A good way to learn a language with a focus on conversation and with opportunity to learn a bit more than just the language. The android version has one large annoyance: it uses it's own keyboard. It's a vanilla English keyboard so you have to long press for accented letters, and if your version of Android has any nicities like being able to move the cursor with buttons, they doesn't work. I've hit the back button several times by accident when I just wanted to move the cursor left.

babbel learn languages apk Terrible Customer Service and Terrible App. This is a poor app and too expensive for the lack of resources on it. Any other language learning app is better in conversational settings than this one. Along with that, I wanted to cancel and wasn't able to, then they charged me with the auto renewal date and won't contact me back for a refund. I have emailed twice and called 3 times during their business hours and no response. Just terrible.

babbel learn languages app I have previously used Rosetta Stone and initially found it ok, but after about an hour it just becomes matching words to pictures that you're given no explanation as to what the words actually mean. Babbel is a thousand times better as it describes what each word means, gives you examples of sentences you can use it in and fully explains the word for you so you get a deeper understanding of the language. Overall I find Babbel a much more user friendly interface.

babbel learn languages mod apk I really believe the babble way of teaching and it seems to work but the web browser version is better. The most annoying thing for me is that on the browser you can click the image or text and hear how it is said. On the app you have to select the order of words to hear it and then you can only hear it once because it automatically skips to the next exercise. This is critical for me... I need to replay the sound 5 times at least to understand how to say it.

babbel learn languages online Very good learning app with reactive lessons and a breadth of options that understand how we best learn. It incorporates speech, hearing, and writing all at once, which goes a long way in solidifying the material... with one mildly annoying oversight - you can't use your system's default keyboard. I'm learning Spanish from French, but the app assumes I use an AZERTY keyboard and I can't change it to QWERTY. Please allow us to customize the layout - I paid for a subscription, for what it's worth

babbel learning languages Definitely worth using the paid version. The explanations of grammar are clear and it is obvious that this has been carefully designed with the input of language experts. The interface is less simplified and user friendly than other language apps but it is exactly what it needs to be and I find it less infantile the the alternatives.

premium apk Its good, far from perfect though as there are many ways they could improve the app. One way I can think of is adding a feature that quickly let's you flip through lessons you've previously completed to review the material. As it is now, you have to do the whole lesson over again which is insanely tedious. I just want to review the rules, cases and verbs. Please add that Edit: the Review is mediocre at best, it doesn't let you review the verbs/rules you've learned, only the vocabulary.

premium v20.3.1 cracked apk Love using Babble now. Fantastic variety of skills and topics. Words, phrases, concepts are introduced several ways so they stick. I wish I could give 4.9 - would be 5 stars except every now and then the sound has an issue (if i rewind a listening section to the beginning for example the sound no longer works sometimes). But i just have to sign out and sign back in. Huge grammar section separely is very nice. And i really like the audio reviews to listen to when I'm walking. Nice work!

app store All was well and good until I got a new phone. 1 month after forking over $80 for the year and now it refuses to acknowledge my subscription. I've updated. Reinstalled. Logged in, out, and in again. Tried Google, email, fb.... nothing works. Not only is the app inaccessible now but I feel like I got robbed by babbel.

premium App got updated and my display language changed from British English to American which made my progress disappear but it returned when I switched back. The app is good for getting started, but if you're serious about learning a language you need additional materials like books because the app is not systematic nor does it allow you to easily acces grammar rules, verbs etc. that you have learned in previous lessons. You always need to repeat the whole lesson, which is inconvenient.

I had been using a different language learning app for years but felt like it was the same things over and over and I was losing interest. Babble offers much more variety and I feel like it helps more conversationally. I don't need more vocab, I need to know how to put it together to make conversation. Babble is definately helping with this! Worth the money!

Trying to use an apostrophe was a problem and nothing there was nothing that told you how. Check out Duolingo. They are much more intuitive and user friendly. That's why I used them over Babbel. The problem with tech in general...tech types don't seem to understand, everyone doesn't eat, sleep, and breathe tech 24/7/365. All it is, a tool to be used. Nothing more, nothing less!

Very happy with the quality of the lessons and the review sessions. I feel like I'm slowly making progress. My one complaint with the app would be the speech recognition sometimes causes it to crash, and I have to leave the lesson and start again. Maybe my speech is just that bad? When it does work I'm not sure how useful it is anyway, so I now just turn it off. Still the best value for money Indonesian language course I could find, so still 5 stars.

I am enjoying the app. I am learning more French words. I would have given it 5 stars but for the fact that I sometimes have difficulty with the speaking and listening section. Distinguishing between F and S are sometimes impossible, both for myself and Babbel.

The desktop version is much better than the app. The most annoying thing I've encountered so far is that the keyboard in the app is extremely limited and doesn't allow you to use letters with accents or apostrophes. I'm learning French so these limitations means it's impossible for many of my answers to be marked correct since I cannot put in an apostrophe. It's also annoying that it deletes your entire answer if one or two letters are incorrect.

Excellent app, and very thorough compared to duo lingo. My biggest problem is the subscription, I just don't understand why there isn't a subscription which allowes you to pay monthly, instead of in 3-month chunks. I'd rather commit to a 3/6/9/12 month subscription, where I cant cancel before a certain amount of months, than to pay in one large chunk. I needs to be more accessible, otherwise, perfect app for learning Spanish, it really helped me to understand the language.

Unfortunately it is a really bad experience while using the app version. Every exercise goes quickly to another page without giving an opportunity to replay the recording again in order to familiarise yourself with the foreign sound. In this particular case Duolingo app is so much better, because you can actually replay every single sentence from the exercise. It is crucial to be able to speak and pronounce words correctly. Moreover Babbel built-in keyboard makes it impossible to type " ' ".

It's great to learn! Amazing customer support, after posting my review they reached out to send an email showing they care about their application and getting it to work as fluid as possible. If you are having trouble with the speech recognition check the settings options to turn up or down microphone sensitivity. Mine was defaulted to high, resulting in frustrating errors during lessons. This was a easy fix thanks to their customer support!

I have been enjoying the app for a little while now. I really just wanted to brush up and expand my Spanish. I already know a bit so I expected to hear quite a bit of review in the beginning. As the lessons progressed, I did learn some new things, but once I completed lesson 7 (which is still pretty basic stuff) I can't seem to go any further. I paid for a full year. I received a notification that my next lesson was ready, but there is still nothing beyond lesson 7. Does it stop here?

One of very few apps that has a thorough course in Danish. I wish the monthly subscriptions weren't so expensive or weren't charged all at once for a long term subscription. I can afford $7/month for a hobby. I cant afford a one time fee of nearly $100.

A decent app with some major annoyances. I've selected to learn Spanish from Latin America, yet it still presents me with Spanish words specific to Spain. There's no option to disable it. Also, when I'm done with a section, the next day there will be a cumulative review. The problem is the app is not good at learning my strengths and weaknesses. There can be 200 review questions, many containing review questions I already know well. For this reason, the review can sometimes be a waste of time.

After using a few different apps this is the one to try if you're looking to learn a language properly. I've used it for French and now Spanish. It's great. My only suggestion would be to add the alphabet with pronunciation of each letter. Learning the alphabet in a language really helps me to spell and pronounce the words.

It's been 2 weeks since I've been able to do a lesson because the app won't connect correctly. Everytime I try to do a lesson, I get the "OOPS, try again later" message. All I can do is review words and listen to stories. All this for a $50 subscription. Use duolingo, it's free and it works.

4/11/2021: updated to 5 stars 2/27/2021: Seems good so far. These app developers all ask for ratings way too soon. They should wait till you've spent a fair amount of time using their app. So, for now, based on 5 minutes using Babbel for Spanish (Latin America), I will give them a 4-star review. I like what I see of their teaching method so far. If they knock my socks off in the coming weeks, I'll return to give them a 5. Of course, they could also remain at 4 in my opinion, or drop lower.

Basic design but it works. Sometimes it's really basic (match "t-shirt" with "t-shirt"). I'm learning German for 6 months and the newsletter tells me that my French is improving! Today, it reset my language preferences and showed me again I want to learn French. This isn't normal...

Using this app for several year on MAC and Iphone and now Android. No problems. Few days ago i go into Review On my Samsung S21 and the Listening option is gone. Contacted Babbel and next day got a reply that i should reinstall. But before i did that i tried again maybe 2-3 days later and the Listening option was back - at least for a few minutes. Then gone again. I reinstalled twice. No luck. Rather annoying. Duolingo here i come.

So far I like it more than duo lingo the one thing I am frustrated about is that when typing a word with a ' i always get it incorrectly because their keyboard doesn't have that key.. I like actualy learning and seeing sentences that I will use not ones like "i am a cat" like other language apps have you learn.

I've tried Babbel a few times before and didn't like it. I'm really serious and more dedicated to learning a language now and decided to give Babbel another chance. Paid for a six month subscription and I am not disappointed at all! It's truly amazing! I love it! And I intend on purchasing another subscription once I finish this language and move onto the next! One of my favorite language apps!

This isn't to say I expected to be an expert but really if you asked me a question from lesson 1 that I didn't already know I wouldn't have an answer. If you miss hearing the words in some parts you can't replay it without going back to the beginning. If you get an answer wrong you don't get an explanation, you just keep guessing until you are correct. I'll continue with the free trial and reevaluate.

The best thing is that you can choose how to review: speaking, listening, flashcards, writing. And I like that you can add other vocab lists/lessons to your list if the linear content isn't covering a topic that you want sooner. I do wish that we could automatically select a harder way of testing (eg having to type without help). I also wish we could select particular words in the vocab list to play back, rather than 'play all.' For example, could we play just the past few lessons? And loop!

The format is a little wonky. Sometimes I won't get the answer because the app didn't register me hitting the button. It doesn't explain what the words mean while you're doing the exercise. Also, this is a paid app. There is a free trial, but it's not like Duolingo, or some others. You will not learn a language on the free version, it is just to promote the paid version. Honestly, my opinion, if you want to pay, get Rosetta or Duolingo. I'm sure this is fine for people who like it, but not many

Really not that great. I have had to reinstall the app twice. It then takes me to Spanish - and I can't get back to my French course for which I have paid. I don't want to learn Spanish or pay or another course!

I made the switch to Babbel from Duolingo a month ago, and it's excellent!! Duolingo tends to get very repetitive which become boring. On the other hand, Babbel includes features that makes you feel like you're learning and actually having a genuine conversation with a spanish speaker. One thing I hope to see in the future is a *DARK MODE* feature to make screen time easier on the eyes, and for better night time learning. Overall I find spanish learning on Babbel very enjoyable :)

No problem with the lessons, but they're not as slick as Duolingo. What I really don't like is that there's very limited content without a subscription. Duolingo is completely free if you don't mind a few ads, where Babel gives you a bit of a taster but very little of value unless you pay. I can't say Babel is better or worse than other apps in terms of the content: I don't know because I'm not willing to pay a subscription when a superb free alternative (Duolingo) is available.

I put in about 15 minutes a day and I'm seeing good progression with the lessons. However, I would like to see a little improvement in the revision side of the app. Particularly in the repetition of words/phrases you're getting wrong more frequently.

It's all been great, though after downloading the app to review more often, I was surprised to find that there isn't an option (or one that I can find) that allows a student to choose by knowledge level or theme for any of the review options.

Not impressed. I signed up for a 7-day trial and found the app to be clunky and missing some obvious features (such as a dictionary). Unfortunately I then forgot to cancel my trial so got stung with a subscription for not one month, but a whole year at $120. I then tried to make the best of an unwanted situation by accessing the subscription features, but found I am still locked out of them. I've mailed customer support but still no reply 4 days later. Not happy.

Babbel is excellent in helping one learn a language. The lessons are the right trade-off between too short or too long and the right mix between usage and grammar. Nice voices! Lesson reviews are great for bus 🚌 rides. Much more structured and coherent than Duolingo, can't compare

Great app. I really like how it teaches you to write the words and when to use words in different contexts, It's not common among other language learning apps and I highly appreciate it. The goal setting is another great thing, Because then I got to really think how much I have learned and how much should I improve. I highly recommend this app for if you're trying to learn a new language, It's great.

I liked the experience with the app, so I subscribed. Unfortunately, from one to the other, I got an "Oops something went wrong. Try again!" error in the app. I opened a ticket, was told to re-install the app, did what they said - but it didn't help. I reported back to them and their response was to close the ticket. Support is non-existing and now I have a subscription that I cannot use.

Not very different then duolingo, which is free. Only the very first level of Babbel is free, then you have to subscribe to access other lessons. That lesson was good, but not any better then the ones in its free competitors. Maybe there are more features you can utilize once you've learned more, but I wouldn't know because they asked for money before I was really sold. Would love a free trial, so I can really see if the ap's value.... but for now I'm going back to duolingo

It's more expensive than other language learning apps, but I've found it to be much easier to get hooked on. The language used is much more conversational and I love the little explanations that come with certain words and phrases. It definitely feels like the people at Babbel know the languages as their mother tongue rather than just having learned them in a text book. I also love the French podcast! I'm sad they stopped it but aprés away is the best French podcast I have listened to.

Get what you pay for! Good for beginners as it has a good structure, teaches real every day phrases (nothing weird like "the chicken had dinner with the cows"), and you can redo sections as needed. It doesn't just randomly throw sentences at you over and over in the hopes that eventually you'll simply remember the sentence (unlike a certain other app), it actually teaches how to create the sentence so that even if there's some words you may not be familiar with you can still give it a good shot.

The app itself is not too bad for making the first steps in a language. However the subscription is automatically renewed and you have to go quiet deep into the settings to cancel it. So I spent a lot of money even though I am not using it anymore. Finally noticed it but have to pay for another 6 months.

So far so go(free part). (Gracias) I don't wanna pay without a couple lessons under my belt. Reason being is i would like to see how well it works. Intro was ok i would like to see a couple other lessons. The only reason I say this is what if it don't work? Then it would just be a waste of money and time. Either way it was fun for the first lesson.

I've been using Babbel for over a year now, it's formed part of my weekly routine to do some lessons and reviews. I like that the reviews are broken in to small chunks, so you can do it when you have a spare couple of minutes. Goals and reminders are great too. The speech recognition is great for practising speaking words and sentences, helping you correct your pronunciation.

I switched from Duolingo and find Babbel is much better and I enjoy the learning more. It is a bit expensive. The speech recognition system is problematic, so this app will make practicing your pronunciation difficult. Some of the lesson modules throw a lot at you, so you will need to practice to keep up. I would like to see more explanation of the words in sentences, but I love that they use natural language and phrases to teach rather than sentences/structures no one would say.
