No support, links on a help page that go in circles and don't actually answer any questions or solve any issues. Tried to import my current number, they couldn't, so I was dumped into the app with no options other than to pay Google for "service" that they had no intention of providing.

I give the Fi app a poor rating for two reasons. 1. With the Fi app installed, it is no longer possible to disable use of 5G, and if the phone detects the slightest hint of a 5G signal, it forces you to use that even if it isn't actually usable, despite having a good 4G signal. This often makes it impossible for me to make phone calls or use the internet. 2. There is no way to remove the app, even if you no longer want Fi service, without totally erasing everything on the phone.

This is not as good as it's advertised to be, which sucks because I bought a whole new phone to be able to use it. I thought I would save money because data charges are flexible, because apparently I was only using less than a gigabyte of data on my old phone, but somehow I max out on Fi every month and pay more, even with wifi. Things like messages freeze up inexplicably, it doesn't actually screen spam calls like advertised, and drops calls. I feel like Google has the resources to do better.

I have had this service for a few years and the service area was fine and I have had an ok time with the customer service. However, I am trying to move my number over to my husband's plan on another carried now and it is a nightmare. The carrier told me when coming from Fi it could take 7 days! I've had this number for 20 years and have moved it multiple places and have never experienced anything like this. Don't do it unless you are ready for a lifetime commitment!

There have been several instances where the app has stopped my messaging for an absolutely unknown reason. No warning. I typically have to hear from someone that they haven't been getting my texts, then I have to screw around with the phone for 30 minutes to try and figure out what's wrong. Today I finally just uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it worked. It's really ridiculous. It's happened several times now

If I could give this app, and Google Fi as a whole, Negative Stars, I would. The service is absolute garbage, in more ways than one. For starters, I have been over the past few months steadily receiving crappier and spottier service, despite the device claiming to have "Excellent Reception." But this I could live with, if it weren't for my utterly atrocious experience with Google Fi today. TL;DR: Google Fi's replacement plan is a lie. Google's support articles on their replacement plan are intentionally misleading. Google's customer service Chat line has long wait times with no other options available and their Chat agents will haphazardly, shoddily, and half-assedly redirect customers to the wrong departments with little actual care or concern for the customer's support issue, resulting in hours of lost productivity for the customer. In addition, their billing department's infrastructure is so poorly built that I repeatedly would be denied service for a payment issue resolved at the beginning of the year attempting to bill a card that no longer exists WHILE TELLING ME that it is billing my current card. Oh my lord, stay away from Google Fi. Do not buy their products, and do not rely on their support service. So, I have been trying to replace my phone through the Google Fi Device Protection Plan. I pay extra money on my bill for this plan, and, as they advertize online through their support page, I will need to pay a "deductible" on my phone for replacement, repair, or Lost/Stolen repair. For my device, the support article tells me that my expected deductible is $59. But it isn't. Because, when I went to follow the link after requesting a replacement device, the "temporary hold" that I was told multiple times, including in the email I was sent with the link to order the replacement device, would NOT CHARGE MY ACCOUNT, declined. This is because, as a younger person who has to work for a living, I don't carry the FULL VALUE of my phone as disposable income for any time that my phone breaks. I'm not some rich retiree living off the government who can afford to just drop $300 on a replacement plan I am already paying additional money for. When I read in the support article that there is a $59 "deductible" for my phone, I read that as "I will have to pay $59 out of pocket before Google fixes my phone." And, worse, I have a ghost order on my account for this fix, but it has absolutely no information on the device that is being replaced or anything I could use to confirm that this replacement actually exists and isn't going to mess up my replacement process. Fast forward to today, when I finally have the time to contact Google Fi support about my issue. I end up waiting for 30 minutes in a "line" for service over my issue to speak to a person named "Tyson" in the Chat, because I can't request an email or a callback. Tyson is going to be named-and-shamed here, because his behavior was awful and he deserves to be fired. Instead of listening to my issue, he redirected me within minutes to a different department, the "Google Fi support team" as opposed to the "Google Fi Store support team", telling me that they would be able to help me with my issue. I spend the next over-one-hour talking with someone else about my issue, only to find out that I had been redirected out of the right department into the wrong department, and that I would have to file a new ticket and request a new chat. But, when I go to do THAT, I am told by the website that all of Google Fi's support agents are "busy" and I won't be able to submit my issue. Bear in mind, I work. I can't afford to just sit here all day, debating and philosophizing about where the problem is that I am dealing with. When I wait 30 minutes to chat with someone, I expect that I will receive prompt and expedient resolution for my issues, not be immediately redirected to the wrong department so that some half-assed employee can pretend he's moving cases faster.

Had no idea that once installed it can't be uninstalled. I never would've signed up. When I leave the service, I'll be erasing the phone. Nice that they don't tell you this upfront. The Pixel 6 Android 12 with Fi is extremely buggy. The service is mediocre. Not worth the cost. People are constantly telling me I'm cutting out or sound choppy when I'm on a blazing fast WiFi connection and often when I'm out I get no cellular signal and the loading death circle. Not impressed at all.

Customer service for Google Fi is horrendous. I have had 6 different people straight up lie to me and tell me my issue was resolved and close the ticket even though I was telling them it wasn't fixed. I have never experienced anything like this. It's the worst customer support I've ever seen. If you are considering getting Google Fi, I promise you, the service you have now is better and will give you better customer service than Google Fi will. They have no interest in helping their customers.

It is great that you get service for one price in most part of the world but the only problem is when you go over 15GB of data it gets really slow. It takes for ever to open any attachment in an email. It really sucks for a person who is always on the go for work and needs to use their own phone service to communicate well. I used to have Verizon which was great for work and even after 15GB used you didn't notice much at all but was way too expensive and didn't have any service when travelling for a person who likes to travel outside the country. You can get full speed with google fi when you pay $10 per GB😖. That can rack up pretty quick if you're using it for work. I hope it gets better.
