There is no option for disabling video thumbnail autoplay - this feature is very annoying and jittery, please add option to disable it.

Maybe in a dozen of decades they will finally add playback speed control to this app, but I believe Google and Alphabet will be bankrupt sooner.

Ads dont load showing me a black screen for minutes, videos keep buffering, I'm lucky if I can get 720p, 50% of the time I just wait for it to do something, nothing wrong with my connection

Please update The Android TV version of YouTube for video playback feature. It haven't update since May 2021 that was 3 months ago. Again please bring that feature to Android TV OS devices. I don't like it not updating daily like other apps.

I have never been a YouTube fan for random entertainment content, even before Google owned it, it's just too clumsy and random of an interface, more of a search engine interface vs streamlined content provider. For entertainment I have always gone to other sources that either have better content or much more effective and comfortable interfaces like Google Play Music or Google Play Movies and TV. Where youtube excels for me is in finding how to videos and content on demand where I am searching for very specific content. And for this purpose it works well for finding and viewing random creator created content. I will continue to use it in this regard frequently. My biggest gripe and pet peeve is the interface for bought and saved digital content as well as preference based recommendation lists or content browsing, the interface is just painfully bad. A few months back Google decommissioned google play music and forced me onto Youtube Music and now they are doing the same for Google Play movies and TV. I am a business person so I understand needing or wanting to consolidate offerings to simplify the business model and costs and I also understand that with YouTube having a much bigger user based than my prefered sources that it makes sense for that to be the landing place of this and my content previously purchased. I don't love YouTube Music interface there are many functional things I don't like but at least it's a stand alone app that I can get used to and live with. That said burying content particularly my purchased digital TV and Movie library in the depths of a much larger application designed with a different purpose and being forced into a much clubsier interface simply does not make sense to me. Additionally the interface for finding new and expanding my digital TV and movie content is frankly frustratingly more difficult then other sources that are streamlined for this purpose. As such I will only be using YouTube for the content I already own and the adhoc how to stuff it is better suited for. Other then that I will be taking by digital movie and TV business to other providers until the improve/simplify access to this content and the interface / user experience in general..

Seems to force captions on with no option to disable them. Captions for everything, including ads, it's just annoying. No settings within the app are relevant, and disabling through the web interface has no impact on the app.

It's impossible to view live streams on vp9 codec because the image glitches after a few seconds and it takes a lot of effort and luck to fix this every time. It's an issue that's very annoying and needs to be fixed.

After being signed out of the app and not being able to sign in again, because it just wont let you,i reinstalled it on our android tv and we could sign in but there was no side panel ??? Why? Not user friendly anymore at all. Good one Youtube!! I then uninstalled and went back to an older version. Now have side panel back and full control with sign in. We will wait and see what happens for now and see if they come up with a new one that actually works.
