Fantastic weight loss app! Betting with a large group of other dieters keeps you honest and realistic about your targets, and it pushes you to do the right thing consistently. It's fair, and it discourages cheating and unhealthy behaviors. It really works. I didn't purchase the subscription either: I just paid my bet a month ago, and today I won. I just got paid to lose weight. Mind blown. Well done DietBet.

The concept is great! However, Dietbet takes 10-25% of the pot. I do understand that they need to get paid. I wish they were more transparent with listing total winners per pot. In the end, you have no idea how much they are really taking. If you need a little motivation or a Kickstarter this may work for you. Keep in mind, this doesn't provide nutrition or an exercise plan.... it's just keeps you aware of your weight (basically you have to keep weighing yourself) which you can do for free.

I thought this would be a fun way to keep accountable, but people are cheating the system and no one cares! There is no host for the Transformer games so there is very little interaction or encouragement during most of the game. At weigh in time though, people post about consuming nothing but water in order to cheat the system to win! This is supposed to be about healthy weight loss and lifestyle changes, but unfortunately that's not what is happening for many.

While I did enjoy the actual function of the game, the app itself is hard to use because the hosts posts get lost so easily. Adding a search function to the posts would be nice.
