App has become painfully slow. Adding a device now hit or miss. A shame really, because the products themselves work really well. If you could do all the management without the app that would be brilliant. As it is you have to delve into this POS every time you need to do something slightly out of the ordinary ( such as adding button press options to a click button )..

Crashes constantly atleast several times per hour. Not a good introduction to home automation, though when its working it works well, but due to crashing looses connection with hub and error messages constantly obstruct phone usage. App hasn't been updated since 2019!

The hardware seems to be rock solid and works well with Alexa. So the star rating is just for the app....... The app keeps stopping on my Moto G8 plus. This is more than a little annoying as the dialogue box appears every 10 to 30 seconds once the app has been opened to change the settings. I reported this a year ago and no fix has been forthcoming... The settings are fine and work... Just painful to use due to the above issue... Better to use the web page TBH.

Mixed experience with these devices and app their seems to be major ongoing issues with the infrastructure that the app uses meaning the switched only work 80% of the time making them unreliable. The timer in the app only works 50% of the time doubling the timers improves to approx 65% but therefore still very unreliable, have found no way to run my infrastructure to resolve the issues. Fantastic conspect applied by the app and infrastructure. Groups are useful but timers can't be applied.

Needs a lot of work. Daily usage stats doesn't show kWh or even the total usage for that day. Can't view graph of historical data to compare. Can't set the unit price for electricity. All the things you would buy the hardware for to save money.

This app is so unreliable. Timers sometimes work and sometimes they don't. Same with alerts from my motion sensor, I sometimes receive them straight away but sometimes don't get anything and then get few alerts at the same time. There is no way to drill down on alerts to see what time they came in, you have to go to their website to get that info. This app is huge disappointment. My wife uses iOS device and app is much better there so this is definitely Android app issue.

This app has so much potential and I'm pleased to see some of the worst problems have been fixed (possibly due to me updating to Android pie). The single biggest remaining problemi have is the app has a tendency to crash. Generally when using the app for any extended period it will crash out and have to be restarted, this seems to extend to notifications stopping working after a period of time.

I bought the electricity monitor, then realised that I had to get a 'gateway box' which they kindly gave me free. But the gateway keeps disconnecting and when I reconnect its lost all the data. This app is usless and keeps saying its not connected for a few days I cannot get any usful readings about my electricity as I'm trying to sync it with my electricity meter. The price would have been better spent on the electricity bill. Please at least get your products and software right before you put them on sale. Useless!

Long time user of energenie stuff. More recently upgraded many built in sockets and light switches. The system is good and certainly up there with the competition, whilst remaining cheaper. Lightwave appear to be the only true alternative, but they equally have their issues and at a higher price point. There are improvements to be made: latency can be annoyingly sketchy at times and the app is really quite terrible, but I mostly use Google home (via IFTTT or Yonomi) so it's OK.

There is no way around it. The app is horrible (Yes most smart devices apps have bad reviews i know). No in app indication as to weather a devices is on or off and i've seen a months old review that already stated that. I set timers through the app they don'y work properly. sometimes it will not fire at all and other times they fire hours after the even was supposed to happen or hours before. even if I set the timers in ifttt its them same problem. instructing my smart speaker to switch on or off only works randomly. I like these devices a lot and was planning on getting a few more but i will have to hold fire until some of these problems get sorted. I hope you look at these reviews.
