As many have pointed out, the app no longer works, which was the whole point of buying these (quite expensive) lights. No word from the developers, I see. You could at least explain what the problem is. I'm going to contact Asda and give them some grief for selling goods which don't do as claimed. I would suggest others do the same. The seller is always liable.

Review update: still love the lights, but had to find an old phone on older android...... worked a treat, have to admit, wife's idea Needs updating. Used it for last 2-3 years, absolutely loved them. Just spent today decorating our tree to find the app no longer works with android update so no control over lights, need to now remove from tree 😡

Edit: this app no longer works but go to developer's profile and look at other apps. There's one called Smart Lights that works with these lights. Annoying that I have a perfectly good set of lights that I can't connect to anymore and therefore can no longer use! Since I upgraded my phone this app won't discover the lights and since the only way to use these lights on a steady on mode is with this app it needs updating! Hardly eco friendly to force someone to throw away perfectly good lights.

Does Not Work With huawei p30 pro . George Home Smart Lights.... Needs update... Bluetooth sees Lights but app itself will not find lights to do settings time switch from colour to white/colour light flash etc... The App itself Needs an update... Used to work on old Bluetooth 9 or lollipop versions but will not work on New Bluetooth 3.0 or higher it definitely could do with an update... Contacted developer but had no reply as yet to whether there is an update available... Even tried app through Blustacks Emulator For Android on PC to see if I could get it to work but with no success...

No Longer works in 2020 with latest Android to allow control of the lights. As recommended by another user (Thanks Chris H), search for Intellect Lights by Li Yang, the same developer as the George app. It's available on Play Store. The lights now work a treat as before and can be full controlled and timed with the app.

Had these lights for a few years and loved the fact I could control them from my phone. Can't do that now as the app needs to be updated to run on newer android phones, hugely disappointing and frustrating especially since I expected it to be usable for at least another good few years.

Was a truly fantastic app and controlled all the lights with ease. It was perfect. However it no longer works on new android. O have now had to buy plug timers but they are limited to switching on and off. Will look to buy another brand of lights next that is supported by an app that works

Spent the afternoon with my grand daughter putting the George smart lights onto the tree and decorating. Went to activate lights on phone or tablet and lights aren't supported now as need an upgrade which can't get. Have now noticed that there are loads of reviews saying same thing. Is this just Asda trying to get us all to buy new lights. Mine aren't that old. Grand daughter was so upset as I had told her that you could change them from coloured to white etc. Pretty disgusted

Gutted, wasted so much time today installing my outdoor Christmas lights which I've had for years, but they won't connect. After reading all the recent reviews I see that they now don't work with the latest android devices. Please update this app so we can all use our lights :-(

No longer works. App not updated to support newer phones. Used to work on my s7 and s6. Now I have the s9, the lights are not detected. I'm assuming the android version is restricting it somehow. Needs fixing/updating.
