It won't save changes or create a new alarm. It resets to centigrade after each use. It won't keep warm when lifting and replacing the kettle on the base sometimes. It resets last temperature used sometimes. Need lots of improvements

Works great, easy to use. Had no trouble at all setting it up, and connecting with the kettle was easy and quick (unlike some reviewers). Would have been a 5 star review, but docked one star as I cannot get the notifications to work, and the interface is not as intuitive as it could be.

This app used to work great. Friday I went to start my coffee and the app had reset and disconnected from my coffeemaker. I assume it "upgraded". I cannot get it to reconnect. I am beyond frustrated. I have emailed and tweeted smarter support with no response. Please help!! Update: Smarter support resolved my issue and I can once again make my excellent fresh ground coffee from bed. If only there was an app to bring me some when it was done.

NOTE: None of this is from a caffeine deprived person.... If I could give this a zero star rating I would!! Coffee maker disconnected from home network weeks ago and after multiple factory resets, account resets and just trying to not throw the thing through a wall, it STILL will not reconnect to my home network!! Complete and total disappointment with an overpriced coffee maker that doesn't deliver on it's advertised promises!

Completely useless. Do not waste your time and money on any "Smarter" products. I wasted both trying tirelessly for hours trying to connect my gen 2 coffee maker. It only works on 2.4 GHz and can't differentiate the difference between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz so I disabled my 5 GHz and still a no go. Not so smart. A smart coffee machine that can't connect to WiFi? Really?!?

Can only use 1 phone at a time. Not a multi-user app, and I wouldn't call that very "network-friendly". Alarm turns on unit and will warm the water, but does not make any alarm sound to wake me. I have to set my phone's alarm.

It (iKettle 3rd gen) doesn't maintain the temp settings. It keeps reverting to factory preset temps (32°F). The notifications don't work, and the temp is usually wrong (based on my thermocouple) and it often reports a temp of >212°F (a physical impossibility). I'm very disappointed in the app, and a bit disappointed in the kettle (there's no way to monitor the water level unless you launch the app or stick your nose into the opening in bright light).

wow. The concept was genius.. the execution of this app is horrendous. I normally dont write negative reviews because the dev did a better job creating an app than I could, but this thing is abysmal.. I got it to where I can control it through Google and I hope to never open this app again. Yes.. its THAT bad.

The kettle seems to work well. The app is really straight-forward and the interface is easy to use. The only drawback I can see is that the temperatures are in °C. That's probably user error on my part. I've spent years abroad, so it's a non-issue for me. But I'd imagine other Americans might have trouble with it.

had some issues with connect and getting the USA 120 minute update. make sure you email support to get the update. Amber and support crew worked out the issues and we are very happy. system works flawless. tied into 3 google home for voice commands.
