graphics and Gameplay are great, heavily inspired by FFT. This is definitely a very slow burn game, with auto battle. Gacha system is borderline predatory, they frequently change how banners work, and not for the better. It has become increasingly expensive and less generous. Pulls for characters have very poor rates on even banner characters, and expect to take months to Max any non event character. Has potential, but going in wrong direction.

  3. Gerardo Gonzalez Vargas-avatar

    Gerardo Gonzalez Vargas

Great FFT style game. Great FF7 event. Amazing art and characters. But the summoning banners after that are very predatory and the free visiore is very low. I dont mind spending a few bucks to pull for the unit I want, but the prices are really high, and there is no "good bundle" to choose, which makes getting a lvl120 unit very very hard and expensive.

Regarding methods for obtaining new units, most of the positive changes Gumi has been making on unit releases are being gradually undone. Banners in most recent event are now primarily money driven. Step banners, banner incentives (material tickets), and all bonuses are now purchased via in-game currency and real money bundles are rising in price. This is the road to ruin in these games. Tread carefully, players.

I've been playing this game since day one because I loved the original Final Fantasy Tactics. I really enjoy the gameplay, but the monetization has recently become overbearing. Between three overlapping limited banners with 4 exclusive units and now the Halloween "event" being 90% paid banners with terrible pity rates and with no banner for last year's Halloween units, I'm definitely feeling like my money will be better spent on other games.

  6. Pascal Villeneuve-avatar

    Pascal Villeneuve

The game itself is quite nice for those who seek a grind, but the monetisation by itself ruins everything. Low rate, badly worded, predatory gachas which become worse and worse, making it incredibly hard to play without whaling, a rank based prestige system whose perks are mostly based around giving you more currency costing refreshes, inciting you to spend even more. And the Japanese version is treated way better than the global one. This is simply a disgusting way to treat customers.

  7. Gabe Gardner-avatar

    Gabe Gardner

Crazy how there still is an amazing game in here somewhere. But it is trapped under a mire of constant character banners and paid options. Ridiculous how little the developers care to make things easy on people not willing to spend a bunch of money for a single character. Every 5 seconds theres a new character giving the previous character and the player zero time to breathe. The fact that the guaranteed UR went from 6x to 21x 10 pulls is ludicrous and predatory. Don't even bother with this game

  8. Matthew Tithof-avatar

    Matthew Tithof

It seems after the FFVIIR collab the game has become more greedy and have taken away banners that are more player friendly. On top of that there have been a lot of limited units released within a short period of time and while it's understandable to not be able to pull all of them, even trying to pull some is a challenge, let alone maxing them since the level increase. To add to that the amount of free vis has gone down in recent months.

  9. Jai See-avatar

    Jai See

The game is fun and I love the Final Fantasy audio but I have no choice and give the game a one star. The game crashes all the time. I thought it was just me and got a tablet thinking it would be better then the phone; it's slightly better but the crashing has not stop or decreased. I looked up this issue and from what others have said the game is just broken. I hear the devs are working on the but have been unsuccessful for years. It's to bad because it has great potential.

  10. Hazel G-avatar

Week one player and occasional spender. Direction of game in recent months has been disappointing. Much less generous, much worse banners. So hard to max a character I have to plan months in advance and can only afford to pull every now and then. Yes, it's a gacha but it's way worse now than it was six months ago.
