While I appreciate that the () and % symbols are now easier to utilize, since the last update, the overall look of the app now looks like a toy, rather than something to be taken seriously. Plus, you can no longer see the total of the current expression, as you're adding to it. Only after you press = and the new layout of the buttons seems (perhaps from familiarity with the old one) counterintuitive for some reason. Like others, I'd like to revert to the previous, "classic" version.

I'm installing a new calculator app, I use this app almost daily and got used to the layout of the previous version. Now I'm hitting backspace instead of equals. I use this in split screen a lot, and before, everything was easy to press at the lower resolution, now the buttons are smaller and harder to hit. Why change an app that people have more than likely developed muscle memory to use efficiently? I'm sorry to the dev that thought this was a good idea, but it wasn't. Please revert this.

It was super useful and easy to read, I always used it as opposed to the one on my iPad simply because of the layout, but they changed it, it's like they were trying to copy iOS, the icon doesn't even match with the actual app, not only that but you have to tap multiple times or press the AC button (which took me forever to find btw) to delete everything rather than holding down on the delete button, you also can't preview answer anymore. It's hard to use and even look at.

The new ux update is a regression in terms of usability. The material buttons are distracting. The backspace is in an odd location. You can no longer long-press on the backspace button to clear the screen. The animated button presses are distracting. This update is not bad in a 'oh, something I used a lot changed and now I don't like it'. It's bad in the sense that the app is harder to use and at least one great feature has been removed.

It used to be great, it was my go to calculator for all my uses. When not in an exam at least. It gave me every option for manual inputs when performing calculations. Why can't I have individual brackets? Now they've changed it made it more simple and vastly more frustrating. You could at least enable me to have the option to use the previous, superior, layout.

I used to really really like using a calculator, but ever since this new update everything is screwed up. I'm very passionate about my numbers, I find the update has made the calculator substantially worse, considerably more ugly, and a lot more buggy. Often past equations overlap with a little indicator on the top that shows when I'm in degrees or radians. It was absolutely no reason for the change, I wish there was a way to bring the old one back.

New update is trash, they reorganized all the buttons so you don't remember where anything is, holding the back button no longer clears the equation, so you have to spam the button 20 times to start something new, the circle button layout looks awful and it's way too bright. The whole layout is just distracting. The old calculator was perfect. I think it's pretty clear how bad this is over the amount of people coming to the app store to review a pre-installed calculator. Please go back.

Sure it still works, but why did you feel the need to take a nice sharp professional looking calculator and turn it into some weird bubble popping simulator. This isn't a social network, you're not trying to engage users with fancy designs, it's a calculator. Keep it simple. Edit: I had given this a 3 star, but I was so wrong about the functionality. You somehow succeeded in making a calculator hard to use. This is more a toy than a tool now.

This app is the textbook definition of "If it ain't broke... Don't fix it" As many others have complained this update does not match at all compared to our previous versions. Material you does not look good on non material you devices. The vibration settings for the haptic feedback is awful. It's time to revert these changes. You have 4 days.

please return it to its former layout. I loved this, used it every day and it was perfect. Now they've changed the layout making it big and bubbly, I feel embarrassed to use it, its awkward to type, and I want the old layout back. If it was changed to make more accessible for people with disabilities then at least make this new format OPTIONAL for those of us that used and loved the old version.
