One of the best aids to language learning I've ever used. The fact that you can only use it for 5 minutes a day keeps it low effort, but continued use really teaches you a lot of vocab *that sticks with you*, so the cost-benefit (in terms of time spent on the app) is highly positive. The voice used by the app also sounds very natural, not at all like a robot, and that is a huge pro in my opinion. It probably won't lead you to fluency alone, but it'll surely make the road there a little easier.

Update: This is the default app for building vocabulary and phrases. They have so many languages and the experience is very well tailored to mobile sesssions. Suggestions: In-Game for sentence building, grammar rules, and selecting the correct response. You get a deck of cards, it gives a sentence or phrase and you have to fill in the blank. Choose the correct option out of 4 choices. Also, potentially having the type out the word to fill in the blank.

This app could be great only if it worked. I have paid for a yearly subscription, however the premium access wasn't unlocked. I tried to open a support ticket to let them unlock the premium, only to find the ticket got deleted after few hours without any support! Do they want me to pay twice?!

Almost, I was hooked by this app. I thought about purchasing it. But now they "improved" the images. The old images are like logos. Destilled to the essential meaning. The new images are like paintings, lots of details that you can't make out when the image is only a thumbnail. Being black and white doesn't help me to recognise those tiny drawings.

The best and the only app only focused in learning vocabulary by repetition. It is amazing, easy to use, efficient and really cheap if you consider the relation cost-benefit. Totally recommended.

I love this app and it really helps me to build my vocabulary. I love the graphics and the way everything is set up. My only discrepancy is that you have to pay in order to practice for more than 5 minutes within a 9 hour period. Then you have to wait 9 hours after the one 5 minutes session. It wasn't like this before the update, when I originally downloaded it. I'm not paying to do more than 5 minutes but I still like the app.

I'm trying to learn Cantonese, but it's so, so hard. Rather than starting with one word at a time, perfecting those few, then starting to put them together, I had entire sentences thrown at me! It's so overwhelming. I'm guessing, not learning. Pretty though....

Good supplemental app for language learning. I don't like that a reward is a 10 minute learning session :( I can only learn in the morning and when the lesson hits ten minutes I just decide duolingo's 1000+ day streak is worth more time than the "enhanced reward" 10 minutes to get to (70 ish days? Yeah I can just do that again once I do have 10 minutes to spare at some later time, but I will keep stopping using this app because it has a chance to take up more time than expected)

Beware when you subscribe for premium. There is no easy link to cancel. They will only give you a link to re-subscribe or update your credit card info. You have to email them to cancel. I think that's despicable. One *
