First of all video clarity is not up to mark and frequent disconnection even when the signal is good.

App was great. So I used the app for a interview with Sykes. I was asked 11 questions. You get a countdown of about 4-5 seconds then the recorder pops on. HireVue allows you to delete and rerecord your answers to questions which was nice. I didn't get the job at Sykes though. It took me a long time to complete this interview because I was constantly deleting my recorded answers. I wonder if the employer is able to see deleted answers or how many times you've answered a certain question.

No brightness settings to improve the image. And just generally a terrible way to interview people who aren't actors - most people cannot look at a screen and produce a good answer to a question without writing a full script. In addition it robs interviewees of the chance to ask questions themselves and get a feeling for the company. Automation is generally good, but not for interviews.
