Random Variable Generator is a statistical application designed for drawing a random sample from the most common statistical distributions: Normal, Binomial, Uniform, etc. The user can choose the distribution and the size of the random sample and the result is printed on the screen and can be downloaded as a csv file and histogram as bitmap. The application is still under construction and we are working on improving it and adding more statistical distributions. Please send us distributions that you wish to add.

Bug 1: Normal, mean=500000, variance=10, observations=10, Yeah, not the best input.

This educational application enables you to choose a statistical distributions (Binomial, Bernoulli, Normal, Continuous Uniform, Discrete Uniform, Poisson), to set the parameters of the distributions, and to draw a random sample of any size. You can get the results in a table or – even better - to view it in a histogram. This can be useful if you want to visualise how the sample size controls the level of randomness, and how fiddling with the parameters controls the shape of the empirical distribution. Another cool feature is the ability to export your data and send it to any email of your choice.
