Not sure where to report bugs besides here. Issue with menu sidebar. When clicking the three dots in the bottom right corner it opens with half hidden below the screen. Half the buttons are hidden, but those that are visible work. You can swipe it up to reveal more buttons but none work, including those that worked before swiping up. This is only when in a tab or webpage, but it works normally on the default launch page. Will update review once fixed. App is otherwise amazing

download about:config settings are NOT saved !!! Every single time I start Firefox Nightly I have to change a setting in about:config to be able to use Firefox... (security.enterprise_roots.enabled=true) I need this setting because I use AdGuard to filter ADS (this is not the addon I use). AdGuard installs a completely valid certificate in system, but Google does not want that because of adblocking!

android When the top part can be hid by moving down and I'm scrolling the app sometimes bugs and the screen goes a bit up or stops and it's really annoying. For now I've disabled the Gidding of the bar in customise but it still happens a bit. Everything else is great though, especially sync.

vs firefox i would have given this aop a five star rating but have had to do a number of updates almost every day for the past five days and had noticed that this latest update doesn't have the quit option in tavs aby longer as given in the settings. So that means you cannot quit a session even though you gace set it in your settings? That's my only gripe at this point. Please explain.

apk Update April 21: about:config settings not saved by browser. Resets every time browser is reloaded. In particular the security roots setting for certificates Update Feb 21: please bring back tab queue ASAP. Page loading seems to have slowed particularly with addons installed. flashes of white loading page issue is resolved. Thanks for including customised searches and saved passwords.

reddit - devs pls make opened tabs offline instead of loading each time :) - Offline reading feature will be hype 🐞Bugs: - "No app found to open apk file" when trying to open downloaded file from notification. Although I can install directly by clicking notification on browsers like Chrome Edit: The last update was fab, top sites UI is cooler than before xD

ubuntu This version has some major issues, I can't find where to give feedback. ℹ️ Note for new/confused users: If this version of Firefox gives you trouble, try the Main version. That said, Nightly is my daily driver - it has a Major problem. It somehow has crashed Android (System UI and/or the entire phone, locking it up for minutes and restarting). I didn't know an app could even do that. The most recent crash made me think it might be an extension? Fennec never did this, would love to send a report

logo This app is literally my favorite browser ever! It's so good! It has multi-drvice sync and all other things normal browsers have like choosing your search engine, bookmarks, etc. I won't be explaining everything this has because I don't have time, and if you're ever considering installing this browser you'll find the great things out by yourself. Some people say that it's slow but in reality it depends on your wifi connection, with me it has been really fast to respond clicks :)

ios 5 stars again! Updates to how Nightly works with the Dark Reader add-on have resolved the rendering issues, so thank you! Mozilla is putting a lot of effort into improving Firefox for Android and it is really paying off. The UI is so smooth, it is by far the best on Android. The add-ons work beautifully. It runs slightly slower than others, but the add-ons add privacy protection no other browsers can match. Keep up the great work!

vs beta I love Firefox. I've used it since v1 on desktop. Since Firefox's rendering engine is the last holdout against the Chromium borg cube, I'm even more determined to stick with Firefox. The mobile redesign was launched poorly and I stopped using it for a while. But now that my favorite extensions are back in, I'm back with Firefox again. I like where the new clean design and focus on performance is going. One thing I miss a lot: copy image directly to clipboard.

Constant crashes for the last 2 days. Download notification crashes browser. Sharing links crashes browser. Tapping on any Firefox notification crashes browser. Sending tabs to browser from PC crashes browser. Please fix with todays update. Oh and thanks for forcing the move from FF preview without porting my tabs or collections... Download notifications wont clear

In portrait mode settings popup is completely dysfunctional when extended fully with latest update. Works fine in landscape mode for some reason. Very irritating. Reinstalled, cleared data, still crippled. The few visible options work when partial menu is showing, but cannot share tabs, or enter full settings without first rotating to landscape.

  13. RogueMortal-avatar

No options to import bookmarks from other browsers (none of the methods mozilla lists on their site exist) and highlighting anything in the search bar locks you out of the keyboard. I imagine there are more issues but lacking such basic functions makes any use of this app frustrating enough to prevent finding the rest.

  14. Sophie Nichol-avatar

    Sophie Nichol

It's fast, the interface is both aesthetically pleasing and customizable, and best of all you can use addons/extensions on mobile! The reader mode is also super useful. The main reason I'm using nightly instead of the stable version currently is because nightly lets you have a custom addon collection. The default addons are good but they don't have a userscript manager yet.

  15. Everything & Nothing-avatar

    Everything & Nothing

Hey, its not Chrome right? Although finding a solution to get all of my Chrome saved logins was a bit involved, I am very happy with Firefox Nightly. The best part is that it isn't perpetuating my "Google Dataset" a.k.a. Future Social Credit Score. If, like me, your biggest obstacle to ditching Chrome was the years of passwords, the solution that stuck was Bitwarden. I wish Firefox or other Mozilla products had an obvious way to import CSV. Bitwarden got it done at no cost.

  16. Jeremy Torres-avatar

Previous Crashing and stability issues seem to be fixed by switching webview to Bromite instead of the regular Google webview. Currently running on Android 11. Sidenote: this is one of the very few browsers that will run on the Android 12 Developer Preview and seems to be very stable thus far.

  17. Jay M.-avatar

Constantly refreshes the page if I switch to another tab or minimize the app for so much as one single second. Trying to scroll to the top of the page also refreshes it half the time, for some goddamn reason. Can't properly display half the pages I need it to, functionality is broken even in desktop view. No themes besides light or dark anymore. Wasn't always such a godawful app, but I'm switching to the default browser from now on, not worth the headache.

  18. Monty Mole-avatar

Irrelevant here. . . But there is not much point in me having Firefox anymore. I use it to sync with Firefox on the Firestick. As you are discontinuing that app I will do likewise with Firefox. Firefox will be removed for wherever I have it. (On that. Firefox was good while it lasted but it has now become obvious that it cannot compete with the big boys anymore. I wish the developers and staff all the Best) By the way, for what it's worth this here app is 5⭐. 🦊

A Fantastic experience. I've been with the beta for over a year now - it is surprisingly stable and lets me see the updates much quicker. The app has gotten to be pretty spick and comfortable to use especially in the past few month. I belive in you Mozilla, you go team! Thanks for the fantastic browser!

    Dan Hurjui

One of the best browsers for android, if not the best one... aside from some bugs that are sometimes introduced for short periods of time, for testing, it.s nightly after all, for me it the most smooth and full featured browser, better than firefox fenix beta or stable or any other chrome based browser.

  21. Ivo Pletikosić-avatar

Firefox, I'll tell you when I need the keyboard. Please don't open it for me, that's just not nice. Why did you invent collections and bookmarks if you're covering them with the keyboard that now takes two back taps to close?

  22. Google User-avatar

    Google User

HOME BUTTON? WHERE?? Opens USELESS "Collections", no need for extra "Tabs Tray". Lower rating because of these. Mozilla has ignored bugs, features, page display errors & user requests. Privacy concern! DARK MODE IS GREAT. ( Firefox "Daylight Final" also gets 0 stars, as About:config is disabled! WHY ??? ) *NOT ALL HOME PAGES ARE SEARCH ENGINES SO STOP WITH THIS NO HOME BUTTON TREND!!!* OTHERWISE, browser is great!

  23. PinkAxolotl-avatar

on long pages it can't seem to save its place when you switch from vertical to horizontal rotation, it'll throw you much father up the page than where you are so you have to commit to reading a page in once rotation only. Interestingly it doesn't do it on reader mode despite being the same length. other than that the app works well bar some missing customizable options. edit: address bar broken when horizontal, will randomly scroll up and down instead of staying hidden

Updating from 3 to 4 stars, there are some oddities with the video player on XL phone screens, but the browser is finally stable. Still does not support many extensions and isn't as versatile as the old browser so I can't give it 5 stars again until non-mozilla-approved add-ons are allowed again.

17/4/21 Utter Garbage. Deleted. FFS Mozilla sort your act out and fire the useless cretins designing this trash. The UI is a complete disaster... - no one click/swipe access to Bookmarks & History, - (new) tab options not available from tab button in menu bar so have to move from top to bottom of screen with more clicks, - can't remove logo on quick access screen which wastes space, - icon based tabs too large when you have many open, tabs always reload, slow opening pages ...

I'm not sure why I assumed it would be better at blocking ads, but it doesn't. I've run EFF cover your tracks and the results were not great. It doesn't compare to Brave. Blocking tracking ads? Partial protection Blocking invisible trackers? Partial protection Protecting you from fingerprinting? Your browser has a unique fingerprint

About:config will not stop resetting on its own to defaults. These settings used to stick! I run nightly to have this capability. You are wasting my time with this mistake.

It is a great browser, I love the extension support. It is everything I could have hoped for in a mobile browser. One bug? When scrolling the webpage downwards, the address bar disappears but does not reappear when scrolling back up. I have to reach the bottom of the webpage and then scroll up for it to appear. Tab switching takes a long time because of this. One wish? To hide the QR code scanner when the keyboard is up. I already have a QR code scanner and this seems unnecessary. Thank you.

After testing a different browsers I will probably stick with this as my daily driver. Its very intuitive and easy to use. Everything I need I get within just 2 taps. I really like they added option to create a shortcut on home screen. LOTS of privacy options there, no stupid ads. It has beautiful dark mode. So far I can't complain at all. Great job Firefox. I hope no future update will ruin my experience.

I love that you place the toolbar at bottom by default. Takes a few days to get used to it, but then it's increasing my productivity so much as it's so much easier to reach. Thanks! I wish you'd add a gesture that allows swiping "forwards". The native Android back swipe always makes me want to also swipe in the opposite direction to go forward (like you can on Apple devices) in my history. I sometimes have issues with deeplinks that don't work well ("Open in app" is on, but feels a bit buggy).

    1. Still no option to have tabs visible at top. Doesn't have to be default, just add the option. This is a must for me. 2. When clicking address bar, need an option to show bookmarks there, like older versions. This was a fantastic feature that other browsers don't have. 3. No home button or option to add it. No customisation of start screen background... It's looking quite outdated compared to other browsers. I really can't use Firefox until it returns those basic features...

  65. Sid Arthur-avatar

it's better than the other new firefox. i can get into about:config at least. one issue i've noticed with it so far is that tho i've told it to close the open tabs on exit it leaves them open. that's going to need to be sorted out. and i'd like it to be made compatible with more of the add ons that were available on older versions. also it's annoying that i've got to go through a labyrinth to open a new tab for instance, and that i've got to add search engines manually now for whatever reason

  66. Miguel G-avatar

    Miguel G

I like this browser it's fairly quick, improved and allows you to use some browser extensions on mobile which is great. The not-so-great part is navigating around the app, it's too clunky with too many button presses to get to things you want to commonly do. The new tab group layout could be better. If you swipe away a tab and undo it it'll appear at the top of the list. Most of the tabs' preview images show up blank. Wish the top toolbar's address bar was closer on a new tab or opened keyboard.

  67. Bill Mair-avatar

Still no way to set start up/home page, broken since new "collection" concept. Still no support for X.509 client certificate authentication (should have been implemented before the "new" UI concept was inflicted on us). Less freedom of choice and more "dumbing down" of the configuration. Uninstalled as local file support has been removed so I can't use it to reference local javadoc on tablet.

  68. Sailor-avatar

Nice cool features. Just let me tell you something: You don't have to screw the old features to implement new ones. No entensions that adds things to context menu are working. How am I supposed to search by image? That hideous extension you recommend is not working, and even if it was it would still be inferior than Image Search Options.

Video rotation issue is still not fixed. Some users prefer to keep system's "Auto-rotate" off, but want videos should rotate as per their convenience. Firefox nightly rotates any full screen video only to "Right" direction, never to "Left" direction, even if user rotates the smartphone to left. Even in this release of "12 Mar 2021", the issue is not fixed. Other browsers like chrome, samsung, edge does not have that basic problem. Why ?

If you're interested in fullscreen video in your browser, do not use any of the Firefox releases for Android. As others have noted, the video gets zoomed in and the controls are not responsive unless you tap in a specific area of the video (usually a few cm above where the actual nav bar is). Additionally, Firefox Nightly used to be the only way to access about:config on mobile which would help end users identify and disable problem features, but now none of the releases allow you to access it

  73. Eliot Cole-avatar

I do prefer it, still, but you HAVE to reverse the open tab model. It's essentially useless, especially in private. Example; I leave a tweet in one tab to perform a StartPage, then come back to find it fully logged out, all cookies (inc. preferences) gone. This seems similar to the rendering/memory usage model of chromium. Old nightly didn't do it. Other important issues: • gBoard stops working for text fields on pages (Google nerf?) • Need to ALLOW XPI add-ons • Improve desktop high dpi mode

Can't customize to open to home screen, to open to blank, or to open to a desired to URL. Always opens to restored tabs. And I don't WANT to open to saved tabs. I don't even want to save tabs. Need option to close everything when closing/restarting app - clean start option. Navigating to "quit" button is clumsy and insufficient. Can at least use about:config but even that has been bastardized. C'mon, Mozilla, you can do better than this. You were the gold standard- what the heck are you doing?

  76. Goddamn-avatar

Page unloads and reloads like hell. I go to other tab and come back to previous one, it reloads; I try to upload a picture, it reloads; i switch to other app and and come back in a moment, page reloads; i lock the phone and unlock, page reloads. I wanna love firefox but you developers are making it hard. You guys can't even get the basics things right. Right now firefox browser can't even serve as secondary browser

Can no longer send links to all of your available methods. For instance... I use signal and it was in "recently used" and/or "all actions" when clicking the share link icon. Now Signal is not there and instead of several dozen choices I have only a few. Another horribly tedious thing is not having the ability to search bookmarks or history. That makes both practically unusable in Firefox Preview.

It's still very much in its infancy. It needs a lot of things: extensions support, gestures for tab-switching, night mode for web content, etc would be really cool to have. Edit: better extension support is here and so is gestures. I love it and it keeps getting better.

This is a good browser but for the love of God please add an option to change the homepage. This is the first thing that should have been baked in and it's not. I don't understand the logic here. Also with all the blank space at the bottom of the top sites page, why not give us an option to add more rows instead of allowing only two.

Pull-to-Refresh was sent from Hell by Satan himself! I cannot tell you how many times I have lost something I was typing because I tried to scroll up to read some info I needed and the fricking screen refreshed. I nearly threw my phone the last time this happened. SO FREAKING ENRAGING!!!!! Whoever implemented this feature with no ability to disable, I wish upon you SUFFERING.

Still slower and clunkier than Chrome o 9ld Firefox before redesign. As of Mar 2021 still have bugs in it like very short pulls when scrolling can activate pull-to-refrrsh gesture. Annoying. It still cant multi task/hold pages in memory/cache like Chrome Private Browser can. If you switch applications and come back. Chances are the tab will need to reload. Old firefox still better

Finally!! On par with chrome. And God bless! A bottom url bar! And pull to refresh! This is now my main browser on Android. Great with add-ons. Mozilla finally made a great browser. There are some issues with video on random sites. Still 5 stars.

I'm very fun of FF but: 1# still no native pdf support. 5-2 stars. 2# logic in open new tab process is does not make sense and is messy. Comparing "write down link" vs "pined" vs "collections" vs "bookmarks": Write down link is used very RARE, so activating keyboard on + new tab button is bad idea. Pined vs collections should be combined in One functionality directly related to bookmark directories. So do collections like bubbles which represents bookmakrs directories. 5-2-2 stars.

Last 2 or 3 tabs that I closed open up again automatically when I relaunch the app. Unusable, every time I leave the app then come back to it, it goes back to a previous page I was on not the current page. Pages also load very slow, I'm going to use the Brave browser until these issues are fixed, it loads pages much faster.

Why do I lose an entire text entry field when I scroll to the top of the page? Why do I need to install this version, just so I can get about:config so I can do the viewport tweaks I need to do to make the real version of websites load instead of the mobile site? (Mobile sites SUCK). Why do I need workarounds to get basic addons installed? Why do I need two hands to open new tabs? What happened to the good way of managing tabs? Who signed off on this new garbage that only shows three of them on the bottom of the screen? Its useless. What happened to tab queues? Why does nothing useful show up when I open a new tab? I could at least have the bookmarks\tab history pane show up instead of nothing. Why do I need to install v68 to get BASE FUNCTIONALITY BACK!? What happened to Mozilla, you used to be at the tip of the spear...

20201008 Nightly reader view bookmarks are unreadable in FF... 20200920 Good gosh, I cannot revisit sites bookmarked in reader view because Firefox Nightly does not trust its own reader view URL. ‼️ Why does Firefox Nightly apply random 'moz:extension gibberish' in front bookmarks saved in reader view which duplicates bookmarks⁉️ PDFs are not downloading correctly; they're still downloading in a corrupt format which result as unreadable.‼️We need to be able to PRINT and view page source.

Mozilla has declared most add-ons are only for beta users, so I'm forced to use this version. First experience, logged into my Firefox account and the password field showed up in plain text. SwiftKey promptly saved it as a new word. Tried just normal browsing and I'm getting weird screen tearing all the time and some mobile pages are formatted with tonnes of horizontal scrolling for some reason. Essentially unusable save for very specific use cases.

When toolbar top is set and tab button is pressed, tab tray must open all the way up, not just part way, and have new tab button at top or in 3 dot menu, not just action button at bottom. Tab history also must open right up when toolbar top. Am now stopping using Firefox browser for now. If no tab tray behaviour allowance is made for top toolbar users I'll have to leave Firefox, phone and laptop.
