This is a very minimalistic dictionary. There are 10,000 words (as another person has noted, this is about the vocabulary of a 7 year old) and usually there are only one or two casual words in your language to define the foreign language word. As the flags on the icon indicate, it uses UK terms to define the Norwegian words. This can be very confusing for an American sometimes, and it's good to have a backup dictionary handy to double check. I bought this dictionary, because it was the only one I could find which actually has audio recordings of the words. These are certainly of an acceptable quality, and the app downloads them from the web. After you listen once to each word, its .wav file will be stored on your phone under the "/sdcard/.Mobile Systems/..." folder. One annoyance is that in order to download the sound without opening the menu, you need to press and release the speaker button with a very exact rhythm; I've found it's easier to use a stylus for this. It's not a high quality dictionary, but I have found it eminently useful. I'm going through a letter each day and basically memorizing all the words in order to learn the Norwegian language.

At least this far. Only tried it for a little time. The Norwegian pronunciations are from a native, and it sounds crisp and otherwise excellent. Would recommend it for foreigners learning Norwegian, although for Norwegians in need of a translation tool it's a far too limited wordbase.
