An emulator worth the purchase. Every game I have played on here is like using the disc on the PlayStation. Azure Dreams, Bloody Roar II, Breath of Fire IV, Dino Crisis 1 & 2, Brave Fencer Musashi, Clock Tower, Suikoden 1 & 2, Twisted Metal. They all work very well. Better than some emulators out there on PC.

games This application is very good. I playing Harvest Moon (Back To Nature) with this emulator. I like the best one thing in this app that even phone call is coming on playing time, no need to restart for the day from morning. Emulator automatically restored the game current time. . .

download I think that this is a great emulator and worth to spent your money on! Games like Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 2 ran on this emulator well. 60 FPS The only thing that i miss is that i can't edit the layout on the screen, but whatever, i can still play not feeling uncomfortable by the buttons. Tekken 3 Silent Hill Resident Evil 2 (Disc 1 and 2) Resident Evil 3 These are the games i tested and they are doing great. But first, for them to run well, you'll have to install the bios first

apkpure Emulators have come a long way since the 90's. So far all games played are stable and smooth 60fps no audio problems. App could use a few convenience changes to things like setting gamepad inputs while game is already running without having to quit game and change things. A Save/Load State button allocated to gamepad option would rock too. Small gripe, though. Works great. 5 star may still happen after I play a few games without error to completion.

bios Runs just fine but you have to pick the right game, input lag can be trouble for anything that requires precision and I wish I could get analogue working in Gran Turismo 2! No matter what settings or input methods I use the game doesn't want to detect it.

reddit It's a great emulator, my only issue is that it cant be used from a front end because of the save state feature which cant be disabled, everytime I try to load a game from a front end, I get a menu asking if I want to continue with save state or go to menu. Am I missing something? There needs to be a disable option for save state.

mod apk excelent. Best playstation emulator I've ever come across. works on all the games I've tried. I have noticed a bug where sometimes the keys get stuck using a keyboard, but I'm hoping to setup a controller for a better consol experience.

bios free download Absolutely Amazing app. Well worth the money especially since it's PS/Xbox Controller compatible. Let's me play all the games I remember from my childhood and teenage years. Downloading Roms is easy and getting them to work is even easier. Doesn't drain your battery too badly. I can play up to 6 to 7 hours without having to charge my phone. Would recommend to us a SD card because the PS Roms are pretty hefty as far as memory is concerned.. its easy to fill up your phone quickly

cracked apk Some good points, but crashes way too much in the middle of a game if certain cheats are used. The problem is, that it's unclear which ones create the issue, so I can replicate the bug. REALLY needs to sort out the Abe's Odyssey bug, where you can't play because of "unsupported game pad detected".

uptodown Worth every penny most games work ...very rare to find one that won't run in my experience I can play any thing and you can bind a control via USB or probably Bluetooth I use an Xbox 360 wired controller and it works fine ( galaxy note 20 ultra)

Hands down the best ps1 emulator I've had the pleasure of using. Downloads cheats instead of having to type them, toggle frame limit to speed through boring stuff, switch between digital and analog controls, and so much more. Sounds like one of the developers friends posted this, but honestly, I'm just a big fan. Lol

I have To Give 2 star because I cant play Some of The Rom, for example Re3, it some time blackscreen and i have to wait along time to get the loading done. You probably said that it the rom problem, but when i use the other emulator it work fine.

I'm trying to use a PS4 controller, but the configuration isn't working right. I mapped all the buttons, at first the D-Pad was working correctly, but somehow all my other buttons were mismapped. Then I try fixing it again, now all the buttons are correct, but the D-Pad isn't working and it keeps making my use the left joystick to move around. The mapping still shows correct when I go to the configuration screen but not working during gameplay. Really want D-Pad, because some games play better

Good emulation for the PS1 A few things you might want to know about this emulator is that It requires a bios and roms, unless you have an external CD player to hookup with your android device. Some of the games work fine although, if you want to feel more comfortable with this emulator you can use a wire[less] controller via by bluetooth or USB. While some ps1 game titles do support vibration shock for gamepad controllers. The experience of this brought back some great memories.

This app is excellent!! I've played two ps1 games so far and it plays nice! Also there are cheats available that never were for the original game. It's definitely worth it so far. I connect my ps4 controller to my phone through Bluetooth and cast my screen to the tv... It's like playing ps1 games except no cord.

Audio is out of sync on every single game. Half the buttons I press don't register. Pretty useless. Wasted money. Can anyone make a decent effing ps1 emulator!!!!!!

"It just works", has a great interface and features, works with cheats, filters, has cloud saving, and online play. The only reason I don't use it for everything is that it doesn't support Retroachievements, which are neat.

When I first got this app years ago, I loved it. Was a little bit of hastle to fully operate it but nice once it was. Years later downloading this on my tablet has made many childhood games portable to play. It was also easier to use and I would recommend it to other seeking a good PS emulator.

Loved it played old tony hawk until the new one came out. Controls can be mapped and used with either xbox or ps4 cont. Played multiplayer crash team racing. Only took 10 minutes to get third controller set up an mapped for 3 players. Just wonderful.

Hi I'm having issues with the epsxe app. Everytime I select the option change disc the app will crash or the game will just freeze. Can you guys help me out with this? I need this feature to work so that I can play a certain gamr that gives an option to load the save file of it's previous game.

Love it. Had a problem with missing save states and the devs got back to me right away. Great customer support. If I had one gripe, and maybe this is on me for not being able to figure it out, but I can't get it to enable certain special feature buttons on the gamepad. I wanted to enable the fast forward button for some of the old J-Rpgs and it just won't work for me. Still a great app though. Definitely worth the price.

This is nearly perfect ! So many options to choose from, and it all works flawless ! You can save at any time, and load it up. If you accidently close the game, this emulator lets you continue where you left off ! Only tiny problem i have is that i cant move the x o triangle and rectangle buttons and directional buttons seperately.. maybe you can but i havent figured it out yet. This is the only issue for me, you can however resize them, witch is great !! 9.5 out of 10 !!

Works great. Only played 1 game so far but I've been playing it most of the day and it's run perfectly with no issue. Easy to set up a gamepad and I could program unused buttons to system functions like fast forward and quicksaves which is so useful. All in all a great piece of software, and if 10 year old me could see me playing my PlayStation games on a phone I think my head would've exploded 🤣

I've used it for years and i believe that, although not perfect, it's still the best psx1 emulator on the market. And I've used it for more than 11 years. Can't hardly believe that after so long, you guys are still here. Thank you very much, for allowing us to revisit so many good games. Keep up the good work and keep bringing more stability. :) Stay safe, guys.

Works well enough, though some games dont run so smooth. Dunno if its something i can fix, but I hope they make it so stuff gets autodetected and optimized automatically. Making an option to report if a rom runs slow or whatnot consecutively, would be nice.. with some support on how to fix properly. Though with the variety of devices people have, it may be hard to implement as some issues may actually be hardware-related. It would require data collection also I guess.Oh well. Works well enough:)

Works beautifully. An app worth paying for. If your phone has decent specs you're good to go. Add a gamepad and makes it feel like you've got a fully functional PS1 console in your hands. Support for cheaper gamepads is a bit limited but can be overcome by using an app like Shooting Plus V3. Please keep up the good work developers.

Works surprisingly well for my phone. Only thing I wish you could is easily switch ports with ease. Especially with Metal Gear Solid 1 with pyscho mantis. You have to "switch controller ports from port 1 to port 2". Try doing that and couldn't figure it out. Other than that good job on the work. Definitely worth the money.

This is hands down the best PSX emulator. I have the Galaxie S10e and everything runs smooth 60fps with Maxed out graphics settings. I couldn't recommend it enough. One problem I had was my quick save disappeared once I stopped using the emulated bios but I only got to the first mini boss in legend of dragoon so it won't change my score. Amazing work on this app. I am disappointed it isn't free like most emulators on pc though.

Well worth the price being asked for it, do not hesitate if you are into PSX era games. Of course how smooth the games run will also depend on your phone's hardware, but on my Razer Phone 2 I get a smooth 60fps in every games I have tried and with every filters, highest resolution and enhancements that the emulation provides. Runs amazingly well, thanks to ePSXe devs for providing us with this masterpiece of an emulator.

It works really well, I tested with Gran Turismo 2. However, I found weird that I needed to map the buttons for my Dualshock 4, it would be nice to have it already mapped, the buttons were not matching before I did. I found more dead zone on the analog sticks on the ePSXe compared to FPse. I will continue on the FPse for now.

Pretty great! Little buggy on start, the default video settings on my phone don't load up properly but going into the menu and refreshing everything does the trick and I'm not so lazy I can't move my thumbs so I won't dock a star that, however I will for not being able change the button positioning. It bums me out that start and select take up the bottom of the screen, select could easily fit above the d pad and start above the main buttons.

Its a very great ps1 emulator for the price and you can download the roms from a website you need 7zip app to extract file then hit refresh on the psx app. Overall it works great and well and using my elite controller works fine. The screen buttons are fine you just gotta get used to them. You can download cheats directly from this app as well for the game you installed. Not all are there so you might have to input some you want.

Fantastic emulator, took me a while to figure out but worth it. The graphics/display options make the trip down memory lane a lot prettier along with a ton of other adjustable settings from control configurations to game save preferences. Home consoles might get fancier over the years but the ps1 will always be my favourite.

Runs really well, just a couple of gripes. It's fine with a game pad but the touch controls constantly have to be reset because every other time I open this app there's some problem with them. If half of them aren't off screen then the analogue sticks no longer have a dead zo e, leading to accidental in puts and menus that are harder to get past than the game. Also, please display my roms in a neater fashion. All other emulators do it and it's so much handier.

Currently playing RE 3 Nemesis on my Chromebook with a Dual Shock 4 controller and it's working Flawlessly. Using this emulator is better than using the original PS1 because you can configure the settings perfectly with the countless preferences. I have about 10 roms saved, and counting, that I can't wait to get to. I am BEYOND happy with this PS1 emulator.
Super happy fun time

I have a problem where on any game the left button automatically kicks in and anything slides to the left without me touching anything. So for example FF7 cloud auto runs to left or walks around in a circle to the left. On gran turismo the car wheel sticks to the left. I hate this. Been a problem for months now. Guess I have to find a better emulator. Devs don't look at my review or listen.

5-Star app well worth the download. The best thing I have found for playing classic PS1 games. Show the guys making the PS2 emulator for Android how it's done and maybe we can finally get a decent PS2 emulator for Android. Thanks guys! Keep up the good work.

Works great so far. Love being able to play all my old favorites on my phone! My only quibble at this point is that if you go into input settings > select a controller to configure > map axis > gamepad test axis and then hit back, it skips the axis mapping screen and goes back to the controller settings which is a bit obnoxious.

Need help on the memory card setting. The apps always automatically create a new memory card file despite the one that i want to use is a memory card that i used when i am playing the game in my PC (and i copied into my smartphone) and i have opt the option of using memory card file for all games. Btw the memory card that i used have custom name (not the generic SLUS_xxx), i believe if i used the SLUS_xxx it is overwritten. For other gaming experience, overall good.

Great compatibility and several options to customize audio and visual. Would rate 5 star if widescreen issue was fixed. Currently widescreen scales to aspect ratio of phone which is problematic for larger 21.5:9 devices like S10 Lite. Causes a lot of horizontal distortion in games with 2D graphics.

Love having PSX games on my phone. Physical buttons are always better so when I'm not playing an JRPG like FF7 I use my 8bitdo controller. Works very well. I just wished the emulator would save my cheats configuration so I don't have to activate them everytime I reload a game.

I'd say the same as another person commented- very easy to use, games run smooth, saving and loading on point, just needs to let you tweak the controls so that your hands feel comfortable. 9.5/10

Solid Emulator. The default bios are decent enough, and I didn't have to spend an hour of editing options to get games to work like other mobile emulators for the ps1. Loved ePSXe on windows and the sentiment is the same for the mobile version.

Fantastic emulator. No problems so far. A material design UI would perfect it, though. Just because the games are classic doesn't mean the UI has to be right? give it a nice paint job.

Just Amazing, so many memories coming back. Of course the screen controller is not the best to play games but, having a Moga Bluetooth controller and a newer model phone makes the experience just amazing.

You are basically paying for an emulator, barebones with nothing. You will have to get the bios and the ROMs to play the games. Not worth it.

Not one to leave reviews, but I got so fed up with Retroarch's god-awful interface that I decided to pay for this. Could not be happier with the app so far. Will update if I run into any issues, but so far it's definitely worth it.

Great app except I am unable to switch to port two in Metal Gear Solid. If this is patched or if the process can be explained I will switch to five stars. Otherwise the app is flawless. Playing the Android TV version on Nvidia Shield TV.

I got the update and the Ps4 controller support is working great. There is still a little maintenance to be done though. I've seen that if you use the GPU plugin feature there are a few games with textures that are a little out of place or not fully texturized on a certain specific game. I've had a few times using the plugin on Final Fantasy 9 where the *interact symbol* wasn't fully texturized. This could be worth looking into but, other than that its been amazing. Keep up the good work. 😁👍

This is a great app for enjoying the old games. I'm not well versed in technical matters, and didn't understand half of the settings this app allows for customization, but it was a breeze to get playing just as it came. The music is just a bit out of sync, but I'm sure someone more technical than I would have no problem adjusting that. A+ for these devs!

Just like the PC counter part, which is a fantastic PS emulator that i looove using btw, however it is more tweaked for more better ease of use, which IMO on a mobile platform is ideal for non experienced emulator users. Oh and cheats and graphics arent a pain to mess with on the mobile version. They say you get what you pay for but in epsxe's case, its a steal. Easily 5 stars. Oh yeah and did i mention theres not a single ad?

It's really really good, but I have 3 problems as follows: 1- The "map extra functions" isn`t working for the profiles 2,3 and 4, when configured they make any game crash on start (in profile 2, for example, the button 4 configures, but then crashes any game in the start process, when put the game to run); in other profiles the number of defective buttons varies). // 2- When using the "Gamepad Skin Editor" and moving buttons, it;'s hard to know when the buttons are ALIGNED, suggestion: put some indication when the buttons get lined up to other buttons (or make predetermined positions), and the same for resizing buttons, it would be nice to have predetermined SIZES, to put all buttons in the same size. // 3- It did not recognizes a generic gamepad through OTG connection, so I just ordered an Ipega 9076 gamepad, I hope it will recognize it.

I've always LOVED this app. I bought it years ago & every time I upgrade my phone I reinstall. It's the only app that does exactly what it promises in terms of emulation. It has a user friendly interface & the fps and quality on games meant for a console are ported seamlessly to a phone. I am currently playing a game I grew up with & apart from my phone being smaller than my TV screen back then, there is absolutely no difference. I even use my ps4 control with the app every now and then. A+++

Good app. A couple of issues. You can't use the game save on soul reaver (the app save state works so its not a real issue). Can't get out of the first area on tomb raider. No voice acting on resident evil survivor. Small price to pay when you look at all the other games that work flawlessly. You made my invidia shield portable happy. A big thanks to the developer.

Save your money. Don't buy. Bought this because reviews said it was the "most stable" of the PS1 emulators on Android. So far every game I've played has frozen or crashed within the first 10 minutes of play. Don't be scammed out of your money with this one.

Nostalgic. And, well worth what I paid for. This present version is more user friendly, easier to access the files and the bluetooth controls runs much better. Even when l was running it in my old Samsung tab 4, it was running good? But, when l installed it into my new A7 it runs a lot smoother now. Graphics improved a lot even with the first gen games that looked rough in old CRT. Now they look a lot finner and smoother. My complements to the creators. You realy did a good job with this emultor.

Great Emulator. Giving 3 star because I couldn't get the Swap Disc function to work, and yes I looked at different instructions and tried everything I could. The other problem is, there's no way to manage your game list. For example, downloading a ROM that doesn't work. You are now stuck with that dead title in the list unable to delete it from your list. If a delete function could be added and the swap disc fixed, this will be a 5 star app, until then, it's 3 stars.
Steve Johns
2019-01-16T23:32:57.114Z
The only reason it isn't five stars is because if you ever use a Bluetooth pad when you load a game without it, it will insist on hiding the touch pad rather than remembering you've turned the touchpad back on *every* time you load the game even after you've switched the settings back to touch screen, which means *every* time you swap to another app (like web browser) you have to set screen touchpad back on, every. single. time. Besides that it's awesome, just that bug makes it really annoying.

This is truly a great emulator for those wanting to get back into their childhood games, or to discover the old golds! My only complaint is that you're not able to optimize the layout for the buttons. I find that the L1/L2 and R1/R2 triggers are a real pain to reach and I would love to have the ability to shift them to a more accessible location.

Fantastic emulator, does what it says on the tin with minimal setup required. You can find the required ROMs and Bios files with a quick search online, takes minutes to set up. Has a touch screen function but would strongly recommend a physical controller, which can be picked up for approx £10 GBP plus P&P. Runs smooth as silk. Excellent purchase.

This is the best PSX emulator ever. Do not waste your money or time for trying other emulators. Now, as a fan of “Vigilante 8” video game, I couldn’t find out what’s the best video plugins for it. There are so many settings that I can choose from. I recalled that when I selected 2x Internal Resolution, the game look super crisp & clear, however, it become very slow! Wish the ePSXe Team guide me to the best setting.

A great PS1 emulator, very simple to use on android. If you prefer a stand alone emulator for PS1 this is the one for you. If you are using this on PC, it can be tough at first to set up. No you don't have to download a bios from some shady website. If you have your own bios files. Put them in an easy to find folder along with your roms. No weird Settings or big maze of menus.

Great all round PSX emulator, I paid to support the project. Most games work perfectly and they can even render in 16:9 without stretch, which is magic! I have one major irritation in that when my 8bitdo pad, Steam controller or XB1 pad disconnects for sleep, or just coming back to play, it prompts to map the pad to player one, every time. It also makes the 'player 1 mode' analog, which essentially deactivates the Dpad. Really annoying if pausing a racing game etc then coming back to it and the dpad not responding etc. I think a less profile based approach would be a good option for some people. When deciding not to use a pad, it doesn't change back to the touchscreen skin without changing the settings first. It would be really nice to see this change automatically if no gamepad is selected.Would change to 5 star if this is fixed :) Huawei P20 Pro

This is by far the best psx emulator on mobile. I play a lot of rpg's so the fact that this has a Fast Forward button is worth it alone. The only thing I can think of to add is: In the list of additional buttons you can add to the on-screen controls please add the option for a landscape/portrait toggle and also an audio mute toggle button. Don't get me wrong tho it's still well worth the price without those. Wish I could give it more than 5 stars.

Everywhere I looked, I found that this was the recommended PS1 emulator for Android. I was a little reluctant to spend money on it, but Retroarch didn't run as flawlessly as I'd like, so I decided to give it a go. Somehow, this runs worse than the PS1 cores in Retroarch. I won't give it one star, since it does work and has a decent interface, but there's really no point in buying this emulator when there's a better free option available.

I am very happy with purchasing this emulator. I haven't had any problems setting up and I can play my favorite PS1 games. It's just that recently, the emulator cannot run Final Fantasy 8 anymore. I tried to uninstall and download files from different ROMs website but still, it can't run the game. Is this because they have released the remastered edition? I hope you could help me.

I'm using it on a high end Android TV Box. It was a breeze mapping my Bluetooth gamepad. It runs any PS1 ISO image you care to throw at it and runs them flawlessly. This is a very old emulator but is still being constantly updated. It's probably the best PS1 emulator for both Android and PC. I've been using it on PC for years and it didn't let me down on Android. PS1 games don't really need high end hardware to run well. YES, you will have to remap the buttons for each new gamepad. It's best to find a really good gamepad you like, map it once and stick with the same gamepad. It has certainly earned a 5 star rating.

Just Brilliant! This is a great PSX emulator, and the ROMs I have tried so far, run smoothly, and look just great! I highly recommend this as the primary emulator for PSX games. Using a bluetooth game controller, running on an Asus Transformer Prime, makes this the ideal emulation gaming hog. The emulator also provides authentic TV scanline emulation to give it that extra realism. A great product and well worth the money.

I have only tried one game so far (crash team racing) on the s10. it plays perfectly with the highest settings whilst using "fast opengl", and NEVER EVER drops a frame at all, even after playing for hours non-stop! and on top of that i play whilst the phone is on android's power saving mode, which limits the cpu to 70%...so, so far it works amazingly well on an s10 (at least for ctr).

The best Playstation 1 emulator! It runs most games fine right out of the lot without making setting adjustments. But better graphics can be had by adjusting settings and downloading the OpenGL add on plugin. On screen controls are fully customizable and buttons can be resized and repositioned. And you can use dual analog stick bluetooth controllers like the 8bitdo SF30 and set up custom button mapping. Games can be found via a Google search (hint... hint...). A must have app for retro gaming!

Pretty dope. Playing SOTN on my phone is awesome. Got a couple other games I'm gonna try but so far the games themselves work fine. Only issue I've had so far is with setting up an external controller via Bluetooth. I don't have an OTG cable (yet) which means I can only start by trying to set up my ps4 controller. It identified it right away so that much was fine. But then when I tried to play it MAJOR input lag. Idk if it was just with my device but I have since only used the on screen pad.

I wrote a negative review over 2 years ago, the app is now unprecedented, one of the best PS1 emulators out there, I did defect to FPSE for awhile but thought I'd give ePSXe another go. Works like a treat, love the fact it has a OpenGL add-on making the graphics lovely and smooth without compromise. Also built in zip format that indxes the game taking all the stress away from copy and pasting ect, the cheats database also seems to be larger than FPSE . Finally the sound, it emulates sound of the PS1 exactly at the console would which blows FPSE out of the water, oh yes and the Bluetooth support for my moga game pad is flwless . Thank you for making the emulator great again.

amazing ps1 emulator definitely worth the $3.75, I was able to get a ps4 controller to work with it and ran silent hill at 4x resolution with solid framerates, the sound is like I was actually playing a ps1 and while I cant speak for all games, silent hill had a slight discolored thing or two but they weren't very noticable as it was tucked away

Great version of the PC emulator. Works well, automatically stores the current game for easy resuming if you accidentally close the app. The PC version is more customisable from what I've seen and is obviously free, but this works with no setup necessary and has both touch screen (with nicely sized buttons) and controller support. Only issue is sound latency is slightly delayed by default but that can be changed in the options.

Amazing! I have used ePSXe for nearly 20 years on my PC to play PSX games. The Android version is even better than the one I use on PC. (It should be, since the PC version is free.) I play Final Fantasy games mostly. On PC I have a handful of graphical glitches in FF7, really no big deal but something easy to notice. This version has no graphical glitches that I have seen after about 2 hours of playing. If you use HappyChick, uninstall that first to avoid problems using xbox360/ps4 controllers.

This is a fantasfic PS1 emulator. it runs at a fairly smooth 60FPS on my S7 Edge, I have only seen a few frame drops, but they typically don't last long, and this is at 2x Resolution. It has native gamepad support, which I was unable to get working on FPSE. I have been running through MGS1 with an Xbox One S controller through bluetooth and had no issues.

Hands down just an all around great emulator. Couldn't ask for a better setup. Games run smooth. Sound is never choppy. Playing all the stuff I grew up on which games aren't built the same now a days. Combo button pressing is easy and able. Mapping for controls is easy and they have multiple selections. They get 5 stars from me after using this app for a week and already taking up hours of my down time.

Wasnt too sure if i wanted to pay for this as i wasnt so sure how it would perform in my device, but i Totally had made the right choice getting it! It works absolutely fantastic on the sony Xperia 1!! It even supports the 21:9 screen ratio with no stretching. Simply connect a ps4 controller and you are good to go! May have to tweak some settings if not performing well on your device, but mine works so good now. Now i csn play my favourite childhood games again! On my mobile phone! Whaaaaaat!

Fantastic PS1 Emulator. Pretty cheap price considering there're others with a bigger price and horrible UI. Never had a problem with any game. Though I believe the phone's specs would matter in some cases. If you're playing Turn based RPGs, it'll work just fine, but if you're planning on playing action games, you should definitely consider playing with a controller.

Really good app. I've only just downloaded Bust A Groove on it. Still yet to download more old school games. It's really hard to play Bust A Groove as it's out of sync by a split second with the beat. Would really like it if this could be fixed in anyway. All in all.. Real happy with this app.

Pretty darn awesome. it works at 60 fps for me. It can save file and can customize everything possible.More then the pc edition. Skip playing ps one emulators on pc this is way more user friendly, stable, and management is way easier. Bluetooth controller support including Wii mote and nunck support. No need to find bios because included and frameworked. Exactly how you wanted to play PSone classics. You be stupid trying to find anything else. works on old prepaid phones as well.

Excellent, recommend this app if you're wanting to take your PS1 collection with you. Requires a bit of setting up but it's not difficult, recommend connecting a six axis controller by cable and OTG adaptor to get the most benefit from the emulator. Fantastic purchase, can't go wrong with it (I've had no major problems yet), have installed the app on a few friends phones or tablets and they're happy to be able to play they PS1 games while they're out...

It plays great... Great controls for touch screen. Very smooth gaming, no lag time that I have noticed. Can swap between discs of the old rpg's with ease. I recommend for anybody looking to jam out their younger days, to grab this up. For the cost, not having to pay out the butt for hard copies, is well worth the cost.

FYI if you have a saved game before installing a BIOS, then install the BIOS, something happens to cause the file to become hidden. It's still there somewhere, and when you go back to your "simulted bios" you can pick right back off from your save. My advice would be to get the BIOS and run it immediately when installing the emulator. Insuring no loss without having to go back to the simulated BIOS.

I would love to give ePSXe a 5 star review as I've enjoyed the app immensely. However, the game search function has went from simple (download the game, hit search and there it is) to complicated (even though saving the games themselves in the epsxe folder, I have to go through the root folders, find the unzipped game and select to play that way). While not a major setback, it does take away from the overall experience.

An amazing emulator and for sure i recommend it for all but I have one issue, I can't use the button equivalent to select on my XBOX 1 controller for the games orignal purpose and instead opens the emulators menu. Maybe there is something I can do to change its function but that option is well hidden or masked as something else.

You know that guy who ALWAYS has to do something different? Well that guy is me. Running this on his ASUS Chromebook flip and so far, it can't seem to see the SD card for the games. Not sure if it is an issue with the Chrome OS or what. First things first, Get the OPENGL plugin from the website, then get the Bios suggested, then get the game ISO (GrandTurismo-2) and now.. Hope that I can find the game disk. Again, I wish it was easier to just navigate to the folder, like in windows, but again, just comes with the territory of dealing with Android. So far it boots and starts so That's a Plus. Most programs do not work on a Chromebook. If this is still an issue, I guess i can use my tablet, but there is no way I can use the HDMI out and still charge the thing at the same time. I might try the other emulator to see how that one works. So far, still have not got it running. But, time will tell.

Out of all the emulators I've tried using to play PS1 games this one works the best. I was a little worried about spending money on something that may not work. But I gotta say it was definitely worth it. If you're on the fence about buying this, then I gotta say you should just do it. It's worth it to get the games to run flawlessly where other emulators can't. Besides If you have issues there's a refund option.
