The app crashed and when I went to restart it, it had cleared my login info. When I went to log back in, it didn't recognize my credentials, even though my wife was still logged into the app on her phone and confirmed that our login info was accurate. I'm now having to create a new account and add all my devices just to control my system from my phone. The app interface was the main selling point. This is BEYOND FRUSTRATING.

I love that I can adjust the temperature of my house from anywhere. Or I can schedule a vacation temp when I'm away. Very easy and helpful app. One thing I don't like the app kicks me out about every three months and I have to sign back in. That is not convenient.

Develloper are imposing change on this app and make it harder and and harder to program it under the so called scope of automation or the name of ecobee +. Now you can no longer program it by minute but only to the half hour. I have to redo all programs. I am not even talked about the non sense management of thresold bandwidth.... I have installed about 16 of these at friends and family. I now have to avoid against ecobee.

If I have three thermostats in my house, why do I have to say "set system to cool" three times? Why isn't there a "set house to cool" option that simultaneously controls all three? Guess I'll have to use Tasker and the API, but why didn't you think of it?

For the 5th time tonight, everything has to be readded. FIVE TIMES! Doesn't work after every single update. Says the thermo needs to be installed. It's the app that is the issue. I didn't do anything except to lay in bed and try to adjust the ac. Why does it keep saying I don't have any devices? LEAVE THIS APP ALONE!

The app is slow and always says "there was a problem" when you add a device. Every so often it will act like you haven't installed anything even though a screen that shows everything you have will come up for a split second.

The app is never giving me accurate information and never updates to what the actual thermostat is doing. My phone says the systems off while my thermostat has it on and vise versa. There is no refresh button or anything. Very disappointing.

I just want to change the temperature. I haven't used the app in a while, but I was cold this morning and thought I would turn up the heat for a bit from my bed. I can't just pick a single temperature to hold for a bit, only a range, which is made even more confusing by the message it gives when selecting the range: "Your system will start heating at 70 degrees.". I don't want it to start at 70 degrees, I want it to be 70 degrees. Apparently I turn the temp down to turn the heat up now?

Coming from a nest a major feature missing is some sort of distinction between when the HVAC system is on or off. A simple color change on the main screen would help tremendously.

I am a professional hvac technician, so I have dealt with most thermostat brands. I find ecobees app very intuitive and easy to set up. This is what I use in my own home.
