There are 12 pre-set drills covering most anything one would want to do for practice. We used the flat shots, top spins, back spins, forehand, backhand, and lobs so far. The pre-set speed, frequency of ball feeding, and height were all reasonable but we liked having the ability to make slight adjustments to the height and speed of some drills.

Every drill we tested out was extremely helpful and fun. I watched my older son stand next to my younger some and provide constructive coaching as he was making his hots. In doing this, the younger one was able to make some quick adjustments and improve his shots.

Glitchy, often unresponsive. This is app is poorly made. It often states it loses connection with the machine, when the wifi signal is strong. You'll have to close the app and relaunch the app to gain control of the ball machine. Sometimes in manual mode it will allow directional change of the ball machine, and sometimes it won't. The core concepts of what is trying to be done can be seen, but the execution fails. Decent machine. Pathetic Failure of an app to run it.

After starting the ball machine with this phone app, I put the phone away in my pocket or on the bench. When I get back to the phone to stop the machine. The screen is locked and the wifi is disconnected from the ball machine due to screen lock. I have to unlock the screen and reconnect to Spinshot wifi before I can stop the ball machine. This takes too long, if it is an emergency. It would greatly improve the user experience if Drill Maker app prevents automatic screen lock and wifi disconnection. Similar to Netflix app.

Did not set App to right machine model and failed at first use. Spinshot team offered quick support and fixed it.

App becomes unresponsive after a few minutes. I have to close app and reopen it to gain control of the machine. I use a galaxy A12. Not sure if that matters. If they ever fix it, I'll come back and update review.

Works on my Galaxy S5 phone and Galaxy S9 Note but keeps crashing on my Galaxy S6. Older App version worked fine on all 3 phones. I use older phones to control the machine NOT my current daily phone which is the Galaxy S9 Note.
