Don't know if it's software or hardware issue, the fact is that it's the worst expensive accessory I've ever bought. Constant and random disconnections, inconsistent notification sounds, buttons randomly unable to work, terrible. UPDATE: I add one more star, because it seems that I made it work. The two last firmwares are to blame. I downgraded to firmware 1.4.A.1.9 and now it seems to be working fine. The app itself keeps prompting me to update my firmware, but I just won't!.. The fact that I made it work does not mean that I like the device. The whole downgrading procedure is not that simple and should not have happened in the first place.

Useful battery life info. The app is limited by the dual functions of the buttons on the device. To use the unit fully you must look at the display, something that is inconvenient or even dangerous at times. I just need t ro control my audio apps reliably, but sometimes it is stuck in a mode that prevents me from navigating my audio, and I haven't learned how to know when the modes change without studying the display.

--- ---- Update --- If you set it to Autostart, then it would be able to receive notifications and would also show the text messages from sms and what'sapp as well... (One more star :) ) ------------------------------- With Xiaomi Mi6: Its hardly 2 days, while I'm using it with Xiaomi Mi6, and up till now, it works very well, except for two major issues: 1. I can't receive notifications from any app, despite of giving full permissions on phone to this app and apps sending notifications. 2. I can't dial the number from call logs, although call logs are displaying and I can navigate these. One minor issue is, if I play music from Pulsar music app, SBH54 can't display the track details, it only shows MI6 playing. But if I shutdown this app from Mi6, while Pulsar is still playing, device starts displaying the music track information. However, when I changed my music player to Media Monkey along with this app running, device worked fine and displayed the music track information. So it looks like, app is not cooperative with every music player. With LG Nexus 6: However when I used it with LG Nexus 6, SBH54 was able to receive and display notifications. I tried with Google+ and Google Play. Note: I used both phones simultaneously connected... I will update if I find anything else...

the good: no ads, straight forward interface and have nice features on control and setting. the slowdowns: frequent disconnect... software issue or hardware? Can have an update on both? and no Tuner setting card. I know it wasn't easy to be bugs free but these should be resolved with updates in phases. I have deleted this app and disconnect issue solved. So it is due to software bug or incompatibility when using my Galaxy Note 9.

Mixed bag of results. The headset works better without the software. The software makes it disconnect constantly. Some occasional garbling with Spotify, but I don't think it is the device"s fault. The last update is from 2017!!!

A sony product and Software of Amazingly Poor Quality. last update in 2017. frequent disconnection. connects to Apple device by bluetooth but needs this poor quality App for Android! Designers have not thought this through. Really poor customer experience

Works well overall. However it would have been awesome if camera controls were added to it so that I could use it as a camera remote on my android phone. I would be happy if sony includes this feature in a future update

Bad experience with 2 devices connected. Always disconnected. There is no update anymore with bad app and firmware on bluetooth devices.
