I have the LG Optimus and somehow, none of the doc apps I tried (Docs To Go i.e.) could launch/open files in the Dropbox app! In addition, the app wouldn't allow me to download files directly into my SD card or phone memory! This app fixed the bigger of the two issues - it allows me to download the files into a dedicated folder straight from dropox. So guess what app I deleted?? Thx Teru-Kusu. You could make it prettier though. So 4 stars :)

Dropbox doesn't do downloading well enough, and this app fixes the problem. However, it's pretty lame that it requires another File Manager app to download. That's retarded considering I already have a file manager. I'll rate again when it no longer needs another app to do what this app is supposed to do and advertised to do.

In broken English, it asks for "the mail address and pass word." Just a vanilla, standard Android form, nothing at all to suggest it's using SSL to connect to the DB site. Nothing to suggest it's not just forwarding all my login info to Nigeria. Safe, unsafe? No idea. Uninstalled.

will not let me login,password is correct but nothing. like this app it is wasting space if issue is not resolved.

Instead of using the excellent Dropbox app, why use this? Try downloading a couple albums from your Dropbox folder into your phone. And let me know how it goes. This allows you to download the entire album, instead of one file at a time.

Really? Forcing people to use not only a specific, but also inferior, file manager? That's just stupid. No thanks. Dropsync is better.

The official Dropbox app does too much, and avoids providing a simple download. It's always running in the background, and "hides" the cache folder for the downloaded files I want. I like to put files onto dropbox just for my phone, and this app does just that. No syncing, just download. Set the default folder to my download folder, download that new ringtone I uploaded, use this app, end of story. This won't run in the background, or ask you to share your photos. I love the simplicity.
