Fellow Androids, the real solution is a .ZIP compressor to turn your "folders" into "files", then up/download using Drive, Dropbox, Amazon Cloud, or other cloud storage of choice. Period. Galaxy S7 (Android 6.0.1 Marshmellow) stock file manager even offers .zip compression out of the box, Dropbox Downloader or any other app needed.

Figured I'd give this a try, exporting one at a time sucks monkey balls... Also figured I'd give downloading to external SD a try, worked first time... Oh wait, it's probably because I'm using Cyan 12.1... It's also quicker than the Dbox app at downloading...

I couldn't find the option to download my files to my SD CARD..if there is the option can you please let me know pr if there isn't well maybe you should update it.... by the way i have galaxy s4... i will give 5 star if i could be helped

The "retry failed files" function always! fails. And its truly folder downloader, you can't download failed files manually in the app. And you cant use it to sync, it just creates another copy of files or overwrites them, downloading them all over again.

But I really wish this didn't require a whole new app. Dropbox should have it built in. I probably won't be using Dropbox anymore now. Google Drive allows this function easily. This app saved me a lot of work and time.

Works great for downloading folders to internal storage. I can then move them to external SD with another app if desired. As the notes state, external SD support was broken by KitKat restrictions. It's a pity that further development of the app was stopped before SD access was re-permitted under Lollipop, as there seems to be no way to grant the necessary per-app permission.

  7. Holt Kernodle-avatar

For some reason Dropbox pulled an "Apple" and decided to make it incredibly difficult to just download your stuff to an Android phone. This app solves the problem and allowed me to transfer some photos and audiobooks that would have taken forever to "favorite" one at a time in the official app.

Thank you³ for this! For some reason the Dropbox app doesn't have an option for batch export. You have to select and export each file individually. Which is ridiculous! This awesome little app allows you to select and download an entire folder. It has one job and it does it well!

  9. Devil by Deed-avatar

Just a heads up for anybody wanting to dl directly to their SD Card, Android has locked that ability to many Third Party apps. As of now, there is no way to do it without Rooting. What a step backwards.

PROs: Good idea. Downloads entire folder which Dropbox can't. CONs: for some reason pics become unreadable when I try to upload onto Facebook, even though they are jpeg format. I can see the image but Facebook can't see it for uploading so I end up "exporting" each pic individually
